Obama, during the Democrat Party primary debate, said that he would raise capital gains rates — not because it would increase revenue, but because it was “fair.” During the debate, Obama said, “…I would look at raising the capital gains tax for purposes of fairness.” He continued, “…I also want to make sure is that our tax system is fair….”
The “problem” is that Obama did not define, precisely or otherwise, his definition of “fair.” Continue reading

While our MSM continues to wag their tongues all over Obama’s gayness they somehow, someway, missed the news that an auditor from the GAO testified in Congress and said:
“The Green River Formation–an assemblage of over 1,000 feet of sedimentary rocks that lie beneath parts of Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming–contains the world’s largest deposits of oil shale,”Anu K. Mittal, the GAO’s director of natural resources and environment said in written testimony submitted to the House Science Subcommittee on Energy and Environment.

Washington Post ombudsman Patrick Pexton touted the Post’s Romney-haircut “scoop” as a “deeply reported story” that “holds up to scrutiny.” But the family of the haircut victims told ABC it was “factually inaccurate” and it shouldn’t be used as a political football. Pexton said nonsense: the Post has received “no specific complaint of inaccuracy.”

We have joined the debate like adolescents cheering their favorite sport team. This debate of Gay Marriage has been manipulated to be a diversion, so that we forget the important issues: issues like our economy, the international failures of Obama, the acquisition of an American bank by China, the fact that we have no budget, Obama’s use of our military as political pawns, the fact that we have a corrupt and racist Justice Department.

Democratic strategists see these results as proof that Obama is regaining the momentum of 2008. Like the reports on the economy and jobs, news that can be spun with a positive view is vital to the Obama campaign.
