This vainglorious administration is so self-absorbed that it refuses to keep secrets if it can in any way benefit politically from them regardless of the cost. Obama is so bent on preening he seems not to have any concern at all for those who actually make the sacrifices. First Joe Biden outs SEAL Team 6 as those who participated in the Bin Laden raid and then Leon Panetta outed the doctor who helped provide intelligence for the raid. That was catastrophic for the doctor.

First he and his wife were fired for engaging in a “fake” vaccination program.

In a notification issued in this regard, the health department said that Afridi’s services were terminated under the Efficiency and Disciplinary (E and D) Rules for being involved in anti-state activities, the Express Tribune reports.

Earlier, 15 lady health workers who were part of the alleged fake vaccination campaign, were were also sacked from their jobs.

It was reported earlier this month that Dr Afridi was dismissed from his post, along with four LHVs.

Earlier, Dr. Shakeel’s wife, Imrana Ghafoor was also removed from her post. She was the principal of the Government Girls Degree College in Darra Adam Khel.

Now he has been jailed for 33 years for treason:

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — A Pakistani surgeon recruited by the CIA to help find Osama bin Laden was on Wednesday sentenced to 33 years in prison for treason, officials said.

Shakil Afridi, who was sacked as a government doctor two months ago, was found guilty under the tribal justice system of Khyber district, part of Pakistan’s semi-autonomous tribal belt.

In addition to his jail sentence, he was fined 320,000 rupees ($3,500). The doctor had worked for years as a surgeon in lawless Khyber, part of the Taliban and al-Qaeda infested tribal belt.

Afridi was not present in the court and not given a chance to defend himself, officials said. Under the tribal system, he would not have had access to a lawyer.

“He has been sentenced for 33 years on treason charges and has been moved to Peshawar central jail after the verdict was announced by the local court,” said Mohammad Siddiq, spokesman for the administrative head of Khyber.

In January, U.S. Defence Secretary Leon Panetta confirmed Afridi had worked for U.S. intelligence by collecting DNA to verify bin Laden’s presence and expressed concern about Pakistan’s treatment of him.

He was arrested shortly after U.S. troops killed the al-Qaeda leader on May 2, 2011 and in October a Pakistani commission recommended that he be tried for treason.

Golly, given this event who wouldn’t want to want to come to the aid of America? The left has not had word of complaint- not about this nor about the unprecedented access to classified material offered to filmmakers in the process of Obama idolatry.

Contrast that to the phony kerfuffle over Valerie Plame and the scorn wrongly heaped upon George Bush.

I guess smartphones are now going to have to come with smartusers:

Avid texters beware: Fort Lee, N.J. police said they will begin issuing $85 jaywalking tickets to pedestrians who are caught texting while walking.

“It’s a big distraction. Pedestrians aren’t watching where they are going and they are not aware,” said Thomas Ripoli, chief of the Fort Lee Police Department.

Ripoli said the borough, which is home to approximately 35,000 residents, has suffered three fatal pedestrian-involved accidents this year. He hopes his crackdown on people who display dangerous behavior while walking will make his town safer, but not everyone is on board with the idea of issuing $85 tickets.

~~~
Two professors at Stony Brook University in New York conducted a study on walking and texting. They found texters are 60 percent more likely to veer off line than non-texters.
“We want to raise awareness that a real disruption occurs because of texting,” Eric Lamberg, co-author of the study, told Long Island Business News. “Texting disrupts your ability much more than does talking.”
So walking and talking on the phone is still okay?  How about reading a book and walking?  Isn’t that a walker distraction as well?  Dan Seifert notes that walking and chewing gum at the same time is still allowed.  Phew!
3 “idiot” (I don’t really know if they were idiots or not) pedestrians vs. about 35,000 potential walkers each day.  Is it really necessary to create a new law that affects the rest of society to protect people and society from the lack of sound judgment on the part of the few?  Is this not a case of an over-reaction law?  Or does it make sound sense?  Texting and walking, texting and running, texting and doing just about anything at the same time….potentially hazard to society?
With apparently 74 pedestrian crashes last year in Ft. Lee, maybe this is unique to Ft. Lee residents?  Looks like it’s the problem of jaywalking in general that’s at issue in that town:
Pedestrians contributed to 20 percent of all traffic fatalities in New Jersey in 2010, the last year for which complete state police statistics have been compiled. Only distracted driving contributed to more deaths — 23 percent.
Combining both factors — as happens when a driver on a cellphone meets a texter on foot — too often leads to trips to hospitals or morgues, yet cops traditionally give breaks to walkers.
“If you give a pedestrian a ticket, he looks at you like you have two heads,” said Fair Lawn Patrolman Tim Franco, who heads the New Jersey Police Traffic Officers Association. “But when you have a serious public safety situation, as in Fort Lee, I’m glad they’re doing this.”
As statewide traffic figures suggest, almost every town has a serious pedestrian safety problem. That’s why the Legislature passed a law in 2009 requiring drivers to stop — not simply yield — to walkers at painted crosswalks.
Dozens of towns, including Fort Lee, Bergenfield and Paramus, sent decoy cops to high-traffic intersections to enforce the law. A state-funded study of the Montclair sting suggested that motorists continued to give walkers the right of way long after the program ended.
But not everybody believes this change suggests success. Drivers often complain that the law has emboldened pedestrians to cross streets — at crosswalks and elsewhere — as if they always have the right of way, sometimes long after traffic lights turn against them.
Indeed, fatality statistics suggest that the biggest pedestrian safety issue isn’t at crosswalks. state police figures for 2010 showed 60 percent of pedestrian deaths occurred either in places where crossing was prohibited or because of unspecified “other pedestrian action in roadways.” That’s cop-speak for doing something stupid, like leaping over a barrier or some other form of jaywalking. Figures for 2009 were similar.
The law seems to be backing itself with a study by Erik M. Lamberg and Lisa M. Muratori, and published in Gait & Posture:
Abstract
Cell phone use among pedestrians leads to increased cognitive distraction, reduced situation awareness and increases in unsafe behavior. Performing a dual-task, such as talking or texting with a cell phone while walking, may interfere with working memory and result in walking errors. At baseline, thirty-three participants visually located a target 8m ahead; then vision was occluded and they were instructed to walk to the remembered target. One week later participants were assigned to either walk, walk while talking on a cell phone, or walk while texting on a cell phone toward the target with vision occluded. Duration and final location of the heel were noted. Linear distance traveled, lateral angular deviation from the start line, and gait velocity were derived. Changes from baseline to testing were analyzed with paired t-tests. Participants engaged in cell phone use presented with significant reductions in gait velocity (texting: 33% reduction, p=0.01; talking: 16% reduction, p=0.02). Moreover, participants who were texting while walking demonstrated a 61% increase in lateral deviation (p=0.04) and 13% increase in linear distance traveled (p=0.03). These results suggest that the dual-task of walking while using a cell phone impacts executive function and working memory and influences gait to such a degree that it may compromise safety. Importantly, comparison of the two cell phone conditions demonstrates texting creates a significantly greater interference effect on walking than talking on a cell phone.
One of the co-authors of the study:
“We were looking at whether texting had more disruptions than talking on a cell phone,” Lamberg said.
Researchers asked participants to walk to a point 8 feet away and then asked them to return and repeat the exercise while texting, as well as talking on cell phones.
The researchers found “gait velocity is reduced when using a cell phone while talking or texting,” that “navigational errors occur when texting while walking” and “texting while walking produces greater interference than talking on a cell phone.”
“Cell phone use among pedestrians leads to increased cognitive distraction, reduced situation awareness and increases in unsafe behavior,” according to the abstract of the study in Gait and Posture online. “Performing a dual-task, such as talking or texting with a cell phone while walking, may interfere with working memory and result in walking errors.”
Participants who texted while walking “veered off course, demonstrating a 61 percent increase in lateral deviation and 13 percent increase in distance traveled.”
Lamberg said this shows the impact such distractions have on walking, an activity that seems automatic.
For many people, doing anything that requires diverting brain power for the sake of multitasking obviously reduces attention from one thing in order to engage in another.  Some people are good at multitasking.  Others are not.  You don’t need a study to prove that someone enngaged in something more than simply walking will be less alert.  But the purpose of the clinical research wasn’t to study pedestrian & traffic safety issues:
“We are using the findings to help physical therapy patients improve true functional walking,” he said, noting some tasks may affect their gait or certain aspects of memory. “In rehabilitation, we should use this as a tool to prepare our patients to be more ready to function in a natural environment.”
He said patients going through rehabilitation might even be told to text or talk while walking as they seek to regain their stride.
“We think using dual-task methodology is a way to challenge people during rehabilitation,” Lamberg said, noting, at a minimum, people might be prepared for this dual tasking. “Using cell phone use as part of a gait-training paradigm isn’t common in physical therapy.”
~~~

“We want to raise awareness that a real disruption occurs because of texting,” Lamberg said of the bigger picture. “Texting disrupts your ability much more than does talking.”

Should texting while walking be banned? That’s not the idea behind the research.

“Absolutely not,” Lamberg said. “I think it’s just to raise an awareness to this issue, that it does disrupt your ability to walk naturally.”

Here are a couple of examples of really dumb laws:

Greene, NY: It’s against the law to eat peanuts and walk backwards down the street while a concert is playing

Marion, OH: It’s a violation to eat a donut while walking backwards.

In Devon Connecticut:

It is unlawful to walk backwards after sunset.

While in Hartford you aren’t allowed to cross the street while walking on your hands (was this a frequent problem?).

Of course, there are tons like them.

So do we need more and more cumbersome laws to protect people from their own idiocy?

Who’s responsible: Alexa or the state of New York:

Click here to view the embedded video.

Or both? And does this incident require more legislation?! Or just more common sense on the part of both the city workers and Alexa?

Even malls can be dangerous:

Click here to view the embedded video.

Dumb solution idea? Legislate a fountain ban on malls or the city in general (after all, pedestrians also exist outside of malls- and they could sue!); or, or course, create a law banning texting while walking in a mall.

That lady who fell in could have seriously <strike>embarrassed</strike> hurt herself! Let’s legislate before that happens to someone else!

While we’re at this, why aren’t we banning swimming pools instead of guns?

The collection agency for the Federal Reserve known as the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is working with legislators to gain control over the rights of Americans. Without the right to due process, the IRS can simply claim a citizen owes $50,000 dollars or more to their illegal operation. This accusation alone will give their agency the right to revoke American’s travel rights and even remove the right to own a firearm.

With the help of Representatives like Barbara Boxer of California, a bill rapidly working through Capitol Hill (passed through the Senate and is currently up for review in the House) will give the IRS power to:

    Accuse Americans of delinquency of tax payment without due process
Revoke their passports and travel rights
Place the accused in a centralize database
Authorize the removal of their right to own a firearm

No formal charges are required. Simply the accusation from the IRS is sufficed to strip American citizens of their Constitutional rights.

All you need is the accusation that you are a subversive.

Obama employs the words favored by the Nazis and Stalin and the Communists. Coincidence?

George Zimmerman has been the victim of what has to be one of the most disgraceful examples of journalistic and government behavior in modern history. Newspapers, networks and talking heads have convicted and hung George Zimmerman without the benefit of the truth. Worst of all, our elected leaders have led the lynch mob. It’s hard to imagine a greater atrocity than those who have been chosen to represent the people of this country exhibit such gross disregard for the American justice system. George Zimmerman has been maligned, libeled and slandered. Without a doubt attorneys all over are licking their chops and George, when you’re ready to file the lawsuits, here’s a suggestion as to where you might want to start.

Michael Nutter, D-Mayor of Philadelphia.

Mayor Mike had this to say about Zimmerman:

“I’ve called this nothing short of an assassination,” Nutter said in a nationally televised interview with MSNBC’s Alex Witt, echoing earlier comments he had made in local television interviews.

“This individual Zimmerman followed Trayvon for some period of time. Trayvon was not doing anything . . . was not a threat based on all the information and evidence and 911 tapes that have been released,” Nutter said.

On the recording of a 911 call Zimmerman made before the shooting, he tells the dispatcher a teenager – who he said looked like “a real suspicious guy” – had started running. The dispatcher asked Zimmerman whether he was following the young man. When he said he was, the dispatcher told Zimmerman not to.

“Clearly, Zimmerman was told not to continue any kind of pursuit,” Nutter said on MSNBC. “In my view . . . he tracked him down. He followed him and then shot and killed him.”

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Racebaiterville)

Rep. Frederica Wilson said this:

“Trayvon Was hunted down like a rabid dog. He was shot in the street. He was racially profiled.”

Her accusation is quite false. Zimmerman mentioned neither race nor clothing until specifically asked.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Fruitcake)

Rep. Maxine Waters talked about something being stiff:

“The evidence really points to a fact that you had a gung-ho so-called Neighborhood Watchman who wanted to be a cop, basically, who was following a young black man who was unarmed and had committed no crime,” Waters said. “That’s pretty stiff evidence that this is possibly a hate crime.”

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Communist)

She called the shooting a “modern day lynching.”

Schakowsky is a Marxist whodoesn’t believe you deserve to own your own property and is married to a felon.

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Twilight Zone)

Johnson said of Martin:

“He was executed for ‘WWB’ in a ‘GC.’ Walking While Black in a Gated Community.”

Johnson is the bright light who suggested that overpopulation could cause Guam to capsize:

Click here to view the embedded video.

Bill Maher (D-espicable)

Maher had this to say about Zimmerman:

“Aren’t we all convinced from that tape that this guy is a big, fat, fucking liar?”

One the excuses the left made for Maher’s comments disparaging of women was that he was a “comedian.” His description of Zimmerman as a “fat fucking liar” is certainly hilarious.

That Seasoned Guy from NBC

The “seasoned” producer from NBC who magically transformed this

    ZIMMERMAN: This guy looks like he’s up to no good, or he’s on drugs or something. It’s raining and he’s just walking around, looking about.

    911 DISPATCHER: Okay, is this guy, is he white, black, or Hispanic?

    ZIMMERMAN: He looks black.

into this:

“This guy looks like he’s up to no good … he looks black,” Zimmerman told a police dispatcher from his car.

The guy apparently has been fired, but George deserves to know his identity. And I want to hear Brian Williams apologize.

Barack Obama (Race monger in Chief)

Obama said:

“If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon.”

When Henry Gates was arrested, Obama immediately said the white cop “acted stupidly.”

When Muslim Nidal Hasan murdered 13 people at Fort Hood, Obama said:

“We don’t know all the answers yet. And I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we have all the facts.”

Notice a pattern? He’s mighty quick to defend some but when it comes to the “white Hispanic”, not so much.

Rep. Bobby Rush (D-Black Panthers)

Rush wore a hoodie in the halls of Congress as an expression of solidarity with Trayvon Martin, as though the hoodie had anything to do with anything.

In a crass and cynical move, Barack Obama exploits the death of Trayvon Martin in selling hoodies as a means of raising campaign funds.

And we can’t let this go without mentioning what a jerk Joe Scarborough has become. With all the above going on, what did Scarborough say? It’s the right politicizing the death of Trayvon Martin.

Well, there you are George. I am sure there are more to add to the list, but this is a good place to begin.

The Obamacare individual mandate demands that everyone have insurance coverage and penalizes those who do not carry insurance.

The fine for not purchasing health insurance under PPACA is $95 per person in 2014 (or 1% of taxable income, whichever is greater), $325 in 2015 (or 2%), and $695 in 2016 (or 2.5%). Thereafter, the mandate is indexed to inflation.

But hold on, there are exemptions:

In addition, many people are exempted from the mandate, such as those for whom premiums exceed 8 percent of household income. Hence, as premiums increase, more and more people will be exempted from the mandate.

So those exempted not only won’t pay the penalty, they will absolutely no incentive to spend a penny on health care coverage until they get sick and now they cannot be refused. Obamacare- it’s like going to a bank and making a $1000 withdrawal without ever opening an account. Not long ago this was called robbery.

Never mind that the architect of this disaster now says not only will it not save money, it’s going to cost a lot more:

In Wisconsin, Gruber reported that people purchasing insurance for themselves on the individual market would see, on average, premium increases of 30 percent by 2016, relative to what would have happened in the absence of Obamacare. In Minnesota, the law would increase premiums by 29 percent over the same period. Colorado was the least worst off, with premiums under the law rising by only 19 percent.

Never mind that none of the promises Obama made- keeping your plan, keeping your doctor, lowering premium costs- are worthless.

No, penalizing people for not having insurance is not a burden. Sheila-Jackson Lee, (D-Idiot), say it’s a positive thing. In Rep. Jackson-Lee’s view, however, this language does not actually impose a penalty. Not only that, but it’s like the civil rights struggle.

“I would make the argument, one, that instead it is an incentive to do right–that it is not penalizing because penalty is punishment,” Jackson-Lee told the Judiciary Committee.

“You’re not punished if you have health insurance, in fact. And so you are, in fact, incentivized to have health insurance, rather than take the negative which is to suggest that because we have a penalty you are being punished,” Rep. Jackson-Lee said.

“I am helping you. I am helping you not to have 26 percent un-insurance in the state of Texas. I’m helping children be insured. I’m helping diverse minorities be insured,” said Rep. Jackon-Lee. “And I know during the civil rights argument–even though we were arguing under the Constitution–there were many policy statements being made: Do we want to live in a nation that discriminates against a person because of the color of their skin? In addition to the constitutional argument, do we want to live in a nation where there are people being uninsured causing catastrophic costs unto the nation and others have to pay. I think that is the question that needs to be considered by the courts.”

And parking tickets? They’re a positive thing too.

“But I also need to say whether or not it is more an incentive than it is a punishment,” said Rep. Jackson-Lee. “I am more inspired by incentive. And I welcome it being a parking ticket. We get parking tickets all the time, and no one complains about being required to do the right thing.”

Eric Holder has blocked the South Carolina voter ID law on the basis that it unfairly burdens some potential voters:

The Justice Department on Friday rejected South Carolina’s law requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls, saying it makes it harder for minorities to cast ballots. It was the first voter ID law to be refused by the federal agency in nearly 20 years.

The Obama administration said South Carolina’s law didn’t meet the burden under the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which outlawed discriminatory practices preventing blacks from voting. Tens of thousands of minorities in South Carolina might not be able to cast ballots under South Carolina’s law because they don’t have the right photo ID, Assistant Attorney General Thomas Perez said.

The Supreme Court has upheld a similar law in Indiana.

South Carolina ID’s would be provided at no cost and South Carolina has even offered to provide free transportation to obtain one.

The Carter-Baker Commission of 2005 said voter ID was no burden:

A bipartisan Commission on Federal Election Reform in 2005 chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former U.S. Secretary of State James A. Baker III found no evidence that requiring photo IDs would suppress the minority vote. The panel recommended a national photo ID system and a campaign to register voters.

Want to see a side-splitter?

What’s wrong with showing identification when you vote? That’s an egregious civil rights violation if you ask the Obama Administration and liberal groups like the Center for American Progress, and the Advancement Project. So what happens if you show up at the front door of these groups without ID? Find out on this PJTV undercover investigation.

Click here to view the embedded video.

So it’s a burden to have to have an ID to vote, but it is not a burden to have to pay a penalty for not having insurance under Obamacare, and you can’t into the offices of those who say it’s a burden to have to have an ID without an ID.

You can’t make this stuff up.

If one person doesn’t need an ID to vote, than neither do I. And if I don’t need an ID to vote, then I don’t need one to board a plane or drive a car. It’s discriminatory. But that’s not this is all about. As wrote back in January, this election is all about fraud. Obama absolutely depends on it to win re-election. The more the left whines, the more dependent on fraud they are.

Al Sharpton once said of Rush Limbaugh:

“He doesn’t have the right to lie and accuse people of crimes”

But apparently Sharpton does have that right.

The professional race baiting hate monger Sharpton is once again running his mouth at full throttle. He has promised civil disobedience if he doesn’t get what he wants and what he really wants is to lynch George Zimmerman.

If George Zimmerman is not arrested in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin soon, theRev. Al Sharpton will call for an escalation in peaceful civil disobedience and economic sanctions.

Sharpton would not say the efforts would be taken against the city of Sanford specifically, but he has been critical of the police department’s handling of the case.

Saturday’s scheduled 11 a.m. march from Crooms Academy of Information Technology to the Sanford Police Department headquarters was organized by National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Coordinators said people will be bused in from other states to participate.

The civil rights activist and syndicated television show host said he will elaborate on this plan Saturday.

“I will speak about how the National Action Network will move to the next level if Zimmerman isn’t arrested,” Sharpton said, who founded the organization. He added that it was the Martin family and lawyers who first asked him to get involved and nationalize this story.

And he won’t be alone

The Rev. Jesse Jackson is also expected to participate in the event.

Sharpton doesn’t believe certain people have the right to self-defense:

“Whether he [Zimmerman] had a swollen or broken nose, neither one means he had to take a 9mm and kill someone,” he said. “It’s not about saying Zimmerman is innocent or guilty, this is about whether there was probable cause to arrest him.”

Sanford Police Chief Bill Lee did explain why Zimmerman wasn’t held:

Q. Why was George Zimmerman was not arrested the night of the shooting?

A. When the Sanford Police Department arrived at the scene of the incident, Mr. Zimmerman provided a statement claiming he acted in self-defense, which at the time was supported by physical evidence and testimony. By Florida Statute, law enforcement was prohibited from making an arrest based on the facts and circumstances they had at the time.

Additionally, when any police officer makes an arrest for any reason, the officer must swear and affirm that he/she is making the arrest in good faith and with probable cause. If the arrest is done maliciously and in bad faith, the officer and the city may be held liable.

According to Florida Statute 776.032 :

Immunity from criminal prosecution and civil action for justifiable use of force.— 776.032

A person who uses force as permitted in s. (1) 776.012, s. 776.013, or s. 776.031 is justified in using such force and is immune from criminal prosecution and civil action for the use of such force, unless the person against whom force was used is a law enforcement officer, as defined in s. 943.10(14), who was acting in the performance of his or her official duties and the officer identified himself or herself in accordance with any applicable law or the person using force knew or reasonably should have known that the person was a law enforcement officer. As used in this subsection, the term “criminal prosecution” includes arresting, detaining in custody, and charging or prosecuting the defendant.

A law enforcement agency may use standard procedures for investigating the use of force as described in subsection (1), but the agency may not arrest the person for using force unless it determines that there is probable cause that the force that was used was unlawful. (2)

Further, Zimmerman was within his rights to follow Martin

Q. Why did Mr. Zimmerman have a firearm in his possession while acting in the role of a neighborhood watch member?

A. Mr. Zimmerman holds a concealed weapon permit issued from the State of Florida. He is authorized to carry the weapon in a concealed manner wherever Florida Statute dictates.

Neighborhood Watch programs are designed for members of a neighborhood to be “eyes and ears” for police and to watch out for their neighbors. They are not members of the police department nor are they vigilantes.

Training provided by law enforcement agencies to Neighborhood Watch organizations stresses non-contact surveillance of suspicious situations, and notifying police of those situations so that law enforcement can respond and take control of the situation.

Mr. Zimmerman was not acting outside the legal boundaries of Florida Statute by carrying his weapon when this incident occurred. He was in fact on a personal errand in his vehicle when he observed Mr. Martin in the community and called the Sanford Police Department.

Al Sharpton has no use for either the facts or the truth, and he has a history of people dying in his wake. Jeff Jacoby once called Sharpton “The Democrats’ David Duke”:

1987: Sharpton spreads the incendiary Tawana Brawley hoax, insisting heatedly that a 15-year-old black girl was abducted, raped, and smeared with feces by a group of white men. He singles out Steve Pagones, a young prosecutor. Pagones is wholly innocent — the crime never occurred — but Sharpton taunts him: “If we’re lying, sue us, so we can . . . prove you did it.” Pagones does sue, and eventually wins a $345,000 verdict for defamation. To this day, Sharpton refuses to recant his unspeakable slander or to apologize for his role in the odious affair.

1991: A Hasidic Jewish driver in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights section accidentally kills Gavin Cato, a 7-year-old black child, and antisemitic riots erupt. Sharpton races to pour gasoline on the fire. At Gavin’s funeral he rails against the “diamond merchants” — code for Jews — with “the blood of innocent babies” on their hands. He mobilizes hundreds of demonstrators to march through the Jewish neighborhood, chanting, “No justice, no peace.” A rabbinical student, Yankel Rosenbaum, is surrounded by a mob shouting “Kill the Jews!” and stabbed to death.

1995: When the United House of Prayer, a large black landlord in Harlem, raises the rent on Freddy’s Fashion Mart, Freddy’s white Jewish owner is forced to raise the rent on his subtenant, a black-owned music store. A landlord-tenant dispute ensues; Sharpton uses it to incite racial hatred. “We will not stand by,” he warns malignantly, “and allow them to move this brother so that some white interloper can expand his business.” Sharpton’s National Action Network sets up picket lines; customers going into Freddy’s are spat on and cursed as “traitors” and “Uncle Toms.” Some protesters shout, “Burn down the Jew store!” and simulate striking a match. “We’re going to see that this cracker suffers,” says Sharpton’s colleague Morris Powell. On Dec. 8, one of the protesters bursts into Freddy’s, shoots four employees point-blank, then sets the store on fire. Seven employees die in the inferno.

If Sharpton were a white skinhead, he would be a political leper, spurned everywhere but the fringe. But far from being spurned, he is shown much deference. Democrats embrace him. Politicians court him. And journalists report on his comings and goings while politely sidestepping his career as a hatemongering racial hustler.

When Sharpton came to Boston to promote his campaign last week, for example, the news coverage was uniformly upbeat. The Boston Herald noted the “joyous singing and thunderous applause” that greeted the “civil rights leader,” whose “energetic visit left many enthusiastic about his presidential bid.” The Globe announced the arrival of “the colorful and controversial 48-year-old community activist” with a story listing the places and times of his public appearances. The only allusion to his ugly record was a vague quote from a local minister: “He obviously has a lot of history and controversy to overcome.” That was quickly countered by Sharpton’s own self-description as a man known “for my fights against racial profiling and discrimination.”

Well, that isn’t what Steve Pagones or the family of Yankel Rosenbaum or the loved ones of those who were burned alive at Freddy’s Fashion Mart know him for. As they can testify, Sharpton is a vicious liar and a dangerous bigot. As a matter of moral hygiene, his party and the press should be able to say so, too.

This vile man is continually rewarded for his malevolent behavior. Here Barack Obama embraces Sharpton

and MSNBC even gives him his own show.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Howard Kurtz has noted the peculiarity of Sharpton covering himself on his show

Then Kurtz turned specifically to how Sharpton has been covering the case, describing him as a “major African-American activist in this country.” Kurtz played a series of clips showing Sharpton speaking at the Trayvon Martin rally in Florida, then filming his show near the site of the rally, then speaking again at the rally, effortlessly switching between activist and TV host. Kurtz said that Sharpton was asking people to donate money to the cause, and even went down to the Justice Department with the Martins.

Lauren Ashburn struggled to figure out why Sharpton was allowed to, essentially, cover himself on his own show. She did add that Sharpton has never pretended to be a journalist, and MSNBC knew what they were getting when they hired him as a personality, but Kurtz still thought something smelled rotten at MSNBC.

“It seems to me MSNBC can say, ‘Okay, this is such an important case you can go and be an activist and you won’t do your show on the subject. Or you can do your show on the subject but don’t be standing with the parents at the rally and accompanying them to the Justice Department.’”

Eric Deggans, a media critic for the Tampa Bay Times, said he’s always been concerned with Sharpton’s role at the network, and this particular situation makes things difficult because MSNBC has an obligation to cover the story because it’s news. So having one of their hosts injecting themselves into the story is a problem. Deggans also brought up Zimmerman, and whether he could feel like he could get a fair shake from NBC News or MSNBC if he went on for interviews.

For all barbs it throws at Fox, MSNBC is the truly phony news network.

Liberals have been feverishly attacking Fox News for years now, irate that the Left’s monopoly on television news outlets has been broken. Conservatives, on the other hand, have tended to ignore MSNBC, even though that network is far more partisan, and less reliable, than Fox. Perhaps this is because of a perception that hardly anyone watches MSNBC. It is true, of course, that that network’s ratings are nowhere near Fox’s, but still, close to a million people watch the most popular MSNBC shows. That is far too many for a network that is not only ridiculously partisan, but spews hate on a regular basis.

So it is not surprising that it would offer a execrable miscreant like Sharpton his own show.

Gratefully, there are cooler heads.

Turner Clayton, the Seminole County chapter president of the NAACP, reacted immediately to Sharpton’s warning, saying, “We hope that the citizens of Sanford will govern themselves accordingly. We are not calling for any sanctions, against any business or anyone else. And, of course, what Rev. Sharpton does, that’s strictly the [National] Action Network. We can’t condone that part of the conversation, if that’s what he said.”

If it wasn’t for hate, there would be no Al Sharpton and it’s unfortunate that so many continue to follow him. Despite all the deaths that he has caused, he has never been held accountable for any of them. If anyone demands arrest, it’s Sharpton.

He doesn’t have the right to lie and accuse people of crimes.

Call me crazy, but I would have thought the beard would be a dead giveaway:

U.S. military commanders in Afghanistan have assigned ‘guardian angels’ – troops who watch over their comrades even as they sleep – as part of a series of increased security measures to protect troops against possible rogue attacks.

The added protections are part of a directive issued in recent weeks by Marine General John Allen, the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, to guard against insider threats.

And they come in the wake of a spike in attacks on U.S. and coalition forces by Afghans, including the point-blank shooting deaths of two U.S. advisers in Afghanistan’s Ministry of Interior.

The lengths the Taliban are prepared to go to in order to gain access to coalition forces was illustrated yesterday when local police arrested seven men dressed in women’s clothing in Mehterlam, Laghman province, east of Kabul.

Not that this cross-dressing tactic hasn’t been tried before…

When a story regarding the Trayvon Martin death appears, it is almost universally accompanied by this image:

It is of a Trayvon Martin years younger than he really was. And it’s not accurate. Dan Linehan has done some sleuthing and found a much different picture of Trayvon Martin than the one being forced down our throats. The real Trayvon Martin is being scrubbed as you read this.

This is a more recent image of Trayvon Martin

And so is this:

Twitter

It seems that Tray was also on Twitter, but his account seems to have been recently deleted by his family or friends.

His screen name was “@NO_LIMIT_NIGGA, as you can see from the twitpic account screenshot above. He was also a member of a twitter hash group #team4dat.

At first, I was skeptical that anyone would maintain an account with that sort of derogatory slur in the title, but after doing some research, it’s apparent that it was Trayvon’s account.

The account was in existence long before the shooting occurred a few weeks ago, and was deleted only recently, there are still dozens of references to @NO_LIMIT_NIGGA in google’s cache.

The associated twitpic account matches the account name and is still online at the time of publication. Most of the pics were uploaded months ago, so this account was associated with Trayvon long before the shooting took place.

Several of Tray’s friends have been very open about referring to Trayvon using that account as well. His cousin, who is quite active on Twitter, refers to Trayvon more than a dozen times using the @NO_LIMIT_NIGGA nickname.

See also here and here

Apparently the account has been terminated but Google has lots of cached references.

Trayvon referred to himself as “Slimm” in his Twitter account and his Facebook account.

He had friends in gangs, if he was not in one himself, and there is a question as to whether Martin was active in the drug trade.

On Facebook on February 5th, his friend posts on his wall asking to talk business. Trayvon says he doesn’t have a phone available and his friend says, “Damn were u at a nigga needa plant.”

George Zimmerman, on the other hand, doesn’t warrant the same treatment. The picture the media offers all the time is this one:

We don’t get to see George as a 13 year old. We don’t even get to see George nicely dressed.

George Zimmerman refers to himself as “Hispanic”, but the media has created a new ethnicity for George Zimmerman- the “white Hispanic.”

As Linehan notes, there has been extensive investigation by the media into Zimmerman but there has been little to none into Trayvon Martin.

Exit questions- Why is the media so afraid to accurately portray Trayvon Martin as he really was? Is it because people would stop wondering why George Zimmerman took an interest in him? Why did the media need to create the “white Hispanic” label for George Zimmerman?

Finally-if George Zimmerman is a “white Hispanic”, is Barack Obama a “white black”?

Tom Hanks has made a mockery of himself by participating in the Barack Obama ridicumentary “The Road Traveled.” The single most ludicrous phrase, arguably ever, uttered by Hanks was

“He would not dwell in blame”

Click here to view the embedded video.

Never mind that the movie is an obsequious love story. It’s also riddled with inaccuracies.

Never mind that.

“He would not dwell in blame.”

Good grief. It’s ALL Obama does. Brit Hume wondered how Hanks could blather those words without coughing. Obama lives to blame. He revels in blaming others. A Google search for “Obama blames Bush” yields 4,400,000 hits. Curiously, the first link that appears in a search that requests “Obama blames Bush” generates a Kos link that says “Romney blames President Obama for Bush-era law.” One wonders how that happens. But that’s for some other time.

Next try “Obama blames.” That’s good for 11,400,000 hits.

Some examples

Obama Blames “Loose Talk of War” With Iran for High Gas Prices …

Obama Blames High Gas Prices On Washington

Obama Blames Arab Springs And Tsunami In Japan For Slower Growth

And then there’s this one

Obama blamed troubles on Fox News, book says

It seems that George Bush may be finally escaping the dudgeon. A new target is in town. Obama lost white males not because of his left wing Alinsky/Bell-guided redistributionist philosophies, but because Fox News calls him a “Muslim” 24/7.

Corn writes that after the midterm elections, Obama told labor leaders in December 2010 that he held Fox partly responsible for him “losing white males.”

“…Fed by Fox News, they hear Obama is a Muslim 24/7, and it begins to seep in…The Republicans have been at this for 40 years. They have new resources, but the strategy is old,” Corn recounted Obama as saying.

Over at HuffPo, the locals have been challenged to provide any evidence for that and have nothing to offer.

Obama’s whining about Fox News is confusing, because he claimed that he doesn’t pay much attention to “cable chatter.” Neil Cavuto notes that contrary to what he says, Obama pays a lot of close attention to everything said about him:

So it’s nice to see when the usually unflappable start flapping. Like yesterday in Arizona, when the president got in Governor Jan Brewer’s face, apparently over an excerpt from her book — an excerpt.

But one the president never forgot and a slight so serious, that he couldn’t wait to discuss with her. And he did.

Usually the president getting in your face scares most folks. Not Governor Brewer, who as the picture shows, clearly had no problem getting back in his.

Seconds later Secret Service agents shot her. No, they didn’t, just wanted to see if you were paying attention.

But this “tiff at the tarmac” isn’t the issue. The president’s thin skin is.

I’ve seen it before. When he went after Bobby Jindal over the Louisiana governor’s criticism of his handling of the BP oil spill.

I’m telling you, Barack Obama never forgets. Just ask — I don’t know — anyone at Fox.

In response to the 24/7 Muslim accusation, Bret Baier took a moment to make a statement:

The Fox host added, “For the record, we found no examples of a host saying President Obama is a Muslim.”

Obama also hammered corporate executives for not seeing that Obama is a god:

And in a meeting with an adviser after the 2010 midterm elections, Obama slammed corporate executives for attacking him.

“I saved these guys when the economy was falling off a cliff,” Obama said, according to Corn. “Now I get nothing but their venom.”

“He would not dwell in blame”

Poor Barack. It’s never his fault. It’s always someone else’s fault. Why don’t Americans know that?

The President’s Pity Party is on. You’re all invited.

This is Mary Jo Kopechne. Ted Kennedy “forgot” about her while she was trapped in an inverted submerged car.

Democrats are pitching a phony “war on women” by the right following Rush Limbaugh’s comments on Sandra Fluke. They absolutely pale in contrast to what democrats have done. Rand Simberg recalls democrats’ war on women over the last several decades:

An evergreen guide to what the Left is doing or plans to do is to listen to what they accuse their political opponents of. Along those lines, incandescent in its projection, cynicism, and hypocrisy is the latest mantra emanating from the Democrats of the “Republican War On Women,” based on nothing more than some crude comments (since apologized for) by a talk-show host aimed at a Democrat feminist activist who thinks that the world owes her free (and expensive) contraception and, moreover, that it should be done in violation of the religious conscience of Catholics. Of course, they don’t want their demagoguery to be distracted by the annoying reality that their own misogyny and assault on women is much more virulent, and has been going on for much longer.

It should be shocking, by the conventional narrative, that the White House of a “liberal” president would be a hostile work environment for women, but it is not at all a surprise to anyone familiar with the history of the Democrats and the Left, going back at least to the 1960s, when a prominent Democrat politician got a pass from the media for abandoning a young woman (possibly pregnant by him) to drown in his car. The same man went on to later fame as the top slice of bread in a “waitress sandwich,” and yet was so lionized by the Left that not that long ago, at the time of his death, a woman(!) wrote that Mary Jo Kopechne might have been happy to undergo the terror as her lungs filled with the brackish water of Martha’s Vineyard had she only known what a great legislator he would turn out to be.

To see similar hypocritical Leftist misogyny, we need only go back to the last time a Democrat was in the White House. Whenever a woman came forward with allegations of inappropriate sexual conduct by Bill Clinton, the response of the Clinton defenders, both in and out of the media, was to attack her credibility, character, and virtue. Advisor James Carville famously said of Paula Jones (the young Arkansas state employee whom Clinton as governor had his state police guard procure to his hotel room for the purpose of orally pleasuring him), “Drag $100 bills through trailer parks, there’s no telling what you’ll find.” Evan Thomas of Newsweek dutifully complemented the slander by declaring her on national television “just some sleazy woman with big hair coming out of the trailer parks,” though he later was compelled to apologize in print. (One wonders how residents of trailer parks felt about that, but I guess empathy for them is for the little people.) When Kathleen Willey accused the president of groping her in the White House, and was physically threatened for her trouble, feminist icon and (former) scourge of sexual harassers Gloria Steinem said that it was no problem — he was entitled to a freebie, after which Cathy Young of Reason magazine reported on “the death of sexual harassment.”

It got worse. As the Paula Jones lawsuit progressed, and the president committed acts of obstruction of justice (federal felonies) by perjury and subornation of perjury through threats and bribes, the White House was prepared to go after Monica Lewinsky, the woman about whom he engaged in such obstruction. She was bribed with jobs, and urged to in turn suborn perjury from her confidante Linda Tripp, by implying threats against her family. If the incriminating blue dress hadn’t turned up, their plan was to continue to cover up and lie, and accuse Lewinsky of being a crazy stalker. The White House orchestrated the leak of the personnel files of Pentagon employee Linda Tripp, the only person in the entire fiasco who told the truth, in an attempt (sadly quite successful) to discredit her. This included a mistaken felony arrest record that had been sealed since she was a teenager. She was vilified and maligned in the media, with late-night comedians mocking her physical appearance. It’s unlikely that many of these people were either conservatives or Republicans.

Read it all.

Barack Obama is not without sin. His administration made life brutal for women.

Friction about the roles of women in the Obama White House grew so intense during the first two years of the president’s tenure that he was forced to take steps to reassure senior women on his staff that he valued their presence and their input.

At a dinner in November 2009, several senior female aides complained directly to the president that men enjoyed greater access to him and often muscled them out of key policy discussions.

Those tensions prompted Obama, urged on by senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, to elevate more women into senior White House positions, recognize them more during staff meetings and increase the female presence in the upper ranks of the reelection campaign. “There were some issues early on with women feeling as though they hadn’t figured out what their role was going to be on the senior team at the White House,” Jarrett said in an interview Monday. “Most of the women hadn’t worked on the campaign, and so they didn’t have a personal relationship with the president.”

The women’s-inclusion issue in the Obama White House is featured prominently in a controversial new book to be released Tuesday, “Confidence Men: Wall Street, Washington and the Education of a President,” by journalist Ron Suskind.

The book, based on more than 700 hours of interviews, including one with Obama, quotes a number of top officials describing a difficult work environment at the time for women, due largely to the dominating roles of male officials such as economics adviser Lawrence H. Summers and chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

Former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn was quoted as saying

“this place would be in court for a hostile workplace. . . . Because it actually fit all of the classic legal requirements for a genuinely hostile workplace to women.”

No word on whether Obama explained that to his daughters.

But the lapdog poodle press is rushing to Barack Obama’s side like faithful and dutiful pets. Remember I told you that the left has absolutely no long term memory whatsoever?

Meanwhile, Bristol Palin is still waiting for Obama’s phone call.

And I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear Obama explain to Sasha and Malia about Cee Lo Green (and Daddy is a fan of Cee Lo) and why Daddy arranged for someone to sing F*ck You (a song to a woman) at Daddy’s fundraiser. Don’t miss Green flipping the bird as well.

In case you missed something, here are the complete lyrics

(Chorus)
I See You Driving ’round Town
With The Girl I Love And I’m Like,
Fuck You!
Oo, Oo, Ooo
I Guess The Change In My Pocket
Wasn’t Enough I’m Like,
Fuck You!
And Fuck Her Too!
I Said, If I Was Richer, I’d Still Be With Ya
Ha, Now Ain’t That Some Shit? (ain’t That Some Shit?)
And Although There’s Pain In My Chest
I Still Wish You The Best With A…
Fuck You!
Oo, Oo, Ooo

Yeah I’m Sorry, I Can’t Afford A Ferrari,
But That Don’t Mean I Can’t Get You There.
I Guess He’s An Xbox And I’m More Atari,
But The Way You Play Your Game Ain’t Fair.

I Picture The Fool That Falls In Love With You
(oh Shit She’s A Gold Digger)
Well
(just Thought You Should Know Nigga)
Ooooooh
I’ve Got Some News For You
Yeah Go Run And Tell Your Little Boyfriend

(chorus)

Now I Know, That I Had To Borrow,
Beg And Steal And Lie And Cheat.
Trying To Keep Ya, Trying To Please Ya.
‘Cause Being In Love With You Ass Ain’t Cheap.

I Picture The Fool That Falls In Love With You
(oh Shit She’s A Gold Digger)
Well
(just Thought You Should Know Nigga)
Ooooooh
I’ve Got Some News For You
I Really Hate Yo Ass Right Now
(chorus)

Now Baby, Baby, Baby, Why D’you Wanna Wanna Hurt Me So Bad?

(so Bad, So Bad, So Bad)
I Tried To Tell My Mamma But She Told Me
“this Is One For Your Dad”
(your Dad, Your Dad, Your Dad)
Uh! Whhhy? Uh! Whhhy? Uh!
Whhhy Lady? Oh! I Love You Oh!
I Still Love You. Oooh!

This sounds like a truly touching Obama family melody. Maybe Obama can share some of Cee Lo’s other dubious remarks with his daughters as well. Maybe he could share all of this history with the kids. Maybe he could say “Girls, ain’t that some sh*t?”
