The word “unique” is overused, but I think my experience on 9/11/01 may have been unique. I was actually on a plane, flying from Charlotte to Houston, when the first plane hit the World Trade Center. There were thousands of people in the air when the attacks happened, but what made my case unusual was that I was traveling on a business trip with a coworker, who happened to be Muslim. Five years ago I signed up with the 2,996 project in which bloggers were assigned one of those who died on 9/11 to remember. I was given Aram Iskendarian. Aram was 41 the day he died. You can’t make this stuff up
This Sept. 11, the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks upon America, New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will dedicate the massive, $600 million National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center. What Americans have not been told is that this “memorial” will remake Ground Zero so that it does not acknowledge 9/11.
