Pelosi Demands Boehner Force Tax-Cheating Republican Resign…Ignores Tax-Cheating Charlie Rangel

Loading

Representative-Michael-GrimmRepublican Michael Grimm from New York won re-election to the house despite pleading guilty to tax evasion.

Grimm faces up to three years in prison for a tax evasion scheme that concealed revenue and off-the-books cash payments to undocumented workers at the Healthalicious restaurant he co-owned and managed.

After pleading guilty, Grimm said he would not resign but also sounded apologetic.

“I am truly, truly sorry for the mistakes that I made. … As long as I am able to serve I am going to serve, as of right now I am still in the capacity to serve,” Grimm said Tuesday.

House Speaker John Boehner withheld comment until speaking with Grimm. House Republicans said Grimm’s future would likely be decided after the Christmas holiday.

Republicans stopped campaigning for him during the election but he won anyway. Now guess who is demanding his resignation?

Yup, the same lady who wouldn’t demand her own corrupt party members to resign:

“Now that the election is over, Congressman Grimm is finally admitting the truth to his constituents,” Pelosi said in a statement Tuesday morning. “Clearly, Speaker Boehner must insist that Congressman Grimm resign immediately.”

Guess this makes sense since she demanded “cold cash” Jefferson resign right? Eh, not so much.

Charlie Rangel?

He was censored for tax evasion and ten other ethic violations but still has Democrats supporting him for every election, and no demand of a resignation.

I’m all for demanding Grimm to resign but if Grimm goes, so should Rangel. In the end Grimm will be forced to resign because our party holds our members accountable.

Unlike Pelosi’s party.

You would think Pelosi would be happy he was ‘helping’ (her) undocumented workers…oh wait, he’s a republican…

Did she oppose tax cheat timmy giethner’s nomination to the Treasury Department? If not, stfu Nancy.

Charlie R. was not convicted of anything.
Michael G. was.
I think that’s a easy difference.
Had Charlie R. been convicted of anything at all, I’d agree that he must go.
But he has not been.
I forgot about the Rangle Law whereby now all US taxpayers can simply pay back taxes and ignore all penalties and interest because Charlie did that and another lawmaker put it on the books….or tried to.

I’m all for demanding Grimm to resign but if Grimm goes, so should Rangel.

That simple little word “but” suggest that if Rangel does not resign, Grimm “should” stay.

With the understanding in mind that hypocrisy and dishonesty knows no bounds and is considered the norm at FA but just to remind you, history didn’t start with Pelosi not pushing for Rangel’s ouster. Even if it did, there seems to be some amnesia on Boehner’s take on Rangel as he wasn’t exactly handing him a box of attaboys. No, actually Charlie got knock off his House Ways and Means Committee chair, a rather serious blow. So, where’s ole Johnny boy today?

Digging back a bit, the impeachment trigger happy GOP certainly made a big ordeal of Clinton lying under oath about his cigar shenanigans (an obvious set GOP setup) but when Scooter Libby is convicted of obstruction, perjury, and lying to the FBI pertaining to how he played a role in leaking Valery Plame’s identity, well, republicans cried fowl only to leap with joy when GWB let him off the hook.

Flip flop much?

@Ronald+J.+Ward: I grow weary of left and right alike demanding high standards of behavior, yet whenever a liberal commits atrocious acts, they are “censured” or admonished, then allowed to continue as before. Reid, too, has been guilty of feeding tax breaks to relatives and Pelosi has funneled federal dollars to her husband’s business.

Obama celebrates tax cheats that incite racial violence under false pretenses by having Sharpton in the White House on a regular basis. Obviously, evading taxes does not concern him. Dead cops not withstanding.

Additionally, the left supports and cheers stonewalling investigations into Benghazi, the IRS scandal, Fast and Furious, wiretapping journalists and lying about Obamacare to get it embedded under the skin of the American taxpayer, like a tick.

Therefore, while Grimm should go, I oppose him leaving until Rangel goes.

As we have seen, Libby was punished and got no quarter from Bush… for “obstruction”, unrelated to the “outing” of an already out CIA employee (who, by the way, has been sending Tweets about another, REAL agent, but of course no one on the left cares about that).

Just like they use race, poverty, the economy, gender and sexual orientation, the left wants to use ethics as a political weapon for political advantage. No, not this time. Put up or shut up.

Don’t pay taxes and you get to be Obama’s go-to guy on race relations.

Grimm resigns. Again, Republicans exert pressue on those guilty of misconduct and purge them from their midst. Only Republicans have to worry about perceptions as the corrupt media covers for the left.
