Reports about the future of the Ferguson MO. police department are circulating:
The first steps in a major shakeup of the Ferguson, Missouri police department – including the resignation of Chief Thomas Jackson – could come as early as next week, according to local and federal officials who’ve been briefed on plans still being worked out by city and state leaders.
The plan, described by a source with direct knowledge of the plans as “extremely delicate,” said the details are still being hashed out in closed-door meetings between Ferguson city and St. Louis County officials who have sought consultation from the Justice Department, which is conducting a civil rights investigation into the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Michael Brown in August. The source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the plan could include not just the resignation of Chief Jackson but the resignation of Officer Darren Wilson, who shot and killed Brown on a Ferguson street, setting the city into weeks of unrest.
The source who spoke with msnbc said Chief Jackson and Officer Wilson are expected to be eased out of the Ferguson police force, before what could be a full-scale take over of the Ferguson force by the St. Louis County police.

In a question-and-answer session with a newspaper columnist at the Washington Ideas Forum, Holder would not say what the reforms should be or discuss potential leadership changes at the department. But he did say, “I think it’s pretty clear that the need for wholesale change in that department is appropriate.”
Holder knew this without waiting for the forensic evidence, which supports Officer Darren Wilson’s account.
Today Eric Holder pretends to be outraged at the leaks coming out of the Ferguson investigation:
Attorney General Eric Holder says that he is beyond exasperated — he is “mad,” in fact — at the leaks pouring out of the investigation into the police shooting death of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri.
Holder even went so far as to advise those responsible for leaking the information to “shut up” in a public interview at the Washington Ideas Forum on Wednesday.
“I think that somebody, these leakers, have made the determination that they’re trying to somehow shape public opinion about this case,” Holder told The Washington Post’s Jonathan Capehart.
“And that’s inconsistent with the way in which we conduct investigations, and especially grand jury investigations which are supposed to be secret.”

The Feds are leaking and almost certainly with Holder’s knowledge.
Holder is quoted as saying that laws must be enforced on a race basis and not on a legal basis despite the crimes committed:
Arrest patterns “must not lead to disparate treatment under the law, even if such treatment is unintended.
And he comes close to calling for the return of segregation:
“…police forces should reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.”
The underlying theme is that whites cannot properly police black neighborhoods. The converse- that black cops cannot police white neighborhoods- must also be true. And what of the NBA? The NFL? Neither represents the “diversity” of the communities in which they participate.
Exactly why does the Ferguson PD need “wholesale” change? Holder isn’t talking about that. The Ferguson Police Department took a lot of heat for the way it handled the riots following the shooting but Jay Nixon, the feckless Governor of Missouri, wound up doing exactly what the Ferguson PD was already doing because nothing less was working. That moron was calling for a “vigorous prosecution” of Officer Wilson before the investigations even started.
Innocence is not going to suffice for the race-hustling Holder. He wants a pound of white flesh and he’s determined to get it.
Not that anyone needs a refresher but Holder engineered the pardons of the FALN terrorists and Marc Rich, sent 2000 automatic weapons to drug cartels in Mexico, lied to Congress and can’t find a smidgen of corruption in the IRS.
Holder has said unequivocally that whites are not entitled to the same legal protections as are “his people.” Now he will see that two white cops lose their jobs for properly doing their jobs all the while completely ignoring the actions that led to the death of Michael Brown.
And he calls us “cowards.”

Five or six felony cases in Ferguson are being dropped because Officer Wilson cannot testify.

Because, just the other day, that chief said these leaks were the first he’d heard of his up-coming firing.
The convenience store has stated that they did NOT make any calls to the police they did not report a robbery or an assault Any idea why they felt doing that was necessary????

I’m not a big fan of today’s militarized police (another Obama creation), but it is amazing how leftists always seem to know exactly what happened in any police encounter without having any actual facts. Case in point: POTUS:”The police acted stupidly”. Of course, then Obama gives them armored anti-personnel vehicles and issues two billion hollow point rounds (enough to shoot every man, woman, and child in America six times) and assault weapons to the DHS, USPS, and other previously non-violent government agencies. Who’s acting stupidly?
My guess is that when Obama gave all of these military weapons and ammunition to police and domestic government agencies, he intended for them to be used on Tea Partiers and other conservatives, not his primary constituency, black thugs. More leftist unintended consequences that Herr Holder will have to sort out.

To state that is a laugh is a tremendous understatement. Holder accusing anyone else of manipulating facts to shape public opinion is beyond a joke. It is sick.
Wilson, of course, no matter what, would have had to resign and go elsewhere, if he can even do that. Not sure why the Chief needs to resign, but perhaps the investigation found evidence of racism, even if it was not involved in Brown’s shooting. No doubt, all that evidence will be revealed if and when changes are mandated.
To the video, punks act really brave when they know that it would take something pretty extreme to elicit a response. Gutless, cowardly trash; just like this administration.
@John: To quote a famous cow, “What difference, at this point, does it make?” The video in the store showed the prelude to what is proving to be a physical attack on Wilson, which resulted in Brown’s death. The store video SHOULD have resulted in some calm in Ferguson but, since we are dealing with people kept in a constant state of racist frenzy by race-baiters, that failed to happen.
What’s Holder going to do when firing two white guys is not going to be enough to sate the blood-lust appetite of those that have been being told, for two months, that they are OWED a conviction?

You obviously, haven’t been keeping up with current events. Since obama got elected, the citizen’s job (in obama’s mind) is to obey the absolute ruler. Can ANYONE name ONE time when obama or holder jumped into a situation where a white person seemed to be unfairly charged with a crime? I don’t know of any. Just the opposite. Holder met with the black family, but not the white family. If he wants to get to the truth, shouldn’t he talk to BOTH sides?
I have to admit that he is right on top of the situation: Ready to blame the police, even though the decision hasn’t been announced yet. If the decision is made against holder’s wishes, will he UNINTENTIONALLY say or do something that will help start the riots?
In one sense, I would like to see the police say that they will not respond if a riot starts, because it will probably lead to deaths, like holder seems to want. If the black community doesn’t want a white police officer to defend themselves against themselves in the community, let the blacks have it, and see what happens. What would happen if ONLY black police officers were sent to respond to any riots?
Did I miss why and on what grounds they can be forced out. Will the CoP and Governor allow this after what was said in Il.
