WaPo: ‘Obama Is Incompetent’

You know its getting bad when the WaPo editorial board calls into question Obama’s competence:

The president’s goal, to the extent he had one, seemed to be to tamp down all the assessments of gathering dangers that his own team had been issuing over the previous days.

This argument with his own administration is alarming on three levels.

The first has to do with simple competence. One can only imagine the whiplash that foreign leaders must be suffering. They heard U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power denounce Russia as “today . . . they open a new front . . . Russia’s force along the border is the largest it has been . . . the mask is coming off.” An hour later, Mr. Obama implicitly contradicted her: “I consider the actions that we’ve seen in the last week a continuation of what’s been taking place for months now . . . it’s not really a shift.”

Similarly, his senior advisers uniformly have warned of the unprecedented threat to America and Americans represented by Islamic extremists in Syria and Iraq. But Mr. Obama didn’t seem to agree. “Now, ISIL [the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant] poses an immediate threat to the people of Iraq and to people throughout the region,” he said. “My priority at this point is to make sure that the gains that ISIL made in Iraq are rolled back.” Contrast that ambition with this vow from Secretary of State John F. Kerry: “And make no mistake: We will continue to confront ISIL wherever it tries to spread its despicable hatred. The world must know that the United States of America will never back down in the face of such evil.”

The discrepancies raise the question of whether Mr. Obama controls his own administration, but that’s not the most disturbing element. His advisers are only stating the obvious: Russia has invaded Ukraine. The Islamic State and the Americans it is training are a danger to the United States. When Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. says the threat they pose is “in some ways . . . more frightening than anything I think I’ve seen as attorney general,” it’s not because he is a warmonger or an alarmist. He’s describing the world as he sees it. When Mr. Obama refuses to acknowledge the reality, allies naturally wonder whether he will also refuse to respond to it.

This man is completely, utterly, clueless. He lives in a fantasy world where he makes decisions, or more likely makes no decisions at all based on how he thinks the world should operate instead of the reality of the situation.

What gets me about this editorial is the fact that WaPo, along with the rest of the MSM, promoted this fool, covered up his mistakes, and called all of us who have tried warning the country about him fools, racist, and so on…

You reap what you sow.

While I agree there is a level of incompetence on his part, I would suggest many of his actions are quite deliberate also. The deliberate part is that he sees everything through a political lens, continually underestimating the effects of his policies. He is a product and believer of the “Blame America” first crowd, that every action we’ve taken in the national security and foreign policy is so we may exploit others. In domestic policy, he claims only a few are enriched. His policies, however, enriches the same group, long as he and his cronies have a portion of the skim.

Incompetent, yes. Willfully blind, more so. Being willfully blind, however, is very much more dangerous.

Is he an evil genius or an incompetent clown? I say he is an evil clown, and the next two years are going to be the fun house ride to hell.

All the terrorists attack in the USA in the past 6 years points to Obama’s incompetence. Oh, wait…

Similarly, his senior advisers uniformly have warned of the unprecedented threat to America and Americans represented by Islamic extremists in Syria and Iraq. But Mr. Obama didn’t seem to agree.

If you will recall, this was while Obama was on vacation. I thought at the time, as each of these speakers gave different versions of the level of threat facing us and the world, that it seemed like the teacher was out of the class and the children were acting up.

What it appeared like was that, contrary to what we are supposed to believe of Obama’s many, many vacations, is that while he was golfing and golfing and golfing, he was NOT in connection or communication with the government. It appeared that while he was golfing and golfing and golfing, his administration went on without him and voiced their various concerns, then when Obama got back to work, he had to redefine all the threatening descriptions so he would not have anything he had to do.

If he describes ISIS as the JV and something that will just run its course, no one should expect him to do anything (that might be political risky) about it. So, he describes the things he wants to utilize for political purposes as threatening (climate, income disparity) so he can leap into action and socialize, but will diminish true threats to the security of the nation and world and solve those problems simply because he deems them solved.

The Office of the President travel with the President.

George Bush was on vacation in the White House for 8 years.

Golf Cart 1 tries to stay centered between the roughs on each side of the eighth hole. The SS agents become nervous as a cloud of hashish obscures their view of the Commander and Chief, and a Choom Club visionary from O’s high school pot days, but Golf Cart 1 manipulates the climb to the eighth green. Obama staggers out of Golf Cart 1 and the hashish smoke, looks around and yells out, “Set my people free.”

Obama’s partner whispers to him, “Get a grip on yourself man, we’re down nine strokes and we are only on the eighth hole.”

Heh. WaPo headline: “Emperor has no clothes”. Welcome to reality, WaPo. As long as he doesn’t read about it in the New York Times, he’ll continue to act like he actually knows what’s going on. The jokes on him.

Whenever you start to see a one-time liberal media outlet suddenly looking like it got mugged by reality, follow the money.
While Obama could count on the WaPo to cover his derriere its earnings fell 85% between 2012 and 2013.
Last year the WaPo also let dozens of employees go and sold its main office (four blocks from the WH).
The WaPo also considered setting up a pay wall as an obstacle to online readers. (I’m looking at every page I want without being told I am not allowed. So, I guess they didn’t do this.)

Is WaPo following the lead of other papers that were in trouble so turned right?
There is the SF Gate that recently did the same thing.

Or does trying to get more readers have nothing to do with it?
(Yeah, right!)

The hell with the Post. They have for the most part been part of his cheerleading squad that helped him get into the Oval office twice. Unlike their role in Watergate, they have demonstrated that they are no longer part of our system of checks and balances which is what our “free press” was supposed to be for. In other words, they are part of the problem and not part of the solution. Not as bad as the NY Slime, but not far behind either. They have a way to go if they are to redeem themselves.

@Skookum:
Why is the USSS worried about cart #1 when the fool in the wipe house is a muslin terrorist?
His actions are guided by his muslim brothers. Another 9/11 is approaching and this time it will be nuclear. 5-6 strategically placed, 5-10 megaton dirty bombs, would severely cripple this country’s financial and economic activities.  The materials, the riggers and the triggers are all in this country. It is just a matter of when and where. The fool will be golfing when it occurs.

When an idiot does something, they usually intend to do it, idiotic or not. So, saying Obama does things with a “deliberate plan” seems to me just another method of disguising this fool’s incompetence.

Sadly his goal appears to be destroying the USA and he is doing a good job of that.

@This one: That was my point. If Obama was in contact and he was on a working vacation, why were all the people back at the office giving such divergent statements, then the need for Obama to walk it all back upon his return? Doesn’t sound like he took the office with him.

Now, since you want to return to the subject of 9/11, let’s do. Since it is alleged that Clinton famously briefed Bush fully on the bin Laden threat, why did Clinton do nothing himself to address the threat? Instead of blaming Bush for not taking all these steps to prevent 9/11 (which, of course the left would have vehemently opposed), why can you not hold Clinton just a bit responsible for doing nothing? Fact is, it would not have been possible to enact any of the stringent steps to guard against 9/11 until it happened.

So what, exactly would be Obama’s excuse for ignoring the threat now?

Bottom line is about 7000 Americans killed while Bush was POTUS
Bottom line was the DOW crashed 50% under Bush and doubled under Obama
Bottom line us Bush left with poll approval ratings 50% of what Obama has.
Bottom line is that fabled Sons of Iraq are now ISIS
Bottom line is that most posters here want someone else (Obama) to send other people ( the USmitary) off to do what they themselves will not do
Israel has no problem with the position Obama has taken, Israel along with the Saudis and our other “allies” in the Mideast have always supported the Sunni ISIS
Israel knows that Muslims have always preferred to kill other muslims

All you posters who want Obama to help the Iranians fight the ISIS send me a postcard from Iraq and let me know just how serious you really think this threat is

I wonder if this article form WaPo indicates an immediate shift to offering less-biased news due to Jeff Bezos as it’s owner.

I hope so, because the liberal bias in major news networks has been the biggest threat to America in the past few decades.

Just give us the news, and let the people decide.

John #15

You mean to say you need a blog poster to inform you how serious ISIS is?

You can’t be serious.

@MAKAYA: Oh John is serious, seriously loony!

@John: Top, middle and bottom line is that Obama sycophants want to keep blaming liberal and Obama failures one every possible diversion but where the solely belong; squarely on the shoulders of liberals and Obama.

@John:
Gee I can play this game.

Wealth gap widens under Obama. We were told he cared about income inequality.
Food stamp usage way up under Obama.
Real wages down under Obama.
Social security disability claims up under Obama.
Food prices way up under Obama.
Illegal immigration way up under Obama.
Middle east on fire under Obama. He promised we’d be better off since he understood Muslim culture.
Russia on the move under Obama. Romney was right.
Unemployment higher under Obama than Bush.

His big concern? Climate change.

Bottom line, he lies. Repeatedly he lies.

@Mully: I am glad you only hit the high spots. I would not have time this week to read everything you could have posted!

It’s really too bad that leftists cannot use facts that are based on reality. “…they know so much that isn’t true.” – RR

‘Obama Is Incompetent’

And that’s the ‘best’ thing they can say about him.

@This one: Nice try idiot!! The blame Bush days are over!!

@John: Nice try but the bottom line is that Democrats supported Bush’s intentions to go after Iraq!! How quickly you try and ignore this FACT!!
