The reignited war in Iraq is the latest result of a long string of incompetent decisions made by President Barack Obama. His premature decision to withdraw from Iraq left a power vacuum that the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) is happy to fill.
ISIS is taking over Iraq with a speed and efficiency reminiscent of the Nazi blitzkrieg across Europe in World War II. Al Jazeera is reporting that ISIS has taken an oil refinery along with an airbase and has also seized the western Anbar town of Rutba, adding that at least 70% of Anbar province is now under the control of ISIS. In fact, ISIS now holds nearly one-third of Iraq.
And the war is spreading-Syrian Air Force jets on Tuesday attacked ISIS near the town of al-Qaim, in northwestern Iraq no more than ten miles from the Syrian border.
The US still has troops in Germany so many decades after World War II, so why did Obama not keep enough soldiers in Iraq to keep the peace? Now, America’s worst nightmare might come true – an anti-American Taliban type state in Iraq that gives shelter to America’s enemies.
Speaking on Monday, US Secretary of State John Kerry said that President Barack Obama has prepared “a range of options for Iraq.” But if history is any indicator, the Obama White House will just drop the ball again and leave the Iraqi people in the cross hairs.
The heavy lifting in the Iraq War was done by George Bush and the US military, and it takes sheer stupidity to be able to pull defeat out of the jaws of victory.
Add in his empty threat of a ‘red’ line in Syria which emboldened America’s enemies, his disastrous Obamacare roll-out, the lackluster economy after a $1 trillion stimulus package, his failed reset with Russia, the failed green initiative as exemplified by Solyndra and Obama has failure written all over his face.
Now the other shoe is about to drop. The pullout of US forces from Afghanistan is likely to achieve the same abysmal result as in Iraq.
Russia has taken note of the weakness of America’s president. The result was annexation of the Crimea. Meanwhile, China is pressing its territorial claims against smaller Asian countries. American withdrawal from the world arena has led to more upheavals and a more dangerous world.
At home, Obamacare remains unpopular. Premiums have risen for many Americans. Things will get worse when the employers’ mandate is implemented after the November Congressional elections. Obama’s promise of “if you like your doctors, you can keep it,” proved to be a lie. He wanted to reach out to Republicans. Instead he passed Obamacare without a single Republican vote.
And now he has swapped five top terrorists for one likely deserter, a move that will encourage more kidnappings and is a slap to the face for soldiers who served honorably.
Income inequality has also gone up. Minorities are worse off now than when he became president, and economic growth is poor with a low labor participation rate.
His IRS targeted conservative groups. So much for bipartisanship and healing the country. He promised better relations with allies and instead bugged the phone of world leaders.
How has America managed to elect twice a man of such breath-taking incompetence? In 2008, Obama had zero accomplishments to his name. He was a Senator for only three years before he became President. Half of the time as Senator Barack Obama, he was running for elections. Had he been white, Obama would not have been elected.
Over the past decades, liberal professors had drummed into their students that America is racist. Black people were brought over to work as slaves in the plantations. After being freed, they continued to face racial discrimination.
Race hustlers continued to bang the racist drum long after America ceased to be racist. All the while they were doing nothing to actually help struggling minorities. They were more interested in keeping African Americans angry and white liberals guilty than in solving the problems.
To get rid of their guilt, Americans were conned into voting for this unaccomplished man that they knew little of. Just as better qualified white and Asian students were pushed aside to allow lesser qualified minority students into universities, better candidates for president were set aside to elect a black man, a move Democrats knew would work.
This has resulted in America’s first affirmative action president – a man totally unqualified to hold the office. The result is what you see at home and abroad – a diminished America overseas and a broken American economy at home.

Going back and doing things differently, like bargaining to get that status of force agreement, cannot happen.
Our new forces in Iraq have a new agreement that has nothing on paper, but, apparently that was not good enough a couple of years back.
So be it.
What can be done NOW?
First of all we need a definition of who our enemy is.
Obama doesn’t want “”Islam,” or “Muslim” in that definition.
But ISIS means Islamists are the enemy.
Obama’s denial of this reality must end.
He must be made to see that Islamists are not all Muslims.
That jihad of Islamists is not the same as jihad of trying to cut down on sweets by Muslims this Ramadan.
Only then can we, those who would rather not be under Sharia, unite to fight our common enemy.
I doubt this will happen.
Obama will allow Islamists to flourish for the rest of his term.
Hopefully we will still be able to ”fight them over there,” by the time we get leadership willing to fight them at all.
But with our open borders I seriously doubt they will wait two + years to come here for jihad.
I hope Obama won’t take an actuarial view of American deaths from terror attacks on our own soil.
(Yeah, sure, you had a better chance of dying from being hit by a bus, but that you can control to some extent!)
Is there any doubt that he’s continuing the work that his father started? . . . The father he never knew, but dreamed of? The father who wanted America to pay for its “colonialist” past and present? Does it matter that America never “colonized”? Not to him. He’s implementing the strategies laid out in the play books written by scum like Bill Ayers — professed America-haters.
A majority of America still cannot bring itself to believe that it elected someone so determined to change it. The rest believes as he does, . . . the end justifies the means. He could care less about the unemployed. He and Jarrett have threatened corporate America, and the bankers are happy to have no one in their way. The have devoted fanatics like Lehrner who will abuse their bureaucratic power to destroy opposition. What could go wrong?
ISIS made a promise today and I hope Obama dithers until they keep it.

ISIS considers the Saudi form of Islam to be ”apostacy.”

So, it appears ISIS (unlike the Saudis) is just like al Qaeda and the Taliban in that they don’t want any idolatry, from Muslims or non-Muslims.

When Obama drew his red line for Assad, he did so for the express purposes of egging him on and getting al Qaeda to focus on ousting a Shiite run country. Obama has skillfully pitted the two branches of Islam against each other in a massive blood letting in Syria. Iran not wanting Assad to fall, has devoted human and material resources to Syria to prop him up. Hezbollah, an Iranian terrorist front group is completely tied up in supporting Syria. When the “civil war” in Syria started to go badly, Obama began opening up a second front against Iran, via his seeming incompetence he chose to do nothing about ISIS (a Sunni extremist group) in Iraq (a Shiite dominated government). By doing nothing in Iraq Obama allowed ISIS to take territory in Iraq. Obama knew since January that ISIS was taking ground. Obama called ISIS, al Qaeda’s JV team in January.
Now all of a sudden its a crisis. No not really, the MSM didn’t report on Iraq, they smothered the story, everything is preceding according to plan, the second front against Iran is in full swing requiring them to commit more troops and material now to Iraq in addition to Syria. Obama will send as few US troops as possible to allow Iraq to fall to ISIS thus drawing in Iran but just enough to claim, he tried. Iraq now is getting Russian jets, think about that development.
If you think the Bergdahl release was of incompetence, consider this: The Taliban are also in Syria battling Assad. Why? They are Sunni. Connect the dots. Obama doesn’t have any problem with getting tens of thousands of people killed, look at Libya, Egypt, Syria and now Iraq. Obama started a needless war in Libya removing Qadafi when he was behaving himself. Obama’s State Department under Hillary Clinton met with the Muslim Brotherhood in 2009 to plot the over throw, I mean transition of Egypt’s Mubarak out of power.
Why is Obama doing this? Connect the dots…John Kerry and Obama were babbling about Climate Change. In order for Obama’s cronies (Democrat campaign contributors) to profit from alternative energy sources, those sources must become cost effective but it is not possible with $100/barrel oil. With the entire M.E. in confusion and civil war the price of oil must go up. The entirety of Obama’s M.E. policy since he took office was and is to sew strife by over turning established governments. Obama doesn’t care how many people are killed in the process since by Climate Change dogma, the planet is currently over populated. They want less than 1 billion people world wide. Do you really think he is incompetent now?

The Iraqi people need to tend to the problems of Iraq. The current situation exists because they have failed to do so. We can’t change them. They have to change themselves. If we were to go back in, and were to succeed in restoring order, we would once again be in the same position we were in after the first two invasions.
I’ve grown weary of pointing out what a load of horse manure this sort of statement is. Republicans should be kept away from decision-making elected positions until they demonstrate that they’re capable of learning from past errors. At this point, they won’t even acknowledge past errors, let alone learn something from them. Elect these people at your peril, and at the peril of any young Americans old enough for military service.

Overall impressions about Iraq. Bush was a little too aggressive and idealistic, Obama has been weak on every foreign policy decision to date. I still blame both parties for having the same foreign policy decisions to go to war, drone, and spy on whatever country we feel like. Congress is 9% approval but we still elect the same people because ‘our’ guy is OK it’s everyone else that needs to change is the mentality. Left or Right we are being sent to the slaughter house.
