You’d think the world was ending. The Daily News has Christie’s career ended:
Utterly desperate liberals are scraping the asphalt for some meager shred of dung they can cast at Christie to assuage their egos in the midst of the Obamacare and Gates disasters.

After the Obamacare lies, after Fast and Furious, after Benghazi, after killing three Americans without due process, after it all (and none of it bothers liberals) we’re supposed to be exercised about traffic cones? Obama sends 1500 US soldiers to die for something he didn’t believe in, Hillary plays politics with national security and all they’ve got are traffic cones.
Well, Christie should take this as seriously as Obama takes capturing those responsible for the deaths of the four Americans in Benghazi or the death of Brian Terry or Jaime Zapata or the deaths of 1500 US soldiers in Afghanistan.
That is say, not at all. That is not to say that he should not respond. So I have some suggestions for Christie for his presser:
“If you like your cones, you can keep your cones. No one will take them away from you no matter what. Period.”
“I just found out about this by reading the papers.”
“We will get to the bottom of this”
“I will have those lanes opened within the first year of my Presidency.”
“We’re going to open those traffic lanes. We’re going to lead by example—not just by word but by deed. That’s our vision for the future.”
“What difference at this point does it make?”
And most believable of all:
“The traffic jams were caused by a video.”
And he should take a hint from Obama and leave ’em with something like this:
That ought to do it. After all, it works for Obama.

Shutting down traffic lanes on a bridge versus:
– Illegally running guns to Mexican drug cartels, resulting in the deaths of untold Mexican citizens and at least one US law enforcement agent. Not to mention the AG lying under oath to Congress about his knowledge of the program.
– 4 dead Americans, including an ambassador, because of repeated refusals by the SecState’s office for increased security in a known terrorist harboring country that had seen multiple terrorist attacks against other western government facilities in the weeks and months leading up to the attack on the Amabassador. Not to mention multiple US government officials LYING for over a week about the terrorist attack supposedly being a “spontaneous protest about a (not viewed in the country) video” when the US knew within an hour it was a terrorist attack.
– The IRS conducting harassment against conservative Tea Party groups prior to the 2012 re-election, while Lois Lehrner “retired” rather than being held accountable for her egregious activities.
– Billions of dollars of taxpayer money given to companies like Solyndra – run by big Obama donors – that have all gone bankrupt.
– Prohibiting GM from filing bankruptcy until an Obama appointee was made CEO of GM, and then only allowing the financial restructuring to occur by giving the UAW 51% ownership of the company while shafting shareholders. Then trying to prop up flailing GM sales figures by having the federal government by a new fleet of GM cars.
– Millions of Americans having insurance plans cancelled because of obamacare requirements that people have more expensive/higher deductible plans mandating coverage for things not needed nor wanted…not to mention the lie Obama told that obamacare would not be a new tax but rather a fee, then arguing in court that obamacare was a tax so therefore constitutional.
Finally – compare the frenzy of the leftist media going after Christie for allegedly closing down traffic lanes on a bridge against a political opponent versus the rather muted media coverage of the hearings/trial of former governor Corzine’s shady financial handling of an investment company.
The left cares NOTHING for truth or honesty. The left cares only about how to propagandize things to continually increase the political control of the left over every aspect of people’s lives.
The aide should be more than fired. Criminal charges are in order with hopefully, some plea bargaining in order to conduct a full investigation.
There’s still a huge difference in jeopardizing the safety and welfare of a city for political retaliation than there is in what you construe as missteps or misinterpretations on the law and/or military operations, regardless of how much you despise the black man in the White House.
Just like always was happening in Los Angeles, the majority of the lanes of traffic were closed….not ALL lanes.
Two of the three lanes were closed in NJ.
On the bridge between Long Beach and San Pedro, over the Port of Long beach/Los Angeles, one of the TWO lanes were closed virtually every week for a day or more!
If you HAD to get across to save your life it was going to take an extra ten minutes during slow hours, a good 30 minutes during rush hours.

NEW YORK (WABC) — All lanes on the George Washington Bridge have reopened after emergency maintenance on a shifting construction plate closed the upper level outbound lanes on Wednesday evening.
The closures were a result of shifting plates that required emergency maintenance.
To prevent further incidents the Port Authority has announced GWB lane closures will continue for the next two nights and next week.

Email tells feds to make sequester as painful as promised…..
The White House announced Tuesday that it is canceling tours of the president’s home for the foreseeable future as the sequester spending cuts begin to bite and the administration makes good on its warnings of painful decisions.
Announcement of the decision — made in an email from the White House Visitors Office — came hours after The Washington Times reported on another administration email that seemed to show at least one agency has been instructed to make sure the cuts are as painful as President Obama promised they would be.
In the internal email, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service official Charles Brown said he asked if he could try to spread out the sequester cuts in his region to minimize the impact, and he said he was told not to do anything that would lessen the dire impacts Congress had been warned of.
“We have gone on record with a notification to Congress and whoever else that ‘APHIS would eliminate assistance to producers in 24 states in managing wildlife damage to the aquaculture industry, unless they provide funding to cover the costs.’ So it is our opinion that however you manage that reduction, you need to make sure you are not contradicting what we said the impact would be,” Mr. Brown, in the internal email, said his superiors told him.
This is so much worse than what happened to Christie.
It was directed down from ”the top.”

Christie has fired a top-level aide; however, this aide gave an illegal political direction to another aide, there was no doubt whether the direction was illegal. The down line needs to be fired and prosecuted. We can be apologists for Christie and his staff, in the same manner, Obama uses his sycophants to cover for him.
There were millions of dollars of lost revenue because of this dirty trick, an illegal dirty trick; the people who were harmed should bring a class action suit against the perpetrators and see how many more time this same type of bullshit is repeated in the future. @Redteam: In all fairness, those two axe handle broads, (wider than an ax handle) need the width of a freeway in Hawaii just to get to the mall. It is planned, and not used as a cheap dirty political trick. There is a difference between the ultimate elite boors and cheap slimy Chicago/Obama politics. Then again, those ax handle broad are not royalty and they should get the flock out of Dodge, but overstaying their welcome ight bring Hawaii to its senses about supporting an imperial presidency.
All seriousness aside, if we act like flocking Marxists protecting Obama, how are we going to ever expect them to listen to our cries of corruption. We accuse them of having two standards, while e openly demand a different standard for one of ours. Prison terms will straighten out the corruption, if you or I tried to restrict traffic for whatever reason, we would be facing serious hard time. Flock them, send the guilty parties to prison.

Is Christie a shill for Obama? Is he trying to survive this scandal by saying that he didn’t know about the facts? Then could Obama follow suit and claim that he didn’t know with regard to Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS, NSA, spying on Tea Party members and thwarting their efforts (ala Nixon style) etc.
I say kick them out. Christie probably got a call from Obama saying, “Hey, can you see if you can pull the wool over the eyes of the people and say you didn’t know what was going on.” Or, is Christie just as bad (and stinks the same) as Obama and that’s why they hung around together tightly during the hurricane disaster.
Remember that Christie is not a conservative. No way. Remember also that Hillary Clinton is just as dirty by just literally hiding from the issues regarding Benghazi while she was secretary of state. She’s just as bad as Obama with the lies, denials and more damned lies.
Let’s get a government in that cares about the citizens of the U.S. and forget the socialism, cheating and lying.
