House GOP Caves….Told Obama They Will End Shutdown If He Will ‘Negotiate’ On Budget, ObamaCare Off The Table

Time to primary every single one of these asshats:

House Republicans told Obama at the White House that they could reopen the federal government by early next week if the president and Senate Democrats agree to their debt-ceiling proposal. After the debt ceiling is lifted, a House GOP aide said they would seek some additional concessions in a government funding bill.

Obama repeatedly pressed House Republicans to open the government, asking them “what’s it going to take to” end the shutdown, those sources said. He questioned why the government should remain closed if both sides agreed to engage in good-faith negotiations on the budget, according to a Democratic source briefed on the meeting…

Obama agreed to review the House Republican proposal for reopening the government, but reiterated that he wouldn’t pay a ransom, the Democratic source said.

Obamacare?

Nothing…nada…zip.

The whole reason tea-party groups like Heritage Action were okay with a short-term debt-ceiling hike is because, in theory, it cleared the way to re-focus on stopping ObamaCare by digging in on the shutdown. Instead, evidently, Republicans are ready to end the shutdown for a month or more in order to initiate broader negotiations with the White House. Which means that, contra tea partiers’ wishes, discussions over the shutdown and the debt ceiling will end up being “merged” after all. Which in turn means defunding/delaying ObamaCare, if it’s not off the table already, is likely headed for the shelf as the parties focus on deficit reduction instead.

The RINO’s have caved and now what do we get in return?

In exchange, they sought a commitment by the president to negotiate a deal for long-term deficit reduction and a tax overhaul.

A commitment to negotiate.

Just when you thought the RINO’s couldn’t get more spineless they surprise you.

And now we got Boehner to negotiate a budget deal once more. It worked out quite well a few years ago:

• 1/7/2011: Boehner Doubles Down On Promise To Cut $100 Billion: “Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH) yesterday doubled down on $100 billion in cuts. ‘No ifs, ands or buts about it,’ he said.”

• 2/20/2011: House Approves $61 Billion Spending Cuts, Raising Risk of Federal Shutdown: “Senate Democrats already have said they won’t accept the cuts in the $1.2 trillion spending bill, and Obama’s budget office has threatened a presidential veto. ”

• 3/2/2011: Boehner: Compromise Will Trim GOP’s $61 Billion Budget Cuts: “Responding to a question Tuesday about whether he foresees the House ultimately budging from the $61 billion figure, the Ohio Republican did not say that the chamber would hold firm when the Senate returns their proposal, which will likely include less than a $61 billion reduction in spending levels.”

• 3/10/2011: Tea Party pressures Boehner in budget battle: “Complaints by Tea Party Republicans have already forced Boehner to almost double the amount of spending cuts proposed this year from $32 billion.”

• 4/4/2011: Boehner says $33 billion in cuts is not enough: “I’ve made clear that their $33 billion is not enough and many of the cuts that the White House and Senate Democrats are talking about are full of smoke and mirrors. That’s unacceptable,” the Speaker said.

• 4/7/2011: Interviewed on ABC News, Speaker Boehner vows not to shut down the government over a 2011 “continuing resolution” budget impasse: “I’ve said that 1,000 times since the first of the year. I do not want to shut the government down. I think that is irresponsible.” [Ed: As an aside, the government has been shut down numerous times in recent years including a 21-day impasse during the Clinton administration.]

• 4/12/2011: Boehner touts fact that ”Budget Agreement Eliminates Funding for Obama Czars’ as a reason to support the continuing resolution budget deal.

• 4/14/2011: Boehner: I’m standing by the $38 billion number: Boehner stands by the $38 billion in cuts, saying that this was really “$78.5 billion less than what the president wanted to spend… [and that he was] very disappointed in [Obama’s] speech yesterday,”

• 4/15/2011: CBO Says Spending Cuts Aren’t As Advertised: “The Congressional Budget Office reports that the $38 billion in cuts to the budget for the current fiscal year will actually reduce this year’s deficit by only about $352 million.”

• 4/16/2011: Boehner’s office is not surprised Obama found a way to circumvent Congress, according to a staffer. A spokesman for Boehner said that the Speaker was not surprised that Obama has chosen to ignore the budget rider eliminating funding for the “Czars”.

Boehner gets schooled every time.

So I guess its back to just letting the people choke on Obamacare.

Way to go Republicans!

ObamaCare’s own weight is killing it so fast even Obama’s most toadying supporters are asking:

1. What happens if not enough people enroll?
2. How will people respond to paying higher premiums?
3. What happens if the newly insured don’t understand what they’re buying?
4. What about the states that didn’t expand Medicaid?
5. Will health care coverage be sufficient for everyone?
6. What happens if Obamacare succeeds in some states but fails in others?
7. How will companies handle the employer mandate when it takes effect?
8. Are there substantial technical flaws?
9. How secure are the exchanges?

Great questions, all but #4 could have been looked into YEARS ago, and were, by those opposed to ObamaCare.
#4 only became an issue after the Supreme Court allowed states to opt out of the exchanges.

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius went to Pittsburg to assure people and her visit only made all the ”glitches” (read FEATURES) of ObamaCare more noticeable. She admitted that 13 million people had tried to access through the site.
But, so far, only 50,000 had manages to fill out applications!
None in Hawaaii.
None in a couple other states as well.
She brought in big guns IT specialists to help people sign up:

About 20 people armed with laptops and certified by the government to sign up people for coverage were meeting with uninsured people, answering questions and fruitlessly trying to access the website.
Sebelius told reporters that she didn’t know what problems were affecting service at Heinz Field. The government has made hardware and software upgrades to improve the site, she said, and it is working for many people.

Yeah, she actually blamed her location!

A few days ago Sen. Reid said the Medical Equipment Tax would only be removed IF Republicans came up with alternative streams of tax income to ObamaCare themselves.
That was a sticking point as Republicans will not raise taxes to pay for even portions of ObamaCare.
I wonder if Obama took that off the table or if it is still an issue.

So, I’m not worried about the fact that ObamaCare is doomed.
I only hope Republicans, whose fingerprints are not on ObamaCare up until now, can manage not to get involved in the Dems efforts of trying to hold up a falling tree.

Key point is that Obamacare will fail on it’s own. Republicans point has been and will be made!! It is good to remember that the 2010 election cycle demonstrated that Obamacare is a viable winner for Republicans. Remember the HOUSE was taken back from the Democrats in historic fashion!!

I concur with the author. Primary every single RINO. Get rid of them. If they want to be spineless, unprincipled doormats then let them officially join the democrat party, rather than pretending to be conservatives.

How cowardly these RINOs are – to have capitulated yet again for what will turn out to be NOTHING.

@Pete:
Well, in the spirit of looking for the good in any catastrophe, maybe it means a bunch of Rino’s will be removed from office next election. Funny thing is, if all this had never come up, i.e., the Republicans requesting a 1 yr delay, by now Obama would have done it on his own because of the big SNAFU. And it is still likely, Obama is now going to get all the credit/blame for how bad the system is and he is still likely to fix it so anyone can opt to delay signing up for a year.

@Pete: Second that Pete!

Ain’t gonna happen. There are too many people who will scream, “Throw the bums out! Except for ours, he’s okay!”
How do you think that so many of the “bums” get reelected every two or six years?
John McCain. Ol’ “Reach across the aisle” himself.
I’ve sent snailmail to all of my congressmen.
“I don’t care if you are a “true conservative”. The fact that you haven’t been able to convince other Republicans to toe the conservative line means that you’re an ineffective conservative at best. My vote will go to your primary opponent this year, and a third party in the general election.”
I realize that a third-party vote is anathema to some, throwing a vote away, but a choice between a Democrat and an incumbent Republican is a vote for a liberal of some stripe, anyway.
Or a conservative candidate who isn’t a very good one, so why not?

The GOP is looking for a way to slither away without being totally humiliated. Fools.

And yet the Republicans are ten times better thanb Reid, 0-blama and the Democrats. A vote for any other than Republican will insure the contiuation of the Democrats failure to lead!! Let’s NOT forget Obamacare is a disaster of massive proportion!!

@Common Sense: #8
That is the thinking that got us to this point. Republicans have believed that as long as they are just a little less bad than the Democrats, they will collect every vote to the right of liberals. Enough.

Pete #3 and Scott #5. I concur. I am discussed with the spineless GOP.

For starters, yes indeed primary every single Republican. As a Democrat, I’m all for bringing in the O’Donnells and the Angles and the Mourdocks and the Akins and the craziest in the belfry to unseat prominent deep seated GOP incumbents and then go down in flames at the polls. Did you ever think that maybe this batshit crazy radicalism simply doesn’t sit well with most people of reasonable intellect? So what’s the GOP popularity now, less than 30%? And we all know that there will always be somewhere to the tune of 30% birthers, flat earthers, and those that think the sun revolves around the earth and yes, some of these nut jobs slipped in with some corporate backing and exploiting the hatred of a black president but these loons are soon crushed from the weight of their own stupidity. Look at West, Walsh, Bachman just eking by, and the shellacking the baggers took. And aren’t their numbers at a historical low? And dropping as we speak?

The GOP was warned that they would own this shutdown. They were warned that it would go over like a turd in a punch bowl. Now that it has become a reality, what precisely do you expect them to do? To continue this kamikaze mission is just nuts. It would really be like that black knight in the Monty Python film yelling “come back cowards, it’s only a flesh wound”.

And the more ObamaCare rolls out, the more people like it and the more they realize the fraudulent snake oil of the GOP on it.

@Common Sense:

Yeah, what a ‘disaster’. Ended torture, ended wars, got Osama and Khadaffi, got Syria to admit to having chemical weapons, talking with Syria, Affordable Care Act, created more jobs in his first 2 years than Bush did in 8, reduced the deficit, shown economic growth every month since the stimulus, saved the auto industry….

Tell me ONE THING…ONE THING the GOP has done for you in the past 10 years.

I gave the Republicans 7 days before they caved and they lasted a few days longer than that….There is a huge difference between Conservatives and Republicans….Republicans are mere the cranky branch of the Democrat party….The problem I see is there are too few true conservatives to actually save this nation…

This country will not be saved at the ballot box…It may not happen in my time but I sincerely believe it is coming…

@Ronald J. Ward:

The GOP was warned that they would own this shutdown. They were warned that it would go over like a turd in a punch bowl.

They just wanted to add some flavor to the koolaid the Dims drink.

@This one: You drank too much of that turd flavored koolaid.

@Redteam: I pondered your comments for a few moments looking for an iota of constructive dialog, a relevant rebuttal, or even some faint or vague iota of substance. Obviously and understandably, I came up short in my search.

My thoughts. I am pissed the Republicans caved. no guts, no glory, no balls. However on the other hand they have told the American people the obamahealth care law is detrimental. In a short time the people will find out the Republicans were right – and just in time for the 2014 elections. Perhaps a bit more optimistic than I should be, but I have faith the American people are not as stupid as barry believes. This is the reason he gets more irritable every day because he knows the bloom is off the rose.

As an aside, there are people posting via media (of course the obama boot licking media doesn’t post it) their issues with this new tax (and that is exactly what this health care is) One man, his premium went up $10K a year. Two other people had deductibles of $13,900 and $12,000. Yeah right after paying a 7K+ premium they have to pay out of pocket until they reach those numbers before the health care pays. Unless something catastrophic happens, you will pay 100% of your health care. I read something today that rings true. the government promised to provide health care, they didn’t promise to pay anything.

@Ronald J. Ward:

I pondered your comments for a few moments looking for an iota of constructive dialog, a relevant rebuttal, or even some faint or vague iota of substance

I wouldn’t expect you to, you were educated by the libs and didn’t learn a damn thing. So, I’ll lay it out. You are a Kool aid drinker, you were looking for more flavor, you added a Dimocrat turd and thought it improved the taste. Seems logical to me that a lib would go that direction.

@This one:

Only the RINOs. They sold us all out. They are fools who cannot figure out that being ‘dem-lite’ results in losing elections. Only when conservatives hat stand up for American principles run for office will republicans win.

Anyone who supports Marxism is a fool.

@Pete: I agree Pete, one of those was Charlie Chaplin

@Ronald J. Ward:

Your use of a disgusting homosexual term to refer to the Tea Party shows your character.

How stupid does one have to be to think that a program based completely on lies, that costs far more than the current system, and that the authors of the plan are exempting themselves from having to pay for their participation while insisting that average citizens have to eat the additional costs, and has a rollout of disastrous proportions is ever going to be popular?

If the Tea Party is so chock full of crazies, why did Obama have to use the IRS to harass them prior to the 2012 elections? Do you condone such behavior?

And I’ll take West over the crazy scumbag Grayson any day. And you want crazy? How about Sheila Jackson Lee, Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Jesse Jackson, Jr. (Now in prison) and the impeached, convicted perjurer Clinton?

Regardless of whatever barbs get exchanged here, we will see what direction the country is heading with the 2014 election. I do find it interesting that the Holder DOJ is suing Texas and NC over voter ID laws – bogusly claiming that minorities cannot go down to the DMV like nonminorities can to get photo ID and are thus being discriminated against…yet obamacare requires people to present photo ID to get healthcare. Isn’t that discriminatory? If not, how do you explain yet another flagrant example of leftist hypocrisy?

@This one:

You are beyond deranged if you truly believe anything you wrote. It is frightening to realize someone so out of touch and reality challenged is allowed to vote or drive a car.

Wow, I guess he didn’t get my FB message?

We the Conservative side of the country do not send you and our money to Washington to defer, demure and capitulate to those that we have core moral differences with. These challenges of late are not about spending one million or two million on some pork project, they are about the foundational ideals that this country was founded upon – if you cannot give us your full metal in this time of need, then it is time for you to consider resigning. I personally, and all those that are my friends, are tired of sending money to DC to support Dealmakers and Capitulators, sir, it is NOW time to Man up and fight for a cause not a pension. Put on a Red or Blue uniform and take a stand, take a stand or move aside so that a braver man may take up the fight. There is no shame in losing, only in surrender, and for conservatives we have been seeing too much surrender lately.

I sir, do truly pray, that you will stand tall, pick up the flag of the USA, gather all your men behind you carry this fight to those that wish to destroy this country. This is as great or greater a battle today as it was for our Independence, please do not let the Republic fall into a democracy ruled by fiat and executive orders. Help us restore the Constitution.
Robert Granger

@Redteam: I guess you can’t name me one thing the GOP has done for you in the past decade either, loser.

@enchanted: Yeah, saving lives and preventing insurance companies from dropping or deny coverage is reeeeeeaaaal ‘detrimental’. Stupid.

@Pete: And another wingnut can’t tell me ONE THING the GOP has done for them in the PAST 10 YEARS!

@Pete: Yeah, it’s ‘discriminatory’ to stop people who are trying to stop a group of people from voting. What are you, stupid?

@Rob in Katy: Well said sir, very well said.

they have to change the pattern, even if they get the rapt from the media,
what the hell they would get it anyway,
lets see what is happening from it,
they should arrest those who refuse to negociate sitting at the top,
you would see all being fix rapidly after those two are away,
cut the csards by 2/3rd cut the agencies by half, cut the public employees by 2/3rd
close the borders thight, send back one million illegals,
cut OBAMA’S FUNDS NO MORE FOREIGN SPENDING,
DOUBLE THE MILITARY SPENDING POWER,
PUT THE MILITARY AT THE BORDER FOR AN UNDERDETERMINE TIME NOT REVEALED,
AND DON’T PAY ATTENTION TO MEDIAS UNLESS YOU CHARGE THEM WITH INTERFERING WITH THE GOVERNMENT RULES, AND CLOSE THEM WHO RESIST,

Pete @ # 21, my argument is not about the pros and cons of ObamaCare, the Clinton and Lewinsky shenanigans, IDs, Holder suing TX and NC, that Jessie Jackson Jr is jailed, that calling a teabagger a teabagger insults you, or any of the other non sequitur directions your response wondered into.

Try to stay with me and focus on the actual discussion. Curt says, “Time to primary every single one of these asshats”. I’m all for that as history and reality tells us that such tactics gain Democratic seats. For example, Mourdock took out Lugar in the primary and then crashed and burned in the general election, handing a solid, deep rooted Republican Senate seat over to Democrat Joe Donnelly. And Mourdock isn’t an isolated case.

Crazy nut jobs who do and say crazy things just don’t hold up well in the long haul. You say you’d take Allen West any day. I’m sure you would because he energizes the crazies with crazy things. This guy insisted that half of the House Democrats were “card carry communist” and then doubled down on that, even defying The Communist Party’s insistence that they had no “card carrying” members in Congress. This is just nuts. How about Sarah Palin’s “death panels” or rounding up grandmas and Down Syndrome babies to bring in front of some committee to determine their fate? Nuts! Wrong! And do you really want me to get started with Michele Bachman? Joe Walsh? But more importantly and back to my argument, how did these screw-loose basket cases and their cloned cohorts fair in Nov 2012? How is the tea party’s standings today?

You see, these CooCoo-For-Coco-Puffs rode in on the 2010 tide brought to us by this Tea Party. As I’ve previously argued, the tea party grew strength as it was heavily financed by corporate billionaires, orchestrated and ran by prominent right wing extremist, and highly promoted by constant free and friendly air time from Fox News. Through false implications and perhaps playing on the ignorance of their followers, they focused on utilizing the hatred of a black president to advance their Plutocratic and Social Darwinism objective. So if my terminology of them offends you, perhaps you can simply utilize your freedom of choice and not read it.

But my above rant isn’t meant to be strictly a rant but rather to point out that Curt’s argument to primary every “RINO” is flawed. Not only has the tea party has lost their teeth and their popularity plummeted (Obama was reelected and ObamaCare became law so obviously all those big dollars are invested elsewhere), but the electorate has caught on to the fact they they’re batshit crazy.

The GOP cannot defund ObamaCare because of the “Mandatory Funding” clause of the law. The only way to defund it is to repeal it which they can’t do. Their hostage taking tactics have proven to be a failure. Dems and Obama have apparently finally grew a spine and it seems to be going well with the electorate. The more ObamaCare rolls out, the more people like it and the more exposed the GOP are of being blatantly dishonest.

Simply put, the GOP is out of ammo. They can either lose this battle and perhaps fight another day or like the foolish black knight, they can yell “it’s only a flesh wound”.

Since the GOP always caves, the Dems know they can always wait them out.

@This one: Wow, some Dim we have here, he signed his comment #24 as

loser.

The he signed comment #25 as

Stupid.

Don’t know too many that acknowledge themself in that way. Got anymore original signatures?

@This one: So, the black panthers that were at the polls to intimidate voters should have been allowed to do what they were doing? Hmmm…..

BECAUSE the GOPS ARE SMARTER, THEY WILL CAVE TO END A SHUTDOWN DONE BY OBAMA ALONE,
JUST TO BE SPITEFULL AS WE KNOW HE IS,
HELL HE STARTED IT AND CAN STOP IT BUT HE PRETEND THAT THE REPUBLICANS DID IT,
WE CAN SEE HIM DOING IT BEFORE HE DOES ANY MOVE AND THE GOPS SEE IT EVEN BETTER,
BECAUSE THEY ARE RIGHT THERE,
IF YOU WANT TO BLAME, AT LEAST LOOK WHO IS THETROUBLE MAKER IN THERE,
HIS WHOLE PRESIDENCY WAS DONE BY REVENGE AND TRICKS TO PUNISH THE AMERICANS, HELL HE APOLOGIZE ABROAD ON THE NAMES OF AMERICANS AT HIS FIRST FOREIGN SPEECH,
HE HATE YOUR GUTTS, HE CUT MILITARY OF WHAT THEY ARE ENTITEL TO HAVE, EVEN A CHAPLAIN IS RESTRICTED, EVEN THE WOUNDED VETERANS HAVE TO WAIT
FOR WHAT BELONG TO THEM, 5 YEARS BACKLOG IS UNACCEPTABLE, THEY NEED THAT MONEY TO LIVE EVERYDAY, SOMEONE IS SCREWING THEM AND SHOULD BE ARRESTED,

Ronald j. Ward
yes i knew it would attrack the rats,
i could swear that you would take the bait and come here to bash the CONSERVATIVES,
BOY YOU GAVE ALL YOUR HEART ON THIS COMMENT FULL OF DIRT,
YOU DON’T SURPRISE ANYONE HERE,THEY HAD YOU FIGURED OUT ON YOUR PREVIOUS COMMENTS, YOUR NOT GETTING AWAY WITH IT,
AND YOU ASK FOR IT ALL WHAT IS COMING TO YOU,YOURE AMONG THE DEMOCRATS
WHO INSULTS THE GOPS WITH ARSENIST, TERRORIST LUNATIC ECETERA,

GET USE TO IT, THE DIRT IS FLYING AND BEING DISCOVER NOW, GET YOUR BROOM READY,

@Ronald J. Ward:

even defying The Communist Party’s insistence that they had no “card carrying” members in Congress.

And I think everyone would believe anything the Communist Party told them. I understand that even when there really were card carrying communists in the Dimocrat party back in the 30’s and 40’s that the Party denied it even then.

For the record, I don’t believe there are any card carrying communists members of congress. Bunch of socialists there though.

@ilovebeeswarzone: I generally don’t respond to you because I have a rule of avoiding a commenter that seldom makes much sense and seldom addresses any of the actual argument. I’m not sure why I’m making an exception by responding now as your reply was no exception to my rule.

@Redteam: So, are you suggesting that West was correct that about 80 Democratic Congressmen are in fact “card carrying Communists”?

Update- I didn’t see your last sentence in your response. Possibly the page didn’t fully load or such? Don’t know.

Regardless, doesn’t this make West somewhat of a, well, nut?

You can forget about removing any of the RINOs in primaries. Our voting system is completely under the control of the Liberals and the Unions. Canada has Voter ID. We do not. Even Iraq had the purple thumb form of voter ID. But Holder has deemed any sort of ID to be racist.
Until we get rid of gerrymandering and require some sane relation between the length of the border of a district and its area, we will have safe seats and persons who have life tenure.
Until we get a sane system of mandating that a person actually exist to vote, and that living persons only vote once in an election, will there be a return to honesty in elections.
These changes will not take place, because too many parties have a vested interest in keeping things the way that they are. After all, all 19,000,000 imaginary Facebook followers of Ø put him over the top in 2012.

Ronald J. Ward
remind me to simplify my comments for you to understand better,
I realy was not asking you to answer, it’s not important for me.,
so don’t feel oblige to answer me,

@mathman: It was through gerrymandering that the GOP was able to retain the House. Republicans Representatives lost 1.4 million votes in Nov.
Even the Republican State Leadership Committee concedes how it “paved the way to Republicans retaining a U.S. House majority in 2012.”

mathman
wow, and all OBAMA needed was one million more voters, he had the UNIONS worked hard
on it as they reveal, beside the deads rising to the event,
talking about corrupt, it has to be clean up,
AMERICA has not start to end like that, the other are decent people need to take the POWER,
TO RESTORE DECENCY AGAIN IN THE WHITE HOUSE,
OH YES i forgot the voting elctronict switching the ROMNEY VOTES FOR OBAMA’S VOTES,
TALKING ABOUT DIRTBAGGERS

@Ronald J. Ward:

Regardless, doesn’t this make West somewhat of a, well, nut?

When did ‘nut’ become a disqualification? You seen Hillary, Bill, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John McCain, Weiner, and on and on and on?

@This one:

Yes, obamacare is stupid, and evil. It is making insurance plans that people were happy with – that they could afford – illegal because they don’t force everyone to pay for the same coverage – much of which specific individuals do not need. You still have no answer as to why any man or post-menopausal woman needs maternity coverage in their plan, nor why everyone has to cover chiropractic and drug addiction services. You have no answer for any of the documented massive increases in health care premiums due specifically to obamacare – which people cannot afford to pay, other than to spew your tiresome ignorance falsely claiming conservatives don’t want people to have health care.

You are beyond ignorant. You deserve the leftist hell you are too stupid to see coming for you. You are nothing but a selfish, lazy worm who demands that everyone else pay your way in life because you are jealous of those who have worked harder than you and earned more for themselves.

Grow up, TO. None of us are your mother or father, and it is not our responsibility to wipe your backside for you, nor clean up after you, nor pay your bills.

@This one:

You are clearly too stupid or too evil to see the total hypocrisy of your own infernal deity opposing photo ID to vote but demanding photo ID to access health care. Keep writing – it reveals your cognitive incompetence and your complete lack of honor. You truly are a useful idiot for the left.

Pete
hi,
the indoctrination is working beyong OBAMA WILDEST DREAMS,
WE CAN SEE IT HERE

@Redteam:

Earth to Redteam, come in Redteam! What planet are you on and what language frequency are you tuned into? Stay with me man and focus on the discussion.

Did Hillary, Bill, Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John McCain, Weiner, and on and on and on claim that half of the opposing party were bonafide card carrying communist?

@Ronald J. Ward:

Keep showing your lack of character. It highlights how despicable the left is, and reminds us that your words have no merit nor validity.

You keep popping up with the propaganda that the left – imitating Goebbels’ “Big Lie” in hopes that people will believe it – uses to portray conservatives as nincompoops. The Tea party is still actively supported by 1 in 5 Americans, and their actual “popularity” as determined by polls skewed in favor of leftists shows no such plummeting in popularity. What the frenzied stories show is the concerted effort by the left to demonize conservatives in preparation for the next election.

http://legalinsurrection.com/2013/09/congrats-gallup-for-inspiring-these-5-misleading-anti-tea-party-headlines/

If you are so happy with the idea of gaining democrat seats, Mr. non-sequitor, then why – if having more Tea Party candidates will so certainly lead to more democrat seats – would you try to warn off Tea Party conervatives from running?

The use of the term “card carrying communist” is a euphemism for whacked out progressives like Schalowsky and the rest of the 40 plus members of the Congressional Progressive caucus – all democrats, BTW. Their stated goals are, in fact, right in line with communism. So no I do not consider the honorable retired army lieutenant colonel to be crazy just because you don’t like his derisive characterization of leftist lunatics. I suppose you would be more appreciative if West had used homosexual-associated terms of derision for his political opponents as that appears to be more in line with your lack of character.

You can call my posting non-sequitor all you wish – it is nothing more than typical leftist deflection from concepts you cannot refute. Jackson Lee and Waters are absolute leftist morons. Remember Lee asking about when our astronauts walked on Mars while she was looking at an Apollo 11 mock up? And the women represents Houston, for crying out loud. Waters has alluded to all kinds of marxist stupidity in her time in government. Jesse Jr got caught misappropriating funds then tried to play the mental illness card before he was sentenced. Shall we talk about Weiner? Then let us not forget the other rep from Harlem, NY with the gravelly voice who got caught and CENSURED (heaven forfend!!) for his tax cheating. The point you either couldn’t comprehend or willfully ignored is that the democrat party seems to be infested with criminals and morons to a far greater extent than the Tea Party which you so vehemently oppose. So try comprehending a point being presented to you without having to have it explained at the level of a 5 year old.

Your history is false. The Tea Party was a grass roots movement, unlike the failed leftist “popular” Astroturf movements. Tell me again, Rich, how many rapes and deaths have happened at Tea Party rallies versus the number occurring at Occupy rallies? Even better, how many Tea Party protesters were caught crapping on police cars versus Occupy protestors? And how many dems were out giving support to the occupy goons? Yeah…Pelosi was one of them…quite a few dems were supporting those anti-American criminals in the occupy movement.

And you want to complain about Fox News giving coverage to conservatives? Like Candy Crowley didn’t tag team with Obama in the debate she “moderated”? Like ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/MSNBC don’t act as the head cheerleader for the left? Like Soros doesn’t dump millions and millions into funding ultra-left groups?

There is so much more of your either poor comprehension of reality – or your deliberate obfuscation of the truth you don’t want to acknowledge – that I would love to eviscerate, but I have another baby coming that will require significant attention.

As far as your advice on the Tea Party – methinks thou doth protest a mite bit much. Besides, if history has taught us anything, it is that a leftist cannot ever be trusted in any way to do anything other than the most selfish, dishonest and dishonorable act available to them.

@Ronald J. Ward: Earth to RJ Ward: The subject was ‘nuts’.. see above…

@Pete to RJ Ward;:

So try comprehending a point being presented to you without having to have it explained at the level of a 5 year old.

That ain’t gonna happen!!
