Obama & Kerry Goof Off As Egypt Burns

I recall defending GWHB when Democrats criticized his vacations. And while I deplored the GWB economy crashing era, I also defended his vacations and recreational times when left blogs would have a hay day with it. Those attacks were simply straw grasping attempts to discredit the POTUS. It’s kinda like saying an overseas trip cost the tax payers a trillion bucks. Or, something.

As I tweeted to Sarah Palin, Kerry was not “sailing on his yacht”, that was merely “kinetic watercraft activity”.

If only they’d gone into their offices, the entire Egyptian situation probably could have been resolved by the end of the weekend.

They just need to go away!

Egypt Crisis Finds Washington Largely Ambivalent and Aloof

That Time headline says it all about this administration. Whether it’s our embassy in Libya being attacked and our ambassador killed, whether it’s the IRS conservative hit list, whether its guns being run to Mexico and border patrol agents being killed….they always stay ambivalent.

Lest we forget that gift that Eric Holder gave us with ”Fast and Furious,” just keeps on giving:

We STILL don’t know what happened that Holder lost track of so many guns.
We only know Obama/Holder/Biden/Pelosi/Reid tried to take advantage of every death from an American gun in Mexico UNTIL the F&F story broke.
So, now they’ve all swerved over to Newtown.
But their bottom line is still the same: grab Law-Abiding people’s guns.

They only LOOK goofy, aloof and ambivalent.
Under their disgusting surface, they are working overtime.

(Reuters) – President Barack Obama condemned the violence in Egypt on Saturday and said that the United States was not working with any particular Egyptian political party or group as the country reels from a military takeover.
Actual fine print in White House statement:
We urge all Egyptian leaders to condemn the use of force and to prevent further violence among their supporters, just as we urge all those demonstrating to do so peacefully. As Egyptians look forward, we call on all sides to bridge Egypt’s divisions, reject reprisals, and join together to restore stability and Egypt’s democracy.
In other words, ignore the headline:
Obama insists the MB be included no matter how egregious their acts against the Egyptian people were.
The White House statement urged all Egyptian leaders to come together in an inclusive process that allows the participation of all groups and political parties.

Mr. Kerry came under even more criticism for sailing off Nantucket on Wednesday as Mr. Morsi was being toppled. At first, the State Department denied that he had been on a boat even though a CBS News producer spotted him. By Friday, the department spokeswoman, Jennifer Psaki, retracted the denial, saying, “He was briefly on his boat on Wednesday.”

Amazing the ease with which this Administration lies, isn’t it?

A puppet can’t do anything until the puppeteer or puppeteers pull the strings. Don’t blame the puppets. Blame the puppeteers. The puppets only does what the puppeteers make them do.

Can someone point out one F’ing positive thing they have done for the world since their formation?

Why is it so important for us to carry water for the Brotherhood?

Three days after the ouster of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, Secretary of State John Kerry finally spoke about the revolution in a late Saturday night statement — in an effort to beat back widespread sentiment that the U.S. backed and continues to support the Muslim Brotherhood.

“The United States is deeply troubled by the violence across Egypt. We strongly condemn any and all incitement to violence or attempts to divide and provoke, rather than unite, all Egyptians. The United States strongly condemns the violence by all parties and urges calm,” Kerry said.

“At the same time, we firmly reject the unfounded and false claims by some in Egypt that the United States supports the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood or any specific Egyptian political party or movement. The United States has always been and remains committed to the democratic process, not to any party or personality. We want Egyptians to make their democracy work for the good of all Egyptians,” he continued.

Tamarod protesters carried signs denouncing both President Obama and U.S. Ambassador Anne Patterson, who met with Muslim Brotherhood leaders before the massive opposition protests a week ago, as supporters of the regime and its nefarious activities.

“At this sensitive moment, we call on all Egyptian leaders to condemn the use of force and prevent further violence among their supporters and we urge all those demonstrating to do so peacefully. The United States wants to see Egypt’s ongoing transition succeed for the benefit of the Egyptian people,” Kerry said.

Islamists, some vowing to launch suicide bombings across the country and set Christians on fire (see video at end of story), protested Friday in support of Morsi, sparking clashes in which three dozen people were killed. Mina Aboud Sharween, a Coptic Christian priest, was shot dead while walking in the northern Sinai on Friday.

The President’s insistence that all Egyptians be represented doesn’t include Christians.

During a recent interview, Dr. Mahmoud Shu‘ban, a professor at Egypt’s prestigious Al Azhar University, made clear that the Copts, Egypt’s Christian minority, will pay the jizya — what is often referred to in the West as an Islamic “poll tax.” According to the Al Azhar professor, “If non-Muslims were to learn the meaning of ‘jizya,’ they would ask for it to be applied — and we will apply it, just like Islam commands us to.” His logic is that, if Christians pay the jizya, they would buy for themselves “protection,” hence why they themselves should want to pay it.

Most Western apologists for Islam also claim that jizya money was historically paid to protect conquered dhimmis, though they often imply protection from outside enemies, non-Muslims. In fact, the jizya was/is protection money from surrounding Muslims themselves — precisely Shu‘ban’s point: pay up and maybe your churches won’t be burned and your girls routinely abducted; because you are not paying, you are not protected from such things and have no right to complain.

I suspect the State Department might have entirely legitimate reasons for not wishing to publicly reveal that the Secretary of State can be found at a particular location on board an unguarded recreational sailing vessel at a particular point in time.

Why would anyone want to harm Secretary Lurch Kerry? Hell, even the North Vietnamese didn’t want him dead. They knew a comrade when they saw one.

If State wanted to downplay Kerry’s apparent lack of interest in his job, Ms. Psaki should have reserved comment until Kerry was safely off his boat. But it seems that maintaining the illusion that there are adults in this Administration trumps honesty.

Most of the world sees Kerry as a comedy act.
