‘What Difference Does It Make?’

Chris Matthews on Hillary Clinton’s “performance” yesterday during the Benghazi hearing:

“Venturing forth in unprotected waters today, she showed how not to be defensive, how not to sweat [and] also how to exhibit humanity and yes, compassion. Even when the witnesses are looking desperately — those people around her — to target her weaknesses. Again, it was a magnificent display of smarts, I think, guts definitely and caring. She looked every bit like a person who could run for president, run well, win big and serve confidently. What a day it’s been for the progressive side of American politics. What a great week it’s been and it’s only Wednesday.

What a day it is when the leader of the State Department tell’s the country that it doesn’t matter if they mislead the American people. What a day it is when a rehearsed performance is just so awesome but the failures of the State Department to protect our Ambassador is ignored.

And you know what….it did make a damn difference. CBS News reporter Sharyl Attkisson:

WaPo’s Erik Wemple:

No matter your view of the media’s role in Benghazi; no matter your take on whether U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice leveled with the country on the Sept. 16 talk shows; no matter your view of Fox News’s Benghazi campaign, it surely does make a difference whether it was “because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans.” It makes a difference to the media, the public, the government, everyone.

Eliana Johnson:

Clinton’s dismissal of the impetus behind the attack also stands in stark contrast to nearly everything senior officials of the Obama administration said publicly about it in the days that followed, including both the president and Clinton herself — that is, when the administration was blaming the attack on a YouTube video. In opening remarks for a strategic dialogue with Morocco — video below — which occurred four days after the Benghazi attack, Clinton said, “There is no justification, none at all, for responding to this video with violence. We condemn the violence that has resulted in the strongest terms.”

The idea that the cause of the attack should now take a backseat to other concerns seems all too convenient.

You know what else matters? The answer to the following question asked by Senator Rand Paul:

Is the United States involved with an procuring of weapons, transfer of weapons, buying, selling, anyhow transferring weapons to Turkey out of Libya?

Her answer? “I don’t know” and “you’ll have to direct that question to the agency that ran the Annex.”

So four months after the attack we are to assume that no one in the State Department bothered to find out if the Annex was running weapons?

Come on….

There is a way to find out tho.

Bring in the man who did lead the Department who ran the Annex, David Petraeus, and ask him under oath if the Annex ran weapons and if they did, was Clinton told this fact.

There was a reason why the Administration went head first into the lie that the attack was about a video. Was that reason the fact that they wanted to divert attention away from a gun running operation to Syrian rebels?

It took 4 months because Obama’s meme during the campaign was that ”al Qaeda was on the run.”
In Obama’s inauguration speech someone wrote appeasement words about not bothering to win wars, just ”win” the peace.
(As if that were even possible!)
Now, all of a sudden, it doesn’t matter why we were attacked in Libya????

Via Clifford May:
Peter Bergen, a director at the New America Foundation and the national-security analyst for CNN, began pronouncing AQ dead last summer. At the Aspen Institute, he even gave a speech titled “Time to Declare Victory: Al Qaeda Is Defeated.”
In stump speeches round the country, Obama said al-Qaeda had been “decimated.”
In his inaugural address this week Obama claimed that “a decade of war is now ending.” (He also spoke of “peace in our time” — a phrase made infamous by British prime minister Neville Chamberlain at Munich in 1938.)

Serious analysts acknowledge their errors, attempt to determine what data or mis-assumptions led them astray, and work to reshape their narrative in conformance with reality. Serious analysts are acutely aware that no strategic mistake is more dangerous than telling yourself you are winning when you are not.
Obama, et al, are NOT serious analysts.

Clifford May:

Last weekend, I spoke with someone I’ll identify only as a senior American military official.
It required no prompting from me for him to express his frustration over top officials in the Obama administration’s continuing to insist that the global conflict is “receding.”
Challenging that notion is difficult because within the administration it is forbidden to speak or write openly about the ideology of those fighting us.
To do so, the official said, would be “inflammatory,” requiring discussion of the role of fundamentalist Islamic theology.
In a sense — the literal sense — what we have here is a religious taboo.

Odd, too, that Obama’s National Endowment for the Humanities’ is pushing America’s libraries to exhibit 25 books, pre-approved books, about ISLAM. It is called “Bridging Cultures Bookshelf: Muslim Journeys”.
And CHINA is paying for it by lending the federal government money, because we are BROKE.
No Christian books are from the Federal Government.
No Jewish books.
No Hindu books.
No Buddhist books.
No Mormon books.
No religious books of any sort…..except these MUSLIM books.
How weird is this?
And look above at Hillary’s remark…..
It wasn’t “some TERRORISTS” or “some al QAEDA,” it was ”some guys.”
Obama called them ”folks” who he hopes we can learn to understand better.

Obama is setting America up to LOOK like it is winning against Islamic foes while he serves us up in surrender!
Clifford May:

The irony is glaring: American officials can kill our enemies (mostly with drones).
They just can’t analyze, criticize, or challenge the beliefs that motivate them.
Fighting a kinetic war is permitted, but waging a cognitive war is prohibited.
If we are to avoid defeat, we need to be fighting both.

Obama is setting us up so we cannot avoid defeat.
Better read those books and buy a prayer rug….just for appearances’ sake.

And still the only one tied in any way to Benghazi who is behind bars is the man who made the anti-Islam preview film.

Regarding ”teaching” America about Islam and forcing us to buy 25 books per library here’s someone else who wanted to teach Americans about Islam:
At the height of the hostage crisis in Algeria, one of the kidnappers explained: “We’ve come in the name of Islam, to teach the Americans what Islam is.” As of Sunday evening, this exercise in religious education had claimed eighty-one lives and left BP’s natural gas plant in Algeria in a state of ruin, booby-trapped with mines and explosives.

Further indication of the hostage-taker’s mindset came from one Algerian who escaped and later recounted: “The terrorists told us at the very start that they would not hurt Muslims but were only interested in the Christians and infidels. We will kill them, they said. They allowed locals to go free, saying they did not want to hurt Muslims. Some locals were forced to recite parts of the Koran to prove they were Muslims.”

Maybe Obama should remember that ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

Clinton: With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans.

Johnson: I understand.

Clinton: Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?

It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator. Now, honestly, I will do my best to answer your questions about this. But the fact is that people were trying in real time to get the best information….But, you know, to be clear, it is, from my perspective, less important today looking backwards as to why these militants decided they did it than to find them and bring them to justice, and then maybe we’ll figure out what was going on in the meantime.

Doesn’t it make a difference to know the cause and motive for the killing of 4 Americans? Doesn’t it matter to the investigation if you’re trying to “figure out what happened and do everything” to “prevent it from ever happening again”?

It’s because “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans” that these questions must be asked and addressed, Senator. The outrage is ours to make. Not yours.

Liberals don’t give a damn if Millions die, as long as it furthers their goals. If 10’s of millions die after they achieve their goals (whatever the hell they may be) then that’s ok too as long as it isn’t one of their family member and frankly I’m not so sure that even matters.

I do have some un-asked questions…
1. What did the government hang over the heads of the other 30 American witnesses / victims to keep them silent and anonymous?

2. What was the mission in Benghazi. that couldn’t be accomplished at the Embassy?

3. Where have all our un-used weaponry that we provided to overthrow Khadfi?

Clinton’s hearing on the hill was nothing but a dog and pony show meant to distract and provide disinformation so media shitheads like Mathews would proclaim “It’s over, we got to the bottom of it, move along, there’s nothing to see here…”

I am disgusted, angered and disappointed that we have nobody in government with the balls to stand up, point fingers and loudly proclaim “HEY! HHEEEEYYYYY! Let’s start doing things right! STOP the lies, do the right things for the good of our nation!”

Wordsmith can correct me if I’m wrong, but when you are trying to find out who committed a crime, aren’t the big three questions an investigator asks ‘means’, ‘motive’, and ‘opportunity’?

So, isn’t motive the question that concerns itself with why the crime was committed? And if we are asking why a crime was committed, doesn’t that mean that it DOES make a difference?

As many people as there are that watch the various cop dramas on TV, you’d think that they would realize that it does, in fact, matter quite a bit as to why Amb. Stevens was killed, and that they should be rallying for Clinton to answer the questions put to her truthfully, instead of what she has done thus far, which is to dance around the questions being asked of her.

I recall the dead people’s parents saying “Hillary, Obama &Pannetta looked me right in the eyes and told me it was about a video”. If this is correct then why is Hillary getting a pass on denial of said actions?

“What difference does it make” was pretty much her reaction to Bill & Monica, too.

I’m shedding some tears again ,remembering the day, and
reviewing the AMBASSADOR BEING DRAGG OUT, HIS FINGERS BLOODY MARKING THE END OF THE WALL LINES THAT THE LOGO OF OBAMA CARRY WITH THE CIRCLE, IT STRUCK ME TO SEE THAT,, AS THEY TAKE HIM OUT, HIS SHIRT HALF WAY DESTROYED HE IS DOWN, AS THEY SHOW HIM TO THE MOB CURIOUS, I ask is he dead? his eyes shut, he doesn’t respond he is bloody on his body,
someone mention he was rape, there was blood over his bed at the end of the inner room,
I’m scare when one say HE IS ALIVE, because it bring back the vision of GADAFI HORRIBLE ENDING WHEN THEY ARE CUTTING HIS INSIDE DOWN WHEN HE IS STILL ALIVE BEING HELD BY MANY OF THEM,
I WONDER WHAT STEVEN WILL GO THROUGH,
AND NO REPERCATION FOR THAT, NO BOMB TO PULVERIZE BENGHASI, NOTHING TO PUNISH
ALL MUST PAY FOR IT EVEN IF THEY WHERE NOT THERE, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FLATTEN DOWN.
FOR THAT OFFENSIVE MURDER,
BESIDE THE 3 OTHERS WHO WHERE KILLED, SEALS OF AMERICA’S PRIDE,
DIED TO SAVE THEIR FRIEND, HERO OF AMERICA,
AS WE WHERE LOOKING WHAT WAS AVAILABLE TO SEE, FROM THAN ON,
AND WHAT WE DID NOT SEE, WAS HAUNTING US FROM THEN ON,
WE WHERE WAITING FOR A RETURN FROM AMERICA, AN ANSWER THAT THEY WOULD NEVER FORGET, AS AMERICA ALWAYS DID FOR WHOEVER TOUCH ONE OF HIS SON,
NOTHING HAPPEN, SO THOSE MUSLIM BOOK SHOULD BE BURNED ALL 25 OF THEM SO THE CHILDREN OF THIS AMERICA NEVER SET EYES ON IT,
