Anonymous Likens Obama’s Gun Control Policy to Hitler [Reader Post]

anonymous obama hitler

Hacktivist group Anonymous releases video against President Obama’s intentions to enact wider gun control in the U.S. Anonymous criticized the administration’s capitalizing on recent events of mass-murdering shooters in order to push forth a political gun control agenda, calling any such moves as a violation of their oaths of office, treasonous and declaring that they would be acts of insurrection against the Constitution and American people.

Throughout history, authoritarian governments have used gun violence as an excuse to take people’s firearms and control their population,” said Anonymous.

“This is exactly what Adolf Hitler did to disarm the German people and look at the atrocities his administration did. Obama has been working hard to try and ban all semi-automatic weapons and shot guns while at the same time increasing the weapons and firepower that police and government agencies have.

This  video has Anonymous firmly on the side of the Second Amendment.

As I understand, Hitler did not disarm the entire “…German people….”—only the Jews.

although I do not agree with liberal1(objectivity) 99 3/4% of the time, I found the following that in essence helps to support his argument. However there was gun control for all.

Hitler actually didn’t have to pass a gun ‘ban’, it was already in place with laws adopted by the Weimar Republic that were actually intended to disarm Nazis and Communists. The laws were sufficiently discretionary that the Nazis managed to use them against their enemies once they were in power.”
The Nazis did pass a weapons law in 1938, but that only added restrictions to the previous law, especially for Jews and other “non-citizens.”

When the Nazis enacted their own law in 1938, they added restrictions aimed at Jews, such as not allowing Jews to work in any business involving guns. They also prohibited those under eighteen from buying guns, added yet another permit for handguns, and banned silencers and small hollow-point ammunition. Of course, Nazi officials were exempted from all gun permits. Later that year, after “Kristallnacht,” Hitler forbade Jews to possess pretty much any weapons.

To summarize, Hitler did “effect total gun control,” but only for the Jews, and only after his regime had been in power for several years. For the rest of the population he relied on laws already in place.

To focus exclusively on gun control is to lose sight of the larger picture. The Nazis controlled EVERYTHING.

    Nope.
The Jews and OTHER persecuted classes of German people such as Gypsies, homosexuals, people of color, and others.
ALSO, Nazi Party members were exempted from Hitler’s 1938 gun laws.

Can you imagine a gun law here that prohibits minorities (Obama’s definition – which MAY include YOU) from gun ownership while allowing unfettered gun ownership as long as you are a Democrat (minority or not) ?
Remember Janet Napolitano tried to force ALL Vets coming home into a mental health evaluation before they might get guns…..and Vets were lumped together as a dangerous element as though they were the TERRORISTS we should fear most!

@Enchanted: Your second paragraph includes the crux of the gun control problem — the laws already in place — were then used as needed by those in power!

@Nan G: Yes — I have yet to hear a word outta the ‘RATS in DC or elsewhere about all the inner city weapons – most of which are illegally owned — all of which cause many many more deaths in places like sh-tcago, nahw’lins, LA, Detroit, DC and bloomies’ NYC.

What we need is criminal control – but when the biggest concentration of criminals reside and ply their trades in DC — (District of Criminals — uh – Communists) — not much hope can by seen on or beyond the horizon.

    @Enchanted:

This point made, (that the existent Wiemar Republic’s laws were only ‘reinterpreted’ by Hitler’s administration,) upholds the arguments of both the founding fathers and gun right supporters over their firm absolution that this Second Amendment right of the people “shall not be infringed.” While a current “tyranny” may not be in full control of our nation, we are not that far away from a “fundamental transformation” of our nation into an establishment of a tyrannical federal oligarchy. This emphasizes why we need to oppose the creation of any further gun control measures that could be used against the citizens, (just as Hitler used Wiemar laws against select groups of his nation’s people). Liberal1’s far-left argument actually supports this conclusion. Remembering that Hitler and his Nazi’s remade Germany into a national socialist utopian nation, and what form of utopia their republic was turned into, And the oppressive tyrannical histories of every other socialist state. we must be ever vigilant and stand firmly against any such legislation, that could be easily used later to oppress us.

We could draw a parallel with this administration and that of of Woodrow Wilson (who’s governance style and propaganda machine the Nazi party emulated). Obama’s speeches and attitude since reelection have a decided highly partisan “my way or the highway” progressive message. He lies in his declaration that he has a “mandate,” ignoring the political truth that; winning reelection by 51% is not a mandate, it is a simple majority. His very divisive inauguration speech, reusing material from past great leaders to underpin his agenda while showing total intolerance for any opposition to his “remaking” of America. In his address, Mr. Obama sounded exactly like an arrogant, intractable, narcissistic tyrant.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, acts like a duck and sounds like a duck…

  10. THE WORST PART OF THE WHOLE DISCUSSION IS THAT SOONER OR LATER YOU WOULD THINK THAT THE JEWS WOULD VOTE TO PROTECT THEMSELVES INSTEAD OF BEING VICTIMS . THE HOLLYWOOD RICH JEW IS FIRMLY ON THE SIDE OF THOSE THAT GAVE THEIR OWN PEOPLE UP UNDER ADOLPH . THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN IN THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE THERE ARE MORE OF US THAN THERE ARE THEM !

Ah, and there is more to that story than meets the eye.

    In 1995, Dianne Feinstein said:

“And, I know the sense of helplessness that people feel. I know the urge to arm yourself because that’s what I did. I was trained in firearms. I’d walk to the hospital when my husband was sick. I carried a concealed weapon. I made the determination that if somebody was going to try to take me out, I was going to take them with me.”

This statement was made all the while Dianne Feinstein was trying to help Clinton enact his “assault” weapons ban.

Feinstein claimed that she was packing due to threats on her life from a radical black group. So, in fear for her life, or the life of her husband, she packed. But she doesn’t want you to have the same ability to protect your life. But her hypocracy knows no bounds. She made the claim that she had donated her gun to a citywide gun turn-in program that was designed to melt down those weapons for some statue that was going to be build. Only one of her police body guards let the cat out of the bag and said that she only contributed a cheap model for the meltdown, but maintained her .357 for personal protection.

DailyKos, which cannot be considered conservative in any way reported:

“Feinstein is a strong proponent of gun control, yet is known to have carried concealed handguns herself with a normally nearly impossible to obtain California carry permit — few people, other than politicians and celebrities, are able to obtain California CCW permits. At one time, she was the only person in San Francisco to possess a concealed carry permit.”

Michael Moore[on], who is also anti-gun, found out the hard way that his personal body guards are not allowed to pack in an airport. Rosie O’Donnell, another anti-gun nut, who tried to run rough-shod over Tom Selleck because of his support for the 2nd Amendment and the NRA, does’t pack. She hired 3 three body guards to protect her, her wife and her children, who do pack.

And then there is Chucky Schumer, who not only carries a hand gun, inspite of being given armed security compliments of the New York Police Department, has a n”unrestricted” pistol permit, a rare thing in New York City.

And then there was the sad tale of Carl Rowan, a rabid anti-gun proponent who wanted to have all hand guns removed from the general population and only allowed to LEOs. Rowan was a Civil Rights organizer, former Assistant Secretary of State under JFK and a well respected “journalist” with the Chicago Sun-Times. Only problem, Rowan shot an 18 year old teen in his back yard that he caught in his swimming pool with a gun that was illegal by D.C. laws at the time. Rowan claimed he had the right to defend himself and that the gun wasn’t illegal because it didn’t belong to him, but his son. Yeah, that’s the anti-gun lobby for you. Guns are bad unless they need one, at which point, they have no trouble packing.

If hypocracy was made illegal, we could put most of the Democrats in jail.

    @Joseph F. Yates:
    Excellent comment, Joseph.
Remember when Pelosi said you’d have to pass the ObamaCare bill to find out what’s in it?
The LIBERAL colleges and universities are finally learning what’s in it!
    LOL!
Robert Balla, an adjunct professor of English at Stark State College, in North Canton, Ohio received a letter in which he was told that “in order to avoid penalties under the Affordable Care Act…employees with part-time or adjunct status will not be assigned more than an average of 29 hours per week.”
“I think it goes against the spirit of the [health-care] law,” Mr. Balla said. “In education, we’re working for the public good, we are public employees at a public institution; we should be the first ones to uphold the law, to set the example.”

    Well, guess what, Professor Balla?
    They are upholding the law.
    They read it.
They found out what was IN it.
They acted in their OWN self interest.
Now, you are getting your hours cut and NO health insurance coverage!

Stephen P. Halbrook has written extensively on the Nazi use of gun laws and registration lists in Hitler’s consolidation of power and attempts to exterminate the Jews. A shortened version appeared in The American Rifleman, June 2001. He has done some very good research and it is worth your time to read his longer analysis as well.

Then maybe you need to go back to History and learn. That National Socialists sought to disarm any and all rival political groups or opponents that could pose challenge to their political party in the 1930’s, not just the Jewish.

There is a reason that gun control in Hitler’s Germany matters to the US.

Our Second Amendment was written to prevent the federal government from infringing upon our rights to own and carry firearms, for the express reason of preventing that government from being able to use force, against We, the People, and bring us under tyrannical control. It has nothing to do with hunting rights, as is suggested loudly by the liberal/progressives.

In Hitler’s Germany, gun control was used to disarm certain portions of the populace, in order to impose tyrannical control over the entirety of Germany’s populace. That it led to extermination efforts is merely a secondary effect, but a very important aspect of that gun control.

There is no central group of hackers anymore, of late it has been a tool of the left and the occupy movement as a whole. You make a video that states anonymous supports your pet peeve and suddenly you have the backing of a shadowy cabal of whiteknighters that give some sort of swashbuckling paper-back novel gravitas to your message. And we now have an example of right of centre people using the mask and video style. If either political movements actually knew what anonymous did more than 4 years ago then they would not be so keen to laminate themselves to the image.

That a group happens to support one position that you believe, in doesn’t mean that you go along with all their agenda. Just look at today’s Republican party, most constitutional conservatives do not support what the establishment progressives want, and the moderate members are caught in between.

What is so concerning to me is the fact that Obama and Biden are actually lobbying to pass gun control. It is my understanding that Biden is to visit different areas of the country to promote their agenda. Biden has already made a complete ass out of himself in Virginia by telling everyone to arm themselves with a shotgun instead of an “assault” rifle. Obama has spoken with police from the areas where mass shootings have taken place, apparently ignoring the statements made by many, many Sheriffs around the country refusing to enforce this unconstitutional ban. More than 800.000 people have emailed Obama, Biden and their own state reps/legs via the Ruger website. I wonder how many more people have taken it upon themselves to hand write letters and to make phone calls against gun control. I read an article where Obama blamed the republicans for not compromising on gun control. I find it difficult to believe that more Americans are willing to given an ounce of freedom for the false promise of a little security. I truly believe most of us are much more intelligent than that. So what I want to know is what sort of hidden fat is he trying to lace into this bill?
