Oh how those Tea Party rubes are fouling the well-oiled political gears of Washington D.C. Have you heard of their latest shenanigans? Truly scandalous, and Republican Rep. Steven LaTourette does not like it one bit. Not even a smidge.
What was the infraction that had earned them LaTourette’s scorn and label “Chuckleheads”? It is best we let Rep. LaTourette explain it himself:
“I don’t know what the number is but say the number is 40 out of 240 – that’s not a repudiation of his (Speaker of the House John Boehner) leadership. That’s the same 40, 50 chuckleheads that all year … have screwed this place up. And he has done everything in his power to make nice to them, to bring them along, to make them feel included, but it hasn’t mattered,”
This was LaTourette’s response to a question about the failure of Speaker Boehner’s ‘Plan B’ from being brought before congress for a vote. 40-50 “Chuckleheads” who in LaTourette’s estimation are preventing Speaker Boehner’s from enacting a plan to save the United States from the precipice of the “fiscal cliff” all agree the country is heading for. Why would 40-50 conservative renegades band together to prevent the saving of the economy of the United States? Is it an evil plot to overthrow Speaker Boehner and destroy the country?
No. It is because this band of “Chuckleheads” know Speaker Boehner’s ‘Plan B’ is just a political ploy that does nothing to fix the immense financial problem that the United States will soon find itself in. ‘Plan B’ does not fix the problem, its real purpose is to avoid being blamed when Speaker Boehner and the Republican Party eventually fold to President Obama demands for more spending. ‘Plan B’ is nothing more than a soft-lob returned back to Democrats to be spiked in the face of the American tax payer on the Potomac Political country club tennis court. Neither side, Republican or Democrat, want to make the hard choices needed to prevent an economic meltdown, after all they created it. Tax payer money to them is free slush fund to pay off lobbyists and industry insiders for their campaign contributions and a carrot on a stick dangled in front of voters promising “free” goods and services to be paid for by someone else. The only loser of the game is the taxpayer in the stands.
We, as taxpayers, should be cheering on and thanking the Tea Party “Chuckleheads” for not being willing participants in this dishonest political game where the score has already been decided. The “Chuckleheads” are doing exactly what many of them were elected by their constituents to do: stop the spending, cut the dead weight, and fix what is wrong in Washington D.C. If that earns them, and those who agree with their defiant stance , the label of “Chucklehead”, I say we wear it proudly The only way stop the well calculated insanity in Washington D.C. is when the Chuckleheads Unite!

There needs to be limits on all government employment. Public service needs to be just that, service not private enrichment.
Understand Bees that I in no way am letting Obama and the democrats off they hook. They are the major cause of the problem.
But…
Conservatives need to recognize that the current Republican leadership and the Republican Establishment behind the scenes have for too long been getting a free ride by us. They are addicted to taxpayer money as well.
Neither party is willing to face the problem because they believe fixing it will require to make unpopular decisions which will not benifit them come election time.

Bees, I know nothing more then you do, probably less. We read the same things I suspect and in no way should I be considered more knowledgeable a source then you or anyone else. I am for anyone that will work to stop the waste and corruption and back the U.S. Constitution. I believe in Conservative values though to be honest, gay marriage and abortion are way down on my list right now. The one thing all Conservatives agree on is individual rights, less spending, and a smaller government. Until a party or movement can get these basic principles down everything else is a distraction. A form of political triage needs to be followed allow us to focus on the countries most life-threating issues. Until that time the Republican Party and any other Conservative movement is doomed.
That is just my opinion of course.

I’m not a religious person, so I can look at issues in “neutral” mode. I have mentioned that the Christians who want the government to make decisions on Christian values, because they are the majority religion in the USA, will have to agree that if another religion becomes the major religion in the country, the federal government will have to use their values to make decisions. What if the Muslim religion becomes the major religion in the USA? They way they are going, they probably will be some day. Will the Christians tell their politicians to follow the Muslim values in making their decisions in congress? They can’t have it both ways. I would much rather have the laws passed because it was best for the most people. Not because a religion wants it that way.
One example is the abortion issue. The next presidential election, we put it up for a vote. Since only women can get pregnant, only women vote on the issue. The majority wins. A lot of the major issues should be done this way. With almost everybody having access to different news media, we all can learn about a major issue and vote how we want it to be.

I don’t have a problem with religious symbols on government property, as long as it is a religion that teaches to love each other, and their symbols represent that. I have even written to some organizations trying to keep crosses and other religious symbols up, and suggest that if the item was up before the separation of church and state law was passed, the grandfather law should apply, and they should be allowed to stay.
My mom tried to PUSH her Christian beliefs on people for many years. She immunized her kids against preachers. All she did was make people not want to have anything to do with her. For many years I have said that you win converts to your way of thinking by LIVING it, not pushing it on others. I let people believe or not believe as they wish.
