Obama: I Will Stand With The Muslims [Reader Post]

Egypt, Mohammed Morsi, and the Muslim Brotherhood are holding, on December 15, 2012, a referendum on a new constitution.

You know, the constitution that President Barack Hussein “vote buyer” Obama refuses to criticize.

You know, the constitution written by a committee of 100 selected by the now disbanded Egyptian parliament that, at the time of the creation of the Constituent Assembly, was dominated by Islamists. Fifteen committee members quit the Assembly in protest. Of the 85 members remaining, none were Christians, and only four were women. So much for “diversity,” one of the Democrats/liberals/progressives’ (DLPs) most precious ideals.

You know, the constitution that has in it, “State shall safeguard ethics, public morality and public order, and foster a high level of education and of religious and patriotic values….” Just what does that mean?

You know, the constitution that has no ban on slavery, no article specifically establishing equality between men and women, and includes a clause for insisting on stricter implementation of rulings of Shariah.

You know, the constitution that has an article that bans insulting or defaming the prophet and messengers, but is vague about what constitutes an insult or defamation, an article seeking to ensure people’s dignity by banning “insulting humans” (whatever that means), and an article that stipulates that the state supports the arts, science and literature and works to implement them in a way that serves society, but fails to define what “serves society” means, thus opening the door to censorship.

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland says “how people in Egypt view the [constitution] draft is most important.” But how will we ever know the Egyptian people view the draft? Thousands of Egyptian demonstrators in Tahrir Square protested against a draft constitution approved by allies of President Morsi. At the same time, Egypt’s ruling party, the Muslim Brotherhood, is paying gangs of thugs to sexually assault women and to beat up men who are taking part in protests following a decree by President Mohammed Morsi to give himself sweeping new powers.

And we now find that Morsi supporters (the Muslim Brotherhood) are operating torture chambers to intimidate, silence, or kill Morsi opponents. The torture starts once a demonstrator who opposes Morsi is arrested in the demonstration, or is suspected after the demonstrations end. As long as the demonstrator denies that he got paid to take part in the protest, or whether he supports Mohamed ElBaradei, founder of the Constitution Party, or Hamdeen Sabahi, founder of the Egyptian Popular Current, or the dissolved Egyptian Nationalist movement, the torturers beat him.

Despite the DLP protests about “the separation of church and state,” Obama’s silence on this issue (Egypt’s constitution) speaks rather loudly. It’s rather astonishing that Obama and his sycophant followers praise Morsi and his new Muslim Brotherhood-led government that is now making politics and religion one and the same, as Islam is quite accomplished at doing.

Obama has endorsed, or at least failed to stop, the delivery of 200 M1A1 Abrams battle tanks, and 20 F-16 Falcons. The latest deliveries bring Egypt’s M1A1 inventory to 1200, and it’s F-16 inventory to 240. According to Egypt analyst Robert Springborg, a professor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, “Egypt has far and away the largest army in Africa.” Can anyone say “Israel is next?” After all, Obama has blatantly shown disdain for Israel.

And, slavery is still alive in Islam, the religion practices by Muslims. Here is the text of an actual classified advertisement, by a Saudi man attempting to sell his castrated black slave:

ABDUL FOR SALE: Castrated black African slave
Peace be upon you
I have a [male] slave I bought from an African country and arranged for his visa and stay till I got him to Saudi [Arabia]

His description:
1 – Black skin. Tall 172 m. Weight 60 kilos.
2 – Castrated (excellent for working with a family as he won’t rape your wife or children). You can check him out with a doctor or yourself if you have experience in the matter.
3 – [His] health is quite undamaged and has no imperfections.
4 – Age 26 years.
5 – Religion is Muslim and [he is] obedient and will not disobey you except in what displeases God. Please, the matter is very serious and is not a joke.

Do Obama’s actions (failure to criticize Egypt’s new constitution and failure to stop weapons delivery) signify that he is in favor of the new constitution written by Morsi supporters? After all, in his book, Audacity of Hope, Obama wrote, “I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.” It sure seems that slavery is acceptable to Obama, since he is the child of a Muslim. And, it sure seems that Obama is quite comfortable with Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the draft of Egypt’s new constitution.

As Curt, at Flopping Aces said, “Like Carter before him Obama is the proud owner of a middle east in complete and utter turmoil and can claim credit for doing what no other leader has ever helped accomplish. Hand the keys to the kingdom over to the Muslim Brotherhood. He must be so proud.”

But that’s just my opinion.

Morsi’s activity sounds like what the US CIA did in Iran to get their political puppet, the Shah, in power. http://www.hirhome.com/iraniraq/iran-coup.htm

Barack Obama never said, “I Will Stand With The Muslims.”

@Beckwith: From “Audacity Of Hope” page 261:

I will stand with the Muslims should the Political winds shift in an ugly direction.

Some lies are easily countered with facts.

Skook

What Beckwith meant was “Nobody on TV ever told me that Obama said ‘I will stand with the Muslims’ — therefore it never happened. I don’t trust my own brain to do actual research, so I rely on the brains of the people on TV to tell me what is true and what is not, because those TV people are so much smarter than me, and it’s just easier to pretend I’m informed than to actually become informed.”

I encounter this every day.

“Brian Williams and Jon Stewart never told me this, so it must be a right-wing lie, and I feel that it’s not true.”

Many times a day, from people who would rather trust their TV “friends” than their actual friends.

Sad, that.

@Skookum: I see the trolls are out in force this am —

Good answer Skook — I can’t accuse you of feeding a troll — you just confused (slammed – actually) it with a fact — one in print with thousands of copies — with their master’s name on the cover of each and every one.

I couldn’t find the audio-book (which was narrated by Obama himself) portion of the quote, but here are some funny ones — very Presidential quotes, full of gravitas:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTdyMklPv3g

It is possible that he left that quote out of the audio book, since he did leave all references to “Frank” (Marshall-Davis, Obama’s Communist Hawaii mentor) out of the audio-book, which are present in the actual print edition.

C ommies erase history? Who knew?

@JDR: I just read the following atributed to Thomas Jefferson – no less: “The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers.”

@JDR: They are so full of crap they even have to erase their own – in print – words. But hey whaddaya expect from an illegitimate president –no real birth certificate, no school records, false SS number, false draft registration — on and on. Actually obie is the quintessential democrat — they almost got perfected with BJ but even reached further depths with this POS.

Wonder who they are gonna pull outta their collective a$$ next?

Anybody hear anything more from Sheriff Joe?

Skooks As you know quote was “stand with Them” and was referring only to American Muslim citizens.
Didn’t want them treated like interred Japanese American citizens in WWII.
Thanks and Merry Christmas Marine

Budvarakhar HRC— Joe’s probably gonna end up in his own jail.

I have to agree with Rich on the statement from Obama.

However, Obama still puts Muslim concerns above that of other countries, especially our ally Israel’s concerns. This is enough to make people believe that his statement concerning “standing with muslims” as meaning something more than as written. And considering that Obama has yet to denounce the power grab by Morsi, or the reports of actions by the MB as bad, or worse, than the previous Egyptian premier did, you really have to wonder what Obama truly believes, when it comes to muslim “sensibilities”.

There was a time, years ago, before 9-011-01, when Saudis openly beat and cuffed their slaves to bathroom plumbing at night, fed them hot sauce and made them re-eat it if the threw it up…..all here in the USA.
After 9-11-01 we had a few high profile arrests of Saudis over their keeping women as slaves.
One couple in Orange County, CA and another in Denver, CO were convicted of lessor charges and went to prison.
The Saudi government went ballistic over that.
How dare we?!?!
But then the Saudi government issued legal papers on the ”proper treatment of their slaves” to Saudis with slaves in Europe and the USA.
Now we don’t catch them.
They still enslave people and bring them here.
We just don’t catch them anymore.

Notice the slave was also Muslim?
Notice most of those opposed to Morsi in Egypt are also Muslim?
Muslim-on-Muslim violence is what we are seeing.
Obama is a weak horse, but he sides with the strong horses, like the Saudi king and Morsi.

The quote is fake, go to snopes. http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/coilofrage.asp

J.G Agree Morsi got undeserved kudos for “brokering” peace deal.A set up..
This guy democratically elected with plurality of the vote. i.e. majority voted against him.
He’s trying to pull a power grab which is being pushed back against by Egyptians and U.S. It should be strongly condemned and resisted.

@Beckwith:

In obama’s autobiography “Audacity of Hope”, Barack Hussein Obama said,

“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction…”

You can’t get too much clearer that he DID in fact say he would stand with muslims.

It really doesn’t matter how he said it in his book, it is obvious he does stand with the muslims. For example, the major at Ft. Hood that shot 33 soldiers and killed 13 was never cited by obama to be a terrorist. obama labeled it workplace violence. huh? Listen to obama, those terms-muslim terrorist have a hard time coming from his mouth.

@Richard Wheeler: He’s trying to pull a power grab which is being pushed back against by Egyptians and U.S. It should be strongly condemned and resisted

.

Could you clarify, RW?
Which is the IT you want strongly condemned and resisted?
The power grab of Morsi?
OR
The push-back of it by Egyptians?

~~~~~~~~~
Who else besides me actually has a copy of Ayres biography of Obama, The Audacity of Hope?
It reads (and if you want to use QUOTATION MARKS you must quote EXACTLY) :
“….the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their [Arab- and Pakistani-Americans’] sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction. ”
Page 261 of my copy.
Note it is THEM, not Muslims.
And the THEM are not ALL Muslims but those Arab and Pakistanis in the USA who are investigated (under Bush) think we look at them funny.
@susie9r9r:
hate to say but the two people Barbara and David Mikkelson that run snopes are pretty much liberal and hid a lot of things about obama (especially in 2008/09) they should have looked into. When I read about them I stopped going to snopes because some of their ‘conclusions’ are based on their political affiliation.
@Nan G:
I’m pretty sure that Rich is saying that the power grab should be condemned. The question is, does Rich believe that Obama and the State Dept. should be the ones condemning it. I do. As do many people here, I’m sure.
NanG. The power grab by Morsi should be condemned by all including BHO Admin.
Nan and Skook .Do you now clearly understand BHO”S meaning as explained in #9?
@Richard Wheeler:
The power grab by Morsi should be condemned by all including BHO Admin.
Are you asking yourself the question of why they aren’t condemning the power grab?
It is because of the Obama admin’s refusal to denounce this that people believe Obama “sides” with the muslims, in general, Rich. Just as Obama and his admin refused to call the Ft. Hood attack what it really was, or label the attacker what he actually is. These are the examples that people see indicating that what Obama wrote in his book is but a glimmer of what he really believes, regarding muslims, Rich. And he has done nothing to correct that viewpoint that people hold. Actions speak louder than words, and Obama’s actions tell a different tale than his words have. In every issue we have seen come up over the past four years.
:
I have been trying to add this image link with no success, but your page 261 quote does not exist.
http://www.theobamafile.com/_Image0/StandWithMuslims.jpg
His exact quote is:
“In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans ‚ I have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging.”
“I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
@Enchanted:
See post #22
John G. Do you think when people DELIBERATELY misquote someone and falsely get others to believe the lie,they should at least rescind the lie. Is that not slander? I’d consider that a starting point before we can move ahead.
Wouldn’t you agree?
@Enchanted:
There is no disagreement, the quote is fake, all the fact checking sites agree on that, why do you think that no one can actually just show the actual quote?
@Richard Wheeler: Nan and Skook .Do you now clearly understand BHO”S meaning as explained in #9?
RW, I think Obama went well beyond any mere assurance to American Muslims that they would NOT be interned as Japanese Americans were during WWII.
By 2010 Obama had placed new polices in our DHS that meant that a person such as Faisal Shahzad had a bank that knew more about him than any Homeland Security part of our government.
In fact, Faisal Shahzad’s real estate agents knew more about his politics than did anyone in Obama’s entire Administration.
Ironically, Faisal Shahzad went from carrying militant ideals in his head to militant acts after Obama failed to get the USA out of Afghanistan and Iraq!
Faisal Shahzad – You might remember him as the Times’ Square Bomber.
And how many other Faisal Shahzads are there under Obama’s meaning about how Muslims should be treated in the USA?
We won’t know until each one strikes, killing innocent Americans like Faisal Shahzad tried to do.
I am still working and have several more hours before i arrive home, so your missives to me have gone unnoticed. I am using a phone with limited success. I know what the intent was: indeed, yet the statement was that he had never written the sentence. I am not an OBama apologist, he has a crew of writers who work overtime at that chore. I assume you can state a simple fact without a dissertation. At best, the quote is out of context. A tactic perfected by the State Directed Media, I know we conservatives are held to higher standards, but some of us fall off the turnip wagon once in a while. Now, I must get back to my cayuses and broom tails.
@Skook:
I don’t wish to make a High Mass out of a Hail Mary, but the quote in the article is incorrect — although the sentiment is identical.
As a long-time Obama critic, I have learned that it is imperative to be spot on when writing criticism of Obama. Any variance from the factual will be used by Team Obama and Obots to discredit the writer, the blog and the charge.
Cheers . . .
@Beckwith: Beckwith is right and I stand corrected. The origin of the misquote has to do with immigrants being stripped of their rights, referring back to Japanese Americans being put into concentration camps and confiscating all their possessions during WW11. Obama did not mention Muslims specifically, but when the quote is taken out of context and the plural noun Muslims is added, the quote becomes sensational. Nan is also correct, since the disputed passage is on page 261.
Although, I despise the presumed ghost author of Dreams (William Ayers); I appreciate the humor of his poetic drama. I found the ghost writer of Audacity to be boring in comparison. Boring writers are more likely to be misquoted because of the tedious nature of their work. If you are a starry eyed follower of Obama, I will ask you to review the findings of Jack Cashill at American Thinker. He has written many articles on Obama’s authenticity as an author and a book on the subject.
According to Andersen, Obama was “hopelessly blocked” in his effort to honor the $150,000 contract Simon & Schuster had advanced him after three years of trying.
Obama was particularly worried because he had spent $75,000 of the advance and had produced nothing. In 1993, the publisher canceled the contract but let Obama keep the money after he pled poverty due to “massive student loan debt.”
After his agent secured Obama a smaller contract with the Times Books division of Random House, Barack and Michelle decamped to Bali in the hope that he would be able to finish the book without interruption. That did not happen either.
With the deadline pressing, Michelle recommended that Barack seek advice from “his friend and Hyde Park neighbor Bill Ayers.”
To flesh out his family history, Obama had taped interviews with various family members. Andersen writes, “These oral histories, along with a partial manuscript and a truckload of notes, were given to Ayers.”
Andersen quotes a Hyde Park neighbor: “Everyone knew they were friends and that they worked on various projects together. It was no secret. Why would it be? People liked them both.”
Andersen continues, “In the end, Ayers’ contribution to Barack’s ‘Dreams From My Father’ would be significant – so much so that the book’s language, oddly specific references, literary devices and themes would bear a jarring similarity to Ayerss own writing.”
To his credit, Andersen cites my contribution to his research, but he clearly has access to inside information that I did not have. His level of detail on the mechanics of the transmission goes beyond anything I could have discovered on my own.
Andersen concludes, “Thanks to help from the veteran writer Ayers, Barack would be able to submit a manuscript to his editors at Times Books.”
If you read the entire page of Cashill, you will have a good chuckle as Chris Mathews makes himself look like a fool over the Palin/Obama ghostwriter issue. It is a hoot.
The poetry of Obama the Occidental College student:
UNDERGROUND
Under water grottos, caverns
Filled with apes
That eat figs.
Stepping on the figs
That the apes
Eat, they crunch.
The apes howl, bare
Their fangs, dance,
Tumble in the
Rushing water,
Musty, wet pelts
Glistening in the blue.
Poetry isn’t meant to reflect the ability of a leader, but when it is one of the few surviving manuscripts that can be attributed to Obama, it makes you wonder.
The next poem has left many people concerned over the man/boy issues. Many are supposing it is a fatherless boy’s admiration for the masculine role model in his life, Frank Marshal Davis.
POP
Sitting in his seat, a seat broad and broken
In, sprinkled with ashes
Pop switches channels, takes another
Shot of Seagrams, neat, and asks
What to do with me, a green young man
Who fails to consider the
Flim and flam of the world, since
Things have been easy for me;
I stare hard at his face, a stare
That deflects off his brow;
I’m sure he’s unaware of his
Dark, watery eyes, that
Glance in different directions,
And his slow, unwelcome twitches,
Fail to pass.
I listen, nod,
Listen, open, till I cling to his pale,
Beige T-shirt, yelling,
Yelling in his ears, that hang
With heavy lobes, but he’s still telling
His joke, so I ask why
He’s so unhappy, to which he replies…
But I don’t care anymore, cause
He took too damn long, and from
Under my seat, I pull out the
Mirror I’ve been saving; I’m laughing,
Laughing loud, the blood rushing from his face
To mine, as he grows small,
A spot in my brain, something
That may be squeezed out, like a
Watermelon seed between
Two fingers.
Pop takes another shot, neat,
Points out the same amber
Stain on his shorts that I’ve got on mine, and
Makes me smell his smell, coming
From me; he switches channels, recites an old poem
He wrote before his mother died,
Stands, shouts, and asks
For a hug, as I shrink, my
Arms barely reaching around
His thick, oily neck, and his broad back; ’cause
I see my face, framed within
Pop’s black-framed glasses
And know he’s laughing too.
Davis was a communist and a pornographer who had a passion for children. Whether it is creativity or the recreation of a liaison, we may never know, but it does seem to ‘arouse’ peoples curiosity, especially towards the end of the poem. If you have never read poetry, after you read this one with its peculiar and graphic symbolism, you may never read another poem.
“I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”
I can’t begin to tell you how badly I’ve been vilified for using that quote! In his own words he told us exactly where he stands and yet the lemmings vote for him. One has to wonder how much of the vote for this clown was in fact the Anti-Semite in nature as well as brainwashed socialist leaning morons?
@Richard Wheeler:
Rich, it’s not a “misquote” so much as it’s a paraphrase. It is quite obvious to any that have read the paragraph that by “them”, Obama was referring to muslims, and particularly the American Muslims. So, when you substitute “muslims” in place of “them”, that portion of the quote reads exactly as Skook used it.
And it’s not slander, Rich, as it isn’t a misquote, even if it is purposely paraphrased in that particular way.
Normally, I’m the type of guy who believes ‘wrong is wrong’, no matter who commits an action, but I would not support your suggestion that the misquoters apologize, Rich. And that’s because Obama hasn’t shown ANY desire to be truthful about others, and he has had many, many chances to rescind and apologize over quotes he has used incorrectly, or complete misquotes, or simple paraphrasing to imply the negative about whom he is speaking. Since he doesn’t seem to care, I wouldn’t either.
What’s one hundred times worse than the “stand with them” quote is the interview with Nicholas Kristof, published in The New York Times, in which Kristof reported that Barack Obama recited the Muslim call to prayer, the Adhan, “with a first-class [Arabic] accent.”
The opening lines of the Adhan (Azaan) is the Shahada:
“Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme! Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet… ”
According to Islamic scholars, reciting the Shahada, the Muslim declaration of faith, makes one a Muslim. This simple yet profound statement expresses a Muslim’s complete acceptance of, and total commitment to, the message of Islam.
Obama knows this from his Quranic studies — and he knows the New York Times will publish this fact and it will be seen throughout the Islamic world.
Regardless of Obama’s religion, what message was he sending the world’s 1.2 billion Muslims?
I suppose it’s easy for Obama to remember the Shahada for the 35 years since he left Indonesia — and in ‘first-class’ Arabic — especially since he believes the Muslim call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth.”
The fact that Obama can recall the Shahada after 35 years and the fact that he believes that the daily call to prayer is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth” say that those Muslim prayers run through his head often — what does that make him?
http://theobamafile.com/_Islam/ObamaIslamCandidate.htm#shahada
J.G. I think you a smart guy. You and I both know it’s not a paraphrase but a deliberate attempt to mislead as to BHO’s meaning.
To their credit Beckwith in 26 and Skook in 27 realize this very fact. Kudos.
Note to J.G and Enchanted Beckwith has correct quote in#20. Meaning is clear.
As to Morsi. His attempted power grab should be condemed by Admin.
@Richard Wheeler:
I don’t know how to make this any easier for you to understand, Rich, but I’ll attempt it nonetheless.
When Obama said “them”, he was referring to muslims, and American muslims specifically. Therefore, using the quote itself, and inserting “muslims” in place of “them” is not in and of itself a misquote, but rather, a paraphrase.
paraphrase
1. A restatement of a text or passage in another form or other words, often to clarify meaning.
It’s not the restatement of the text that is the issue, Rich, but the use of it to imply something that Obama didn’t really say. Kind of like when Obama used the 47% quote from Romney to imply something that Romney never said. And of course that is wrong. I never said that it wasn’t.
The only thing negative thing that I’ve said about Obama is that he doesn’t deserve an apology from anyone who misuses the quote, Rich. Obama hasn’t shown any desire to talk the truth about others, so why should he deserve the truth from them?
Generally speaking, though, if honesty were more prevalent in politics, we would all be better off. And probably choose better people to lead this country. Do you agree?
Just another thought here. As one looks at the open bias towards Jews and at the same time the open support for everything Muslim (again, this is my view) one in fact does have to wonder about where this President stands. His open ambivalence as shown like for example the Fort Hood shooter as to even referring to Radical Muslim hatred is the real perception as I see it. A perception can be made in a minute but take 10 years to change. Everything this administration does seems to enforce the perception he is in fact radically pro Muslim and for that matter Anti-Jewish. Again, my view, but as an American Jew it fits. If one has to question this, just look at Deeeborne, Mi. or better still the constant hate attacks against the great Pamela Geller and her anti-jihad ads. I do not take this lightly, nor do I say these things happily.
Perception in this “show me world” is everything and this President is a failure on every level except to those who take and/or the radicals he seems to support.
J.G. As shown by the exact quote in #20 the substitution of Muslims for them is a direct attempt to mislead. We both know it.
Joetote Talk about perception Romney’s taped 47% comment was a death knoll for his candidacy.
More honesty for EVERYONE is a noble goal.
Merry Christmas Peace on Earth
@Richard Wheeler: Rich,
As anyone regular on this site would know, I pretty much hold almost all politicians in equal disdain. In the case above though, I honestly feel this President and his followers (as well as what I call RINO scum) do not have the best interests of this nation in their sights. I do believe he has high disdain for the Jewish population in general and for that matter apparently does not have much use for our allies in general. His stands on just about anything are dead against the basic principles I was brought up to believe in and quite honestly I do not feel this man has one vit of love for this country, only despite.
Again, I readily admit I am a conservative, but more I refer once again to our founding fathers and the multitude of people that have given blood, lives and more to give us what we are now having taken away. This is how I feel. I cannot respect this President as a man and my love of the people in the Armed Forces make me loathe to respect him as C in C, something I maybe (having not served) don’t have the right to say. None the less, that is how I feel.
As to the Muslim perception as I call it, I believe deeply he is sided with them. I am not calling him a Muslim and never have. I feel he sides with them.
@Richard Wheeler:
Are you being obtuse on purpose, Rich?
The substitution of “muslims”, in place of “them”, is correct, as that IS EXACTLY WHO OBAMA IS REFERRING TO!
The people who substitute, in that manner, are clarifying who Obama says he will stand with.
It is a paraphrase of the original quote!
The mislead comes in when they leave the rest of the paragraph out of the quote, hence quoting “out of context”, and the implication that ” Obama stands with muslims”, period. And I’ve said as much in my previous comments, Rich.
Joe As a professed Conservative i understand your views. As a professed Democrat in the tradition of FDR JFK, and RFK I’m gonna disagree on some core issues.
I don’t believe BHO is anti-Semetic or anti Israel. My many Jewish friends and around 75% of the Jewish electorate seem to disagree with you as well.
As a former Marine Officer I assure you I would not vote for anyone I thought did not hold our military in high regard. Obama passes my test.Believe me when I say I’ve watched him closely.
Joe , as a Dem. I can’t help feeling there are many simply trying to destroy this man.Birthers,people calling him a Muslim.degrading his wife. You understand,they’ve made it very Personal. Many of us have a problem with that.That’s the pushback that got him re-elected.
J.G My posts are generally brief and to the point.Unlike some on here lol Never before accused of being obtuse. Blunt and sometimes caustic–Guilty
Semper Fi
@Richard Wheeler:
Rich,
I appreciate your answer, especially as one who has served. I hope I haven’t made it personal and I do agree some have indeed done that. none the less, it is my beliefs and core make up that controls how I feel about this. We will agree to disagree on this one.
@Richard Wheeler:
Obtuse, Rich, as in “lacking quickness of perception”. Yes, you were being obtuse, probably on purpose since you seem to be a somewhat intelligent guy.
MuslinVSMuslim violence is destined to continue no matter where Obama stands.
Look at the economic disaster that is Egypt under ”the Brotherhood.”
The Brotherhood has already destroyed their tourism slice of the economy….and it was a BIG slice.
Now, it looks like the Brotherhood is cutting off its nose to spite its face with regard to all of the (over a million) Egyptians working in foreign lands!
Jordan:
500,000 Egyptians are currently working in Jordan.
But the Brotherhood has not protected the natural gas line to Jordan, allowing it to be cut numerous times since taking power.
All that as part of a plot to make Jordan the next domino to fall to the Brotherhood.
http://learningenglish.voanews.com/content/muslim-brotherhood-ready-for-more-active-role-in-jordan/1560924.html
So, King Abdullah of Jordan (a direct descendant from Mohammad!) is beginning to deport all Egyptian workers who are in violation of his country’s conditions of residency.
There have already been 1,900 deportations and 390,000 more are in line to be deported.
Libya:
200,000 Egyptians used to work in Libya.
Most have self-deported.
Libya is not interested in having them back.
Saudi Arabia:
1.7 million Egyptians work in Saudi Arabia.
The Kingdom’s rulers side with Jordan, even planning to be that country’s new source for natural gas.
All these workers can be deported when the Kingdom wants to.
Kuwait:
500,000 Egyptians work in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti government looks upon those workers as potential terrorists for the Brotherhood.
These countries see the Brotherhood as a threat, and they are correct.
Just since taking power those cuts to natural gas into Jordan have cost Jordan $7.04 billion.
But foreign workers from Egypt are the very last thing holding up the Brotherhood’s economy.
If enough Egyptian workers are expelled back to Egypt, the Brotherhood’s economy collapses.
President Morsi’s proposed solution?
Borrow from the International Monetary Fund or gift from Obama.
The IMF said only one condition: RAISE TAXES.
Morsi said no.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/dec/11/egypt-imf-loan-delay-morsi
That leaves Obama.
joetote
hi,
and is there another PRESIDENT WHO EVER SAID THAT?
and why would he said that if it was not his will to say it,
yes he is on their side, he did not accuse them for the BENGHASI SLAUGHTER,
HE NEVER SAID ANYTHING EXCEPT ACCUSING THE MOVIE MAKER, AND PUT HIM IN PRISON,
HE DID NOT ACCUSE THE LYBIANS TO HAVE RAN AWAY WHEN THE ALQAEDA CAME TO MURDER THE FOUR BRAVES,
