UN Votes To Recognize Palestine As a State, Israel Responds By Approving Construction Of 3,000 New Homes In Disputed Areas

As they should.

T

he UN cemented its place in the world as a safe haven for terrorists and all those who want to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth with a lopsided 138-9 vote to create a a Palestinian state. Once established that state will immediately be at war with Israel.

So Israel lets the world know…they will not back down from aggression:

Israel approved the construction of 3,000 new homes in Jerusalem and the West Bank, less than 24 hours after the United Nations General Assembly voted to recognize Palestine as a non-member state.

Israel also intends to move forward on procedures necessary to plan further construction in a West Bank area between the Jewish settlement of Maaleh Adumim and Jerusalem, two government officials said, speaking anonymously due to the sensitivity of the matter. The Palestinian Authority, the UN and the U.S. consider all Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal.

Want to guess who would be the first to condemn Israel’s moves?

And there are no plans by Obama to cut off aid to the Palestinian Authority.

Shocker.

But I’m liking Rubio more and more:

“I oppose this unilateral move by the government of president Abbas and regret its reckless endorsement by the United Nations. True peace and international recognition of a Palestinian state can only be achieved through direct negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians. The Palestinian people would be much better served if the Palestinian Authority were to spend its energies in responding to several Israeli calls for direct negotiations. As the Senate debates the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), I am proud to be a co-sponsor of an amendment to prohibit U.S. taxpayer funding for the United Nations in the event the organization upgrades Palestine’s status from permanent observer ‘entity’ before a comprehensive peace agreement has been reached with Israel. The Senate should swiftly adopt it.”

Unlike in the USA, where the population is shrinking as women are having fewer than 2 babies each, Israel’s population is growing. Their average is 3 babies for every woman. They NEED new housing.
If ”Palestine” is now a state what possible difference can it make to it whether its neighbor states; Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, build homes for their people?
If ”Palestine” wants to go to war over these homes, like the Germans did about the eastern French land in Alsace-Lorraine, they can do so.
But if all ”Palestine” wants to do is go to the UN about everything, and the vote there is as skewed as this one, Israel will ignore the UN on it.
    And why not?
