A black Islamic flag is flying over the U.S. embassy in Tunisia after it was stormed by a mob of protesters today – as anger at an American-made anti-Islam film resulted in chaos across the world.
Symbols of America and U.S. embassies have been targeted around the globe in a fourth day of protest after Tuesday’s deadly raid on the American consulate in Libya.
In Tunisian capital Tunis, a mob overran the U.S. embassy compound, scaling the walls and setting fire to cars before tearing down the Stars and Stripes and replacing it with the symbol of Islam.
No U.S. staff were in the embassy in the city, where an American school has also been set on fire.
A large cloud of black smoke rose around the U.S. embassy as stone-throwing protesters and police waged a pitched battle.
Thousands of demonstrators massed outside the embassy and several were seen climbing the outer wall of the embassy grounds and raising a flag on which was written the Muslim profession of faith.
The protesters chanted ‘Obama, Obama, we are all Osamas’.
And all this is a coordinated attack by our enemy. The film is nothing but a excuse (and most likely a part of the coordinated attack) designed to get moderate Muslims angry (fanatical Islamists are always angry so no need to do anything special for them), and to keep tensions high to achieve their ultimate goal. To make the world bow to Islam and do what they want, making the “slandering” of Islam unlawful across the globe.
Cited as the Pentagon’s leading expert on Islamic law, Stephen Coughlin also caught up with TheBlaze to talk about the “ten-year plan” that was drafted by Islamists in 2005 intended to make Islamic slander a crime — not just in Islamic countries, but across the globe.
“And now they are putting that into action,” he said pointedly.
Coughlin explained that there was never an “Arab Spring,” but rather, a “Salafist-Muslim Brotherhood takeover” in the Middle East and that accepting that fact is key to understanding Islamists’ strategy.
He asked for people think back to the disproportionate outrage that ensued in the Muslim community over the Pope’s 2009 comments about Islamic tyranny, and to the fist Quran burning in Florida led by pastor Terry Jones.
Both incidents, according to the attorney and scholar, were actually first reported on in the Muslim world not Western media. The goal, he claimed, was to “manufacture an event” with which to incite violence and ultimately “subordinate the U.S. First Amendment.“ It was engineered ”to get President Bush, Obama, whoever…to say ‘sorry.’” Thus the goal is to compel the West to blame the West for bringing violence upon itself.
He added that there is a “total lack of situational and strategic awareness” in U.S. government and that groups like the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and American Islamists are actively attempting to “get us to defeat ourselves.”
“We have allowed ourselves to be surrounded by Muslim Brotherhood front groups” in government who are even affecting the training of our officials. His advice to Romney or any lawmaker moving forward is simple: “Jihadists are fighting in accordance with Islamic law…when they say they are jihadists, [at least] pretend that they mean it.”
So where is our leader?

President Obama has authorized 193 drone strikes against terrorist targets in Pakistan alone since he took office—over 4 times as many as his predecessor authorized during his entire 2 terms of office. In addition, it’s known but not officially acknowledged that terrorists have been targeted and eliminated by drone strikes elsewhere. It’s theorized that the attack on the U.S. embassy in Libya was actually al Qaeda retaliation for the June drone strike that killed Abu Yahya Al-Libi, al Qaeda’s number 2 leader.
Does this sort of aggressively effective elimination of our enemies seem to you like appeasement?
What, exactly, would Mr. Romney do? I’m curious, because neither he nor his campaign have ever stated one specific. Showing resolve is B.S. You’ve got to express your resolve in some concrete fashion. It’s my opinion that drone strikes are pretty damn concrete. They’re as concrete as hitting your enemy in the head with a brick.
Accusations of appeasement are ludicrous. What the right refuses to acknowledge is that there are two fronts to the war. One is military, and one is political. Both have to be successfully pursued. You don’t win on the political front by declaring your hostilities toward the entire Islamic world.
It would be intereting to imagine, if far fetched, the existence of a Conservative site capable of promoting its philosophical virtues, rather than framing Conservatism’s very existence as merely an antidote to Obama. It’s really remarkable: could anyone who came to this site to learn more about Conservatism not be forgiven for thinking that it is nothing more than a synonym for “anti-Obama”? There is nothing else here.

And I would let those Islamic nations know that from this day forward, our soldiers will carry ammunition that has been covered in pigs blood. Attacking the President in middle of an international crisis is not a winning strategy. Whoever thought that it was doesn’t have a clue.
Any candidate going along with such an attack isn’t fit to be a president. Such a candidate will have betrayed the office before even getting there.
Progressive hubris, led by this White House, charges forward, headlong into a tough world it is ignorant of, believing in its own ability to “convince, cajole, persuade” with intellectually charged toothsome smiles, and back-slaps, . . . . and the result is the disaster we are witnessing this week in the Middle East.
When Obama told Boehner, “I can sway the American people” he actually believed he could also sway the rest of the 7 billion people, particularly in the Middle East, through a speech in Cairo.

I know what sort of resolve President Obama has been showing. I know the results. There’s a long list of high-value enemy leaders that have ceased to exist.
I have yet to hear a single specific detail about what Mitt Romney would do.
There’s nothing whatsoever to make me think that the man wouldn’t immediately be in over his head. For all I know, he may honestly believe that being an effective wartime president has something in common with operating an investment company.
Ummmm greg, how does drone strikes have anything to do with what happened in regards to our murdered embassy people?
The facts are these:
They had ample warning.
They did NOTHING.
That is squarely on obama and his people.
I’ve yet to see any evidence at all that that assertion originated anywhere other than in someone’s imagination. So far as I can tell, it’s nothing more than a rumor someone started with the intention of damaging the Obama administration.
If anyone actually had such evidence, or a credible source for the statement, it would be put out there for all to see.

Spreading damaging lies like this goes beyond a matter of simply expressing critical opinions. In an earlier era, doing this sort of crap during wartime might have raised more than a few eyebrows, and they wouldn’t all be on one side of a political divide. Now the people who do it think of themselves off as patriots.
At this point, of course, you’ll likely fall back on that old standby whine, “but you did it to Bush!” Bullshit. Nothing on this scale was ever done to Bush–most definitely never during a dangerous moment of international crisis.
