Democrat National Convention Preview: Death, taxes, & radical Islam [Reader Post]

The coming Democrat National Convention ought to be one to remember. Democrats are going to highlight the things that matter to them the most.

From Rush via the Daily Caller

Rush Limbaugh noted during his Thursday broadcast that the Democratic Party has planned an agenda filled with female speakers for its upcoming national convention, and explained that it appears the party will turn the event into “a celebration of abortion” and contraception.

The Democrats’ move comes in the wake of embattled Missouri Republican Rep. Todd Akin’s ill-advised remarks about abortion and “legitimate rape.”

“The Democrats are actually going to turn their convention into a celebration of abortion,” Limbaugh said. “They think that they’re on to something so powerful and so big here. They think the social issues are death for the Republicans and they think that this is a godsend.”

“And it’s going to be woman after woman after woman, and it’s going to be, ‘Abortion, abortion, abortion! Contraception, contraception, contracep — !’ It is going to be the Democrat Party’s 30-year-old playbook every night at their convention.”

And in a play on the saying “nothing is certain but death and taxes,” Limbaugh called this theme out of the Democrats proof that they have become “the party of death and taxes,” since the party has also been aggressively pursuing 10 years of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s tax returns.

“So this, as far as I’m concerned — if they follow through with this — will officially make them the party of death and taxes. I mean, they’re trotting every woman they can find out,” Limbaugh continued. “And then Barbara Boxer, saying that Todd Akin is just a symptom of the disease that is the Republican Party — that his comments are typical of a mind-set that pervades and perverts the entire Republican Party? We’ll see. But if you wanted proof that they are the party of death and taxes, this is it: They’re turn[ing] their whole convention over to this. Should be interesting.”

At the convention Democrats will be promoting radical Islam. From Redstate:

Starting at the end of this month the Democratic National Convention will open with a focus on Islam. 20,000 Muslims are expected to attend according to the Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs (BIMA), the national Muslim American non-profit coordinating the two days of events they claim are non-political. ”Jumah at the DNC” begins August 29 and will start with a Friday afternoon jummah prayer followed by other unnamed programs and events, leading up to the Islamic Regal Banquet. The following day will be an all day Islamic Cultural and Fun Fest which will include discussions on the topics of Islamaphobia, Anti-Shariah, Middle Eastern Crisis, Patriot Act, National Defense Authorization Act and more. The purpose, according to BIMA, is to attract national and international attention to the plight of American Muslims and to hold political parties accountable for issues that affect them. However, not all Muslims feel that BIMA represents them and M. Zuhdi Jasser M.D., Founder and President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy, has expressed serious concerns.

It is troubling that the Democratic National Convention has decided to promote and lend its name and national political platform to the organizers of the “Jummah at the DNC”. The leaders of this event – Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj as advertised are no moderates. They are radicals. These individuals embrace Islamist supremacy and have demonstrated support for radical ideologies.

A quick Google search by the DNC would have shown them that Hough and Wahhaj are leaders in the separatist American Islamist movement. While they may be able to get a few thousand Muslims to attend the event, they are NOT going to be mainstream Muslims. Most will likely come from Hough and Wahhaj’s radical networks that have long been entrenched in the Charlotte area. Make no mistake they are part of the Islamist movement.

This is not about their right of assembly; this group under a different name pulled the same stunt at the US capitol in 2009 claiming 20k and getting 2-3k. THIS IS ABOUT the DNC calling this an “official function” listing these radicals as typical of the DNC community and more importantly about this organization speaking out AS representing supposedly typical American Muslims (or “Mainstream”).

If that is who the DNC is consorting with then all Americans, Democrats should be concerned. There are many patriotic Muslims who are part of both parties, and when radical ideologues like this do a demonstration of “solidarity” in the name of our faith and choose an imam like Siraj Wahhaj who I saw with my own eyes in 1995 seditiously say it his duty and our duty as Muslims to replace the US Constitution with the Quran- then we need to speak up!

And perhaps Rep. Kerry Gauthier D-MN will be a keynote speaker:

Police reports indicate 56-year old Gauthier was engaged in a sexual act with a 17 year old whom he met through the internet website Craigslist on the night of July 22nd.

The report states both parties have told police that the sex “was” consensual and that no money was exchanged.

Yep, democrats will be all over the issues that concern America the most.

Will the Muslims be promoting abortion, contraception, and the empowerment of women?

I thought these ideas were in contradiction to the teachings of the prophet. Oh well, if the Muslims gain control and institute Sharia, it won’t take long to get rid of these silly ideas. After all, with Sharia Law, a rape must be witnessed by four Muslim men to be legitimate. Perhaps Akin is a Muslim.

Can someone clarify these contradictions for me; for it seems the Liberal Progressive women have either been hit with the stupid stick or the Muslims are playing a dirty trick, maybe it is both.

@Skookum:
Have you seen the story at PJ Media about the 1001 Muslim inventions?
http://pjmedia.com/blog/1001-pieces-of-islamist-propaganda-fabricated-exhibit-comes-to-d-c/?singlepage=true

You hit it on the head: the Muslims are playing a dirty trick.
Or, in case of the ”inventions,” 1001 of them.
Aiming thier exhibition at America’s most impressionable, our 5-12 year olds, we ”learn” that a guy who covered himself with feathers, jumped off a Mosque’s mineret and LIVED, was ”the first man to fly,” a full 1,000 years before the Wright Brothers built a plane.

They ”invented” the camera, too…..but apparently never used it.
Instead of explaining how enslaved Indian thinkers introduced Islam to the concept of ZERO the exhibit claims Muslims ”invented” ZERO.

And Muslims were leaders in medicine???
Well, they enslaved Christians and some of those Christians wrote medical treatise translated into Arabic, opened hospitals in the center of the Caliphate, even set up medical schools in Persia.

I remember reading an old history book from the UK.
It was filled with first-hand accounts, letters and news articles and sermons from the era.
One British expert was hired to build a Mosque.
He didn’t want to do it wrong so he asked Muslim professors and construction planners to design the dome.
Not one of them knew how.
They always had Byzantine slaves do that for them.
And the dome is the hallmark of Islamic design!
The Brit had to do it himself.

@Nan G:

Kind of reminds me of the story about Kim Jong-un in North Korea during the Olympics telling his people that their countrymen had won all of the gold medals available to win. Or that his first game of golf featured a hole-in-one on the first hole, and 9 overall in the round.

Kim Jong-un is probably just trying to protect the purity of North Korean culture from insidious western influences that have corrupted the south. (You might want to hold off sipping any beverages until the video is over. There could be a spewing or choking hazard.)

You left out the systematic oppression of women at the Democratic Convention.
1) no breast feeding allowed.
2) no children allowed.
3) no child care provided.
4) 40,000,000 future Democrats aborted. This is why they need the illegal vote. This is also why the military vote needs to savagely repressed. Those who fight for our freedoms cannot be trusted to vote for Obama.
5) I believe no pro-life delegates will be allowed.
6) All abortions, all the time. I wonder if it is a prerequisite for a female delegate to have had an abortion. Someone should check in to this.

@Nan G:

These Muslims propagandists are trying to ride on the coattails of the notable advances of their ancients.

This Follows right in line with Bill Clinton’s commercial, advising that voter’s should support Obama because of what happened during Clinton’s administration. (???)

I.e. “Don’t look at what we’ve done recently, look at what we did back then.”

I heard on the radio while traveling, the concerns about Huma Abedin are well founded according to a former PLO member who has opened several cans of beans. Man this would be right up your alley. I will be driving all night or I would love to dig up more dirt on Hillary’s girl friend.

@Skookum: Liberal progressive dingbat women — have the stupid stick all over them —

Oh boy! Oh boy! Let us just keep our fingers crossed and pray that the Dems do indeed go full retard over abortion, contraception, Romney’s taxes and Islam! That they fill the stage with feminist crones, Whitey haters and bearded Islamists.

Anything but jobs and the economy…that is, unless they have the chutzpah to proclaim that things are actually going great and that Happy Days Are Here Again and that it’s STILL all Bush’s fault. Of course, that would go over even better with the general public.

It’s gonna be the Paul Wellstone memorial bund rally all over again. I can’t wait.

It is possible for an individual to deny the existence of the present and chose to live in a past.

It is not possible to deny the continum that every one is engaged within… despite other varying opine.

One can freeze in the seventies forever if one desires such. One can not freeze the next second… or avoid its inevitable potentially.

God built that.

All females are by their inherent survival mechanics necessarily progressive… none of us would be here now if this trait was not dominant.

Males would have beat each other to death with stiks fighting each other over pu$$y before we invented plumbing and sanitation.

Some people really love Mark Steyn.
However you feel, he has a way with words that beats Obama’s ”oratory” from here to next Sunday.
He ends this week’s essay, The War on Children :

If all those debt graphs showing how we’ve looted our future to bribe the present are too complicated for you, look out the window: We are our own walking (or waddling) metaphor for consumption unmoored from production.
And, to the Chinese and many others around the world pondering whether America has the self-discipline to get its house in order, a trip to the mall provides its own answer.

So we can’t fight a war in Afghanistan, but we can fight a “war on women” that only exists in upscale liberal feminists’ heads.
We can’t do anything about exploding rates of childhood obesity, diabetes, and heart disease, but, if you define “health care” as forcing a Catholic institution to buy $8 contraception for the scions of wealth and privilege, we’re right on top of it.
And above all, we’re doing it for the children, if by “doing it” you mean leaving them with a transgenerational bill unknown to human history — or engaging in what Boston University’s Larry Kotlikoff, speaking at the International Institute of Public Finance in Dresden last week, called “child fiscal abuse.”

If that sounds a trifle overheated, how about . . . hmm, “legitimate fiscal rape”?
No?
Then let’s call it a “war on children.”
Unlike the “war on women,” it’s real.

…..“legitimate fiscal rape”….
Seems Todd Akin is more the face of the DEMOCRAT party than he is of the Republican party!

Nan.

Steyn is a first order pontificate. Until he gets killed or fired… he gets it.

The measure of a man is judged in the balance between the numbers who love or hate his person.

It is possible that the successful man does not give a $hit.

But you forgot the ridiculous claims of Akin—which started out this article with a quote from the drugster, Rush Limbaugh, which over looked Akin”s main point—that the woman’s reproductive system makes certain adjustments to prevent pregnancy during legitimate rape. This idea is as Medieval as the belief in humunculus—the belief that semen is composed of little people that are placed in the woman to be baked, like a pie—notice how many men use this analogy (“one in the oven”)—I’m sure many conservatives still believe this theory, as they continue to believe Akin’s assertion.

Rush says “Rep. Akins ill advised remarks.” Geez ya think Rush? That’s pretty strong.
