Executive Order — White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans
I am coming back to the President’s EO (Executive Order) as it bothers me. It bothers me on a number of levels. First I think he is missing the point entirely. Second, we as a nation, are abandoning entire segments of our population and creating a sub-culture of despair. Third, we as a nation are accepting the downfall of the family as the root of our strength as a nation.
First the President’s EO. At least he sees there is a problem and wants to do something. He is trying. But as a Liberal, he only sees the Government as the solution. His solution will go nowhere, and in fact is likely to worsen the problem.

We should all be ashamed of what this graph tells us. And Blacks, wake up! This is a problem you cannot ignore. Address the problem in your churches and communities. And before anyone calls me on it, I am not being racist here. These are just statistics. The problem with African-Americans and education is not in the education; it is the lack of a normal family unit!
And you Whites, what is going on with you? In 1960 the rate was something like 4%. Now it is 29%! That’s a downfall in our families of 625%!
Second, back to the Blacks, all of us, White, Black, Hispanics, we are accepting the rise of a sub-culture based on families without fathers. Then we compound the problem by encouraging same-sex marriages. Our heterosexual families are falling apart; and now we add same sex to the mix? I can only guess at the rate of same sex marriage failures, but it is likely higher than the heteros.
Third, the family unit is what has made the USA the greatest nation the earth has ever seen. Sorry, Mr. President, the GREATEST!
The Liberal Left is setting forth on a course that will further deteriorate the family unit in our nation. We must stop it.
The Romans were the greatest empire in their time; they collapsed mostly from internal decay. The USA is quickly approaching that same fate, led happily along the garden path by the socialist leanings of the Leftist Liberals in our Government.
We must diminish their influence and the best way to do that is to implement TERM LIMITS.

Biography of I.B. Wright
Ignatius Ben Wright, born in England to an American GI and a lovely British lass, a true War Baby born before the end of WWII. He left his homeland for the USA as an infant at the end of the war. He grew up in western Pennsylvania, spending his childhood between the city of his parents and the farm of his grandparents. With much of his childhood spent on a small working farm, I.B. understands the work ethic of Middle America well.
Educated in public schools I.B. knew from childhood he would attend college. He first went to Slippery Rock State College, (now University). After a stint in the USAF where he was stationed in Alaska and Texas he returned to Ohio and earned his BS from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. Immediately thereafter he began his career in hospital administration. While working he attended Central Michigan University and earned his MA in business management.
He then moved his family, wife and two sons, to Saudi Arabia where he began what was to become a career in international healthcare management and business consulting. After 25+ years abroad, his wife now forgives him as initially the overseas junket was to be only two years. They have lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Pakistan, the Philippines, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Maine, and Alaska.
I.B. has returned to the USA and now spends his time in consulting, reading, writing, photography, US travel, and with his grandchildren. He describes himself as being a God-fearing American conservative with enough brains to get past the media labels on issues.
Of obama needs proof that affirmative action is a failure, he need only to look into a mirror.
This is not affirmative action, it is racist racial preference. It only aids African American children who are slipping in school. What about Hispanics, Asians, Caucasian and Native American children? How would it sell if a Caucasian president issued a similar initiative that changed education rules to specifically aid and favor only Caucasian students?
In 1935 when FDR created Aid to Dependent Children (later Aid to Families with Dependent Children) as part of the Social Security Act, the program provided a subsidy to families with fathers who were deceased, absent, or unable to work. The rest is history.
I question whether “the family unit is what has made the USA the greatest nation the earth has ever seen”, rather than economic happen-stance.
@Liberal1 (objectivity): I question your sanity with such a stupid statement. No wonder you support animals marrying people, or any other arrangment.
I’m not going to link to proof, but whole families, with a father in them, inevitably do better financially for their children.
That means better food, education, housing.
It means better supervision and sheparding of those children through formative years, fewer run-ins with the criminal justice system.
All that is no guarantee the children will turn out better, but it does give the children of whole families a big leg up on those from partial families.
Children from partial families might also turn out very well.
But it is more rare and an exception rather than a rule.
No wonder Obama wants Asian students and white students expelled in equal number to black students.
That policy will mean we all come down to whatever level the teachers want in their classrooms.
So, if the teacher is stupid or incompetent they cam keep ALL the bad students in class, blaming them and ”equality of punishment” for the class’s bad scores.
If the teacher is terrific, he/she cannot keep the good students in and the bad students out!
It must all be done ”equally.”
If a black student is kicked out, so, too, must be a white one and an Asian one!
Clearly Obama has never learned the law of unintended consequences.
He would rather make criminals of us all than see bad students alone pay for their own actions.
Please excuse me for daring to dwell on sordid facts.
The Grand Dream of the Democrats is a permanent elected ruling class (think of the PRI in Mexico, which ruled for 70 years). FDR put together what he thought would be a permanent majority, by cobbling together a collection of identifiable groups, each one of which could be bought off with special exemptions.
This endured for 40 years. The gas began to run out of this program as demographic changes came to pass in the United States.
So the Democrats came up with a new scheme: unwed mothers. Aid to Families with Dependent Children was invented, because of (oh, horror) children of unwed mothers going hungry. Well, what you subsidize, you get more of. That is the fundamental rule of government. So by taking care of the children we got more unwed mothers. Why should a mother depend on an uncertain male, when Uncle Sam would give a monthly check? And this is now the one essential part of the Democrat permanent majority. Unwed mothers dare not vote Republican, because they run the risk of losing that Government check.
The graph is no accident. It is by design. It is reminiscent of Marion Barry’s District of Columbia, where he figured that if a plurality of the City was part of his administration, he could never be defeated.
So we have a tyranny of the majority: women who have children by successive fathers, said fathers forced to abandon their children to a government check. And they all vote Democratic. Mothers get a free ride, fathers get to have sex as often as they want to, and everybody wins.
It is just sick, all the way around.
The family was the fundamental organizatonal unit of America until the 1960’s, when the individual adult gained ascendancy and became supreme in the 1970s when sex outside marriage, drugs, abortion and divorce became legal. It’s all about one person’s instant gratification, never about shared sacrifice anymore. That model didn’t work historically and can’t last more than another few generations. Families will be back, but we’ll all go through Hell to get there.
