Obama’s racist!
No, really!
Obama wore Colonial get-up and marched with a Gadsen Flag, Don’t Tread On Me.
Later he called people who made a big thing of the tea party ”teabaggers.”*

*In Jonathan Alter’s “The Promise: President Obama, Year One,” President Obama is quoted in an November 30, 2009, interview saying that the unanimous vote of House Republicans vote against the stimulus bills “set the tenor for the whole year … That helped to create the tea-baggers and empowered that whole wing of the Republican Party to where it now controls the agenda for the Republicans.”

So.. what happened to his mother anyway? How come he was raised by his grandmother? Are Americans really still racist against half-breeds? Why do I ask; I recently went out with a happy couple who are black and white and they related that folks were giving them ‘the look’ which I could not perceive but took their word for it. Lots of pretty light brown babies (with natural sun protection) are being born every day; are they all as little brown baby Barack was (as a Black baby) or are they all a mix of cultures destined to ameliorate the human condition. It was in O’Bamas character to use the black side of his browness to advance His welfare; we hope others of mixed heritage will embrace their combinations in the spirit of advancing the welfare of all. O’Bama is incompetent and dangerous both having nothing to do with the color of his skin. (But perhaps the thiness)

“Negro Fatigue” is setting in.

Here we go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@CharlieGee:
Charlie, we only have Obama and his own family’s accounts to go by BUT….with that large grain of salt….
Obama’s mom was an ”anthropologist.”
As such she desired to study people and places other than her own family.
She traveled to punch up her education as well as to meet other people.
According to one family member she also traveled away from Hawaii to get away from Obama’s dad who was there when he was a baby.
Obama’s grandparents raised him because his dad wouldn’t and his mom left him.
Nowadays, here in CA, it is so common to see grandparents raising a child that I’ve stopped asking if they got a late start.

@Nan G:

“Obama’s grandparents raised him because his dad wouln’t and his mom left dumped him.”

There, I fixed that for you, Nan.

My first though after reading this was “what is this ‘strange’ mentality of these very people?” These people are so very very very out of touch with the mainstream of America…

Half the country is hanging off a cliff in LARGE part because of this Administration and the way it is RUNNING Ruining this country….and I blame many Americans who want to bleed our Government and the Government who allows…yes, allows this to happen…ever hear of ‘tough love’??…well, it is needed in this country…desperately!!!

So, what? – the ‘bain game’ isn’t working?? So we are going to fall back on the Race Card?!?…this is seriously getting old – OLD!!! These people [Democrats/Liberals/Lefties] are so hung up on race it is ridiculous…

The problem with these people [Barry/Dems/Libs/Progs] is they UNDERESTIMATED the American People…

There are a hell of a lot more “Smart/Intelligent” Americans who actually Love their country and enjoy their way of life…without “Barry’s Need” to “Fundamentally transform it”….and Americans are keenly aware of this….Whatever mush Barry has made of America so far….Americans absolutely REJECT it!!!….THAT is what these votes are all about…

Let’s see. He had a super majority in both Houses. In the off year election his party got creamed and lost control of one House by a substantial majority and would have lost the other had more senators been up for re-election. Every single dem that lost that year was black and every dem that won was white, Hispanic, or another race/ethnic group. Yep. Sounds like racism to me and not a rejection of his left wing politics.

@Nan G:

The Gadsden Flag was being flown by hippies and Deadheads long before the Tea Partiers came along. The motto was even quoted in “Uncle John’s Band”, way back in 1969:

Goddamn, well I declare
Have you seen the like?
Their walls are built of cannonballs,
their motto is Don’t Tread on Me
Come hear Uncle John’s Band
by the riverside
Got some things to talk about
here beside the rising tide. . .

The Annotated “Uncle John’s Band”

I used to see the Gadsden flag flying at Dead concerts. It turned up at NORML events. Recently it’s been carried by Occupy protesters.

It was long being flown before hippies and dead heads came along…

@another vet: From one Vet to another, it was Bush’s fault!! Thanks for your service!!

@Greg:

Well, thanks for that bit of deadhead history, Greg.
But Obama donned Colonial clothing and marched with a Gadsen Flag for a July 4th parade!
He used such things to pass himself off as patriotic.
This was years before he called wearing a flag pin a ”substitute for patriotism,”1 and stood with his hands guarding his crotch during the Flag Salute.2

1. The Political Mind: Obama denounces flag-pin patriotism

2. Obama not saluting flag

I would hire a black engineer who was productive and an ace in fluid dynamics.
I would promote an Allen West who is a patriot, a leader, and a trainer of men.
I would fire a Barrack Obama who as a community organizer would scam the system and promote welfare.

@Nan G, #12:

The writer of the Politico opinion piece slips in statements that are simply not supported by any evidence. For example:

“Americans are among the world’s most patriotic people, but they are not great supporters of the “my country right or wrong” patriotic premise. In national surveys, they are justifiably proud of this country’s scientific, political and economic achievements, but notably less so when it comes to our Social Security system and our fair and equal treatment of all groups in society.”

Say what? Public opinion polls have repeatedly revealed strong support for the Social Security system across party lines. Consider Table 1 that appears here, for example.

The GOP seems to have been blinded to that reality by the noise on the far right. If they regain majority control of the Senate and/or the White House, and act on the assumption that a majority of American voters want fundamental changes in Social Security, their comeback will probably be the shortest-lived in U.S. history. The backlash might finish the GOP off entirely.

@Common Sense: Good point. I don’t know how I could have overlooked that angle given its prominence on the left. Thanks for your service as well. I’ll be busy looking through some old emails for stuff to post on Monday’s Memorial Day tribute thread.

Gee those silly voters must be clinging to their guns and religion…

@CharlieGee: #2
For many years I have wondered why anyone with a percentage of black in them, choose to be called blacks. I dream of the day when the “Race” box is eliminated, and you only have to put down “American” or “Illegal.”

@Keyser Söze: #3
The blacks should get together through their organizations and come up with a name for their race that they would be content with. I can see why they don’t care for the ones from the past.

African-American is not a race. That is dual citizenship. If we call them African-american, then everyone with foreign ancestry should have their origin country in front of American. Since I have so many nationalities in me, I guess that would make me Mutt-American.

Say the defenders of the man who spent twenty frickin years in the front row of the Church of Kill Whitey Now Cause White Folk’s Greed Runs a World in Need.

Yup….you guessed it, they are all racist

I admit I am a racist. I hate people who take too much of my money and spend it on things THEY want. I hate the president and congress for spending more money than my great-great grandkids can pay off.

It would be interesting to compare the percentages for and against Obama to the listenership of shows like Rush and Fox News. I’m going to take a guess that as Rush’s and Fox News’ listenership goes up, Obama’s ratings go down. The liberals look at an educated public as their enemy.

@Greg: The Democratic Party looked “dead” before the raising of a $750 million demagogue in 2008. The GOP finished off? Why, because we have a Dem pres. and Dem controlled media? Sorry, but the House has done a good job of inhibiting the stupidity of the president and his corporate masters. The Democratic Party is the weaker of the two by far. I’d worry more about the backlash against them.

It’s not the color of his skin, it’s the color of heart.

Smorg In one breath you tout yourself an indie, free thinker, beholden to no one.
Then you praise Fox and Rush,mouthpieces of the political right.
Don’t think you can have it both ways.

Semper Fi

In Oklahoma and Kentucky the Democratic Party barely exists. Redneck hilbillies many who ARE racists–and PROUD of it. Their home.

@Greg:
The whole, ”my country right or wrong,” concept is for fools.
My favorite memory of this was a rapist who was saluting the flag just as he was being arrested.

A bi-partisan commission, Simpson/Bowles, (sp???) was pushing for Social Security Reform.
Bush pushed for it but had a Dem House and Senate which would not act.
Paul Ryan is pushing for reform HOWEVER he protects those in retirement or near it, only changing things for those who are young enough to make needed adjustments.

Are liberals opposed to reforming a failing system?

@Richard Wheeler: You said:

Redneck hilbillies many who ARE racists–and PROUD of it. Their home.

That’s what we all love about you, Rich. Your amazing capacity for tolerance…

/sarcasm off

@Richard Wheeler: #23

Don’t think you can have it both ways.

In a free society, I can have it both ways. I can think for myself AND compliment anybody I want to. I can also condemn anybody I want. In the society you want, you must obey your king’s every command.

Your king told you:
(1) Don’t listen to Rush Limbaugh. (His listenership went way up)
(2) Don’t listen to Fox New. (Their viewership went way up. They usually have the top 10-15 news type shows)
(3) Don’t get your information off of electronic devices. (You’re not supposed to be on web sites like Flopping Aces. You are disobeying your king’s orders. That makes you a Tea Partier. You want the right to go to ANY web sight you want. How dare you turn conservative on your king! Get your priorities right!)

Rich, you are clearly not from the Mid-West so I’ll give you this one warning:

Do not call us Hillbilles. We are not from the, “Hills” given the fact there are no Mountains around here given the nearest Moutains are in Colorado. Do not call any of us Stupid, many of your Tech firm solutions and ISP communication hubs are operated out in the Midwest areas you just insulted. Do not call us racists, Many of the people who live out here have family ancestors who fought for and defended the Underground Railroad up to the Bleeding Kansas event that preluded the Civil War. Democrats in the 1800’s were your Racists who sought to reinforce their control of their Right to Slave holding, so please get your history right. Texas was sadly controled by Democrats during the Civil War and joined the Confederacy.

And thank you for showing your grand levels of liberal intollerance around here.

Mr. Irons
of course they are the racist one, they keep talking about it every time they are confronted for their mistakes they cannot admit being wrong, so their favorite quote in the 2008 election was the racist card PLUS THE HATE BUSH CARD
they planted in the mind of unaware citizens, like a program to influence the mind of the crowd and fed by the MEDIA SELLING PITCH WITH A TINGLE IN THEIR LEGS,
and the proof they are the racist one, is that , OBAMA WAS ELECTED WITH ONLY
HIS BLACK COLOR SHOWING HIS PROFILE, NOT EVEN HIS BIRTH CERTIFICATE KNOWN TO PROVE HIS ILLEGIBILITY TO DESERVE TO RUN FOR AMERICA HIGHEST OFFICE TO SERVE THE PEOPLE,
HE NOW ACCUSE THE PEOPLE TO BE RACIST AFTER THEY ELECTED HIM, BUT ARE POINTING OUT HIS MISTAKES NOW AFTER WAITING THESE YEARS FOR WHAT HE PROMISES, AND STILL PROMISES
SO AGAIN TO COVER HIS FAILED ABILITY TO SERVE ALL PEOPLE, PROTECT AMERICA,
AND HELP THE BUSYNESS CREATE JOBS INSTEAD OF CRUCIFY THEM WITH MULTI THOUSANDS PAGES OF ENTITELMENT LAWS,
DEFINITLY IT’S CLEAR THE WHITES where never the racists, all theses years they endure to give him a chance to do what is demanded of him, that is serve the AMERICANS, OF ALL COLORS.
NOW THE RECKONING TIME IS AT THE DOOR FOR HIS TERM.

@Richard Wheeler:

Well Richard I can tell that you have never lived in nor visited KY. 90% of the elected officials in KY are Dems. McConnell is one of the few good senators to come from KY but he is countered by a pot smoking Left Liberal in the form of Jon Yarmouth. I myself have lived here my entire life and can’t understand why people keep voting in worthless Liberals who have been spending our state into a hole every ten years and then they wake up and vote a Republican in every 12 to pay the bills and get us back in line.

@Aleric:
Rich is the atypical CA leftist. No surprise he would spout the party line on KY.

@Aleric:

McConnell is one of the few good senators to come from KY but he is countered by a pot smoking Left Liberal in the form of Jon Yarmouth.

You could always move to Indiana. Of course Mitch Daniels, our current republican governor, is a former drug dealer. Unless the two size 12 shoe boxes filled with marijuana, the LSD, and the prescription drugs for which there were no prescriptions were strictly for personal use.

Somebody got ahold of Obama’s old HS yearbook.
Talk about drugs!
All Obama cared about was drugs, dealers and gangs.
Why didn’t we know this before 2008’s election?

Excerpts from David Maraniss’ Barack Obama:

When you were with Obama, if you exhaled precious pakalolo (Hawaiian slang for marijuana, meaning “numbing tobacco”) instead of absorbing it fully into your lungs, you were assessed a penalty and your turn was skipped the next time the joint came around.

Obama also had a knack for interceptions. When a joint was making the rounds, he often elbowed his way in, out of turn, shouted “Intercepted!,” and took an extra hit.

In the [senior] yearbook, Punahou School in Honolulu students were given a block of space to express thanks and define their high school experience. … Nestled below [Obama’s] photographs was one odd line of gratitude: “Thanks Tut, Gramps, Choom Gang, and Ray for all the good times.”

(So who were these guys, I ask. No thanks to mom or gramma, I note.)

The Choom Gang were a self-selected group of boys at Punahou School who loved basketball and good times called themselves the Choom Gang. Choom is a verb, meaning “to smoke marijuana.”

Ray was their main man, their drug dealer.
He worked at the Mama Mia Pizza Parlor not far from Punahou and lived in a dilapidated bus in an abandoned warehouse.
Ray the dealer was “freakin’ scary.”
Many years later they learned that he had been killed with a ball-peen hammer by a scorned gay lover.

Nan G.
YOU ALWAYS FIND THE LOST BIRD NEST, FABULOUS,
THIS GUY WAS NOT SUPPOSE TO GET ELECTED ON THIS HIGHEST POSITION OF THE GREATEST NATION
WHAT A MISTAKE SO TRAGIC, FOR AMERICA, THE MORE WE LEARN, AND LEARN
AFTER THE WRONG IS DONE,
THANK YOU FOR FINDING THAT, I hope it is read in all the SCHOOLS and HIGH SCHOOLS and THE UNIVERSITIES of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR ALL STUDENTS TO READ AND JUDGE THE
AMOUNT OF TIME IT TOOK TO REGRESS AMERICA BACK INTO DESTRUCTION BY A WORSE HATER THE WORLD HAVE ENCOUNTER ALONG WITH
HIS FAITHFUL OBEDIENT FOLLOWERS

Hard Right#31 Do you even know what atypical means?
Aleric Both U.S Senators from Ky.are Repubs.. How many Dem. Senators have you had in last 50 years. How many Repubs?

Mr. Irons. I don’t consider Oklahoma,Kentucky and Arkansas the Midwest. Do You?
Anticsrocks You are correct. I am ABSOLUTEY intollerant of racists.

@Richard Wheeler: Oh, then I guess that’s why you just painted an entire portion of the country as racist when you said:

You are correct. I am ABSOLUTEY intollerant of racists.

Besides misspelling ‘intolerant,’ you showed how actually intolerant you are when you first said:

Redneck hilbillies many who ARE racists–and PROUD of it. Their home.

Again, your tolerance is overwhelming.

Rich are you really this daft and stupid?

The Mid-west is composed of Kansas, Nebraska, et all that sits within the Great Plains geological area. Really now you’re just being a fool.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midwestern_United_States

Then again I guess you failed your Geology classes if you can’t figure out Kansas is part of the Mid-West.

@Greg:

Oh so now you have issues with drug useage? I do not care for Mitch nor like his politics but the people knowingly voted him in even after his previous history:

http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/2011/02/24/27723/

So now after trying to argue for drug consumption, you’re against it when a Republican back in the 71’s in his more liberal youthful years got caught breaking the law? How much more of a flake of an intellectual can you get?

@Nan G: Was that before he pretended he was born in Kenya to get a scholarship and sell books? Maybe that was after he started visiting the remains of soldiers returning from the middle east. Wait, that may have been just before he outed the Seal Team 6. I do not remember when. Things have been so confusing the past 3 plus years. It must be Bush’s fault!

Mr Irons You’d be the fool to suggest Arkansas or Kentucky as Midwest rather than Southern. Oklahoma I’d suggest is Southwest. Agree Kansas is Midwest and never suggested otherwise. Thank you for CONFRMING what I said with YOUR Wiki search,

Anticsrocks My declararation was there are many, though certainly not close to a majority, in the South and Oklahoma that are racists. The number is thankfully decreasing as the old diehards die off. Thanks for correction on intolerant.

@Richard Wheeler: Classifying an area based on geographical location is open to interpretation. If you were to look at five different books on the geography of the U.S., you would probably have five different geographical breakdowns of the country. Kentucky is considered by some to be part of the Midwest. Others consider it part of Appalachia. During the Civil War it was considered a border state. Oklahoma is considered part of the Southwest by some, but others consider it part of the Great Plains/Prarie region. Some consider the Dakotas, Nebraska, and Kansas to be part of the Midwest, others would lump those states in with the Great Plains/Prarie region as well.

The main implication/insinuation here is that the people who didn’t vote for Obama are racists as are Republicans and that Democrats can’t be racists. An old and tired argument that won’t get as much mileage as it did in 2008. As previously stated, I live in Illinois, one of the bluest of the blue states, and know plenty of card carrying dems who are some of the biggest racists of all. And not just towards blacks. You can throw Hispanics, Catholics, and Jews into the mix as well.

Another Vet I would never suggest racism does not exist throughout the country as well as on the internet. To deny it exists, or downplay it, is the mistake made by some.

@Richard Wheeler:And therein lies part of the problem. Whenever racism is talked about, it always conservatives, mainly white obviously, who are equated with it. No mention is made of any other group being racist. I worked for a company that was 80-90% minority with the two biggest groups being black and Hispanic with a sizable Fillipino presence as well. All of those groups were prejudice towards the others, with blacks being the least liked. Even amongst the Hispanics, the Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, and Cubans all had animosity towards one another with each group believing they were better. Even with the history of immigration in this country, it has been found that when a new group of immigrants comes to this country, the most prejudicial group towards them has been the last wave of immigrants.

@Richard Wheeler:

Why to be an idiot,. You really didn’t pay attention much to US Census data that I helped provide for you as even the US Census Data lists Nebraska and Kansas as Mid-West. And ontop of it you expressed your blanant racisim to Flopping Aces members right in front of us. Way to go, you win the cookie.

@Richard Wheeler: Well, I’ve got to hand it to you Rich. When you put your foot in your mouth, you bury it all the way to the knee.

I don’t care that you “declared” that “many,” but not a majority are racists. It is the disgusting way you worded your statement that pissed off quite a few folks here at FA. It’s a little late now to try and parse your words. What you said was as bigoted and small minded as the stereotype you sought to portray.

The best thing you could do is apologize and that is what I would expect a gentleman and veteran to do in this case.

Are you up to it? Going to take the high road and admit your mistake?

Mr Irons #44 Why do you continue to suggest I ever suggested Nebraska or Kansas were not in the Midwest? Learn to read and while you are at it learn to spell— blatant, racism.

Another Vet Agreed and thank you for recognizing the problems we have with racism exist throughout our society. If I made it seem the problem was ONLY in the South I apologize

@Richard Wheeler: Sigh…

And I had such high hopes that you would be a gentleman and a scholar and admit your mistake. Instead, we get a mealy mouthed, back-handed attempt to prop up your bigotry.

If I made it seem the problem was ONLY in the South I apologize

As long as folks like you continue to yell racism at the drop of every hat, then race relations in this country have even less of a chance of improving. And in your mind it is wrong for a “redneck hillbilly” to be racist, but it is perfectly okay for you to paint an entire segment of our country as bigots.

If you’re not part of the solution, then you’re part of the problem, Rich.

Anticsrocks We seem to have an honest disagreement. You seem to believe we should act as if racism doesn’t exist or is only a minor problem. I believe it is a major problem and should have light shone on it where it exists in hopes to bring it’s eradication sooner rather than later.

Semper Fi

Richard Wheeler
yes we saw racist when the TRAYVON COURT CASE CAME OUT,
THEY WHERE ON ZIMMERMAN DEMANDING LYNCH,
AND THAN SOME WENT TO ATTACKS WHITE A 6 TO ONE WHITE ,
AND AT 20 TO ONE COUPLE UNAWARE OF THOSE RACIST ATTACKS
AND OTHER OF THE SAME FOR TAYVON THEY SAID

@Richard Wheeler: Unfortunately, there is now, always has been, and always will be racism not just in this country, but all others as well. Even despite racial differences, people will always find a reason to not get along. Look at WWI and WWII in Europe. They had nothing to do with racism. It was whites killing whites. Look at the wars in Africa. It was blacks killing blacks. Asia. Orientals killing Orientals. Al Qaeda killed more Muslims than they did “infidels”. Closer to home in this country, most whites are killed by whites, most blacks are killed by blacks, and most Hispanics are killed by Hispanics. We as humans are messed up. Trying to place the blame on any one group doesn’t support reality. That’s why I prefer my dogs to most people. They like everyone. My house guns are loaded for people not animals.

another vet: That’s why I prefer my dogs to most people. They like everyone. My house guns are loaded for people not animals.

A man after my own heart.
