Obama Plays ‘The Politics Of Fear’ [Reader Post]

NO! It can’t be! President Barack Hussein Obama playing politics with Osama bin Laden’s death?

At the ABC News web site, “The Note,” Michael Falcone wrote, “But four years ago this April, the Obama campaign criticized Democratic rival Hillary Clinton for using Osama bin Laden in a political ad.” “The Obama campaign spokesman, Bill Burton, accused the Clinton team of playing ‘the politics of fear’ just like George W. Bush.” Can anyone say, “Hypocrisy?”

All you Obama Kool-Aid drinkers will want to watch this video that features the very objective Bill Clinton who turned down numerous chances to capture or kill bin Laden that were handed to him. Isn’t it ironic that the Obama campaign staff chose Clinton for this video? That is the same Clinton who, when he appeared on “Fox News Sunday” September 24, 2006, got into a rather animated discussion with host Chris Wallace. And that is the same Clinton that was defended by “Netroots,” a liberal web site that declared the ABC docudrama “The Path To 9/11″ as “a piece of fiction,” and that ABC’s airing it represents “gross negligence” since it didn’t cast its hero, Bill Clinton, in a very favorable light. There was, however, one small problem. None of the “Netroots” writers had seen the docudrama before writing about it. Further, Markos Moulitsas at “The Daily Kos,” posted an article entitled “ABC’s Work of Fiction” In it he wrote, “ABC’s piece of fiction, written by Rush Limbaugh’s personal friend and marketed heavily in wingnut circles, bills itself as ‘objective’ and a ‘docudrama’.”

Kenneth P. Vogel of “Politico,” wrote of Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs’ appearance on NBC’s “Meet The Press” on Sunday, April 29. 2012. Gibbs said, “Look, just a few years ago, President Obama – then a candidate – said in a speech that if we had actionable intelligence of a high-value target in Pakistan, we’d go in and get that high value target. Mitt Romney said that was foolish. He wouldn’t do such a thing. That he wouldn’t move heaven and earth to get Osama bin Laden.”

But… as Morgen Richmond at “Hot Air” writes, “The full context of Romney’s remarks demonstrate that he was actually calling for a more strategic and expansive approach in the fight against Al Qaeda and Islamic extremism.”

Obama and Democrats focus on one statement Romney made, taken out of context. But they forget (or don’t want to remember) what Romney said on the bin Laden subject in 2007. As SNL’s “Church Lady” used to say, “Isn’t that convenient.” This video provides a much more complete picture of Romney’s view of pursuing high value targets.

Further, Guy Benson wrote at “Townhall,” “…to blatantly harp on this point in an election season is decidedly unseemly; to suggest that your political opponent wouldn’t have made the exact same call borders on slander, especially if you dredge up an out-of-context quote to ‘prove’ the point.” Benson provides the full conversation between Liz Sidoti and Mitt Romney. Read it – you liberals may learn something. Benson continues, “In other words, Romney was all for nailing OBL, but he also knew that the effectiveness of an entire war effort can’t be graded on one narrow rubric. That’s common sense. The Obama campaign is trying to turn the sentiment above into ‘Mitt didn’t care about bin Laden and would’ve let him skate’.”

And now this from Senator John McCain (R-AZ): “Shame on Barack Obama for diminishing the memory of September 11th and the killing of Osama bin Laden by turning it into a cheap political attack ad. This is the same President who once criticized Hillary Clinton for invoking bin Laden ‘to score political points.’ This is the same President who said, after bin Laden was dead, that we shouldn’t ‘spike the ball’ after the touchdown. And now Barack Obama is not only trying to score political points by invoking Osama bin Laden, he is doing a shameless end-zone dance to help himself get reelected. No one disputes that the President deserves credit for ordering the raid, but to politicize it in this way is the height of hypocrisy.”

The problem is that none of the hard-core liberals/progressives/Democrats will do any research, will view anything that might upset their world, will believe the half-truths, lies, and taken from context statements provided by Obama and his campaign staff, and, based on that “information,” vote.

But that’s just my opinion.

Osama bin Ladin was going to be gotten while somebody was president.
It happened while Obama was president.
It did NOT happen BECAUSE Obama was president.
The shame of it is that it could have happened while Clinton was president…..but he was more interested in a boozing it up with a bosomy babe under a tent cover at a golf tourney.

Tara Servatius touches on a good reason Obama had to see bin Laden dead:
Obama was not going to allow braggart Osama spoil his plan to achieve Osama’s main goal of having radical Islamists to rise up and retake control of the Middle East from largely secular, American-backed leaders.

Damn if the world was going to learn that Obama and Osama were on the same page…..from Osama!
Right now, more because of Obama than Osama, a sizable chunk of Middle Eastern real estate is either in the hands of the Muslim Brotherhood and other like-minded groups or on the brink of falling into their hands.
Right now radical Islamists are on the brink of bringing the caliphate to life with Obama’s help.
Remember two years ago?
The Muslim Brotherhood of Egypt was banned from political life, much less the White House.
Now they come visit Obama there and leave with pockets full of riches.
As one country after another falls to radical Islam’s rulership Obama calls this horrible state of affairs ”legitimate Islamism!”

Gee, just think, with a worldwide caliphate coming soon, there’s no reason for Muslims to join al Qaeda!
That’s Obama’s thinking, anyway.

And what about the WAR ON WOMEN in these places, Obama?
What about the war on secularism?
The war on Christians?
The war on Jews?
The war on other sects of Islam, for that matter?
The war on dark-skinned people?
The war on blue-eyed people?

Osama, were he alive today, would parrot Obama: I won.

She writes a shocking conclusion:

Osama bin Laden’s dream, which he thought would take decades to achieve, is coming to life in a single term of Obama’s presidency.
Bin Laden’s Middle Eastern caliphate is rising.
Once united in Islam, the caliphate was supposed to turn outward, conquering the rest of the Earth for Allah.
No word yet on where Obama stands on that part of the plan.

The real winners of the Obama presidency… Muslim Brotherhood. Has any other group made out better?

Obama is speaking now.
Apparently the taliban is also going to be another big winner.
As long as the taliban does not break Afghani law (SHARIA) they are Obama’s best new buddies!
So, ladies of Afghanistan, back to your stoves and beds.
No need for school or jobs.
Your owners, your dad then your husband will do whatever they wish to you.

Afghans need to sort out the problems of Afghan women. Here at home, we’ve got to focus on keeping our own local conservative from rolling back the rights of American women.

Look at it this way… Obama ain’t got much to crow about. It’s a bit early in the election to cash in the chits for UBL, but it’s because it’s May Day. No doubt it will be shelved until Sept 11th comes around, then brought back out to parade around once more.

@Jason:

Here at home, we’ve got to focus on keeping our own local conservative liberal fascists from rolling back the rights of Americans women.

Fixed it so it reflects reality.
