Obama is attacking the Supreme Court again. Last time he accused them of “reversing a century of law” which would lead to special interests, including foreign companies, to spend without limit during our elections. You may remember this occasion because Obama uttered the lie during his State of the Union speech, in front of all the justices and in response Justice Alito mouthed the words “not true.”
“Ultimately I am confident that the Supreme Court will not take what would be an unprecedented extraordinary step of overturning a law that was passed by a strong majority of a democratically elected Congress,” Obama told reporters today while speaking with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Mexican President Felipe Calderon.
Strong majority? Please.
It barely passed the house 219-212, hell…even 34 Democrats defected and voted against it and EVERY Republican voted against it as well.
So he lies once again.
Not only that, since it’s passing the public has been against it. No better proof of that then the 2010 election which saw 60 Democrats thrown out of office for supporting the unconstitutional law.

Do you really think Kagan, the justice that should have recused herself from the case because of conflict of interest, could be so devoid of principles that she would tip off her benefactor regarding the decision. That would demean the integrity of the SCOTUS; she couldn’t be so partisan, no not Kagan.
For a law to be reviewed by the Supreme Court, it must pass both houses with a majority. Surely Obama is aware of this fact.

Pure bull$hit. The Supremes are there to see if the law follows the Constitution. This is exactly how the Supreme Court operates. Separation of Powers so that bad laws are struck down. Legislators can go back to the drawing board. Wasn’t this monster of a law devised by the Tides foundation and passed swiftly through Congress without it being read. Obama’s biggest fault is his arrogance. This is especially true with his great lack of experience in most any worldly occupation. He has never been in an environment where bluster and innuendo is of little importance. This didn’t just start when he ascended onto the throne at INVESCO Field in Denver. After the election, he truly believes he is King of the United States if not, the World. He believes there are no consequences for his actions and edicts.
Instead of surrounding himself with knowledgeable people, he hired yes men and women. They bend over backwards to make sure the King’s agenda is accomplished by any means, after all, the liberal philosophy is the ends justifies the means. He hired the Court Jester as VP and an overly ambitious (anyway you can) Attorney General. Hillary got the DOS job to appease her and to prevent her from crying foul about the campaign funds and candidate legibility.
A truly experienced leader would make sure there is always someone who has his back. Someone who has shown they can be trusted. Yes men cannot be trusted. Their first inclination is to say yes. While few liked Cheney, he was experienced and had the younger Bush’s back. Bush would never have made a bone head mistake like Obamacare with its Constitutional issues.
The arrogance started with the return of the Churchill Bust to Great Britten followed closely with an IPOD containing the “Greatest hit Speeches of Barack Obama”. Then after his apology tour of the world, he wondered why he had no respect from the World leaders. He pulled a Carter by condemning the President of Egypt and lost another US supporter in the Arab World. Playing paddy cake with Iran has earned him the distrust of nearly all of our traditional allies. The Middle East has never been more volatile because of Obama’s unintended consequences.
Obama’s foray into economics and business has been a total failure. Some diehard liberals will continue to claim that he saved GM and Chrysler. What he really did was to disenfranchise 10s of thousands of non union workers at the expense of union workers. Also, millions of retired people depending on the GM bonds that Obama vacated lost their retirement. His record in alternative energy companies is even worse if that is possible. Every day one or more of his subsidized companies file for bankruptcy of lay off workers. Name one other leader who would change the mission of the organization who placed a man on the moon to one of spreading the word to Islamic countries?
Now, the undocumented president has the nerve to condemn the Supreme Court of this Nation because it doesn’t care for his edicts. I would not be surprised if sometime he confines them to the North Tower to await beheading at the King’s whim! If one could see behind the scenes, we would likely see the DOJ preparing presidential pardons for most of the Obama staff for their illegal activities like “fast and furious”, fund raising, violating the FAR procurement procedures, exerting undue influence on various corporations, and numerous unlawful actions. There will be plenty of witnesses against Obama and his chosen ones. After the King is dethroned, people will come out of the wood work to seek favor with the newest people in power. Obama needs to make sure they are all accommodated prior to his dethronement ceremony.
He can call it all he wants, but even the Judges he helped advocate for the Bench aren’t exactly siding in his Pocket over this matter. They didn’t really like being humilated infront of Congress during that State of the Union speech where Democrats did a standing ovation with Obama attacking the Surpeme Court. It doesn’t do well for forming alliances to embrass your own on National TV, Mister President.
The mere thought of the Government “having that much control” over ‘every’ aspect of our lives is unprecedented!!!

Judicial Activism (JA) is the writing of law by judges. See Roe v. Wade.
The striking down of laws which do not comply with the Constitution is the defined job of the Supreme Court. See Marbury v. Madison (1808).

When the Supreme Court was created, was it set up so that they had to make a yes or no decision on EVERY case, or could they rule that there is no law covering an issue, and give no decision, then refer the matter to congress to write a law covering the issue?
It seems wrong that when there is no law covering an issue, nine people in the entire country get to decide on the legality of it. When they make a decision, they should have to refer to the part of Federal law that thy used to make their decision.

We don’t have that problem in Idaho. The gun shops I have been in have the walls covered with them. I have never felt safer than after I moved here. Most people know that there could be a lot of concealed guns around them, so they have to be careful in choosing a target.
