Obama Rejected Plans To Retrieve Fallen Drone In Iran

Loading

What a shock. This President will send troops into Uganda, drop bombs into Libya, back fanatical Muslims in Egypt, but when it comes to Iran….and our top secret technology, he’s a bit timid:

With early knowledge that the aircraft had likely remained intact, the senior U.S. official also told Fox News that President Obama was presented with three separate options for retrieving or destroying the drone. The president ultimately decided not to proceed with any of the plans because it could have been seen as an act of war.

…One official told Fox News on Thursday that the incident is a huge loss and makes the top-secret helicopter tail lost during the Usama bin Laden raid in Pakistan “look like a pittance.” The official said there are real fears the Iranians will share this technology with the Russians and the Chinese, in addition to using it themselves.

What a pansy.

And then he brags about bin-Laden but allows the Muslim Brotherhood to come ever so closer to their dreamed about sixth Caliphate.

The destruction he has done to this country, and it’s future security is breathtaking to behold.

If this particular model of drone has a recall, are we obligated to fix it for them?

@Hard Right: #30
I remember that Clinton was offered OBL three times. Clinton said they couldn’t find a legal way to accept him. I don’t think Bush would have asked if the gift was legal.

I’ll bet you’re an avid comic book reader.

If the news media you go to is so trustful, why do they call the USA a democracy? Only Fox News calls it the republic that it is? Anyone with an open mind can figure out why the propaganda media does this.

@Liberal1 (objectivity):
Oh, honey, go join your little friends out in Zucotti Park and let the grownups discuss the issues, mkay?

I was watching a forensics show that was on MSNBC. They ran two commercials spewing blatant propaganda. One was by Chris “boozehound” Matthews. In the agitprop ad he basically claimed we were doing a diservice to our soldiers oversees by not making the 1% pay more taxes. He even threw in the chickenhawk strawman too. I turned it after that. I know some of the leftists believe their own BS, but I know others just want power and control over others and don’t care what they have to do or say to get it.

Smorg, Clinton was mainly about maintaining his poll numbers. He was more concerned about the politics of such an act than protecting America. His administration helped make it much easier for the 9/11 plot to be sucessfully carried out due to their liberal dogma and sheer incompetence.

Hey libtard, you can demand facts of others when you start posting proof of what you claim. Until then, ES.

I remember while Clinton was in office that he never made any major decisions until he found out what the polls said, then he went with the polls. I have never figured out how the Polish people know so much about our country that we don’t do ANYTHING until we ask them first.

Clinton reduced the intelligence gathering agencies budgets so much that we had to recall many agents from several countries. Two of them were in Iraq. We then had no information from those countries except from others. Also, remember all of the attacks and deaths of our people around the world, and Clinton did nothing?

Is it incompetence, or part of a plan?

Late to the thread but thought I’d add my $.02 anyway……..

What SHOULD have happened:

@Rides A Pale Horse: Great video Rides!

I just don’t take it. Why U.S. citizens think that one fkn drone is the reason for other country to go nuts. It’s a fkn drone ppl, no matter the tech. With modern networks/hackers/etc. every military secret the moment it appears is no secret for interested parties. That’s why no one was going to destroy the craft. That’s why nothing will change even if Russia, China or whatever will reverse eng. the thing.

Potentially in military terms U.S. is crewed. While Russia develops, tests, uses, mass produces and sells heavy weapons in thousands and even millions, U.S. upgrades infrantry tech like pillows and warming systems for boots, develops super sci-fi prototypes which will never see the light of mass production (and btw, forgot to metion, prototypes constructed by mainly-russian immigrants) and sells its military antiques to Mexico and Ecuador. All this just to be able to produce one more “new” aircraft or tank that technologically is already too old compared to countries that can actually test their war tech not in the lab but in action and upgrade it basing on real warfield experience.

So don’t panic ppl, Obama is not so stupid as you think. He knows when it’s pointless to resist.

I would not advise IRAN TO OPEN THE COMPONENT. ANY OF IT,
there might be a NUCLEOR BOMB INSIDE WHICH WILL BLOW THEIR FACES OUT ALONG WITH ARMAGETIN, DAMN if you do
DAMN if you don’t
OR ISRAEL CAN BLOW IT UP EASY, AT THE FIRST TIME IT’S BEING PROBE.
THEY CAN
WARBEAST
YES HE IS STUPID AND LOVES THE MUSLIMS,
MORE THAN YOU. DON’T, YOU SEE, HE IS PROTECTING THEM.

hi,
I swear I did not read your comment before I type my own, it is unbelieving that link of yours very creative
was what I thought on my comment,
I was so exited , I answered on the wrong POST, this is a repeat not exact of the other comment,
I said that we had the same idea at the same time expressing each with different ways, but you’res was so well done,
we had our mind chronologically timed,
we must try that again for science advance of the discovery of mind.
bye

Ride A Pale Horse
you know, what come in mind,
if a person type a comment and have the image by you to visualize the intent of the comment at the same place,
just like my comment could have fit in your space perfectly,
or vice versa, yours in my space,
I’m thinking of the CANDIDATES COMING IN THE WEB ,GIVING AN ILLUSTRATE AND MOBILE SPEECH ON ALL THE CONTENT BEING EXPRESS BY YOU LIKE A VISUAL MOVIE FOLLOWING THE TEXT,
JUST THINKING OF POSSIBILITY FOR A TALENT LIKE YOURS
BYE
COMING FOR MORE
what about the NEW PRESIDENTIAL LIVE SPEECH ON A GIANT SCREEN being illustrate with your art, having moving whatever all along the speech. in front of the crowd,
WOW, I can visualize that on the theme of AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL, WITH BRAVERY OF MILITARY, AND INTELLIGENCE VALUES OF AMERICANS FROM SEA TO SEA,
what a way to crown a new patriotic FUTURE PRESIDENT,
IT would be a never seen event, on a never more dreamed presentation,
what say you. more words come to mind
VIRTUAL ANIMATION OF A SPEECH

a couple of objective points:

1) the whole point of recce drones is “no more Gary Powers”…the tech itself, by definition, is expendable…in fact, one must accept that it *WILL* fall into the hands of your enemy.

2) as others have said already, I’d like to think some form of misdirection is in the works that is part of the ongoing aggressive drone program.

I’m not going to rip on the POTUS without knowing more than what is in the public eye, and what I’ve read from pro-analysts point to the first case being the most likely — without knowing the full extent, commitment, or all the players involved (asides from the obvious) in what looks like an asymmetric proxy-war “push back” against the wildest dog of the SCO affiliated pack.

Ride A Pale Horse,
again, me saying that it is what you did, exactly,
and for the PRESIDENTIAL speech I MENTIONED, IT would be similar,,
and a lot of work on youre part I’m sure, but feasible, as you just shown,
I THINK GRAND, because of this GRAND AMERICA,
NOTHING IS TOO GRAND FOR HER.

@warbeast: #60
What you are saying is that you don’t mind if our military gets in a fair fight, with both sides being equal. We don’t know how the technology will help our enemies. The reason we win most battles is the technology. I want our military to have as unfair a fight on our side as possible.

ED Rasimus
you got some good questions,
there could be some infiltration in the drones making technology,
when you consider how many hater come in to take high techc jobs after they get the expertise right here , and it doesn’t take much to change a simple wire or else to the mechanism complicate but not if you have studied it in this COUNTRY and came for the only purpose to help you country abroad,
there where MUSLIMS saying there is some of them in every critical intel positions in this COUNTRY,
where they taken seriously or not, is it to late to get them out of sensitive jobs?
when you see 2 HELICOPTERS CRASH, and other plane fall in backward land now more than ever before,
then your questions are very important to look into.

@Greg:

Just saw this, I lol’d…good one 🙂

Maybe the hatch on the top will spring open and a big Jack-in-the-Box head that looks like Ahmadinejad will pop out.

I’d pay money to see that.

SMORGASBORD
hi,
there must be more study done to be able to view underground if there is EIDS burried,
is in there a technology created to that important issue the military are trying to cope with and stay alive without real tools. their life are worth more than what is being research at this point,
there should have been a race to escalate the finding the solution, which would locate and blast the EIDS,
and render the enemy unable to fight with that weapon, which is taking to much lives, too much brainstorms from the soldiers, too much room in their mind, which should be focussing on the human enemies at 100 per cent.
this is the key to win this war. who will make that key.
who will take on the challenge to find that key?
which COMPANY will dare to get on the subject AND MOVE IT TO a resolution of the problem,
look behind in the WW11, there where brains working to find resolution to the war, for winning it and saving SOLDIERS lives, THERE WHERE new discovery after discovery, and major one, just think at PLASTIC, AND there was less money, but brains where full speed ahead.
what went wrong?
where is the incentives now, well just pretend you are about to step on one, that will stimulate youre brain and lead to create a deterrent

Minor correction: It ain’t EID. It’s IED (improvised explosive device). It took me a long time to get the letters right.

One difference in today’s wars is that in World War I and II the goal was to win fast. In Vietnam the idea was to make as much money and get as much power as President Johnson could. I believe the reason we arn’t winning the wars as fast as we could is that Obama wants to turn the USA into a non-free country. Look who is donating to him and all of the ones he is appointing to offices.

For a long time I have thought that the president should have to go through the Joint Chiefs of Staff before they can call a mission. After the mission is ordered, the JCS would have control from there on. Too many times a president has ordered a mission that resulted in needless death that could have been prevented if they had more time to prepare.

I remember when it used to be that if a country messed with ANY American citizen unjustly, that country was dealt with severely until the citizen was in our control. Now, we have to check with US businesses in those countiess to see how what we do will effect the companies before we do anything. If it would effect the business greatly, and if the American citizen is just a regular citizen, then we don’t do much any more.

SMORGASBORD
HI,
thank
you for the correction, I bet I do the same thing with ptsd,,
funny some things are hard to keep in memory, and yet more difficult words stick in forever,
my incompetent mind that is.
yes about not being ready, on some important deadly matter, but after so long, too long, you should have learn to order what you need to protect the ones who protect your COUNTRY, they need to be a priority in decision, imagine the difference of acquired knowledge from WW2, and still fighting like that on a longer time limit, with unadequate weapon missing the target which should be theIED priority,
to my mind, because I know my claim is justify, I feel the components are there to make the right thing so each soldier could have one to probe in front of his first step to the last step on that ground,
and it’s not too much to ask, considering the lost of lives percentage is monstrous.
those who die are being replace by a bunch of cowards and other illegals criminals,some sick in mind from the other side of the BORDER, Coming from other country sicken by
rules from ancient times coming from ancient blood thirsty
leaders, and they have the gall to try to inject their habits into this AMERICA, like poisoning a whole country by inciting the most vulnerable , the young minds curious and eager to love anyone telling nice words, and once they are hook on it, they have the incurable disease, deep in their guts, hopefully this will start to be dealt with soon,
I’m thinking aloud,
oops a word come to mind just now,
about the tool, is some thing which is on a certain frequency
[that’s the word]
that could be superior to any other frequency gadget, and have a laser on to penetrate the soil and reach the IED cluster pulverizing it without touching the upper layer of ground,
sorry I had to let it go before I forget the flash idea,
bye hope some expert get it

@ilovebeeswarzone: #71
They do have handheld devices they use. They are mostly the same metal detectors you can buy in a store. The problem with having a soldier use a handheld is that a lot of the IEDs are set of by someone waiting for the right time. If they see a soldier coming with a metal detecter, they will set off the IED and kill the soldier.

The wars should be run by the generals. Most of them have been in battles and know what is needed. The president should only say what he wants and let the experts do the rest. That is my philosophy.

Smorgasbord
yes I heard of the metal gadgets, It’s not good enough, it must be more advance to destroy the cluster while inhibilate the frequency of the enemy gadget what do you call those , yes remote,
it could even kill an enemy with the laser power to pulverize any thing it aim at,
geezz we found 2 actions with that gadget, already
bye
the enemy was killed by the plane bomb passing in front
of the ground forces
okay the enemy is not there, because a plane has been there in front of the soldier and killed it from the air
yes the GENERALS are best to run it.
but in the ww2 war, it was the companies with hired people who where creating new weapons and making it

Smorgasbord
check what I added in the same previous comment

@ilovebeeswarzone: #73
I have ALWAYS said that the generals should be making the decisions, instead of people who have never seen combat, and money shouldn’t be a deciding factor. Politicians can’t put a price on a soldier’s life. For those who are concerned about innocent civilians being killed, how many innocent civilians saved would it take for your son’s or daughter’s death to be worth it. How do you tell an innocent civilian from a terrorist? I would rather have the military have to explain why INNOCENT civilians were ACCIDENTALLY killed than to have the soldier’s family notified of their death.

@ilovebeeswarzone: #73
With more of our factories leaving the country, we have to more and more stuff from other countries. Would you believe that OUR military is buying stuff made in China?
