Remembering 10 years later

Above, one of the stunning AP photos of the site of terror attacks ten years ago. While we are remembering all those we have lost, and again being wow’d by all those who responded so magnificently, enjoy more of the new site at the Daily Mail.

Yesterday leaders gathered first at the Pentagon and, later, in Shanksville to honor those who lost their lives. If you missed the very moving speech by President Bush, you can see it below. Continue reading

Cordray, the CFPB and the Left [Reader Post]

It will only be a matter of days before the left – MoveOn.org; People for the American Way and Progressive Change Campaign Committee — as well as their establishment organs – the New York Times and MSNBC – will be singing the same song off the same song sheet. The tune we will hear from the chorus will call for the United States Senate to confirm former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray as the first director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). EPA Sees Science As Obstacle To Regulation [Reader Post]

We now know that the EPA puts politics ahead of science, that it will take an engineering miracle to meet the EPA defined 56 mpg, that Lisa Jackson is a “global warming” ideologue, that big cars are safer than small cars, that meeting CAFE regulations will cost both money and jobs, and that consumers don’t want electric powered cars. So, until Obama is history, and until the EPA is reined in, we consumers are doomed. Continue reading

UPDATED: Shoulder fired heat seeking missiles missing from multiple Libyan stockpiles

It can’t come as a big surprise to find that multiple Libyan munitions stockpiles have been looted, and shoulder fired heat seeking missiles, such as the SA-7b Grail, are unaccounted for. While one concern would be that bad-guy-in-hiding, Gaddafi, may … Continue reading

Obama goes small [Reader Post]

Barack Obama will unveil his new jobs program tonight and it’s shovel ready. Ready for a shovel, that is. It will look very much like the 2009 stimulus except that Obama will employ the crafty J. Wellington Wimpy strategy:

“I’ll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today.” Continue reading
