President Obama looks past debt debate to job creation
President Barack Obama on Tuesday called a compromise to raise the debt ceiling and launch the U.S. government on a path toward deficit reduction “just the first step” toward strengthening the country’s economy and creating jobs.
Job creation? Wait, let’s check the meter:
Yep. I knew it. I have long said that democrats are absent capacity for long term memory and Barack Obama validates that assertion regularly. In fact, Obama and democrats are entirely dependent on their supporters suffering from early onset dementia.
Obama tipped his hand as to his plans
“We need to begin by extending tax cuts for middle-class families so that you have more money in your paychecks next year. … And while we’re at it, we need to make sure that millions of workers who are still pounding the pavement looking for jobs to support their families are not denied needed unemployment benefits,” Obama said.
Extending tax cuts helps only those who have jobs. Obama’s proposal does nothing to even address jobs. It’s not a jobs consideration- it’s a bribe aimed right at 2012.

Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) told reporters minutes after the debt-ceiling deal passed: “It is now time for Congress to get back to our regularly scheduled program, and that means jobs.”
“With this debt-reduction package completed, the decks are now clear for a single-minded focus on jobs in September,” Schumer, the party messaging chief, said. “We now have had the chance to pivot away from budget battles to jobs. … The jobs issue won’t have to play second fiddle to the deficit issue anymore.”
democrats haven’t put together a budget for more than 800 days, let alone a jobs bill.
Reid, who is as concerned with cowboy poetry as anything else, came out with this
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said that the first jobs bill to move after the recess will be the patent reform legislation.
Say what?
Reid and Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) said the bill, which speeds patent applications, is expected to create 200,000 jobs. Leahy, the bill’s sponsor, said there is bipartisan agreement with the GOP to move it, but he could not identify any other bills with a chance of passage.
Sure it will. Health care reform will create 400,000 jobs immediately too.
“Yesterday, we crossed a bridge,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said during a press briefing in the Capitol. “Enough talks about the debt, we have to talk about jobs.”
Who needs a job when your net worth jumped 62% last year without one?

The president, after signing deficit-reduction legislation yesterday, said he would be turning his attention to “new jobs, higher wages and faster economic growth.”
See? This time he really, really means it. Honest.

King Putt has solved the jobs problem. He has given a speech. There. Fixed.
That is how the King solves all of our problems. He reads a speech off of TOTUS (the Teleprompter Of The United States).
And his bus tour will involve lots of speeches.
The President (King Putt) has never created a job. He has no idea what that means. The only job he wants to create is winning the election in 2012, so he will have a job for four more years.
And he will do that by class warfare, class envy, and abolishing tax breaks for Corporate Jets. But the connection between endless Federal regulation and job creation will never come to his attention, because his lickspittle claque of appeasers (a little Communist Chinese lingo) will never mention it to him.
Patent reform? Hello? It takes investment in property and machinery to have a patent produce a job. And if the endless regulatory agencies have their way, there will be no new property or machinery.
Most of our ruling class have no experience creating jobs. All they do is make speeches, raise money, and run for office.
Of course there is always the Soviet solution. Make having a job a Federal requirement. That worked. Well, no, it didn’t. Because the jobs they made were c***, and the products they made were s***, and the whole thing collapsed under its own weight.
This is really simple. They’ll still do any crazy ass things they want to, but label them “job creation” measures.
If there is anyone left who cares about “Climate Change”, when they tackle “Climate Change”, they’ll still do any crazy ass things they want, but label them “Climate Change” measures.

Obama is an ass of the first order.
Obama’s failure comes from a character defect. He began with the Clinton economic advisors who generated the roaring nineties, but they are gone. He set a policy on Afghanistan that no general recommended. Clearly, he does not take anyone’s advice, so his own deficinecies in knowledge and experience are obvious.

Claire, Clinton’s advisers had nothing to do with economy of the 90’s. That is a myth. You are correct he doesn’t listen to anyone.
As the jobs report came out today we learned that Americans who do have jobs are only paid for 34 hours per week.
That’s because their bosses have no work for them, on average, 1/2 day per week.
They are sent home early one day per week.
So, 1/10th of their pay is missing!
We also learned that more Americans have given up trying to find work and dropped off the rolls, thus making the unemployment rate look better than it actually is (at 9.1% it doesn’t even look that good, does it?).
So, Obama wants to extend unemployment payments to 150 weeks.
Three years.
Hmmmmmmmm……..
People laid off now (or even during the last nearly 2 years) would still be getting a government check on election day!
Does Obama really think these guys would vote for him because of that?
Oh, and this AM Obama said he wanted to give businesses a bit over $2,000 for hiring a veteran for a year or more.
Problem is Obama’s new regulations on businesses add an extra $10,000 for every employee every year!
So, a business would REALLY need to hire for it to make sense, whether or not Obama sweetens the pot a bit,

The “debt deal” comes out to less than 6 hours of governmental spending the first year- the Dow Jones Average dropped 1100 points in 6 days, erasing ALL of the gains made this year, and Owebama has lied for three straight years about “concentrating on Jobs- focusing like a laser…” Yeah right-
I can see a double-dip recession from my front door.
The only consolation is that Jiminy Carter is weeping tears of joy that he is now not the absolute worst-sucking prez we have had- now he can go to his grave happy.

I’m a little confused, wern’t the democrats complaining about the inflated George Bush budgets? If his budgets were too high, it seems it should be easy to go back to his budget amount and work from there. What do you call someone who condemns someone for doing a certain thing, then does the same thing themselves?
If the lemmings story were true, which I fount out it ain’t, all we would have to do is get one democrat to jump off a cliff and all the rest would follow. They basically are doing that right now, except that their leader is TELLING them to jump off the cliff and they are doing it. They don’t even have the sense of Wiley Coyote. At least when he falls off of a cliff it does’t take him very long to realize it and start grabbing for something. Will the democratic voters realize they have jumped off off soon enough to grab hold of soemthing before it is too late. Not if their leader has his way.
This reminds me of the story of the drug dealer in Chicago. He had a ground floor apartment. He had been raided so many times he developed a plan of excape. He would run out a window and without missing step he would hit the ground running. He was visiting another drug dealer friend in another apartment building when it just happened to be raided. He activated his plan of excape, and out the window he went.
When the police get ready to raid a place, they position an officer at every exit. The officer watching the window that the drug dealer came out was shocked to see him. The dealer had forgotten his buddy’s apartment was on the sixth floor. The cop said it was like Wiley Coyote. First he was running, then he realized what he had done, then he started grabbing for air. I don’t mind loosing people like that.
