The Evil Rich and their “Fair Share” [Reader Post]

For years now we have let the left frame the narrative that the rich in this country don’t pay their fair share. Even our President has joined in this effort to demonize the very folks who are the engine of our economy, the small business owners. Continue reading

Stannis Baratheon for President! [Reader Post]

If you are among the many who recently finished watching the HBO series based on George R.R. Martin’s “A Game of Thrones” but have not read the following four books (Book #5 has just been released) in the series, stop reading now. During his Presidential campaign and in the campaign to institute Obamacare Barack Obama repeatedly referred to his mother’s inability to get health insurance and having to fight for payments.

The Obama Drama And The Mystique Of High Noon

Is this a serious discussion of raising the debt ceiling or the opportunity for a failing president to gain control of center stage in a desperate attempt to assert his authority and relevance before the 2012 election?

Obama seems to be playing the role of Marshal Kane straight from the movie High Noon, arguably one of the best films ever made. Filmed in 1952 at the height of Senator’s McCarthy claims of Communist agents within government and the entertainment industry, claims that were proven to be correct by the Verona Cables and declassification of KGB files, it is a movie that emphasizes the ideals of the strength of the individual in standing up to evil.

Plans versus Planning and the Budget [Reader Post]

GOP Calls Obama’s Bluff as He Whines About “No Plan” at Presser

So Obama’s 3rd press conference in 17 days is over and absolutely nothing was learned, once again. No specifics, just a rehash of his last two press conferences.

If this was his idea of “going to the American people” then he failed miserably. Continue reading

Wild Socks With Big Feet

It’s true I have snow on the roof year round, but the sap stays up year round. The young girls in diners and coffee shops smile and call me sir: oh, how I miss the days when they’d smile and wink. Yes, I am a senior citizen and I try to accept the sentence of life without parole with as much grace and dignity as possible. Despite my advanced years and a raven haired young beauty for a girl friend, I still admire the feminine form; just because you are on a diet doesn’t mean you can’t read the menu.
