Game On! Sarah Palin Running For President?

It seems Sarah is in:

Sarah Palin is launching a nationwide bus tour starting Sunday in Washington, a Palin source has confirmed to POLITICO.

The first stop will be at the annual Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally. Palin will then travel up the East Coast in a trip that will include her first stop in New Hampshire since running as the GOP’s vice presidential nominee in 2008.

Palin will also be stopping at other spots of symbolic national significance on the East Coast, including the Civil War battlefields at Gettysburg and Antietam, and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia.

And Rush says the establishment, as well as Obama, are pretty worried about her:

On top of the bus tour comes the new movie The Undefeated by Stephen K. Bannon:

The result is a two-hour-long, sweeping epic, a rough cut of which Bannon screened privately for Sarah and Todd Palin last Wednesday in Arizona, where Alaska’s most famous couple has been rumored to have purchased a new home. When it premieres in Iowa next month, the film is poised to serve as a galvanizing prelude to Palin’s prospective presidential campaign — an unconventional reintroduction to the nation that she and her political team have spent months eagerly anticipating, even as Beltway Republicans have largely concluded that she won’t run.

Bannon, a former naval officer and ex-Goldman Sachs banker, sees his documentary as the first step in Palin’s effort to rebuild her image in the eyes of voters who may have soured on her, yet might reconsider if old caricatures begin to fade. The film will also appeal to staunch Palin supporters who have long celebrated her biting rhetoric and conservative populism yet know little about her record in Alaska and have perhaps written her off as presidential material.

“This film is a call to action for a campaign like 1976: Reagan vs. the establishment,” Bannon told RealClearPolitics. “Let’s have a good old-fashioned brouhaha.”

But she hasn’t announced yet…there is not even a peep that she will announce soon. So is she going to run or not?

Make no mistake…if she announces it will send shockwaves throughout the establishment ranks who will do their best to destroy her before she can hurt their favorite RINO’s.

Palin’s role over the last few years has been quite important in helping to rally the opposition to Obama…opposition that seemed impossible days after his inauguration. So you can bet your ass Obama will be worried.

And rumors abound that one of her potential running mates just may be Giuliani.

I’ll have a poll post up later this weekend going through the different scenario changes once she announces. The changes will be enormous.

rich.. you know if you want to use polling info to back up your imaginary claims, you should at least get them right.

What you are quoting is the RCP *average* not from today, but from April 10th to May 26th. Note all the polls conducted here. Palin has consistently been in the top two, or three, for the majority of these. Hardly “widely unpopular” except among you lib/progs. That’s to be expected. We all love watching you decry your fear and loathing. She really pushes your buttons.

Romney’s been a no secret candidate for quite some time. He’s been campaigning, without declaring, for months. Palin’s been pretty quiet, only recently coming on the scene with political activity and now this bus tour. This is a woman who has the luxury of enough name recognition that she can declare very late in the game… if at all. Whether she declares or not, she’s going to be widely entertaining!

I suggest that if you are looking for an Obama guarantee, you all continue to shove Romney down our throats. Most of the conservatives I know are like me. If it’s a choice between Obama and Obama “Romney” lite, I’m going third party. Since there is no difference, I’m going to allow Obama to eat the fruits of his policies, and not let them be blamed on a fake Republican from MA and a small “r” behind his name.

Nope… no pick amongst this crew. Doesn’t matter anyway. I don’t have a say. It’s all over before the Oregon primary arrives. I might as well be in a cave in Pakistan when it comes to primaries.

I’d say it’s ridiculously premature to even consider predicting a primary winner.

    Perfect response! Love it!

It’s all over before Illinois voters cast their ballots too. This year we will have to suffer through cross over voting in epic proportions. So, the early states with a minority of conservative voters and dem cross overs will choose the Republican candidate. All imho.

  11. Just listened to Sarah on the Hannity show. She really disappointed Hannity the GOP boy when she stated that
“if the GOP does not begin to listen to the tea party and other Americans there will be a good chance for a third-party this time around.” Paraphrasing. I believe she is right, and glad that she can see the writing on the wall that the GOP and other party die hards refuse to see. It the GOP continues to shove these old establishment contenders down our throats more people than just myself will be driven to a third-party contender. I had to quit years ago the habit of doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results with GOP contenders.

  12. Gary G. Swenchonis, I thinkthe work is too big and too important too serious to consider a third party,
that would spread the dices too far out. there is no time to spend also, and moneys should be concentrate on one work at a time and do it right this time

@rich wheeler’s #55: anticsrocks PLEASE go to Bloomberg News Sarah Palin poll. THANKS RJW SORRY FOR INCONVENIENCE

Sorry Rich… still must point out, *WHERE’s THE LINK*!

You sure are one lazy SOB. In addition, you continue to sing the same ol’ song… off key.

There is n no “Bloomberg” poll. The Bloomberg article you must be alluding to… altho who knows since you babble, but never provide substance…. links back to the Gallup poll that has her tied with Romney.

You, of course, must have zero’ed in on te pundit’s second to last paragraph with glee..

Her unfavorable ratings are high; a Quinnipiac University poll released May 4 found that 58 percent of those surveyed said they would never vote for Palin for president.

    Two lessons for you.

    #1: 58% is not 60%
#2: read the damn poll! You’re a fool to believe a pundit.

As I’ve told you over and over, the “unfavorable” for Palin lies mostly with you and your ilk, who would never vote for her anyway. News flash. I don’t care what you think. I doubt any of us care what you think about our candidate. Not about Palin. About Rubio. About anyone. I’m not in the least curious about your predictions or recommendations either.

Back to reality. Rember that 58% you want to tout? Mixed samples. Know what that means? DEMOCRATS WERE ASKED!

    LOL

93% of Democrats said they’d never vote, or would consider voting for her.

Wow… surprise surprise. Who woulda thunk it?

For Republicans… 73% would consider voting or enthusiastically vote for her with only 24% saying “never”.

Wow… another “widely unpopular moment” for you, eh?

Independents… 39% would consider or enthusiastically vote for her. 58% say never.

Weird thing about the Indys tho… they weren’t too “enthused” about anyone. The most “enthused” they were was for Huckabee at 14%. Romney “enthused” was 11% and Palin was 10%.

hum… still top three in enthusiasm amongst those not enthused about anyone.

The highest number for consider/enthusiastic was for Huckabee with 51%. Romney came in next at 50%. Palin came in third for the consider/enthused.

Wow, top three again. And Huck’s still not running, and Palin hasn’t declared.

Since Ron Paul was so low on the totem pole in numbers, and Quinnipac does not provide a breakdown of who the 1000 or so responders were, or ratio of Dem/GOP/Indy, I’m going to take a wild guess they weren’t asking many libertarian type independents for an opinion. They don’t flock to Romney or Huckabee.

Asking just the Republicans (and it’s their business only to pick their candidate… image that!) for their preferred candidate out of Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Mitch Daniels, Tim Pawlenty, Ron Paul, Michelle Bachman, Gary Johnson, Rick Santorum, John Huntsman, and Donald Trump…

    Romney at 18
Palin, Huckabee and the “I haven’t got a clue” crowd are all tied at 15 for second
Trump comes in 3rd with 12

The rest are at 5 or below.

That makes Palin (who may or may not run) and Huck (who is not running) as tied for second STILL against Romney…. and far from being “unfavorable” with conservative voters.

I have no idea what Indys they picked. They all sound like Ivan, who doesn’t like anyone…. or are clueless. Or maybe they called Ivan multiple times, because Trump made a 4th place showing for most. LOL… yeah, Ivan got sucked in by that one. Then again, this was completed on May 4th. Before Trump was such an overt loser visually that even the gullible finally got it, and Palin hadn’t loaded up her family for a summer touring vacation.

In the long run, it will be a race between Obama, and anyone but Obama … unless it’s Romney. Then you’ll be able to keep your POTUS, and continue to suck up the blame for his and your party’s tossing of an ailing economy completely over the cliff for generations. Romney’s nothing but a pale version of Obama.

Just gets annoying when stats are quoted and that handy little link isn’t there. When you visit multiple blogs and boards it is a whole lot easier to have the link there.

Whenever I cite stats or facts I always provide the links. Why can’t you?

  15. @ilovebeeswarzone: I would agree with Bee that there is a lot at stake. My point though is that many Americans cannot stomach voting for another GOP contender that is no different than what we have been getting for years now. A third-party might very well lose the election for the GOP, but I agree with Palin, they are not getting the message from the trenches. But your point is right on target.

  16. Gary G. Swenchonis, hi, if they would have start 6 months ago that might have work, but even then the people are confused with too much partys,
    they are just beginning to establish the meaning of TEAPARTY although It’s been there a long time now;
AND the steaks are too high on this one, not to fail.
instead they must rally and work together, to allow the best and help the one to rise, and take everything,
but they will form an alliance never encountered in AMERICA TO PROTECT IT AND BE ON GUARD AGAINST THE HATERS THE GREEDYS AND THE ENVIOUS WHO STRIVE TO DESTROY AMERICA FROM WITHIN AND OUT SIDE IT’S BOUNDARY, where they will continiue to try it .

    @Bees

EVERY election, I make the painstaking effort to research each and every candidates, independents and of all parties for all slots as much as is possible. The biggest pain-in-the-A, are the local races where it seems that many of the candidates (and various news agencies) don’t want to provide any information whatsoever on a candidate’s past, their issue positions, or what they would do if elected to office. Aside from the usual standard vague campaign advertizing blurp and an occasional endorsed by statement, You have to surmise from the absence of information, that most of them just want you to elect them based on their name, picture, party affiliation or campaign slogan. If the voters are uninformed, is that really their fault? Or is it the fault of politicians and news media who don’t provide the voters with the information needed to make good election decisions.

(NOTE: I’m unimpressed by endorsements from the firemen’s frappe fraternity, brotherhood of police sergeant’s bowling leagues, yada sisterhood of the blue-jeans or whatever. They can vote for whoever they want to and I neither want or need their advice. Nor am I compelled by little Stepford children who are put in front of a camera and plead for us to vote for a candidate or issue some special interest group wants. )

After learning as much as possible about all candidates, (including examination as much as possible of any political past records or statements,) I vote only for whichever one seems to come closest to supporting my political Point-Of-View (which tends to the same philosophies as this nation’s wisest founding fathers). They may be GOP, Libertarian, DNP, Constitutional-Party or independents.
(I will admit that I rarely find a candidate who agrees with my beliefs, but I try to select those who I think seem more like a responsible Statesmen and will may us the least harm.) If a Libertarian is better than the GOP candidate, he gets my vote, and yes, I would and have voted for a Democrat when the GOP’er was a corrupt POS.

First of all, your link doesn’t work. Second of all, a March poll? You are aware it’s June now, aren’t you? What was Sarah doing between Jan and March? Anywhere in the spotlight as she is now?

Again I say let’s wait till she gets in and the REAL polls start with the Iowa caucuses.

Physician, heed your own advice, if you please. It’s you who’s bringing up all this BS about old polls from media (altogether different from credible pollsters), and linked from a liberal Palin hating websites.

Article on PoliticsDaily about the poll

    See how easy that is?

Once again, this poll is of simply adults. Not likely voters. Big difference.

Let’s wait and see if she even runs. Looooong time before we even have to start worrying about a GOP front runner.
