Obama’s Latest Assault On The First Amendment

Loading

Obama is desperate, public opinion is turning against him and he is running out of time. These little machines and the internet are allowing the public to think without direction from the propaganda bureaus and to voice their opinions with others. Obama’s world of state controlled media is disintegrating, the truth is ravaging his media empire like a steak knife ripping through a ripe tomato.

To stop the hemorrhaging of popular support through alternative media, Obama has appointed a Director of ‘Progressive’ Media & Online Response, within the communications department. We are now paying to end our freedom of speech and the press.

This latest position doesn’t compose propaganda, he merely controls negative press. It is a position we as Americans are now paying for: a position that is designed to limit our Free Speech, unless it casts positive light on Obama. In Obama’s relentless attacks on the very freedoms that define us, this is just one more step meant to assure his control. We have become the protagonists of the Obama legend and he is feeling threatened; therefore, we must be silenced, if he is to win reelection.

The White House has named Jesse Lee to a new position within its communications department titled Director of Progressive Media & Online Response. Lee will essentially be responsible for building up Obama’s online presence as he prepares for his reelection bid, and squashing any negative stories:

The post is a new one for this White House. Rapid response has usually been outsourced to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), if not done on an ad-hoc basis by administration officials. And it signals that the White House will be adopting a more aggressive defense of the president and his policies as his re-election campaign gears up.

If you’re going to post something online about Obama that isn’t true, Lee is going to be the one to handle you. Considering that Lee’s first tweet about his new position included a picture of The Terminator, we suggest you watch what you say OR BE DESTROYED.

It is obvious that only the pompous, abstract, euphemisms of the administration are to be accepted during the presidential run. Let’s be honest, America is in a rage over the antics of its first anti-American president with his economic failures, his rainbows and lollipops approach to energy, and his impotent foreign policy initiatives. He intends on controlling criticism of his policies by clamping down on any messaging that is in contradiction to his state approved messaging with Hugo Chaves type assaults on our freedoms. It is time for our congressmen to challenge this latest challenge to the Constitution and not let this tragedy continue.

And just who is this Jesse Lee that is heading up the reponse team to adverse comments about The Won? It seems he got his start by writing, and handing out to cafes, coffee shops and other nondescript businesses, a one page anti-Iraq war memo. He later, via Nancy Pelosi, was picked up to head up the rapid response team for the Obama campaign, with the specific task of “disproving” anything negative against Obama.

So what will his tactic be? Putting a picture of the Terminator on his newly created website (paid for by taxpayers) would seem that he is indicating that he will “terminate” all negative Obama comments on the internet.
If he finds negative comments, will he demand that the DoJ shut down those bloggers (the alternate media) that are not fawning all over Obama and the road to destruction he is leading us down?

I find the use of the word “Progressive” in the name of the newly created agency interesting. There was a time that Americans rejected the “progressive” movement, but since “liberal” has become such a dirty word in the minds of many Americans, we are back to “progressive.” Amazing how a generation, or two, can wipe out the negative and give it new life.

I remember another government head that informed the press that the only way they would survive was to be complict with the government. All negative stories would be rejected and only positive things were to be said by the press.

No, it wasn’t Hitler (actually, he did the same thing) but another Democrat president who saw himself more as a dictator than an elected official designated with carrying out the will of the people and defending the U.S. Constitution; his name was Franlin Delano Roosevelt.

So, Obama no longer trusts the Daily Kos and DU to ”Google-Bomb” every negative story about him?
LOLOLOL!

There don’t have to be ANY false stories about Obama to bring him all the way down and out of the White House next year.

Just collect all of Obama’s own stupid words, his own ineffective policies, in short, his RECORD.
Put these together in 30-to-60 second bites and put them on You Tube.
(Use some of those alternatives to You Tube if Obama’s peeps come down on that video downloader.)

There is enough right out of Obama’s own mouth to bring him down.
Obama has alienated one aspect of his ”base” after another for over two years!
His throwing them each too-little-too-late bones can be used against him.

It just has to be catchy art.

And there’s nothing his new ‘Progressive’ Media & Online Response Director’ can do to stop it.

Another example of an unConstitutional act by Obama, and, by extension, the government.

Article II, Section 2 states;

He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.

This means that a law needs passage, in order to create any new positions within the Executive Branch, and that, by law, congress is responsible to approve of the President having the ability to simply appoint someone to that new position, or congress must, then, advise and consent to the appointment.

The 1rst Amendment states;

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Of course, this means that congress cannot make law, in any form, that abridges freedom of speech. That being the case, congress cannot, by Constitutional law, pass a law which allows the President to appoint an officer, of the Executive branch, whose responsibility includes the abridgement of the 1rst Amendment.

Now, the President, himself, not acting within his role of Chief Executive, but through allowable rules governing campaigns, may, appoint such a position. It should not be done within the framework of the government itself.

It’s a given that the progressives will have to find a way to censor the Internet in order to force their plans on America. I noticed (via Drudge) that Big Sis has “seized” a number of websites lately. I’m not sure what “piracy” has to do with homeland security, but here it is:

The Department of Homeland Security seized at least eight website addresses over the weekend, bringing to 128 the number of domains confiscated as part of a government piracy crackdown.

The government is taking the sites with court approval, under the same civil seizure law the government invokes to seize brick-and-mortar drug houses, bank accounts and other property tied to illegal activity.

The seizures, first reported by TorrentFreak, came as Congress is mulling dramatically increasing the government’s legal power to disrupt and shutter websites “dedicated to infringing activities.”

johngalt: Obama Defies Congress By Ignoring Bill To De-Fund White House Czars

…last week Congress inserted an anti-czar rider (provision) into the new 2011 spending bill that would de-fund or limit the budget that taxpayers pay these czars — since we don’t know what the czars do anyway!

The Republicans considered the proviso to be a major victory because, according to Politico.com, Republicans had “accused the administration of giving unelected bureaucrats too much power within the White House.

But Mr. Obama took it upon himself to issue a “signing statement” ignoring the language in the new spending bill to continue paying these czars enormous salaries!

We should all be terrified at how far the destruction of the Constitution has gone.

@John Cooper:

I find it sad, but funny, that liberals were decrying the Patriot Act as being unConstitutional, yet, when presented with blatantly unConstitutional acts, and laws, by the people they support, they turn a blind eye, at best, or defend them vehemently, at worst. It is a proof, of our age, that liberals believe the Constitution to be a mere “piece of paper”, only to be used as a defense, for those issues in which the disapprove.

In order to secure those rights one finds closest to their hearts, they must be willing to defend their neighbors rights, with as much effort as they defend their own. I will fight for someone’s rights to criticize me. I will NOT fight for their “rights” to prevent me from criticizing them.

You may be a troll, I dunno’, but I think you might want to consider that your language reflects upon the management here.

John Cooper, I normally leave removal and spam filtering to Curt. However I gave him a heads up that I was removing the content of the comment, and provided him with the specifics. I suspect “Gray” will end up in the spam filter, where all garbage belongs, for any future here at FA.

Oh, here’s an interesting little tidbit; it seems Jesse Lee, the Terminator of all Adverse Statements Against The Won, is married to the very woman who was responsibile for the MoveOn.org ad General Betrayus when she worked for MoveOn.org.

You see, you can’t have Americans coming to their senses and realizing that Obama stands for One/Big/Assed/Mistake/America. But if Jesse Lee intends to rid the internet of all the negative statements about Obama, including on blogs, he better hire an army because he (looking like the weasel he is) ain’t got cajones large enough to take us all on.

The slander machine/thugs have also been dispatched to NJ to dig up dirt on Christie. They must feel threatened by him. Put all of this together and we are looking at tactics utilized by dictatorships to consolidate power.

Retire05: Check out the Welcome to Twitter messages that Jesse Lee received. ROFL!

JC, looks like the First Amendment Patriots are taking the battle to Jesse Lee. LOL

@another vet: They’re pulling these dung beetle off the Palin beat? The economy of Wasila might collapse without all the window peepers and dumpster divers spending their shekels at the local convenience stores.

Why spend money in violation of The Hatch Act when the Huffington Post does this for Obama for free?

@Alfonso Bedoya: Whatever they take off of Palin they will surely put on whoever they perceive to be a threat.

A few dissenting viewpoints from various sources:

“We are not afraid to entrust the American people with unpleasant facts, foreign ideas, alien philosophies, and competitive values. For a nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.” — John F. Kennedy

“Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures, until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.” — Harry S. Truman, message to Congress, August 8, 1950

“Free societies…are societies in motion, and with motion comes tension, dissent, friction. Free people strike sparks, and those sparks are the best evidence of freedom’s existence.” — Salman Rushdie

“You have not converted a man because you have silenced him.” — John Morley

@Alfonso Bedoya: All are true and very much apply to our current state of affairs.

Alphonso Bedoya, right to the point, thank you for that GEM COMMENT

Someone should inform Big Sis at the Department of Homeland Security that Jesse Lee may be infringing on the copyright’s of MGM’s product trademark as well as violating the rights to their copyright protected images of the Terminator.
