GREGORY: First of all, you gave a speech in Georgia with language a lot of people think could be coded racially-tinged language, calling the president, the first black president, a food stamp president.
Yeah, you heard that right. Gregory, a member of our MSM, subtly accuses a Presidential candidate of racism for calling Obama the “food stamp President.” Because he’s black and all.
Get it?
I didn’t think so. Since the numbers of unemployed have gone up since Obama took office, and the numbers of those unemployed getting food stamps have gone up, it’s perfectly reasonable to call him a “food stamp President” but how is this racist? Only blacks are on food stamps? Isn’t it racist of Gregory to even suggest that this is the case?
Sheesh…see what kind of road we’re heading down with this kind of crap.

The race card was slapped down for Obama a long time ago. I remember an interview with [maybe Cokie Roberts] where Michelle was asked if she worried about Barack running, being a black man, and all. Michelle’s answer was ignored by the media but should not have been as she said that she worried about Barack’s safety as a black man every time he went to the gas station.
The real racists are the ones like Gregory who seems to think that only black people have wound up on food stamps because of Obama’s pathetic economic policies. It would never enter Gregory’s small brain that white people, who have lost their jobs, would need the same kind of government assistance. In his world, at the all white, all the time, station he works for, white people all have great jobs.
Gregory had no refutation so he slid down to an ad hominum attack.
But he had to stretch credulity too far to twist Newt into a ”racist.”
After all Obama has made 1 out of 6 Americans Food Stamp recipients.
So Gregory’s bogus ”point” fell flat.
There is one special reason I love Newt being in the Republican candidate pack: He will elevate the debate.
Even if he doesn’t get the nomination he will have taught winning debate points to every other candidate.
And I’m sure he wouldn’t mind them being borrowed.
Well the narrative says that Obama’s mother was on food stamps. I think that makes the “Food Stamp President” an accurate moniker and perhaps factually true.
MSM they hug him, soothe him, kiss him, protect him from words that might hurt his feelings, they explain his words. Who is this most incompetent guy that needs all this help to run the country?
What a stupid remark how did he get anything about race in that statement. I am so tired of the media and I hope that the public will not let them get away with it like they did the last time……..

IF stats were still compiled the same way as back before 1990, Obama could be said to have a worse ”Misery Index” than Jimmy Carter did!
Based on today’s data but calculated using the older methods, the CPI inflation rate is over 10%, and the unemployment rate is over 15% (see charts).
The Misery Index is the sum of the current inflation rate and the unemployment rate.
If it were to be calculated using the older methods, the current Obama Index would now be over 25, a record high.
It surpasses the old index high of 21.98 occurred in June 1980, when Jimmy Carter was president.
BTW, Obama has negatively impacted blacks standard of living and unemployment more than Carter (or any other modern-day President).
This is ridiculous, bubt we have come to expect that the lamestream media will do and say anything in order to protect their Lord of Darkness (that’s right I said that- now call me a racist, even though you do not really know what I am speaking about) and all the socialist agenda he wishes to cram up our “down low”- and this guy will try, because he has no shame, no brains, and no stones- he is content to let others do the heavy lifting.
For instance, he will give a speech about opening oil leases, but allow the other lefties to demogogue the process, until it has been regulated to a stsndstill, then he will shrug his shoulders and claim “I tried>” What utter bovine fecal matter.

I thought [ that card ] was all played out??? Like a year+ ago? I thought Obama [ changed ] all that for America? Oh, I forgot, Obama the great [divider]…. didn’t he run on being the [Uniter of People]? What ever happened to that? Black Americans have been voting heavily Democratic for almost 50 years and it has been an utter and complete disaster for them. Never has any constituency in American politics been so loyal to a political party with so little to show for it. Yet, all the Left has to do is say, “Those Republicans are racist,” and it locks in 90% of the black vote. Until black Americans stop falling for the single most transparent ploy in all of politics and start basing their votes on who supports policies that will actually make their lives better, that’s not going to change.
I read the article and the most ‘telling’ thing is in the paragraph above. Think about it. If what this says is true, then there is a lot more going on beneath the surface. A lot more going on…. maybe on purpose? Or Could it be many blacks are blinded by something? But What? A Liberal/Democrat manufactured premise? Could it be [many] ‘ blacks don’t want’ to make their lives better?? Could it be [ many] blacks “like” playing the “victim”? I mean [ 50 years ] is a long long time…and times have certainly changed (or one would like to believe they have?) … whats the hold up? or better yet [Who] is the hold up?
I used to live in a town where there was (until they built a new one) one food store about two miles down the highway. Now there were a lot of blacks [and] whites and others that shopped there and it seemed there were a lot of middle class blacks [and] whites and others. I really never felt uncomfortable shopping there, everyone was pretty nice to each other I never had any problems. I even joked around with the cashiers and chatted with people there … that was back in the early 2000’s. I moved away in 2005 … maybe I am naive, but I would hate to think we were all just “tolerating” each other ….
