Obama Tries A Magic Potion To Control The Dragon Within The First Amendment

“Mundus vult decipi, ergo decipiatur” the world wishes to be deceived, so let it be deceived.

President Obama was incredulous that the protest at a San Francisco Fund Raiser was filmed by a media person; after all, he controls and directs media, academia, the unions, and Democrats. To break this code is an invitation to bring on the wrath of Obama or to be disallowed or banished from participation in the Obamanation. Liberals and Progressives cower at the thought of being forsaken by the Obama, yet one and her employer dared to stand against the power of Obama, they invoked the First Amendment and called him liar.

In the Greek Myth of Jason and the Golden Fleece, Jason had no pretensions that he controlled the dragon. He knew the dragon was dangerous and unpredictable. A mistake could cost him his life, but he had courage and he believed in himself, but his beliefs were based on past performances and not on the fawning of sycophants from the media, academia, his administration, and his entitlement classes who consider him god of all handouts. The false courage and conviction of an arrogant Narcissist hardly compares to the confidence of a man who has already accomplished heroic feats and is a true leader of men.

Jason had only to wait one more day to gain the Golden Fleece, but Medea the king’s daughter entered the camp of the Argonaughts to warn them that her father planned to set upon them in the morning with an overwhelming force and destroy them. She offered to guide Jason to the Golden Fleece that he had rightfully earned by completing the tasks given him.

His men prepared their ship, the Argo, for a quick departure; while, Jason and Medea left to retrieve the Golden Fleece. They had to charm the fire and poison breathing dragon to secure the fleece, but Medea was confident she could charm the monster. Using a soft, low chant she sang to the monster and when she was close enough she sprinkled a mixture of honey and herbs into his eyes. The dragon fell into a deep slumber and Jason stepped over him to collect the Golden Fleece from where it hung on a tree and he turned for home.

Medea grabbed him and cried,

Well for thee that canst speed homeward to friends and honor! But woe is me, poor maiden, whom father will slay when he knows how I helped the stranger against him.

Jason: Fly with me Medea, as my bride, without whose aid I might have gone back dishonored. Thus I shall bear home with two treasures for one, and be most envied among the sons of Greece. Speak, wilt thou share my fortune?

In the myth of Jason, Medea and Jason went back to his home to live out their lives in nuptial nirvana.

Obama has given the reporter the same promise in a metaphorical sense: “If you want to share in the glory of Obamanation, you must not buck my system. The rules of journalism state that thou shalt not be so foolish as to publish damaging video material so close to an election.

The magic potion doesn’t work for everyone.

In a pants-on-fire moment, the White House press office today denied anyone there had issued threats to remove Carla Marinucci and possibly other Hearst reporters from the press pool covering the President in the Bay Area.

Chronicle editor Ward Bushee called the press office on its fib:
Sadly, we expected the White House to respond in this manner based on our experiences yesterday. It is not a truthful response. It follows a day of off-the-record exchanges with key people in the White House communications office who told us they would remove our reporter, then threatened retaliation to Chronicle and Hearst reporters if we reported on the ban, and then recanted to say our reporter might not be removed after all.

The Chronicle’s report is accurate.

If the White House has indeed decided not to ban our reporter, we would like an on-the-record notice that she will remain the San Francisco print pool reporter.

I was on some of those calls and can confirm Ward’s statement.

Messy ball now firmly in White House court.

The media loving Obama, who likes to appear as a savvy cosmopolitan man about town is showing his thuggish genetics wedded with a generous serving of hypocrisy and a willingness to lie over the most minor issues, all in the interests of gaining political advantage over the most trivial details.

The reporter went against White House instructions and filmed the impromptu event and the White House is in a snit; however, if there had been an assassination attempt, would the White House instruct everyone to use their flip phones because conditions had changed.

Obama tried to smooth over the damage without a teleprompter; as usual, he sounded like an even bigger jerk than if he would have let it dissolve away.

“The main reason we wanted to do this is, first of all, because more and more people, especially young people, are getting their information through different media. And historically, part of what makes for a healthy democracy, what is good politics, is when you’ve got citizens who are informed, who are engaged.”

This is the leader of the Free world explaining why he needs Chavez control over the media. The president or at least his staff were able to run a large part of their campaign using digital media and captured the young demographic, who felt they had a president who actually cared about them. Two years later and with crippling unemployment for young people, they are realizing he cares about their votes and other than that they can drop dead until he needs them again.

It’s obvious he regards this media as his own personal media and it is not to be polluted with damaging or embarrassing videos. Unfortunately, that First Amendment prevents him from usurping all the electronic media for favorable views of him and his campaign.

So sorry, Mr Obama, you ain’t seen nothing yet. You may be bosom buddies with the owners of Facebook and twitter, but the word is out and Americans are more than willing to usurp precious time and material on those medias and use them against you. While you have surrounded yourself with incompetent dolts, a fact that is patently obvious to people who appreciate intellect and wit, we have been sharpening our cyber weapons and preparing for this battle ahead. You will not be engaged in a battle of wits against a man who can’t use a computer; let me assure you, we will come loaded with more than mindless dolts chanting inane slogans. The games are about to begin and may the Socialist lose and be humiliated.

Great article Skook! However, I myself am a bit worried as to your last paragraph. I do indeed hope you are correct and in fact the public will begin to come to it’s senses. However, there is the point that a co-opted media along with a Socialist style indoctrination oriented education system has in fact left us with way too many folks who refuse to look beyond what the kool-aid pourers are spouting. One hopes that is not the case.
I have more than once railed on about the co-opted media and the fact that this (and many others) administrations use it for propaganda only. In this case it is the closest yet we have seen to the likes of the old Pravda and Tass. One thing these media morons should realize though (as one would think the SF Chronicle folks should now know). Every Leftist dictatorship government will in fact turn against the media once they have outlived their usefulness. That is historical fact! As it is apparent the majority of the media types are in fact pawns of this Anti-American Ideal administration, one has to hope you are correct and the people have had enough!

I always knew that the media placed their own spin on issues, but in Iraq, I saw the incidents with my own eyes and was actually sick to my stomach to see how they revised the whole incident to make anti-Bush points with the left. I spent hours with a McClatchy reporter explaining in detail what was happening in the Iraqi government and pointing out how she could find the evidence. My hope was that shining a light on this would allow the US Public to take another look ate the US successes in Iraq. Unfortunately, she told me her editors were not interested in stories like that! Now those who control her editors are in the White House or nearby!

Reportedly, some 70% of Americans now get their news from the internet. The number of conservative–that is, TRUTH telling sites is enormous. If Hussein is to be defeated in 2012, it will be the power of the web which makes the difference. Of course, it is also imperative that Republican elites actually CONTEST the election this time around, rather than bestow the nomination based upon whose TURN it happens to be. We can’t afford another candidate who endorses his opponent!!!

@Skookum: If you recall the AP articles concerning the burning of Sunni and Shi’a mosques and individuals that Curt addressed in 2007 that never happened (39 articles citing a nonexistent source), this is right in line with that. I am not sure there is ethics in main stream journalism any more. They have been allowed to get away with it and no one is willing to call them on it. Palin tried, and look what they did to her!

Obama might just be ”magic.”
He gets the media to ”disappear” away his bad news.
Like the points above about the reporter who used her videophone.
But bigger magic tricks are taking place, too.
Obama’s Treasury is issuing more and more debt, but fewer and fewer people are willing to buy it.

PIMCO quit buying it. (Many other big funds are following suit.)
China is slowing its purchase of it.
Japan, understandably, has slowed its purchases of it.
OPEC is still buying it somewhat.

So where does it all go?
The TAXPAYERS are forced to buy it!!!
Last quarter 70 per cent of the US Government’s debt was being bought by the Federal Reserve.

Here’s the graph that ends Jan 1 2011

Are you in the ”flight to quality” of those blue bars?
You might be with your own investments, but your taxpayer dollars for buying up the slack as seen in that growing yellow bar at the end.

The incident you wrote about, Skooks, reminds me of the incident Biden was involved in not too terribly long ago. I am, of course, talking about the time a reporter was shuffled into a closet during a fundraising dinner, to be let out ONLY during the 35 minutes or so of Biden’s prepared speech, then placed back in the closet for the remainder of the event.

And both incidents remind me of the way the media was used in Atlas Shrugged, where the controllers within the government only allowed certain information out to the public, by means of controlling the press, and anyone who fell out of favor with the government, was quietly banished from their profession.

We have, in this country, a right not recognized in any other civilized country. It is a right that allows anyone within our country to speak their piece, without repercussion from the government. The press holds that right, as do we all, but they, in particular, hold an associated responsibility, as well. That of ensuring their freedom to speak is independent of the government’s desires, for they assume the role of informer upon the government, to the people, and as such, must use objectivity when reporting on the government’s actions. They have failed in that responsibility. They have been co-opted, coerced, and co-operative, by and with the government, specifically the liberal faction of it, so that the ‘news’, as reported, contains nothing except that which the masters in government wish to let known.

Fortunately, for the people of this country, we have entered the age of the electronic media, and of the intrepid individuals who post on blogs, providing voices of truth in a wilderness of information. Thomas Paine is reborn, in this world called the web. Our mainstream media have failed us, in their responsibilities, so we have forged our own media, with thousands of individual lights all concentrating into one big, shining spotlight, to uncover the truths from the lies, about our government. I would hope that all of us, conservatives and liberals alike, who frequent this site, hold this freedom of speech, and the responsibility we have assumed from the mass media, as highly as we do that recognized within the Second Amendment, for the two go hand in hand, and are meant as protection from, and against, an overbearing, overreaching, tyrannical government. Thanks, Skooks, for the article.

Here are a few more examples of the intelligent and corrupt MSM.

. . . . Good follow-up on this story Skook.

It is becoming impossible for the MSM to refrain from acknowledging the fact that there something not right in the psyche, and in the fantasy, of its anointed demagogue.

It would be good to see some serious Republican candidates take him head-on, addressing any one of his many Achilles Heels, so that more crack become impossible for the MSM to ignore, . . . the very cracks some of us have seen as rather obvious since the last Presidential election.
