A Step Back For Troops With PTSD

Anyone that has followed my blog knows that I am passionate about helping to remove the stigma of PTS and PTSD. When I was first diagnosed (after years of denial), I still didn’t really want to accept it. Honestly, I … Continue reading

Why you’re an idiot to believe anything Barack Obama says [Reader Post]

Jim Geraghty said that all of Barack Obama’s statements come with an expiration date, and frequent readers of FA know I cite that all the time. Truer words were arguably never written. There is simply no question that Obama is an inherently dishonest man and events prove it time and time again. In a previous post it was shown that Senator Obama would have sought the impeachment of President Obama. This could be called Part II but it’s more than that. It just keeps getting worse. Continue reading

Fukushima transforms anti-nuke, AGW activist into nuke power supporter

Just when you think there is no hope for some, and that catastrophic events will *always* be used by activists to promote an agenda, we find we can be pleasantly surprised. Case in point, English environmental activist and ArrestBlair website … Continue reading

Say What? 3/22/2011 edition [Reader Post]

Harry Reid [defending federal funding for NPR]: “They had a great piece on public radio before the race started; it was really very, very good, about why the [sled dog] race takes place.”

Nancy Pelosi: “Democrats have long fought for fiscal responsibility as a top priority of this Congress.  We won’t go into the history right now, but it’s well known.” Continue reading

Why I love Sarah Palin [Reader Post]

I love Sarah Palin. There, I’ve said it. While I’ve never met her, that is beside the point.

What is right on point however is why I love her. Sarah Palin bleeds American. She is not American simply because of an accident of birth. Rather, she understands what makes America different; she believes that America is exceptional and knows what makes it so; she is passionately pro-American without being jingoistic; she is willing to fight for what she believes regardless of who’s lined up against her; she is willing to put her credibility and reputation on the line to help others who share her views. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, she is a normal, average, regular person. Continue reading

The Libyan Strategy….Or Lack Of Any

Excellent summation of this Libyan situation by George Friedman and why Obama has really stepped in it this time:

…According to the narrative, what happened in Libya was another in a series of democratic uprisings, but in this case suppressed with a brutality outside the bounds of what could be tolerated. Bahrain apparently was inside the bounds, and Egypt was a success, but Libya was a case in which the world could not stand aside while Gadhafi destroyed a democratic uprising. Now, the fact that the world had stood aside for more than 40 years while Gadhafi brutalized his own and other people was not the issue. In the narrative being told, Libya was no longer an isolated tyranny but part of a widespread rising — and the one in which the West’s moral integrity was being tested in the extreme. Now was different from before. Continue reading
