The ObamaCare Fraud – Administration Admits It’s Unsustainable As Over 1,000 Waivers Granted

Loading

So answer me this. Obama touted his Socialized medicine plan as the fix this country needed to get everyone healthcare. But if it’s so great why in the world do a thousand businesses (and climbing) with hundreds of thousands of employees (and climbing) need to be exempted from this “masterpiece” of legislation?

HHS posted 126 new waivers on Friday, bringing the total to 1,040 organizations that have been granted a one-year exemption from a new coverage requirement included in the healthcare reform law enacted almost a year ago. Waivers have become a hot-button issue for Republicans, eager to expose any vulnerabilities in the reform law.

And as the administration hands out more waivers it is also acknowledging what we all knew long ago. ObamaCare cannot sustain itself and will create a HUGE burden on the taxpayers:

In debate on the health care bill in late 2009, Republicans and moderate Democrats repeatedly warned that sicker people were more likely than healthy ones to sign up for the long-term care plan. Enrollment is voluntary, but the law stipulates that premiums must be set high enough to guarantee the solvency of the program over 75 years. Higher premiums would discourage healthier people from participating, economists and actuaries say.

Administration officials, who played down such concerns 15 months ago, say they now share them. Under questioning by a Republican at a Senate hearing last week, Ms. Sebelius said the original version of the program, known as Community Living Assistance Services and Supports, or Class, was “totally unsustainable.”

She told the House Ways and Means Committee, “We very much share the concerns that have been expressed that, as written into law, the framework of the program was not sustainable.”

So, the CLASS act….which Obama used to sell the program as sustainable, really isn’t.

It was all one big gimmick used by Obama to make it appear that ObamaCare would actually reduce the deficit. The CLASS Act basically says they can start collecting premiums five years before benefits are provided. So when you look at the ten year budget, as the CBO did, it would show a surplus. Of course those last five years, when ObamaCare really gets rolling, will run HUGE deficits and as the administration now acknowledges…it isn’t sustainable.

To top it all off, and realizing the vulnerability in the law, Obama told the governors at the recent governor meeting that “if your state can create a plan that covers as many people as affordably and comprehensively as the Affordable Care Act does — without increasing the deficit — you can implement that plan.”

Hogwash.

This is not the first time he has come forward with an open hand that in reality was not so open. In September of 2009, he said: “If you come to me with a serious set of proposals, I will be there to listen.” In February of 2009, he said: “I won’t hesitate to embrace a good idea from my friends in the minority party.” As we know, Obama went forward with his approach, and Obamacare passed with no Republican votes and 34 Democratic votes against it in the House.

…The problem with this [new] offer, and Obama’s previous offers of flexibility, is the vagueness of the key words. He gets to decide what is “serious,” what is a “good idea.” In this case, he — specifically, skeptical senior officials at HHS — gets to decide in advance whether market-based reforms would “create a plan that covers as many people as affordably and comprehensively.”

Pass a law requiring everyone to buy healthcare, then give out thousands of waivers. Tell everyone the law will pay for itself to get it passed, once its passed let everyone in on the secret…it really won’t pay for itself. And finally tell the states “well, if you can do a better job…do it. but I get to decide if it really is better.”

Smoke and mirrors.

That’s all this administration is about.

It’s really not about smoke and mirrors. it’s actually outright lies and deception with a good dose of Marxist propaganda. The take over of health care is just another example of this man’s socialist leanings, all of which were very apparent early on before he was elected! That is apparent if the majority of the electorate had bothered to READ!. As such, this is only the tip of the ice berg. As seen in Wisconsin and around the country now, the left is openly asking what right someone has to their own hard earned income. The health care fiasco is just one chapter of the redistribution of wealth that this administration is persuing in chasing what has alwasy been and will be a failed socialist pipe dream!

It would be a nice dream, if only it was more than the rambling and incoherent hallucinations of these socialists in power- a part of this WILL be rationing- the inevitable endgame of the eugenics-driven sect of these people-“…Three generations of imbeciles is enough!” So spoke a progressive Supreme Court judge, in upholding the decision to FORCIBLY STERILIZE a poor girl. This attitude is still with us today, from John Holdren, Obama’s “Science Czar”, who once advocated putting sterilants into the drinking water (they could do this far easier, what with everyone drinking bottled water now), to the regulation of carbon emissions, and taxing everyone more for their gas, thus lowering the prosperity index for everyone.
But the healthcare con game is by far the most insidious in it’s overreach and ignorance of Constitutional powers and limits.

“The Obama Misery Index and the Rise of Obamavilles” is the best blog post I’ve read in a long time. This is why President Obama will be a one-term president! http://t.co/hhFr73z

I can’t recommend this piece highly enough. This will be all the ammo we’ll need when talking to other voters during the 2012 general election.

I wonder how that one person left not covered by the waivers will be able to afford paying for the other millions of people? (TIC)

“But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it” – Nancy Pelosi

Remember, that was said prior to the passage of Obamacare.

Conservatives already had a good handle on what was in it, including healthcare rationing, special favors for certain groups, accounting gimmickry to make it seem economically viable, and as a vehicle for growing the size of government by giant proportions, among others.

My father once told me, “Nothing in life is free”. The gullibility of people in this country regarding “free healthcare” is amazing at times. Obamacare itself, if allowed to stand by the people, will carry more unfunded liability than Social Security or Medicare within just a short period of time, particularly as more groups receive ‘waivers’ for supporting whoever is in charge of the government at the time. This entitlement will outstrip all others, collectively(pun intended), and become such a huge yoke on the economic engine of our country that we will never break free from it’s restraints.

Obamacare needs repealing now, before it is fully implemented.

In the history of the Democratic Party, they have passed several major pieces of legislation that they seem to crow about at election time. Social Security was the first and most important as it gave the government massive new power. When FDR tried it the first time, the Supreme Court said it was not constitutional. They FDR came out with his threat to pack the Court with three more justices and when he sent it up, they caved and allowed social security to be admited into law and within the constitution. Every major new extension of power such as Medicare and Medicaid were tied to this law because of this court ruling. So lets take a look at these signature programs. Social Security has had to be constantly tweaked with ever more income being ripped fromt he taxpayers and ever more restrictions placed on the recipient. It is a giant ponzi scheme that if a company tried it the officers would end up in jail. This think makes Bernie Madoff look fairly bland in comparison. It is going broke and again will have to be “adjusted” and faces a time when there will be many multiples of retirees for each worker. If you give the government an opening, you can plan on it being much more massive in a very short time and it never ends. Then we had Medicare thrust on us. Taking care of the ederly was the plan, but of course you soon had the program extended to those in need and disabled. If you look at the history of healthcare in the USA in regard to total costs, prior to Medicare, it was a fraction with very low increases from year to year. After Medicare it zoomed up each year in a never ending spiral. So the government action created the problem of healthcare costs and then the democrats come along to fix it with more big government solutions with ObamaCare. Again, it starts out saying it is going to provide better care that is more accessible and provided to millions more while they tout it will be cheaper in another big lie. They even had the gall to say savings from medicare fraud and abuse to justify the huge increase in spending for Obamacare is in the billions and use the money twice while insisting that it will not cause anyone to lose any benefits. So again a big lie on top of another lie.

Each time the republican party has tried to slow it down and make programs that might be more efficient or to cut fraud and abuse in the past, the liberal left and their partners in the media cry about how mean they are for wanting to hurt the elderly and how the only thing saving them is electing democrats. now they try to make these programs inot rights defined in the constitution. The only solution to any problem in the world or in our country is government growth in cost and size. They even started the unionization of public sector workers for one purpose alone, to lock in votes and support and donations. FDR was against public sector workers being given collective bargaining because their boss is the taxpayer. We can only hope that the American people in large numbers have learned that the democratic party is evil for the future of our country and bankrupt of any idea that does not increase speding a increase the size of government.

Well, at least, this year, Obama has 1,000 of something.
Last year, over 1,000 American high schools participated in a contest to have Obama deliver their commencement address.

But this year only 68 schools have elected to participate!

Actually it was worse than that!

The competition was extended from the February 25 deadline until Friday, March 11 after so few schools met the original application deadline.

“As of yesterday we had received 14 applications and the deadline is Friday,” the memo said.

What a drop in popularity!

I guess there was nothing worthwhile in it for the schools to bother going through all the motions just to be disappointed, again.

Unsustainable? Always has been. This was a promise kept?

DISCLAMER: I’ve got nothing but my “gut” to lead me to this conclusion And here is why.

During the Bill Clinton administration his first lady was hell bent on a national healthcare plan as far back as 1993. We all know what happened to it. With Hillary’s campaign for the highest office her ‘Individual mandate’ centerpiece requires all to have health insurance remained the most prominent national proposal.

Now remember Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton came together Thursday evening Jun 6, 2008 to pull off a secret rendezvous.

Put those together along with Senator Dianne Feinstein of California comment, she hosted the meeting,

“I can speak, I think, for Senator Clinton,” Feinstein said. “She wants to do everything she can to bring the party together. She wants to do everything she can to see the people who voted for her have their voices heard, and that’s reflected in credentials, platform. And she wants to have a working relationship with Senator Obama, and I think it’s a very positive thing.”

and my “gut” says Obama offered Hillary, if she would step aside, to get a Universal Healthcare passed and without much doubt her current position.

Said he would get it passed. Doesn’t mean it would survive. Again … a promise kept? Unsustainable? Absolutely, and here we are today.

How is granting waivers for Federal Law even legal? The sheer numbers of waiver (payoffs) given to Democratic supporters is clearly quid pro quo corruption and unequal unjust application of law. Republican Congress-critters should be loudly lambasting this cronyism in the viper-pits of the house and Senate.

@Ditto: Ditto, it is not legal- it’s political; opposite ends of the “Justice” spectrum- and there are some Reps crying out about this- the trouble comes when the Reps who have been in office for awhile say to themselves, “If we stay quiet, WE can use this tactic”- the trouble with that is if it is bad for one side, it is just as bad for the other side.
