Arming Libyan rebels? The Deaf, Dumb and Blind errors of western leaders

When Chinese Tendai Buddhists introduced the Taoist Koshin belief to Japan in the latter part of the 10th Century, I doubt they could have foreseen that The Three Wise Monkeys who Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil, could be used so interchangeably with being “deaf, dumb and blind.”. Yet as the beltway fiercely debates arming Libya’s rebels, that ancient proverb, and it’s familiar visual of the three monkeys comes to mind… and not quite in the way the Buddhists’ intended. Boots on the ground in Libya [Reader Post]

You are an idiot to believe anything Barack Obama says.

Over and over we have been told

We are not putting any ground forces into Libya.

Last night we learn Continue reading

Shocking! MSM Ignores Leading Democrat Instructing Other Democrats On How To Spin Media

Remember JournoList? That email list consisting of various liberal MSM members who conspired to get a certain message across to readers and/or viewers? That list is now supposedly defunct but you have to wonder, especially when news of Chuck Schumer’s remarks during a conference call are all but ignored by the MSM. He was overheard briefing fellow Democrat lawmakers how to belittle and denigrate conservatives.

Jennifer Steinhauer from the Times was one of the few to write a few syllables on it: Continue reading

Vapid Words [Reader Post]

In honesty to you whom are reading, I do not like looking at this man, watching this man nor listening to this man but reading his 3,400 word speech on Libya may be critical to the future of our dear country. I started seeking to measure the context as being either vapid or inspirational, what I found were that the words were very flat. This opinion began where I saw the President wrapped in a background wall of flags being used as props as if the previously used Styrofoam columns were sent into storage so that a new stage manager could bring on a different backdrop turning the location into a pulpit for preaching not a place for an intimate chat among friends. This President likes to speak from pre-prepared settings remaining shy from fielding rhetorical questions or answers. Continue reading

What Is important? [Reader Post]

The most important thing in the world to you is the survival of you and your family.

You need to be secure enough in your own home to sleep at night without fear; to have enough food for however many meals you and your family need each day.

To be protected from the weather. Continue reading

Say What? 3/29/2011 Edition [Reader Post]

Barbara Boxer, who (eventually) vehemently opposed us going to war in Iraq, recently said of Obama going into Libya: “This is different; you’re facing a dictator who vowed…to destroy his own people.”

Bill Moyers: “{NPR is] independent reporting that toes neither party nor ideological line. We’ve heard no NPR reporter — not a one — advocating on the air for more government spending (or less), for the right of abortion (or against it), for or against gay marriage, or for or against either political party, especially compared to what we hear from Fox News and talk radio on all of these issues and more.
