Events in the world are spinning Barack Obama around like a top. Barack Obama is ill-suited to be the President of the United States. His worldly sense is really only that of a Chicago mayor, but what Obama really should have been was the Secretary General of the UN. There he could pontificate, bluster, moralize and agonize all without meaning or intent. He could carry on the UN legacy of uselessness and failure and likely scoop up another Nobel Peace Prize for achieving nothing, to bookend his first Nobel Peace Prize for achieving nothing.
I have been to Israel five times and each visit remains a fond memory. Today I spoke with a friend from Israel. He is totally disgusted with Obama. He noted that one day Obama supported Mubarak and the next day told Mubarak to leave. I said that I was quite concerned about Israel’s safety but my friend is confident in Israel’s ability to defend itself. However, he knows as well as many of us that sooner or later someone is going to have to decapitate the nuclear monster in Iran. We all know that Barack Obama will neither come to the defense of Israel nor act on Iran. Barack Obama is a political eunuch. World events cry for leadership and Barack Obama wails about collective bargaining, all the while interfering in a state issue in which he has no business. Obama’s response to the crisis in Libya is to fire up a Motown party in White House.
When the protests for democracy arose in Iran Barack Obama dithered. He uttered some nonsense about standing with those seeking democracy
“And we stand behind those who are seeking justice in a peaceful way.”
The problem is that Barack Obama gives disingenuous a bad name. He is an execrable liar. When he could have done the most good for those seeking change in Iran, he voted present.
Amid allegations of fraud in the recent Iranian elections, Republicans are criticizing President Obama for not personally addressing violence against the protesters demonstrating on behalf of opposition leader Mir Hossein Moussavi.
When uprisings took place in Egypt, he voted present.
When bloodshed takes place in Libya, Obama voted present.
Energy prices are skyrocketing and Barack Obama has diminished our domestic energy supply and made us even more dependent on foreign oil. He has shut off new searches for oil in the Gulf of Mexico and has curtailed several functional rigs. The Obama administration has been ordered to resume the granting of oil drilling permits but has not done so and has even been found in contempt, not that that matters. As noted here, Barack Obama picks and choose what laws he wants to uphold and screw the rest.
Meanwhile, pretty much everyone in the world is drilling in the Gulf except for the United States and at the same time the United States is financing drilling in the Gulf by Petrobas of Brazil.
Obama submitted a budget he knows fully well will put this country on a course to oblivion.
It seems that union leaders are the shadow Presidents of the US and Obama has taken to meeting with lobbyists in secret places so we cannot know who owns Obama at the moment.
I listen to people tell me how much Obama cares and how he really wants what’s best for the US.

As to the current administration and it’s stand on oil production here (my apologies if I’m a touch uncivil in my ranting today), I’m not sure why anyone should be surprised ad this clown’s stance as to the oil situation. consider the fact that it took our boy 8 days to get his head far enough out of his behind to even comment on the Libya situation. 8 days! In the meantime gas prices are flying through the roof! Yet, his so called administration has the gall to believe we the electorate are really dumb enough to accept their claims that inflation is not happening!
During his campaign, Obama was quite comfortable lecturing the electorate on the fact that he felt it was ok if gas prices when up to $5 a gallon or more. didn’t matter to our wanna be dictator! Now as the Mid-East goes up in flames and he openly shows his disdain for Israel, he steadfastly refuses as you note to allow us to tap our own vast natural resources.
His ideology dictates we as a country must be destroyed and become beholden to the third world garbage that is now and has been calling the shots in the U.N. for years.
Our president is nothing more than a follower of a failed Marxist/Socialist system and on top of that every move he makes is also apparently aimed at supporting every radical Muslim order out there. As such, I see something much deeper going on here as to oil, although as always, it’s just my view.
I worry for the clusterf**kage that will be left in his wake. As bad as it is, it will be so much worse when he leaves.

Had only one thing to do after the long day at work. Last day of the month is payday. I still need to buy the chow-chow her food-food. Wife’s trying to start a new business. Now babysitting for the 5 grand-abies. We don’t have food in the house, either. I was originally going to write about impeachment. Then, I thought about the promotion of the vice-cretin. And, thoughts shifted about how I should have been wiser to have invested in the precious metals. Not, gold silver and platinum, but the other ones: Brass, lead and cold, blue, steel. Considered again what I saw on the drive home, passing my gas station at the Meijer. When I passed by this morning, still had a 1/4 tank. Saw that price went up $0.30 in 10 hours, 3/4 dollar in 24 hours. 1/8th of a tank now. Knowing the price of food, and energy are inextricably linked, maybe should buy TWO BIG bags of dog food; Knowing that the traitor in chief earlier promised that his policies on energy would do to energy prices is now coming to fruition; Then, thought about that sock-puppet of a vice-president; And also: How the U.S. senate still writhing with the same cretins that have escaped from Wisconsin and Indiana to safe-harbor, further fouling here, what was once this great land of Lincoln. Myself, I can only shudder to imagine how this is all going to go. It’s just too depressing and makes my brain hurt.
Then, I’ve decided that there’s is only one hand that can fix all of this. Whether we like it or not, by His grace, go I, go us all. Our forefathers were aware of, and acknowledged Divine providence.
But, I will now punch “Post, ” then, say another prayer; And, continue to trust in Him. To maintain my own, and restore others’ faith. To know that He has not left the building, and will victoriously lead us through these evil times. May God bless us all.

We thought we were, then our electric rates rose over $30/month for no extra watts.
We took action.
We live on the beach and there is always a breeze coming in.
In winter it was difficult to keep the cold out.
So, we created ”shogi screens” in place of our light panels.
Our shogi screens are two light panels sown together and filled with 1/2” styrofoam-like sheets.
We can slide these screens completely out from in front of the windows, or totally cover them, depending.
(We also simply attached these same foam panels to the bedroom ceiling.)
Our first bill after that was $20 less!
At that level of saving the panels pay for themselves in less than 1 year.
IF they help us not need the air conditioning in summer as much, even faster.

Weird story: someone once told me, at great personal risk, that Conservatism existed before there was an Obama to define itself against. I wanted to hear more, but I never saw that brave man again.

A different style, titling the post with the (correct) conclusion, packed full of evidence and examples of the calculating, wantonly destructive positions that this evil man has taken. The post has this different format, with the rather diplomatic either/or thesis statement placed after the supporting evidence. That post was a lot of work. Perhaps, Dr. John just may have just gotten worn thin by the time he reached the end of the post. That’s how the devil works, he wears you down. The correct conclusion: Indeed, a Manchurian candidate, trying to destroy this country. Not just a blithering idiot. He knows exactly what he’s doing. A friend of mine came up with an idea that is making him a lot of money. He makes land mines that look like prayer cloths. He says business is booming, and that prophets are going through the rook. I think I will invest in his company.

After due consideration, I’m going with both “He’s incompetent”, and “He’s trying to destroy the Country”. His goal is to destroy the Country; His methods are incompetent. IOW, he’s employing the Cloward-Piven theory in an incompetent manner to try and destroy America. See, creating chaos is easy; You don’t have to be competent to create chaos and, in fact, it helps if you’re not.
But the one thing Obama didn’t count on was the resilience and innovation of the American people. I don’t think he’s a Manchurian President, because by definition at least such a person would have some level of competence. Plus, such a President would be more like Clinton, deftly gravitating to the center whenever necessary, and only veering to the left whenever practical. No, Obama is just an empty suit, a liberal idealist and ideologue incapable of critical appraisal when it becomes obvious to anybody else that his policies not only aren’t working, but can’t hope to work.
I have two sons. One is 23 and one 31. I am proud of both of these young men. The oldest with his wife are participating in many of the non-profit companies in the El Paso County area. He coaches young men in basket ball and life. My youngest just returned from a year in Afghanistan with the Army. I have raised these young men to work hard and be proud of their accomplishments. I encouraged them to understand The importance of participation in our country by understanding the issues and voting for the best person or solution. Both of my sons are selfless when dealing with those less fortunate. They get angry when someone takes advantage of their good nature and mistakes their soft spoken words for weakness.
I could have retired 2 years ago with a modest income. I have met my educational goals last year. There are things on my bucket list I have not done, but many do not seem as important now as they did in the past. I work now to fund my sons’ Roth IRA because I see them and their children unable to achieve what I have in life. This is not because they are incompetent, but because their opportunities have become limited due to the actions of this administration.
My sons are ignorant of how the current administration’s policies are changing the country and their futures. (Most of the country have similar thoughts.) They have not seen how changes that have been made in the past 2 years affect a people and their country. They do not have anything in which to compare current situations.
We have regular discussions when we are all in town. Before the last election, they considered Obama and his vision as being viable. We each made a case for and against. My main argument was the lack of experience and his association with people who want our country to fail. Theirs was that they wanted to end racism and they felt a black president could support that effort. In the end, they too became as concerned as I with the associations of Obama. They felt they couldn’t trust him. We were all right.
My sons grew up alone while I spent more than 3 years in Iraq. They chose to look after each other. Two young men, who once trusted their government to do the right thing, now do not trust their government or their president. They see their cost of living going up because of energy costs. Food prices are going up.
In the beginning, we thought that the president was inexperienced and would eventually understand what the right thing to do for the country. Lately, we are beginning to believe that lack of experience cannot account for the direction the president and his administration is moving this country. We are not alone. We all fear for the future!

I vote for “trying to destroy the country”. Sure, he acts like a “blithering idiot” on occasion, but even then the actions his WH takes on issues prove to be the worst possible actions one could take given the circumstances. Even a “blithering idiot” would make the correct choices every now and then.
-When healthcare costs are rising for everyone, what does he do? Backs legislation that ensures everyone’s healthcare not only rises in cost, but also lessens the coverage many people enjoyed before. And all that while the economy is depressing and people’s own personal finances are stretched thin already.
-When told by the “One” to tighten our belts, what does he do? Spends the nation’s money on “date nights”, on music parties, golf outings and taxpayer funded “vacations” for his family. Even a “blithering idiot” feels some compassion towards others and would curtail the excesses Obama has engaged in.
-When the country is in an energy “crunch”, what does he do? Uses an ecological “disaster” to illegally stop all drilling by US companies, even to the tune of disobeying court orders. Granted, the first action above might be undertaken by a “blithering idiot”, but even then the “blithering idiot” is likely to obey the courts.
-A “blithering idiot” would not have been able to come up with the idea of “jobs created or saved“, although they might be in agreement with Obama’s outlandish assertion that the Stimulus reached it’s goal on that front.
I have tried and tried to think up something I agree with as being a ‘good idea’ that his admin has done, or is doing, and I come up zeroes. A “blithering idiot” would have at least done something conservatives could agree with, kinda like the blind squirrel finding a nut every now and then. My vote, based on the above, is that he is intentionally on a path for the destruction of our country as we’ve known it.
What scares the hell out of me is hearing Republicans saying he’s going to be hard to beat in 2012 so they are planning to do a hard run in 2016. Republicans admitting defeat before the battle even starts sounds like they are happy with him. This country is is going to have a hard time surviving with him at the helm for two more years , much less six . The only thing this guy has is arrogance, look at those pictures of him looking down his nose. If that don’t remind you of Mussolini, I’ll eat your hat. Great post. In the past, I have often referred to the fact that this President reminded me of the brain washed characters in the original Manchurian Candidate move.
I have tried to point out more than once the fact that we are headed for a hard left Socialist dictatorship. This president has not only misled the nation as to his intentions, but has surrounded himself with people who openly hate and despise our American way of life and ideals. They openly profess their admiration for the hard core Marxist way of life.
I want it made extremely clear I am, to say the least disgusted with both our Comrade in Chief and the hard left bias of the Democrats and so called “Progressive Republicans” And yes, I openly refer to the President as a hard Core Commie Socialist and Racist. I say it and I believe it to the bottom of my heart. I and others have been taken to task for not only the above, but for also backing up our statements with facts, in most cases using their own words to show one what we are trying to refer to.
In my view, our president does in fact endorse and back Socialists, Communists and every other fringe leftist group bent on destroying our country and her ideals! What you see on display is the Democratic Party at its worse (I guess I should say at its best if you listen to the cry baby propaganda machine). Pat Caddell , whom I’ve referred to in more than once in the past among others has been pointing out for some time now that the Democratic party they knew had been hijacked! Wrong! The Democratic party for all intents and purposes is now dead! In its place now stands the National Democratic Socialist Party! Our education system is in shambles as is evidenced by a study that came out just the other day that 23% or something like that (forgot the exact figure, but it was high) of people enlisting in the armed services cannot pass the simple basic knowledge testing! This is what we’ve done for our children. Basically we have a government that wants the people to be nothing more than servile. Hell, our Leftist leaders do their damndest to make sure the basic ideals this country was founded on are not taught anymore! they revise history as every Marxist regime has done in the past and force feed it to our kids!
Our children do not deserve this! For the first time in my life, I do not see us being able to leave our children a better country! I look at my grandchildren and wonder. What could I have done better? What can we as a people do to save our country for our children? This might be the most important question of them all. Our children are indeed our future. If we choose to keep going down the path we are now pursuing, I fear their future will be one of Marxist enslavement. I fear for our children as we all should! Here we go. Another lefty whom when confronted with open civil factual discourse he resorts to throwing out the race card! Dr. John wrote a factual essay laying out his premise, yet as always, we get the typical “charge racism and hope it sticks” B.S”. Why? That’s an easy one. As history has taught us, radicals engage in hate rather than civility. The fact that this president, by his own words and action being used against him is in effect indefensible, the left has nothing left but race charges or lies. The facts speak for themselves as to this bozo’s disdain for our bedrock principles and for that matter the electorate in general. Yet, this being a free society (at least for the time being) we have to endure idiotic ramblings from clueless folks who are so blinded by ideology they close their eyes to everything else!
Here are just some of my feelings as to the moronic charge of racism by Bernie:
I am a Racist and a HATE MONGOR. It must be true! After all, the NAACP says so. Jesse and Al have said so. Democratic morons have said so. Hell, someone here in my workplace says so. I’m racist because I have a copy of Glen Beck’s “Common Sense” on my desk. It must be true. After all, a person that works with me says he feels that is a form of hate speech for me to have that book anywhere in his presence. He actually goes on to say that books like that should be taken out of circulation and burned so as not to spread the hate. No kidding, this really happened! Of course, those of you out there who know me at all can imagine my “Blow it out your you know what!” reaction to this.
So, I got to thinking. The Main Stream Media, Obama and his “Goebbels faction” (that’s propagandists for those of you who will want to slam me for the comparison), the NAACP and the other usual suspects claim I,Tea Partiers and basically decent Americans are RACIST. As such, I thought I’d put forward my beliefs for all to see. You know. The really racist hate stuff I and others spew every day.
So, where to begin? How’s this for a start? The only thing I owe anyone in this country is the equal right to succeed. I owe them respect as an equal in my eyes. I owe them the right to speak their minds whether I like it or not. I do not have the right to censure them. I do not have the right to force anyone to think as I do. While I feel all Americans should help those who cannot help themselves. I do not owe a damn thing to the millions of people who refuse to get off their fat asses and help themselves! And I sure as hell don’t owe anybody anything for past sins or actions. OOPS! Racist thoughts according to the current fad!
I am opposed to the Socialist takeover of our government by the Bozo in the White House. I stand for the ideals put forward by our founding fathers! I am against the takeover of corporations by the government. I am against the government bankrupting my children and grandchildren. I am against quotas. I am for people earning their way on merit and effort! I am against the vision of this president to transform this country into what I feel is a Socialist third world country. I oppose the very essence of what this administration and it’s lackeys in Congress stand for. OOPS! Racist! According to “those in the know”, if I stand opposed to the President’s policies, it’s because he’s black. Heaven forbid that maybe I feel his policies are tantamount to garbage rather than his skin color. Must be true though. After all, Jesse and Al say so as do our friends in the MSM.
I am for Capitalism in it’s truest sense. I am against the confiscation of hard earned wealth. I do not believe in any way shape or form I owe anyone my earnings just so they can be equal. I’m not rich, but I have worked and slaved to reach the top of my chosen field. As such, I don’t need to be told I owe those who want a hand out anything. Again, I owe them the right to try to succeed and if on merit and effort they can beat me out of a job or whatever, so be it. Then it lays on my shoulders for lack of effort. OOPS! Racist! Listening to the crybabies out there, there are too many roadblocks in their way. Let me tell you right now. The main roadblock out there for anyone right now is the asinine assumption that they are owed! Guess what folks! Life isn’t like that. Get off your asses and earn it! OOPS Racist!
And last but not least, illegal immigration. What is it that people cannot understand here? Arizona wants to in effect enforce federal law that the Federal Government refuse to enforce. OOPS! Racist! We want the borders enforced. We do not want amnesty for “ILLEGALS”! They broke the law. While we are a country of immigrants, the Government refuses to even use the word illegal. Why? OOPS! Can’t ask that! Racist! We won’t use the words Muslim Terrorists. Why? OOPS! Can’t ask that! Racist! The President and those in Congress who are all hell bent to get these people on the fast track to Citizenship all claim Racism if anyone questions their blatant political motives and as such in my view are subverting the law. OOPS! Racist thought there!
The fact that in this day and age the left has to openly play the race card is easily one of the most Anti-American things I have ever seen, right down to the Justice Department (as an example) and their inane idea of dropping the suit against the New Black Panther Party! If the testimony is true and prosecutors have been told to not to go forward in cases of Black against White, then in the end, we definitely know who the real racists are! It’s not me. It’s not the millions of people in the Tea Party movement! It is the very people doing the accusing! Jesse, Al, the NAACP, Obama and all others who not only fling it out there but also refuse to refute obvious lies and distortions! They are indeed the true racists in this country! In turn, that makes them our country’s worst enemies! They are destroying the very fabric of our society from within. The Racism claim is just another means to a way for achieving what they really want, the descent of America into third world Socialist status. Following, but never leading.
As I said above in comment #33:” I cannot even remotely express my contempt for people who are so blind to the threat facing our country.” This President and his followers are a threat to this country! Yet all they have to say in their defense is to accuse us of Racism or worse!

I agree that most of the people here aren’t racists. But, as I implied in post 6, the Obama obsession and Obama vitriol on the site goes WAY beyond mere charges of incompetence. Obama’s “trying to destroy the country”. He’s “a malignant narcissist who has been taught from an early age to despise this country”; .His presidency “is the single greatest internal threat to our Union since the Civil War”; “Obama wants to destroy the economy”; he does does in fact endorse and back Socialists, Communists and every other fringe leftist group bent on destroying our country and her ideals!”
This is reasoned debate on this competency? And this is just random comments from this one thread. There are many posts like this on this site, with many similar comments.
If it was, as you contend, just reasoned arguments on Obama’s performance, I think reasonable people could debate that and each side could assume the others motives were pure and vision clear. To have a real debate, you need at least that, no? As to motives, I believe everyone has the same goal (what’s best for the country) but I have a hard time reading this site and concluding that peoples’ vision of this man is clear. Why? Because people outright hate the man. Not abstract hate – pathological, personal hatred.
It’s kind of scary to witness at first, so give Bernie a pass. Since there’s absolutely zero factual proof that Obama is “trying to destroy the country” and the very assertion appears paranoid and, frankly, cartoonish (what is his motive again?), people who don’t share it are going to wonder why some people here feel that way so strongly. So what is the reason? Maybe Bernie jumps to that conclusion. At the very least, can’t you see why he might wonder what’s going on here and what this stems from?
And before the lecture on how pure everyone’s motives are here and what a classy band of gents we all are, would you care to give me your interpretation of this comment?
