Egyptian Opposition leader Ayman Nour: “Camp David accords have come to an end”

Loading

I don’t think things are playing out like Obama and company had planned:

…the news of the day is none other than Ayman Nour telling a Lebanese TV station that it’s time to revisit the treaty with Israel. Nour isn’t some random talking head; he’s been in and out of prison for years for daring to demand liberal reforms from Mubarak’s regime, and actually went so far as to run against Mubarak for president in the rigged election of 2005. Not only is he a cause celebre in the west, he’s sufficiently prominent that Bush name-checked him in his speech on democracy in Prague back in 2007. He is, in other words, arguably the Egyptian dissident, a guy whom the U.S. theoretically might like to see elected president because his political sensibilities are so western.

And yet, even this guy is hint-hint-hinting that it’s time to tear up the Camp David accords.

Other “fantastic” news:

Egypt’s new ruling military council has appointed an Islamist judge to head the committee drawing up a new constitution, angering some of those who argued last week’s revolution would deliver the country to the Muslim Brotherhood.

Tarek al-Bishry, the chairman of the constitutional panel, is a respected judge who criticised former president Hosni Mubarak and is regarded as moderate in his views. But he has been associated with Al-Wasat, an offshoot of the Brotherhood.

He has selected a committee made up mainly of judges and politicians, including a judge who is a Coptic Christian, but also a former Muslim Brotherhood MP. There are no women.

Wael Abbas, the best-known human rights blogger in Egypt, who was sentenced to prison by the Mubarak regime last year, said it was a “worrying” choice.

So, the end result of Obama backing the protestors will be the end of the Camp David accords and Israel being forced to defend itself on even more fronts.

Is it 3am yet?

Netanyahu

“We are ready for all eventualities because we know that the foundation of our existence, and our capacity to convince our neighbours to live in peace with us, is based on the Israeli army,”

Exit question…does this mean Egypt has to give back the Sinai Peninsula?

Yes, that was a sarcastic question.

What, are you higher than a Hindu? This is exactly what Obama wants.

Obama may be a lazy incompetent nitwit, but his lord and master Soros is not.

Islam scapegoats as a mechanism to create a false target for their own mobs while their leaders bleed them dry.
The leaders in the realm of Islam (Dar al Islam) defines the USA as ”the Great Satan,” and Israel as ”the Lesser Satan.”
Both serve as scapegoats.
Even now, with Facebook and You tube showing their leaders have been behind the extreme poverty of the masses, they still buy the lie.
So, to garner votes, even this so-called ”moderate, secular,” leader is demonizing Israel and the USA.

After all is said and done, in Islam, the scene is always the same unless you are the Lead Dog.
Even secular, so-called moderates know what they have to say to get a chance at that top spot in the sled-dog line.

Good post, Curt. Obama = Carter more and more with each passing day.

Obama does not equal Carter. Jimmah was an incopetent fool, but he didn’t really hate America until we threw him out of office. Obama has hated us with every fiber of his being since his parents(Stanley Ann amd Frank Marshall Davis) abandoned him.

So how much longer before Benjamin Netanyahu unleashes Jewmageddon on the radical muslims who threaten Israel’s existance???

Fox News

Israel is monitoring two Iranian warships about to pass through the Suez Canal for Syria and warn they might act.
Israeli’s Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman says that “Israel cannot ignore these provocations,” according to ynetnews.com.
“Unfortunately, the international community is not ready to deal with Iran’s repeated provocations,” Lieberman said, according to the Jerusalem Post.
Lieberman added that the warships was “a provocation that proves Iran’s nerve and self-esteem is growing from day to day.”
