How many times has it been said about whoever occupies the White House

Some people carry this a bit far.
The president of the United States should be treated with respect for the following reasons:
Whether we like him or not, he was selected by the majority of our peers. Their opinions matter and should be regarded as important.
Whether we like him or not, he is the most powerful person in the world. That power must be acknowledged.
Yeah, well, my Dad always said respect is a two way street.
Barack Obama is not my President. I am his enemy, and Obama’s the one who decided that.
In a interview with Univision, Obama said
“If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, ‘We’re going to punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us,’ if they don’t see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election, then I think it’s going to be harder and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.”

ENEMIES.
I can’t take my eyes off of that.
And we don’t have any core American values.
“Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”
As one of the readers here noted, Obama is speaking about his version of American values, and not the values of normal Americans. Those of us who would like to see American law upheld do not share the same values as Obama.
We are the enemies of the United States. The President of the United States has declared us enemies.
This is the bastard guy who promised to change the tone in Washington.
I guess you could say that he has changed the tone. Obama has made Washington and politics absolutely toxic.
I think Barack Obama has hastened the process by which America’s political debate is becoming utterly poisoned — and he has done it not accidentally, but willfully.
If there is a motto on the exit to the Democrats’ locker-room under Coach Obama, it is this:
The other guy is lying
The other guy has bad motives
And the other guy is the one playing nasty
While those who oppose Obama are enemies, Obama describes illegal aliens as “us.”
“Now, unfortunately, right now this is getting demagogued,” Obama said. “A lot of folks think it’s an easy way to score political points is by trying to act as if there’s a ‘them’ and an ‘us,’ instead of just an ‘us.’ And I’m always suspicious of politics that is dividing people instead of bringing them together. I think now is the time for us to come together.”
(As enemies, presumably)
This is the President whose adminstration no longer says “radical Islam” but insists Republicans are “domestic terrorists.”
“All 50 States are coordinating in this – as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.”
We’re not just enemies, we’re treacherous enemies.
This is the President who ended the “Global War on Terror.” The phrase, that is.
This is the President who claims the Chamber of Commerce is a threat to democracy.
Obama sees more enemies inside the United States than outside. United States citizens are now “enemies.”
The tone in Washington sure has changed.
One thing that absolutely has to change in two years is the occupant in the White House. It’ll be nice to once again have a President who doesn’t think Americans are the enemies of America. This is despicable behavior on the part of any President of the United States.
I don’t just miss George Bush, now I miss Richard Nixon too.
This is the real Barack Obama. People who voted for Obama were stooges. They were had in a big way. Voting for him again would prove beyond any doubt that they are stupid.

So there you have it — the “source” tells a story about Obama “not giving a sh*t” about a meeting concerning Afghanistan. The “source” has all sorta color. Only he was NOT AT THE MEETING that he is popping off about! But from this anonymous “source”, who has another “source” about the meeting, we are supposed to believe that Obama did not give a sh*t about a meeting about Aghanistan — a country that HE HIGHLIGHTED IN HIS CAMPAIGN? Really?
It’s funny — in reading “Obama’s War” by Bob Woodward (I am about 2/3 through it), the one thing I have NOT read is any commentary about Obama being disengaged on this issue; just the opposite, when he is ready to give the military the “marching orders” for Afghanistan, he sits down and types out a six page , single spaced “term sheet” explaining what the military was going to do in Afghanistan and why. Far from being disengaged, Petraeus remarked that that is what STAFF should have been doing!
So who should we believe — Petraeus, Admiral Mullen and the other people interviewed by Bob Woodward — people who were there for every meeting of any import — or the “source” who was not there and his “source” who he claims he was there for this one supposed meeting?

@rich wheeler: #54 Why do the democrats call those who diagree with them “enemy?” Over the years I have noticed they have used this word a lot. Has any republican called any democrat their “enemy?” I’m not saying they haven’t, I just can’t remember any republican calling a democrat the “enemy.”

I don’t belong to either party because when one party defeats the other party the machinery just switches gears. The ones who just took control still have to vote for whatever the ones who donated to them want or they won’t get the money again. This is one reason why an HONEST politician can go bad. If they stick with their values, they don’t get the big bucks donations from the ones who have the money earlier.
I call today’s republicans “republicrats” because they have taken on a lot of the democrat’s agenda. I don’t capitalize democrat, republican, or congress any more because I find it hard to capitalize something I don’t respect any more and they have lost my respect.
I can’t put the word “Obama” and the word “president” together because the title should be earned and not bought. It has been proven many times to any OPEN MINDED person that Obama let anybody in the world give any amount they wanted.

Okay, you took the oath to uphold the Constitution yet your posts show that you are in the far left. That ideology favors big, intrusive government, socialistic programs designed to keep poor people on the government dole and a weak national defense.
I don’t know your views on national defense, but on the other two issues, you seem to go against the Constitution.

Ratgurl, I don’t think so, but if you want to take my word for it as a person who has published over a hundred articles here and conversed with many of these people, I can assure you that this is a diverse demographic from nearly every facet of North American life, (including Canada) with two common binding ingredients, a love of Liberty and faith in the Constitution. I can only speak for myself; however, there will be almost no dissent on those two factors. Our resident Liberals might even agree with me on those two issues. 😉

Statements like that don’t add to the discussion, and they don’t help you make your other points more salient. If Republicans regain control of Congress, you’ll be welcome on this forum to criticize their actions, and I seriously doubt the conservatives and libertarians here will say to you “It’s your Congress; get over it!” We have more class than that.
