I’ve forgotten which republican effort to seal the border was blocked by a democratic filibuster. Maybe someone will refresh my memory on that point.

SAN DIEGO (AP) – As the Senate prepares to tackle the most sweeping immigration reforms in years, a top Democrat vowed Wednesday to do everything in his power, including filibuster, to thwart Majority Leader Bill Frist’s proposed overhaul.

Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said he would “use every procedural means at my disposal” to prevent Frist from bypassing the Judiciary Committee. Frist, R-Tenn., has made clear the Senate will take up his proposal next week if the 18-member committee fails to complete a broader bill.

While it is true that there is very little love loss between the Apache nation and even the Navajo nation, and Mexico, some of the signs I’ve seen don’t seem to point that way. Here is the headline from the tribes website:

I don’t have any friends that are Apache, ’cause the Apache pretty much hate everyone. But I do have a few friends that are Navajo. The tribes are so dependant on government money through the BIA, they won’t upset the apple cart. That is just what dependence on the government does, every single place it is tried.

AQUA: hi, I had a diffrent story the other day on another post, one from apache tribe was going to kill some illegals to help other who was there, and i tryed to get FA authors to dissuade his intent, but they where not available, and the man left us and another gave me the story of how the mexican viciouly murder many in the past before the whites people arrive in AMERICA, and since they hate the mexicans and said, they should give the job to the tribes and it would not take long to do for them. and i beleive him and saw the link of their nation, and i remember some story of the history, and, i know there is some that are poison by drugs and addicted to alcohol that makes them on the margin of their society and can deal with ennemys but it doesnt mean they are all the same, but many are decent people of the land they own before, thank you for your comment. bye

I’m afraid you’re wrong my friend. Being half Native American myself, I’m ashamed to say that many of the tribes are on the wrong side of the issue. The Apaches have been marching with the Open Borders crowd. Long, sad story. Just do a little research on the Bureau of Indian Affairs and you’ll see how the dems got them too.
