First Obama threw in the towel on closing Gitmo.
Then Biden threw in the towel on job recovery.
Now Big Sis throws in the towel on border security.
Washington (CNSNews.com) – Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, whose agency is charged with securing America’s borders, told an audience in Washington, D.C., in reference to the U.S.-Mexico border, “You’re never going to totally seal that border.”
Moment of amusing irony:
Napolitano spoke and answered questions at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on “Securing the Border: A Smarter Law Enforcement Approach,” on Wednesday.
And she did offer a reason why she’s not up to the job:
“It’s a big border,”
You can just hear it coming – “So why bother?”
“The notion that you’re gonna’ somehow seal the border, and only at that point will you discuss immigration reform, that is not an answer to the problem,” she said.
Actually, it is an answer and it’s definitely the best first step. Sealing the border would put a halt to illegal invasion of this country. Then we’d have to figure out how to deal only with those here instead of continuously adding more to the problem. Instead of assisting efforts to secure the border, Barack Obama goes to war with Arizona to prevent it from securing its own border. It has been reported that Big Sis plans use an Obama Executive Order to grant amnesty not only to illegal immigrant Mexicans, but to Somalis and Hezbollah members as well. It’s breathtaking to see from how from many countries illegal aliens come. It’s not just Mexicans.
Americans aren’t allowed into 3500 acres of Arizona because it’s not safe consequent to violence in the area.
The refuge had been adversely affected by the increase in drug smugglers, illegal activity and surveillance, which made it dangerous for Americans to visit.
“The situation in this zone has reached a point where continued public use of the area is not prudent,” said refuge manager Mitch Ellis.
Americans are not safe in their own country. And Barack Obama won’t do anything about it.
Drug violence is ramping up all along the border;
REYNOSA, Mexico – This border city and others near the eastern end of the U.S. border escaped the worst of Mexico’s bloody drug war for years, but now the bodies are piling up, several journalists are reportedly missing or dead and once-busy streets are empty after dark.
The crumbling of an alliance between two Mexican drug gangs has plunged the 200-mile stretch of border into violence, raising fears of a new front in the drug war, a U.S. anti-drug official told The Associated Press.
In Mexican border cities stretching from Matamoros near the Gulf to Nuevo Laredo, gunfire has been heard almost daily, and at least 49 people were killed in drug war-related violence in less than six weeks.
And about those boycotts over Arizona defending its own borders?
Yesterday Fox News reports that Democrats have begun to discover the jerk part of “knee-jerk.”
Boycotting Arizona is harder than it sounds.
Though the passage of the state’s immigration law was met in late April with immediate threats to cut ties with Arizona in protest, a number of cities have either scaled back or created exemptions to their own boycotts.
They’ve thrown in the towel too.
