Rahm Emanuel To Quit White House

Didn’t take long for the first to jump ship:

Rahm Emanuel expected to quit White House

Washington insiders say he will quit within six to eight months in frustration at their unwillingness to “bang heads together” to get policy pushed through.

Mr Emanuel, 50, enjoys a good working relationship with Mr Obama but they are understood to have reached an understanding that differences over style mean he will serve only half the full four-year term.

Friends say he is also worried about burnout and losing touch with his young family due to the pressure of one of most high profile jobs in US politics.

“I would bet he will go after the midterms,” said a leading Democratic consultant in Washington. “Nobody thinks it’s working but they can’t get rid of him – that would look awful. He needs the right sort of job to go to but the consensus is he’ll go.”

An official from the Bill Clinton era said that “no one will be surprised” if Mr Emanuel left after the midterm elections in November, when the Democratic party will battle to save its majorities in the house of representatives and the senate.

It is well known in Washington that arguments have developed between pragmatic Mr Emanuel, a veteran in Congress where he was known for driving through compromises, and the idealistic inner circle who followed Mr Obama to the White House.

The article details how Rahm thought it best to have a watered down version of ObamaCare pushed through to lessen the costs, and thereby their losses at the ballotbox, but he was pushed aside by those “idealistic” fools.

Now if we could only get his boss to leave with him…

More here.

What if the WH got a vision of November and the probability of indictments being sought for certain illegal and unconstitutional activities they have carried out this last year? Fleeing rats are a common sight at ship sinkings.

What is driving me around a block or two is how Obama’s been issued various Social Security numbers that belong to other people (mainly deceased ones) and the law has turned a blind eye over this for a good many years.

Anyway, Rahm smells defeat for his camp coming soon and the possiblity of a repeal of the Obamacare shoved in our faces and the stress of the Arizona scuff isn’t going to bold well for Obama’s camp for long especialy when a good portion of States are taking Arizona’s side in the Immigration Enforcement matter.

I predict a mass exodus of Obama appointees soon. And unlike the opinion of this article writer, I think they will start leaving before the mid-term election instead of “staying on as to help prevent a Republican takeover by appearing to abandon Obama.” I say this because A) Appointees don’t care about THEIR re-election, they will be seeking employment predominately in the private sector, using their political connections. B) They will be opportunists. Once they find a slot, they will jump at it. And most importantly, C), D) and E) Their political capital is now at it’s highest point, Nobody relishes the thought of working for a LAME DUCK President, and one that’s increasingly likely to be a one-termer. Right now is as good as it gets. Rahm would net be “leaking” this out there for all to see if he was serious about thinking about Obama. It’s clear he’s had enough of Obama, as are more and more Democrats who are fearful of the Tsunami scheduled to hit on Nov 2nd.

He’s already slimed the Whitehouse too much and should never have been there in the first place.

I read this and I’d be careful.

First, it is a British paper.

Second, most Chief of staff type positions tend to rotate anyway, doesn’t mean he is going anywhere too far from Obama’s side. He is part of the controlling team around Obama.

Third, and the spookiest part, if it is true then this statement reveals a lot about how truly nuts and Mao channeling Obama’s inner circle is-

“It is well known in Washington that arguments have developed between pragmatic Mr Emanuel, a veteran in Congress where he was known for driving through compromises, and the idealistic inner circle who followed Mr Obama to the White House.”

“Pragmatic”? Rahm’s brother believes in euthanasia of lesser productive members of society! And when I say productive I mean in the sense as valuable to the “state” as producers of income or service TO the state!

Help me out here. If the pragmatic guy has family who makes Mengele giddy, what does that say about the more radical element around Obama?!

Do they sit around thumbing worn copies of Mao’s little red book and discuss possible re-education camp locations? Jeeezz….

Eh, it was thought by some in the beginning that he’d bail after 18 mos, so he’s overdue. And the predictors said it would be because of the clash of practical and idealistic politics inevitable between the personalities involved. It isn’t that unusual for a chief-of-staff to leave, though it may be part of a plan. Maybe Blago will speed things up.

Given that Emanuel is likely the only person in the Obama White House tethered to the real world, and is likely replaced an Obama inside Cominsky Field type, this could prove interesting. It appears about the nnly thing Obama knows how to find is the golf course.

Rahm just won’t have the patience to work in a post election Whitey House which will no longer have dictatorial powers.

  18. NOTHING is ever as it seems. Don’t believe their official statements or supposed statements from “friends.”

The truth on this one will take a long time to surface, . . . if ever, nevertheless, we should be seeing an exodus from the Administration as the “tingly-leg-adulation” wanes and turns to anger.

Sounds to me like the Sh*t is getting to deep and the Rham is getting while the getting is good. I bet he has the Pretender and Chief sign a get out of jail free card as he exits the door for anything he has been a part of up to this point.
