Is More Evidence On Obama’s Presidency Needed? [Reader Post]

The Mainstream Media is tripping all over itself deciding how to not embarrass itself over the latest demonstrations of incompetence emanating from the Oval office. America not only elected a novice with absolutely no worthwhile experience in managing anything, other than giving a speech, but through its votes America also populated the White House with incompetent individuals.

American voters should have thought a little longer on the ramifications of hiring an apprentice President. Of course, the nature of an apprentice is to work under the wings of an expert, which makes what’s going in the Oval office rather understandable. There’s no one with talent or experience in running anything, who might take the President under his or her wing.

For a country built on the fruits and creativity of the entrepreneurial spirit, it remains stupefying that an administration voicing so much animosity toward business and the business ethos was ever elected. I noted before the election that the “Tells” were of grave concern. Now, well into this Administration’s ill-advised ramblings and mismanaged trampings through the complex corridors of the economy, foreign affairs and domestic affairs, the MSM finds itself looking for rationalizations.

The MSM is becoming creative in excusing the object of its sycophancy. For example, the New York times thinks Obama is not able to get emotional or “involved” because he is too “cool.” Hollywood thinks he should lose a little bit of his “cool,” and show more anger. Does America really think it elected a cool President? Does America really think anger is a way to find a solution? Such thinking is not only idiotic, but sadly for the country, it excuses someone incapable of making critical decisions. This has nothing to do with cool.

The decisions that have been required of the White House since the election have been significant, and have been plentiful. None have found decisive or thoughtful direction from the President. Instead, Obama took America on a left turn into healthcare, at a time when Americans were stuck in consternation over the loss of jobs.

America has elected a President who doesn’t even know what questions to ask, . . . of anyone. It elected someone who made more trips on Air Force One and made more speeches than any other President in his first year in office.

America does not expects a single individual to have all the answers, however America should expect the individual sitting in the revered Oval office to know enough to surround himself with people more talented than he, and of whom he can ask the tough questions, and to whom he can give very direct and specific marching orders. The electorate elected a fumbling Administration at a time when a tough manager was called for. The MSM is running out of rationalizations and excuses.
The evidence is in.

About James Raider

A constituent of the vast baby boomer generation with a career which has been fortunate to know the ponderous corporate worlds, as well as the intimately pressurized, and invigorating entrepreneurial domains of high tech and venture capital, I have harvested my share of mistakes meandering through corridors of enterprise from Silicon Valley, to London and endless, colourful, sometimes praetorian points in between. The voyage has provided an abundance of fodder for a pen yielding to an inquisitive keyboard, a foraging mind, and a passionate spirit. Whether political or business or social or economic or personal, is it not all political? It is a privilege to write, and an even greater privilege to be read by anyone, and sometimes with the wind at my back the writing may occasionally be legible. I do not write to invite scorn, nor to invite respect, but if I get really lucky the writing can stimulate thinking. I also write for the very selfish purpose of animating my own processes, and engaging the best of what life offers. Above all, whether biting fire or swatting shadows, I am grateful to be gifted the freedom to write and publish whatever flows down to the keyboard. To all those who enabled this freedom, and to all those standing guard to preserve it, I am indebted.

I thought he was a uniting, organizing, brilliant, post-partisan, charismatic change agent. I was all a-tingle at his speechifying, so much so that one time it even slipped my mind that he was black. How was I supposed to know he couldn’t find his azz with both feet?

Environmentalists Progressives are much more like battered spouses, returning again and again to their abuser based on another promise to do good. And nothing in President Obama’s June 15 oil spill and energy speech should offer environmentalists Progressives any hope that this is going to change.

Obama’s next move will be to double the cost of energy and bankrupt energy companies. So no more light, AC, or heat for you!

Obama knows nothing but how to read the teleprompter with all the right nuances of an actor. And we all know how well actor work out when the chips are down, yep, just about like Obama is.

And how he manages the gulf spill, he doesn’t he runs and hides …

JR, if Obama is sprawled out drunk and naked on Sunday morning in the light of day on the lawn of the White House, the MSM and their spin-machine will try and turn it into a political advantage, while the faithful send get well cards and worry over the “won’s” health and well being.

    @ Steve In Tulsa,

That’s actually a very real concern. Unless there is a serious reaction to his, and Congress’s, reaction to Business and now particularly to oil companies, . . . BP could be in serious trouble. They may have $1 trillion in assets, but if an all-out assault is launched by Washington and the millions of “believers,” then its assets might be “in Play.”

As I mention in the article, such an outcome would make it Open Season on BP and China’s financial guns would blast away with the $2 trillion or so it holds in US dollars.

BP may be run by idiots, and manipulated by some big money behind the scenes, but it still employs vast numbers of employees around the world and many in North America. It also has huge refining facilities which China would love to own.

Just look at what China is doing in Canada, . . . and there’s no one paying attention. I’m not trying to sound alarming, but the imbalance in the current international situation with respect to financial, natural resources, etc., requires a little more diligence from Washington than we’re witnessing.

    @ bill-tb,

Shouldn’t we ALL be just a little bit suspicious of anyone who stands at a podium and sounds like Preacher? . . . ESPECIALLY when you’re not even listening to him in a church?

Why wasn’t it obvious to everyone? Hell, even Slick Willy had him fully figured out during the campaign, and he’s Democrat.

A real president would have already solved the BP oil spill problem. Obama’s approval rating is seeking to match the very low approval ratings of Congress.

We, those who did not vote for Obama, can now say, “We told you so.” This is what you get when inexperienced affirmative action personnel are moved up the ladder with NO experience and not a clue as to what to do. Barack Obama is this nation’s first (and hopefully last) affirmative action president. No experience, no action, only babbling.

What you get is Obama making speeches, taking photo ops, calling together special committees, releasing news reports about “kicking ass”, playing golf, attending games, AND YET NOTHING (that’s NOTHING) gets done. Bailouts and stimulus plans have had NO real effect and his promises have been NIXED by Obama himself.

If I had it my way, I would fire Obama today. His Chicago style shakedown of the BP CEO is proof that Obama IS ONLY AFTER MONEY; money he can control. It is said that much of the stimulus money is being withheld. Perhaps to influence the November elections. Obama tried to get Congress to approve a stimulus for “teachers”; when in fact this money was for UNIONS — to help reward cronies and influence the November elections.

Recall that the Supreme Court ruled that Corporations can in fact spend their money in favor of their freedom of speech viewpoints. This decision pissed off Obama and he said so.

So, the BP CEO was, in a meeting with Obama and Eric Holder (Attorney General), given a shake down; either cough up billions or Holder might consider criminal action against BP and it’s CEO. It’s a shakedown any way you look at it. And, the money; Obama wants to control it to do politicking and NOT public service.

All of this, and as we speak (or write), the Gulf oil spill continues. I really think it is going the way Obama had planned — only people see the government reaction to the spill as something very, very detrimental for Obama and his administration.

    @James Raider:

BP could be in serious trouble.

I think that’s an understatement. According to this morning’s news, BP drilled on the cheap and have drilled a third of their wells the same way IMO, giving Obama an excuse for the moratorium and 20 billion for pass around cash. Obama snagged the 20 billion by threatening to cancel defense contracts, litigation, etc. knowing what’s coming down the road.

Since they’ve put this info out into the news cycle, it will be interesting to see if Holder goes after them or did they toss the litigation card away in the shakedown knowing other parties will have BP in court for years to come.

Reading the more liberal sites, yes, there is still a body of true believers and many are quite literate, even, so they at least have enough verbal skills to read the reports and connect the dots. They just won’t. They are in fact being protective, just like Skookum’s supposition that finding thee Won naked and babbling would only raise concerns about his well-being and anxiety about who could save us.

Not that I have a lot of faith in psychoanalysis, this is an interesting read on the mind set of the victim class, by people who specialize in treating narcissists and other personality disorders:
    http://frontpagemag.com/2010/06/18/a-psychiatric-conference-on-truthful-girl/

warning, peppered with psych jargon and professional polite doubletalk. However, 0 represents victims in many minds. Those whose minds are inclined to fall into the blame game described in this article are also inclined to support “leaders” like 0. As the authors make clear, it is no mean feat to break the mental lock which denying responsibility and looking for authority to come from outside impose on critical thinking. That’s what we’re up against and why I read such articles.

Received an intersesting e-mail yesterday that I believe to be accurate. In it it provides photocopies of a Kenyan birth certtificate for BHO which are documented and appear to be factual. It also states that our POTUS is a communist plant. Seems he may have spent a few years with the Russians in the early 90s being indoctrinated for the position he now holds. Would explain why so many commies now surround and advise him within the admininistration. Will forward if one of the site masters wants to provide me with an e-mail address. The plot thickens. Seems Obama’s goal is to help the Russians bring down this country.

  20. @ Dick Gaines,

Innuendo, unsubstantiated suppositions, and doctored pictures, even when emphatically stated or presented, serve absolutely nothing to the debate.

Without corroborated facts, the accusations are vacuous and actually hinder the debate by providing the extreme on the left to paint all opposition with the “fringe” brush. Neither end of the political spectrum will convince the other, and using the claims of Either accomplishes nothing positive. America deserves better critical thinking, particularly when it finds itself at a crossroads, as it does now.

The majority of Americans, which historically has been right of centre, will respond intelligently to “Evidence” . . . it just seems to be taking a while on this one.

This is what happens when you treat the election of a president like a popularity contest. Popularity does not equal Competence. Even though Obama’s job performance scores are low, his personal popularity is high.

Al Capone was popular in his day, did that qualify him to be president? Hmmm, he did have good organizational skills, er, uhm, :-? Never mind.

Rich wheeler – When you have a POTUS who was never properly vetted and spends huge amounts of money to hide his past anything is possible. I am not of the far right just for what’s right. I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic which you also took if you are a Marine. From observing Obama’s actions, words and the people with which he surrounds himself, I can only conclude he wishes this nation ill and is indeed one of the enemies domestic. I am sure I’m not the only one who has come to this conclusion.

  25. The election of Obama just goes to show what happens when people vote so they can “feel good” about voting for someone, eithero f a particular race or sex or any other reason. People did not vote with their brains on this one. They all wanted to show how enlightend they were and now, this is what we get.

Too bad they never thought it would affect them as well a the common folk.

I’m Agnostic on this argument of Obama’s “eligibility.” What greatly piques my interest is: his opposition to disclosing these papers, the fact that he really is spending millions to keep them from being presented, and the additional fact that some of them have been “sealed.” If he is what you all “say” he is, why are the Democrats trying so hard to keep his past secret? So much is this resistance so that it almost reads like an espionage novel. Where is all this transparency that was promised?

So, I put it to you Rich: What IS Obama hiding? What is it that the Democrats so afraid that the people will learn?
