Helen Thomas?

Rap haven’t you heard, Obama has lost half his Jewish support in the last few weeks. Thomas made the mistake of expressing sentiments openly, a big error in the propaganda press corps. Good propaganda expresses covert and subliminal messages to gradually win over a population. Overt declarations causes trouble with the non-believers and fence sitters, the ideologues and bottom feeders will lap up any swill and swear by it, the rest of the population that is vulnerable to propaganda will see through the BS and lies. Thus the bigotry of Thomas was her undoing and Obama had to cut her loose rather than risk exposure by a loose cannon. Too funny, Rap, excuses are for losers and your Fearless Reader has lots of them, not really original excuses, but excuses none the less. Use some of his if you need to be excused that bad.

Poll: Obama has Lost Almost Half of his US Jewish Support

United States President Barack Obama has lost nearly half of his support among American Jews, a poll by the McLaughlin Group has shown.

The US Jews polled were asked whether they would: (a) vote to re-elect Obama, or (b) consider voting for someone else. 42% said they would vote for Obama and 46%, a plurality, preferred the second answer. 12% said they did not know or refused to answer.

In the Presidential elections of 2008, 78% of Jewish voters, or close to 8 out of 10, chose Obama. The McLaughlin poll held nearly 18 months later, in April 2010, appears to show that support is down to around 4 out of 10.

The poll showed that key voter segments including Orthodox/Hassidic voters, Conservative voters, voters who have friends and family in Israel and those who have been to Israel, are all more likely to consider voting for someone other than Obama. 😛

More than three quarters of the U.S. Senate, including 38 Democrats, have signed on to a letter to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton implicitly rebuking the Obama Administration for its confrontational stance toward Israel.

Hanging over the administration’s deliberations are the gratuitous spats with Netanyahu that Obama has blundered into. These served only to complicate his Middle East diplomacy, while alienating Israel’s supporters in Congress and the Democratic Party.

Just last week, Obama chose to side against Israel in the final deliberations of the Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference. In pursuit of one of the president’s most cherished causes, the United States accepted language calling on Israel to join the NPT and supporting a conference in 2013 on a nuclear-free Middle East. Netanyahu’s government was left alone in its opposition.

Consequently, the question Israeli officials are asking about the Gaza crisis is “will Israel be alone — again?” It won’t be easy for Obama to answer. Another public rift between the United States and Israel is the last thing the White House needs as it tries to wrest concessions from Netanyahu in Middle East peace talks — and as midterm elections approach. But defending Israel in and outside the United Nations will risk a rift with Turkey, not to mention Arab states, at the moment when the administration is hoping to win broad support for a new Security Council resolution on Iran.

Obama would be in this bind regardless of what he had done in the last year. But his missteps have made it worse — and getting out of it will require more diplomatic finesse than his administration had mustered until now.

As if this wasn’t enough, Netanyahu was in the U.S. and was scheduled to meet with Obama but the WH called it off because of the flotilla incident. That scheduled meeting must have been a bit too risky for Obama just couldn’t jeopardize his attempts to nurture his relationship with Hamas. 🙄

A $400 Million “Marshall Plan”, paid with borrowed cash on the back of the US Taxpayer is absolute madness. Support for an illegitimate terrorist organizations like Hamas or Hezbollah leaves me with the same bad taste in my mouth that those idiots Carter and Clinton placed there many moons ago.

Netanyahu has the Duty to defend Israel and I consider his Leadership as more legitimate and astute than Obama, the UN or our Sec State. As no Arab Nations have offered support for the Residents of “Palestine” other than providing weaponry to attack Israel, US Foreign Policy is in need of some serious adjustment and the UN should not be a part of any Peace Process. I saw how well it worked in other places where no Peace was accomplished but some very slippery UN folks became very wealthy and the US Taxpayer got fleeced. I can cite more than a few examples of that grand theft but I reckon that y’all can remember them.

Obama’s treatment of All of Our Traditional Allies has been a travesty and a National Embarrassment. Russia and China find Obama Foreign Policy to be a gift as a weak America benefits them immeasurably on the World Stage. They are Professionals at exploiting weakness and Obama Nation is a dream come true for them. As Obama stumbles, American influence on World Affairs and Our National Interest slides into irrelevancy. This is not lost on Israel, South Korea, Australia or Our NATO Allies.

Even Canada doubts American resolve these days and will be withdrawing their Troops from AFPAK in the near future. It went from the Coalition of the Willing to becoming the Coalition of the Reluctant but Participating.

World Leadership with a lower case L is not buying it. Period. Apologies for America’s past greatness did that and has not served America or Our Allies well. It has emboldened those that want to see a diminished American influence or a lesser America that may not maintain Alliances or Treaties. When Allies question the value of a Partnership, it does not bode well for Our Nation.
