The administration claims are just that, claims. If the stimulus has worked as the administration has claimed, then why the financial difficulty many are experiencing?
And, the O says we should be thankful to him for what’s he done.
I’m not thankful, my parents aren’t thankful, my sister and her family aren’t thankful. In matter of fact, those I know aren’t very thankful for what’s he done.
That’s why he had to bus in an audience for his space policy talk.
I hear that red ink manufacturers are putting on extra shifts!
Let’s be practical, you can’t buy votes with space jobs: canceling NASA’s funding will free up more money to fund votes in the ghetto. November promises to be a tough election, Obama will be in trouble unless he can promise welfare increases.
The sooner private industry goes broke, the sooner he can justify everyone working for the government. Too bad none of his radical Communist mentors ever explained that government workers don’t create wealth, only private industry can do that, through this dirty little economic factor that is called profit, a major component of the Free Market Economy.
Well, I hope we have all learned our lesson here. The next time Wall Street craters, the credit markets freeze up, a major manufacturing sector collapses, and one or more speculative bubbles burst, the government should do absolutely nothing. As they did nothing to prevent these catatrosphes (some claim the government faciliated them, but that presupposes too much intelligence on the part of too many bureaucrats), they should do nothing after they occur. It seems only fair.
I wonder though: If the government had done nothing in 2007-2008-2009, would we have had to withdraw from Iraq and Af/Pak for fiscal reasons? I mean that as a serious question. Maybe TARP and the stimulus bill were really intended meant to keep the DoD funded.
@Grace Nearing:
Well, on that point you absolutely correct.
The gov’t should not be tinkering in the economy at all.
The 1920 depression, which was actually worse and deeper than the Great Depression, proved that the hands off approach works very well. During that slump, the gov’t cut spending by 50% while drastically reducing taxes, thus resulting in the roaring 20′s.
Of course, some of us knew and said all of this before the trillions were spent.
Others are lamenting the condition of the barn door now that the cows and horses are already gone.
PS…You’ve got some cleanup to do over here. Seems you let your mouth get ahead of your keyboard, making a fool of yourself in the process. Imagine that.

Wow, you’re saying that nearly one year ago I made a fool of myself by saying that making political predictions is dangerous?! (That’s about the safest thing one can say on a political blog.) To date, your prediction holds; however, Obama’s not out of office yet — he can still declassify and release tons of memos. Or not.
@Aye Chihuahua: You’ve got a good memory. Even I had forgotten about that which is probably why Obama still hasn’t released the memos. He knows he can say what he wants and there are no memos to prove him false.
Come on now Grace…. don’t you think I was right on the mark on that topic?
How much of the stimulus money hasn’t been spent yet? The last I heard several months ago is that a very small fraction has been spent. Why hasn’t the money been used for what it was PROMISED? We are being charged the interest for it. Oh, I forgot, Obama doesn’t keep promises. Can anyone name one promise he has kept.
I hope enough people learn that Obama’s campaign slogan is actually, “All for one, and I am THE ONE” before the next election. Whoever votes for him AGAIN deserves whatever they DON’T get.
Since Obama wants to be king, and he can’t be king in a republic, all of this is going along as planned. When he takes over, most of the government agencies will already represent the Islamic crescent. I am guessing the Olympic symbol will be five crescents at the next Olympics if Obama wins again.

How long will it be before Mr. Obama blames unemployment on the Volcano?
The ‘stimulus’ was designed to put cash in the hands of Dem coalitions members. In that its a sucess.Folks this thing was not a recovery package.I do admire the Donks for playing hardball and supporting their groups…….I wish Republicans would take care of conservatives and quit kicking them in the teeth.Rule number#1 in politics is take care of the ones that brought you to the dance!!!!
@ Tom in CA:
But the volcano was caused by Global Warming!
@Tom in CA: “Never let a good crisis go to waist.” They will come up with something. The bad thing about the dust for the liberals is that it will lead to global cooling.
I am guessing you are like me and can’t say or print the words President and Obama together. They just don’t fit.
Brother Bob,
Hadn’t considered that, guess they get a two for one deal!
Mr. Obama will catch this one, cuz he always likes to break down questions for all of us hayseeds out there. Gigantic brain, you know. Smart, he is.
