  1. What is wrong with Obama? Why does he keep doing this?

No American President should EVER bow to a foreign leader.

    What an ASS!

@Mike’s America: You’ve got me Mike. It’s a mystery as to why he’d like his approval to go down even lower than it is now. Maybe he’s bored/tired of being POTUS.

I wish I could express how these pictures of his bowing to despots make me feel. My heart just sinks for our country and I can’t wait for him to be contained by the 2010 elections. We must take majorities in congress and marginalize him. The horrible thing is I don’t want all three branches of government in the same hands but with this as our option, it may be the only solution for the time being. Whoever is in charge next round could we dump the arrogance?

He gives a F/U to the country every time he does this.

Cause the man doesn’t thing like an American. He thinks the way our major competitors do, and for us that’s scary. We must’a been doing something right all these years to be top of the food chain. But alas, the man wants the great evening out. American spirit is to excel. His form of thinking is to conform and settle into mediocrity.

Agreed, but it’s been “schooled” into him. He doesn’t know any better as that is what he has been taught from early childhood. I bet it is even second nature, he is so accustomed to bowing he doesn’t think twice and couldn’t stop it if he did.

My heart sinks at the daily destruction he inflicts on our great country in so many different ways. But the independant creative spirit within me will not be quenched. I will find a way to create, to prosper, to succeed… and when this man, this treasonous imposter who bows to every leader but the One True Leader he should bow to, is voted out and America starts down the road of recovery and rebuilding, reinventing and constitutional renewal, rewarding those who work and strive to achieve and encouraging those who don’t know how because of their reliance on the nanny state we have become, then the greatness of our founders’ vision, the exceptionalism of Americans will return and we will once again be the envy of the world and the delight of our God’s creation. And then my heart will rejoyce again.

Given the fine kettle of fish we’ve gotten ourselves into, why not bow? I mean they own us, we’re essentially their prison b**** in every sense of the word.

  7. @mtnsplendor: You have to look at who he bows to and who he doesn’t.

He bowed to the Saudi King while at Buckingham Palace but barely gave Queen Elizabeth, his hostess, a nod.

He bowed to the Japanese Emperor and to the Chinese leader previously.

He’s never bowed to any Western leader.

What does that say about him?

Pale Horse, I appreciate the humor; however, portraying the president of being capable of understanding and utilizing simple principles of physics is a gross overestimation of his intellectual abilities. Unfortunately, the average Obama Lemming or Progressive Socialist will see the bowing Obama as cute or ‘really cool’ and as an indisputable proof of his suitability to be president. After all, it is more logical than most of his other qualifications.

We must be careful to never overestimate the intelligence of the average Obama supporter.

With love and respect for my country I always try to fly my American Flag on National holidays and other days of rememberance. There are usually a few more up and down the block. Is it just my area, (I do live in a racially mixed area of Cooper City, Florida) or has anyone else noticed that on MLK day and Presedents’ Day there were almost no other American Flags flown.
See you at the Davie, Fl Memorial Day Parade!

He bowed to Pam Iorio, mayor of Tampa.

OK, she’s not a “Western Leader” so technically you’re correct. But at least she isn’t a far Left loon, or third world dictator.

Agreed! That is what I mean (just didn’t clearly communicate)- he is showing who he respects – he has no use for Western leaders or our allies, yet he bows to, or hugs, or smiles and shakes hands with the most offensive and dangerous of world leaders. It is his upbringing – the way he has been taught. He clearly has shown that he has no use for America as she is intended to be – it is sickening.

He does whatever makes 67 million morons that voted for him happy; and by exclusion, it makes the rest of us (the conservatives) unhappy. His handlers know that, he knows that and we know that. In this particular instance, by bowing to these individuals he says to those here who didn’t vote for him: F%$# YOU, and f&%$ YOUR America. It also says to those he bows to: “my america is at your service, what would you like?”

Michael Goodwin from the New York Post finds something familiar with the logo being used at the summit, pictured above in Mikes’s photo of the all too familiar Obama bow.

The first time I saw the swirling logo for the Nuclear Security Summit, it looked familiar. I soon figured out what it reminded me of: a crescent moon.

The kind of crescent moon you see on the flags of Muslim countries (from left: Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia and Pakistan).

Indeed, the crescent, often with a single or multiple stars, is the main symbol of Islam. So now there is something like it at an official presidential event, prominently displayed in photographs being beamed around the world.

No, I am not suggesting President Obama is a secret Muslim. But I am certain the crescent-like design of the logo is not a coincidence, especially at an event where Iran’s nuclear ambition and al Qaeda’s search for a bomb are prime topics.

Obama has been open about his aim to improve America’s relations with Muslims. His bowing and apologies are nauseating, but they are consistent with his goal.

And so is having a crescent-like logo at an event attended by Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani (above), among others. The Washington Conference Center is plastered with the design, which includes a solid white circle above the arc, all superimposed on a world map.

Consistent also is a report this week that says terms with religious connotations, such as “Islamic extremists” and “jihad,” will no longer be used in National Security Council documents. The Associated Press reports the aim is to emphasize the White House desire to use more sensitive language and broaden the relationship beyond war. The phrase “war on terror” was also dropped.

“Do you want to think about the US as the nation that fights terrorism or the nation you want to do business with? ” Pradeep Ramamurthy, an NSC staffer, told AP. It also reports business leaders from more than 40 countries are coming to Washington for an “entrepreneurship summit” for Muslim businesses.

What in the world is Dana Milbank hinting at? He’s starting to sound like what he accuses the Tea Partiers of:

World leaders arriving in Washington for President Obama’s Nuclear Security Summit must have felt for a moment that they had instead been transported to Soviet-era Moscow.

They entered a capital that had become a military encampment, with camo-wearing military police in Humvees and enough Army vehicles to make it look like a May Day parade on New York Avenue, where a bicyclist was killed Monday by a National Guard truck.

In the middle of it all was Obama — occupant of an office once informally known as “leader of the free world” — putting on a clinic for some of the world’s greatest dictators in how to circumvent a free press.

The only part of the summit, other than a post-meeting news conference, that was visible to the public was Obama’s eight-minute opening statement, which ended with the words: “I’m going to ask that we take a few moments to allow the press to exit before our first session.”

Reporters for foreign outlets, admitted for the first time to the White House press pool, got the impression that the vaunted American freedoms are not all they’re cracked up to be.

Yasmeen Alamiri from the Saudi Press Agency got this lesson in press freedom when trying to cover Obama’s opening remarks as part of that limited pool: “The foreign reporters/cameramen were escorted out in under two minutes, just as the leaders were about to begin, and Obama was going to make remarks. . . . Sorry, it is what it is.”

Alamiri’s counterparts from around the world wrote of similar experiences in their pool reports. Arabic-language MBC TV’s Nadia Bilbassy had this to say of Obama’s meeting with the Jordanian king: “We were there for around 30 seconds, not enough even to notice the color of tie of both presidents. I think blue for the king.”

The Press Trust of India, at Obama’s meeting with the Pakistani prime minister, reported, “In less than a minute, the pool was asked to leave.” The Yomiuri Shimbun correspondent found that she was “ushered out about 30 seconds” after arriving for Obama’s meeting with the Malaysian prime minister. A reporter with Turkey’s TRT-Turk went to Obama’s meeting with the president of Armenia, but “we had to leave the room again after less than 40 seconds.”

Even the Chinese president, Hu Jintao, was more talkative with the press than Obama. Michelle Jamrisko, with Japan’s Kyodo News, noted in her pool report that Hu, at his session with Obama, spoke to the Chinese media in Chinese, while Obama limited himself mostly to “say hello to the cameras” and “thank you everybody.”

Obama’s official schedule for Tuesday would have pleased China’s Central Committee. Excerpts: “The President will attend the Heads of Delegation working lunch. This lunch is closed press. . . . The President will meet with Prime Minster Erdogan of Turkey. This meeting is closed press. . . . The President will attend Plenary Session II of the Nuclear Security Summit. This session is closed press.”

Reporters, even those on the White House beat for two decades, said these were the most restricted such meetings they had ever seen. They complained to both the administration and White House Correspondents’ Association, which will discuss the matter Thursday with White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

The restrictions have become a common practice for the Obama White House. When Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu came to the White House a couple of weeks ago, reporters were kept away. Soon after that, Obama signed an executive order on abortion, again without any coverage.

Over the weekend, Obama broke with years of protocol and slipped off to a soccer game without the “protective” pool that is always in the vicinity of the president in case the unthinkable occurs. Obama joked about it later to Pakistan’s prime minister, saying reporters “were very upset.”

In “bilateral” meetings with foreign leaders, presidents usually take questions, or at least trade statements. But at most of Obama’s, there were only written “readouts.” Canada: “The president and the prime minister noted the enduring strength of our bilateral partnership.” India: “The two leaders vowed to continue to strengthen the robust relationship between the people of their countries.” Pakistan: “President Obama began by noting that he is very fond of Pakistan.”

Finally, away from other leaders, Obama took reporters’ questions for 20 minutes. They were tough and skeptical questions that punctured the banal readouts: pointing out that the nonproliferation agreements weren’t binding, noting China’s equivocation on sanctions against Iran, and pressing Obama on the failure to curb North Korea’s weapons. The Post’s Scott Wilson asked Obama if he would call on Israel, which skipped the summit, to declare its nuclear weapons.

“I’m not going to comment on their program,” Obama said.

Not surprising. But it’s still important that the questions are asked.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/13/AR2010041303067_pf.html

Sarkozy thinks Obama is going off his rocker, wonder with these to WaPo articles, what he thinks of the Washington Post. Milbanks is whining about access and Jason Horowitz writes of a future promotion of the idiot press secretary, Robert Gibbs 8-O He tells us he spends half his time strategizing for Obama, perhaps he and Milbanks should do lunch:

By golly, you are a hard dude to please. If Bush had escalated the war in Afghanistan as Obama has, you’d be wetting yourself singing the praises of democracy’s champion in his “war against terrah”. But, because it is Obama who is the Commander in Chief, you ignore his bold actions. In fact, you, and most imposters on this wretched site, ignore our gallant soldiers as they seek to vanquish the Taliban, who could have been destroyed by Bush long ago if he hadn’t been distracted by Iraq’s oil fields. Your kudos instead go to tea party morons. All you’re doing is supporting forces that oppose Obama. Now it’s tea partyers you support; before it was our soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Bees: Congratulations on breaking out of the simple sentence syndrome; however, we must be sure to keep a sentence on each side of the colon and semicolon; otherwise, we merely have a clause and that is acceptable in special circumstances. You will not follow a semicolon with a comma; but you can follow a question mark in the middle of a sentence with a dash- ( An archaic form of punctuation that my computer doesn’t recognize, but I put my faith in the early masters and wordsmiths, not my computer’s punctuation skills.); the dash can be used for a semicolon to add informality and break up punctuation style.

Consider these famous biblical lines with different punctuation: (The colon is also used to say there is more to come)

“Verily, I say unto thee, this day thou shalt be with me in Paradise.”

    and:

“Verily I say unto thee this day, thou shalt be with me in Paradise.”

The first version is the Protestant version and lightly skips over the Perdition issue and whisks the crucified thief to Heaven with our Lord. Men have killed over punctuation; therefore; we must strive for accuracy with our little marks.

    From Isiah:

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness: Prepare ye the way of the Lord.”

    or:

“The voice of him that crieth: In the wilderness prepare ye the way of the Lord.”

“Comfort ye my people” (Go out and comfort my people)

    or:

“Comfort ye, my people” (Take comfort my people, things will probably get better)

Of course the ancient Hebrew had no punctuation; therefore, it was easy for devious people to write ideologies into the bible through the manipulation of punctuation; In this day and age, the Progressives are seeing Socialism within the Constitution and have come to the realization that the United States was meant to function as a National Socialist State.

Unscrupulous people can manipulate punctuation and turn the meaning of a paragraph upside down. It is important to have a grip on the importance of punctuation; unfortunately, many people have advanced degrees and yet when it comes to punctuation, the are like a babe in the forest.

Remember the comma, semicolon, and colon can keep a sentence light and floating for as long as you want to keep it going. Good Luck, Bees.

Snookum, these people are delusional, ignorant (or else disingenuous,) and obviously have never read any of the Federalist Papers, Anti-Federalist Papers nor even the multitude of papers written by the Founding Fathers about the Constitution. The founders were expressly against the dangers to liberty posed by a pure democracy (which of course includes all socialist forms of government).

Yes Ditto, I was being outrageously sarcastic; although, they seem to justify their ‘Progressive’ agenda on their “own” presumed thoughts and intentions of the Founders rather than the actual written words. In reality, I think they find the Constitution and the Founders to be obstacles that inhibit the formation of a Socialist State: according to Obama, we should just sit back and let him alter the country according the visions of his radical mentors and family, for our own “Good” by the way.

They seem more interested in dismantling the very foundation that has made the United States the greatest nation in history: to reduce and castrate the country seems to be the goal of International Socialism and our Progressive Socialists, they will use the method of National Socialism to achieve their goals with dubious and corrupt means to that are justified by the goals that they have planned for us in the near future. Unless we stop this steady and continuous pull toward the abyss of Socialism, we have had the biscuit.
