First you have to get through to all the people who sincerely believe that HCR means they now have free health care, and all they want. It’s an educational opportunity, but they aren’t ready for it yet. I’m guessing about 3 pay cycles for people whose employee insurance is affected, to find out how it costs them now. Then there will be a short stunned period. After that, the teachable moment. timing is everything.
Unfortunately, not enough people understood the consequences prior to passage of the bill. If they had, things might be a little different today than it was last weekend. The lies about what is in the bill, the admissions of not knowing what was in the bill prior to passage, the true admissions by a handful of congresscritters such as “control” of people, and “stealing” from the people unless their hands are tied, all are just the tip of the iceberg on knowledge that will be imparted to the country as we head into November.
johngalt, there wasn’t a lot of chance to become informed. For one thing, a lot of people would be stumped by any paragraph in that mess, or lack the reading speed. Beyond that, you can hardly underestimate the inertia of many people when it comes to finding out what is really going on. I won’t generalize or rank the worthiness of their reasons to be unconnected, though, only say it is like a mass that is hard to penetrate. I’ve had students of various ages and on various topics, motivated helps but there is some sort of study stamina that a lot of people don’t have.
Can someone explain why unions receive preferential treatment under Nationalized Health Care. Is there some clause in the Constitution that rewards membership in unions excluding you from paying the taxes that non union people pay on private medical insurance. Is this a reward for sending out union goons to intimidate Conservative and Tea Party demonstrators?
Klavan is excellent. We need to promote our creative people and their work. The Progressive Socialist propaganda has become so ineffectual because of its mediocrity and soap opera melodrama style, that they have left the door wide open for political satire.
Cameras are fairly cheap, we have some characters out there with a sharp wit, and U-Tube is an easy outlet; come on patriots, get your family, neighbors, and friends and be a scriptwriter, director and producer. I think you can put it together.

Andy Stern, SEIU Corruptocrat-in-Chief is the most frequent visitor to the White House & now serves on the Presidents council on why-do-we-have-so-much-debt (chortle chortle). The unions bought this presidency and now they are making sure to stick close to continue to supervise! So of course they have an exemption.

There was a time long ago where I supported unions…before I knew their true nature.
