  9. Sign the Petition:

I Vow To Vote Against Democrats Who Vote for Obama Care

The below signed vow to do all within their power to unseat members of Congress and President Obama for forcing this health care monstrosity down our throats.

We won’t forget the secret backroom deals, the corrupt process or the lack of any meaningful bipartisanship which might have led to real reform.

We won’t forget the false promises about deficit reduction and lower health insurance costs.

We won’t forget how Congress and the President increased the power of the IRS over our lives and forced us to buy insurance.

We pledge to do everything in our power to remove from office those who disregarded the clear will of the people expressed in poll after poll on this subject.

To those in Congress who voted for this bill and to President Obama we have only one thing to say: YOU’RE FIRED!

This is a sad day for all Americans. We are now saddled with an unsustainable bureaucracy that will endanger every American seeking medical treatment. Quality care in healthcare has been defeated by this vote.

Wow. I can’t believe Democrats willingly gave Republicans such a large club to beat them with. This is akin to playing Russian Roulette with all the barrels loaded. Have a fun 7+ months, Democrats! You just screwed yourselves.

    Via Jim DeMint:

The Senate Conservatives Fund has endorsed four Senate candidates for the 2010 elections — Pat Toomey (R-Pennsylvania), Marco Rubio (R-Florida), Chuck DeVore (R-California), and Michael Williams (R-Texas). These candidates have all pledged to repeal ObamaCare and they’re all rock-solid conservatives who will fight to defend liberty.

Please sign the “Repeal ObamaCare Pledge” and encourage your friends to do the same. Together, we can repeal ObamaCare and win the fight for our nation’s freedom.

“We are either a unified people, or we are not. If the former, let us in all matters of general concern act as a Nation which has national objects to promote, and a National character to support. If we are not let us no longer act the farce by pretending to it”- George Washington, November 30, 1785.

  18. Well, they did it. It’s quite obvious that they don’t give a damn what the people think. Fine. We will act accordingly. A lot of careers have just gone terminal in D.C. But that is only the beginning. Mass protests are in order. They can declare martial law if they want to, but it won’t solve anything. Can you say “general strike”? The majority of the people are not going to stand for this. They can’t. The country is broke. What do we have to lose when we have already lost everything? This socialized medicine is unconstitutional, unworkable, and tyrannical. The “two-party system” be damned and the pox on both houses! They have BOTH betrayed us. They are both in the pockets of the “money power.” That’s why nothing ever changes. But this time they have gone too far.

Pitchforks are nice and all but not against tanks and missles. What we need to do is every American must file an extension on their taxes next year…can you imagine what that would do…and its legal to file an extension.

You forgot to put a sign on Uncle Sam saying “Do not resuscitate.” Obama doesn’t want Uncle Sam to recover from his illness. Obama wants to be king, and he can’t while Uncle Sam has any breath in him.

@Cary: My mother lived to be 92 and lived a reasonably well life because of medical procedures done to her, including removing some of her cancer infested colon at 89 or 90. ObamaCare would have said she isn’t worth the cost. Wait until you start hearing about the denials patients like my mom will get now. Every other country that has this type of care is doing the same thing, even Canada. Check into it if you haven’t all ready. It is a little late now though.

@Skye: That is about the best name anyone could have come up with. If ObamaCare becomes law, instead of a national holiday, the conservatives could remember the date as “Dependence Day.” Let’s all mark it on our calendars and MORN it each year if ObamaCare passes.

    @Smorgasbord:

I’ve heard personal stories from people in my life of that sort thing already happening here in the US. We haven’t exactly done a stellar job of protecting our valued elderly, but we’re now heading in a better, if not perfect, direction. Now more Americans will have access to the kind of care your mother had, and will enjoy more time with those they love, as you were blessed enough to cherish with yours, and I was with my father (who died relatively young, but had good insurance through his 20+ year Civil Service employment.)

Some Brits get it…wish more of my fellow countrymen did:

The passage last night of Barack Obama’s health care reform bill through the House of Representatives is yet another blow to freedom in America inflicted by the Obama administration. The legislation, which comes at a staggering cost of $940 billion, will hugely add to the already towering national debt, now at over $12 trillion. It is yet another millstone round the necks of the American people, already faced with the highest levels of unemployment in a generation.

It is also a great leap forward by the United States towards a European-style vision of universal health care, which will only lead to soaring costs, higher taxes, and a surge in red tape for small businesses. This reckless legislation dramatically expands the power of the state over the lives of individuals, and could not be further from the vision of America’s founding fathers. It has also been rushed through Congress without proper scrutiny, in the face of overwhelming public opposition, and with not an ounce of bipartisan support.

Above all the health care bill is a thinly disguised vanity project for a president who is committed to transforming the United States from the world’s most successful large-scale free enterprise economy, to a highly interventionist society with a massive role for centralized government. The United States has thrived as a nation for over 230 years precisely because of its love for freedom and its belief in free markets.

What we have just witnessed is a massive slap in the face for limited government and the principle of individual responsibility. Its net result will be the erosion of freedom in America, and a further undermining of the country’s economic competitiveness. This may be a political victory for the president and his supporters in Congress, but it is in reality a defeat for America as a great power, and another Obama-led step towards US decline.

I hope that everyone who voted for BHO are rejoicing. This is but the timp of the iceberg. Some of you may be old enough to remember the tail end of the great depression (stock market crash of 1929). Welp, you ain’t seen nothing yet.

If everyone thinks that social health care is such an awsome deal, go look up Ronald Regan, social health care on youtube to hear what one of the few good presidents had to say about the issuse.
