Heh, funny you mention……Ohio. Who do we know from Ohio?

President Barack Obama, joined by Ohio governor Ted Strickland, came to Ohio today to continue his permanent campaign on health-care legislation. His campaign events during the 2008 presidential race attracted crowds of thousands of Ohioans; this time, President Obama managed a crowd of about 200 people. With his negative approval numbers in Ohio (44 percent approve, 52 percent disapprove), it isn’t much of a surprise that few showed up to hear him once again talk about health care. On health care, Ohioans disapprove of the job President Obama is doing (34 percent approve, 58 percent disapprove). On the health-care proposal, 56 percent of Ohioans mostly disapprove of it, with 43 percent believing that the proposed changes go too far.

The fact of the matter is that Ohioans are almost solely focused on jobs, jobs, and more jobs. On the economy, President Obama is heavily into negative territory (37 percent approve, 57 percent disapprove) as Ohioans in large numbers disprove of his handling of the economy. Given the fact that Ohio had a net increase in jobs from 1990–2010 of just 79,100 private sector jobs in a state of 11.4 million people, these findings shouldn’t be a surprise. For Ohioans, it really is time that President Obama stopped trying to ram health-care legislation through and started doing what he said he would do in the State of the Union speech — focus like a laser on jobs.

Well I don’t even like my Momma screaming at me and shaking her finger in my face and p obama sure isn’t going to get a pass either. is he learning impaired? WE DONT’ WANT WHAT HE HAS TO SELL? All he and pelosi have to do is throw it away and just sit down w conservatives and work on about 7 or 8 initiatives. It’s not rocket science. the problem is it’s unfortunately not about health care either for Dem’s. The more voters they have sucking on the liberal teat, the more votes they get. Pretty darn pathetic. If the bill was so hot. they wouldn’t have taken a year and all this manipulating of the constitution to try to pass it.

  3. @wodiej: This finger wagging habit of his is annoying. There were several more photos of him poking the air in Ohio with that finger. This is the man whose speeches were said to inspire. Now, all he seems to do is want to lecture us all.

@Missy: I notice he’s held a lot of these little talks in states like Ohio where he is obviously in trouble. And what a pity that it just isn’t doing his poll numbers the least little good (OK, sarcasm off now).

The more this ASS talks with his lecturing, hectoring style the more he is turning off what few supporters he has left. And he sure isn’t going to fool any of the Independents who initially thought he was better than sliced bread into thinking he’s anything but the liberal big government tax and spend idiot we warned them about in 2008.

Iwould love to walk up to him and say “Don’t you point your finger at me, you impudent little ass.” I will just dream on. He won’t give me the time of day; he found out what listening to the “little people” did when he listened to Joe the Plumber and got his lying ass put in place.

  6. @ilovebeeswarzone: That’s very astute of you to make the connection between Obama’s angry finger pointing and that left wing fascist leaving notes on my car.

Obama and the Dems are consumed by their anger. And yes, that is very dangerous.

A carpenter who only has a hammer, will use the hell out of that hammer; but there is only so much you can do with a hammer.

The only tool Obama has is the gift of speech and that depends on having a plethora of tele-prompters: people have come to the conclusion that t takes more than that to run a country, particularly the most dynamic country in the world. Lord help us through the next two years and nine months or until we can give this fraud the bum’s rush out the back door of the White House.

Hate, ‘true hate’ is coming from America for seeing a once great country manipulated by a man so evil that he locks up his past so that we can not see his history. A man who was elected to the country’s highest office by employing deceit and lies. A man who infects our government with Communists and Radicals who hate the United States and its traditions and history; if you think being a true American is laying down while America is reformatted into a Socialist state because a manufactured man who is manipulated and directed by scum like George Soros, and is incapable of formulating coherent thoughts without a teleprompter then you are sadly mistaken and deserve the fruit of this malignancy that is infecting the country; but we are not ready to la down for the Marxism that Comrade Obama is offering. So yes there is hate, we hate what is happening to our country! For the fools like yourself, it is too bad that you will still enjoy the benefits of those who are fighting for our country and its freedom, the freedoms that the fraud in the White House wants to throw away. Damn that vile evil little man and you to.

This was my reason for concluding the whole Obamination was evil, early on; it was founded on anger and hate. For Bush and for Hillary and then in spades for Palin. I think the first two hate campaigns were calculated and laid out long in advance as groundwork for Zero; when every other competitor has been positioned to evoke hate, then this snake in the grass could look good by comparison. And then Palin came out of the blue and the hate just exploded, but this hate is more sincere and panicked.

It can’t be a good thing to negotiate by hate. I despair when I see conservative threads degenerate into a bunch of hating. Hating those who are at least part of the time on the right side, like McCain, isn’t helpful. Hating the foe isn’t helpful either, hating is spreading the discontent.

Like so many of your ilk you have offered NO meaningful, rational or mature contribution to the much needed debate on what truly are the life and death issues we confront. With you it’s just snark, name calling and a dripping condescension that is so bizarre coming as it does from such a willfully ignorant Obamaton.

Your comment history here is a textbook example of the liberal neurosis that borders on pathology. Hate and anger are your bread and butter. Like Obama you are consumed by your own ego and that hatefilled pathology that is your ideology.

Today, in this latest HealthCare Speech, full of non-truths and more verbal finger pointing. . .Nobama took a swipe at FOX News and then said the reason ObamaCare had not passed was that ‘politics prevent it from getting done.’

Worse — he told the crowd that employers insurance premiums will go down 3000% so everyone should be getting a raise — and this got a resounding cheer.

As hard as it may be to listen to his voice — if you have not heard this clip, you should, it is appalling and beneath the dignity of a President.

    Great UTUBE on Stupak!!

Stupak was interviewed by Greta Van Susteren tonight and he indicated Pelosi probably didn’t even have 200 votes — at that time. He was very diplomatic but clearly concerned with what is happening to try and ram the HCbill through.

Another concerned Democratic Congressman spoke through one of Greta’s viewers. The viewer emailed a letter she had received from retiring Dem Congressman Linder — overviewing what is happening wth the HC legislation and inviting his constituents to phone in to a Townhall Meeting tomorrow night. Linder is NOT AT ALL happy about the process being orchestrated and his message is a short, interesting read especially coming from a Democrat!!

I may call in to Linder’s townhall — should be interesting — call-in info is on the letter at the link.

  17. @Curt: That is a good video, but I just have this feeling that Stupak doesn’t have the votes he thinks he does.

@American Voter: Ditto to what I said to Curt above. Obama and Pelosi are pulling out ALL the stops on this one. They’ll promise a federal judgeship to a member of your family, rides on Air Force One, campaign cash and anything that a corrupt Chicago politician can think of.

Thanks for sharing that insight into the screwed up process for the final stages of the House bill:

But will anyone be surprised at the funny business going on behind the scenes in these final hours? This kind of legislative malpractice has typified this “health reform” bill from the beginning.

@Mike’s America — I’m right there with you. . .What am I doing this week to help push in between job and family?
    — NC Freedom/Tea Party activities tomorrow involving honking, signs, rally, at a
Congressional office or two. I could not away for WDC House Call tomorrow but will do
my part locally. I was preparing for the Code Red House Call tomorrow with good questions
and answers, since most of the Congressmen/staff tend to be condescending. Helps to go
in prepared. . . so I am ready for tomorrow if the opportunity presents itself at Raleigh
    rally.
    — AFP phone conference tonight
    — Daily calls and faxes to my ‘favorite’ Congressmen.

    http://boortz.com/nealz_nuze/2010/03/sinister-doings-afoot.html

    Excerpt:

It is official: the President and the Speaker have decided to ram a health care bill through the Congress this week. The first step for this newly introduced 2,300 page bill is for it to be rushed through the Budget Committee this afternoon. As you saw if you clicked on the link to the bill, the legislation is moving so fast that it hasn’t even been assigned a bill number yet.

While you can read this new bill here, it won’t be worth your time. Why? Because these 2,300 pages aren’t even the 2,300 pages that the President and Speaker Pelosi want us to vote on. That’s right: the pages that they want us to vote on haven’t even been completed yet. The bill that the Budget Committee is working on is simply a placeholder because the Speaker is still working out new language. The plan, we’re told, is that Budget Committee will finish its work today to move the process along and then tomorrow–likely deep into the night–the Rules Committee will take up the bill. The Rules Committee will completely erase the 2,300 pages approved by the Budget Committee and insert thousands of entirely new pages into the bill. Don’t worry, though: the Speaker has promised us at least 1 hour to read those several thousand new pages before the Rules Committee votes. No, I’m not laughing either.

Obviously, this is not the way that any bill should be considered in Congress, butt his is definitely not the way to handle something as important as health care reform and something so enormous that it accounts for almost 20%of our entire economy.

If you need to learn more, I will be holding a telephone town hall meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16, at 7PM. By calling 1-800-_________ a few minutes before 7PM and giving the operator the pass code _______ you can join in this discussion. I would certainly value your participation.

They will pass this, even if it means killing and stuffing us all.

In that same posting by Boortz:

f you’ve been paying attention you will know that the plan up until the last few days was for the House to simply pass the Senate Bill as it stands and send it to The Community Organizer for his signature. Then the House and the Senate would get together and agree on some fixes to the new law and pass them by majority votes in both chambers. Well … that’s not working any more. House Democrats are frightened. So the new Pelosi Plan is to have the House and the Senate pass the fixes without the House actually voting on the Senate bill. Buried in the fixes – which would be rammed through the Senate with 51 votes – would be a little clause which states that the House will have been “deemed to have passed” the Senate bill. So … ta da! The Senate bill and the fixes become law without the frightened House members actually having to vote on the Senate bill!

That is the best description I have seen for the process these tyrants are trying to use to pass this outrage now. Clearly, the US Constitution means nothing to them. Neither does the will of the people, nor does the outdated notion of integrity. Article I, Section 7 clearly states:

Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States

    And;

But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by Yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively.

In short, the process they are trying is absolutely against the US Constitution. There is no argument possible here. The Constitution spells out SPECIFICALLY how a bill becomes a law and no amount of spinning by the left can change that. If they continue down this path, any and all who support and agree with their actions are willing accomplices to the attempted usurpation of power by this particular House, Senate and President.

Doing a little other light reading around the net I came across an article talking about today’s planned TEA party event in DC. From the section talking about notes to lawmakers on receiving visitors:

“[D]on’t assume common myths about this bill have been debunked,” lawmakers are told. “Be prepared to explain that there are no death panels, that Medicare is in fact strengthened, and that reform is not a government take-over, but it is an attempt to crack down on the abusive practices of health insurance companies by providing oversight and increasing competition.”

The highlighted section just takes the cake in my opinion. Obamacare is NOT a government takeover? Please! They want to not only tell you what type of insurance you can buy, but where to buy it, and especially that you HAVE to buy it or be threatened with fines, and if you refuse the fines, then there will be jail time. They want to tell your doctors what they can and cannot treat, when to treat it, and how much it will cost. They want to tax the health benefits of people who have certain health plans, so that they can pay for this outrage. If that isn’t a government takeover of the healthcare industry, then what is?

    Another section of the article:

Pelosi said passing the bill would allow Dems to undertake a “debate” with Republicans over “what is the balanced role that government should have.”

So when exactly SHOULD the debate start about a bill? After it is passed? That is what Pelosi thinks by that statement.

    Debate:

: a contention by words or arguments: as a : the formal discussion of a motion before a deliberative body according to the rules of parliamentary procedure b : a regulated discussion of a proposition between two matched sides

So apparently Pelosi thinks that debate about a motion in parliamentary procedure comes after passage of said motion. Interesting, but not surprising given her record as Speaker so far.

From the Land of Rocks, Sand and the Taliban, the “Campaign” is NOT over. The “Campaign” was Obama’s high water mark. All marketing and positive results or substance and but rich in BS, Marxism, Partisan deceptiveness. Showmanship and the cleverly crafted “Campaign” seem to be his only achievements besides ballooning the Debt to record and epic levels and selling an agenda that the great majority of Americans do not want, need or can ever afford.

He cannot sell his agenda to all of the members of His Party it seems and the “Chicago Way” has not intimidated more than a few Democrats. That should be a message that his toadies need to receive and acknowledge as a failure in strategy. Some folks never learn but I believe that American voting public has.
