The Cobalt has received 1,132 complaints to NHTSA INRE the sudden loss of steering control, and 754 of the complaints received in the past six months alone. Compare that to the Toyota complaints over a decade. @<a href="#comment-269689" rel="nofollow">floam</a>: good added info INRE Toyota's resistence to unions. From what I can see with the factory personnel they've been interviewing and sending to the hearings, they have no desire to insert extra union costs. They are happy with their pay, their benefits, and Toyota's policy that they don't do layoffs... at least last year when slower, they just did training and education... still on the payroll. I was also a fierce anti-Ford proponent due to several major issues that my own parents had with the make. Several years ago I opened my eyes to what the foreign makes were really all about and have since purchased a new Toyota back in 2006. Needless to say, it is the best vehicle I have owned, and I personally will not buy anything new but a Toyota from now on. As for Ford, I honor them as having the guts to go through a bad spell financially, make the business changes necessary, and come out ahead and in the black, and all without having to resort to a government handout. Realizing that I stated I won't buy anything but a Toyota when purchasing new, Fords will be the only domestic vehicle I would consider. P.S. I am keeping my older chevy truck and chevy camaro as they were pre-Obama and pre-government motors.
