The Honorable Governor, Sarah Palin, is maturing nicely as a possible presidential candidate. She is more at ease with what she is saying. Her ideas are well formed and well communicated. I am impressed with the conviction of her position on all issues. I listened to Sarah Palin’s Sunday interview with Mike Wallace and accept the reason she gave for her resignation as Governor of Alaska. The reason I believe her: No one is attacking her former lieutenant governor, now the governor of Alaska. Image that.

  9. Two “Other” votes thus far:

1 for Scott Brown/Palin (presumably Sarah as the VP candidate)

    and

    2 Abraham Lincoln

Also, this is going to piss off the RINO hunters. Sarah endorses John McCain in the Arizona Senate primary race with J.D. Hayworth:

Chris Wallace definitely conducted a great interview! I really liked how Sarah volleyed back when Chris offered that she wasn’t a very good political analyst for not offering a Republican front runner. For a just mili-second, I think her reply threw the unflappable Wallace and maybe even he was a little surprised at her strength.

You are right — this was definitely a non-partisan session and Sarah continues to strengthen her viability as a voice in American politics.

Sorry, but Sarah undercuts her credibility by continuing to support McLame.

No Sarah, we don’t need John McLame fighting for us.
We need a true Conservative fighting for us. That isn’t McLame.

  12. @thebronze: As Sarah points out, she doesn’t agree with everything McCain, or Rand Paul (Ron Paul’s son) who she also endorsed in Kentucky, might stand for.

And I doubt that even her most ardent fans will agree with everything she does (such as endorsing McCain).

Haven’t we learned from Obama’s example not to expect too much from our politicians? They are people just like us.

As much as I get a kick out of the Dems having hemorrhoids over Palin. I get even more of a kick out of Grand ol Party floating everyone BUT her as a possible candidate. I understand they even mentioned the hot dog guy outside their office. Perhaps this is a ploy but I tend to doubt it.
Palin is getting smoother and more comfortable and still has that air of honesty. Personally I’ll take a honest person that is trying to do the right thing vs. what we’ve got now. We know where Sarah was born, where she went to school, heck everything about her. We don’t know diddly about ‘The One’ except he flips off those he speaks to and thinks he’s above it all.

I’m exasperated by those who state they like Palin but fret that she couldn’t win the Pres. WELL NOT WITH AN ATTITUDE LIKE THAT SHE WON’T!!

Damn, people, you see an honest, hard working, fighter who has strong conservative beliefs you damn well fight to get that person elected. Especially to unseat that Hack we have in office now. Are we, again, going to let the media pick our candidate? Remember how they told us how statesman like McCain was, how tough he was on the Repubs, and how much they enjoyed traveling with him on his Straight Talk Express, then BOOM once Obama grabbed the Dem nomination and the media tagged him as their man, they dumped on McCain like he was a fire hydrant to their dog. And sweet Jesus, how they went (and still do) go after Palin because she rivaled Obama in charisma.
I’m done listening to the media. They tell me Obama is listening. No he’s not. He tells us he’s listening. No he’s not. Piss on him and the media. From where I sit, I see one politician who’s not afraid to tell the truth, get hit from left and right, and still move forward to fight some more.

What I saw in the interview today I could see in the White House telling Iran that if they don’t stop dicking around then their ass hers. That’s some damn change I could get behind.

@TexMex: You tell ‘em Tex. I couldn’t agree more. I watch Beck for the informative nature of his program…but I had to laugh when they asked him who he thought he could support…Bachman and Demint? As if Sarah didn’t exist. I like Michelle Bachman too but she is not going to be President. Maybe Beck didn’t want to put more on Sarah than she already has to carry. But I have to think that’s not it when I see how the rest of the old boys act as if she never happened. That’s what we want to get rid of with new candidates.

As one commentator pointed out, to start a new party, you’d need billions in back of you and even then…I will not take a chance on splitting conservative voters and let the most dangerous administration in my history (and I’m old) tear down the country further. I left the Dims and voted against this disaster and I’ll vote for anyone who can take back the country. Third parties need to be started when we’re not on the edge of destruction.

The media and Dim Left started this nonsense about polarizing csndidates with Hillary…like it or not she won the Democrat primary. He stole it. He, in reality, has proven to be the most polarizing politician imaginable. So much for that s**t. He won’t get back into office with my help. I don’t care about McCain. He can change too and just might with Sarah at the helm. We’ll be going to war over illegal immigration soon. Not only have the Latino’s written the bill for amnesty but they will further gut the immigration enforcement laws (such as they are). We’ll see who’s who.

Chet, Tex and Skookum, that’s the problem with McCain. He knew about Obama’s communist upbringing, Rev Wright, and the Nationality issue. He stayed away from all of that!! Instead he played Patty-Cake and placed himself above that kind of campaigning. What sense does that make?? Sorry, John, thanks for your great service but now we need someone who will take the gloves off on the way to, and in, the White House. John, you were so soft I was actually pulled towards the D primaries, pulling for HRC, just to avoid the train wreck ahead. That ended when she began stumping for the Obasm. Can you imagine? Tex, I’ve stopped listening to the media also.
They obssess over the weather, sports, movie stars, affairs etc. yet fail to report items like leaflets being passed out at high schools (Ohio) asking students to sign up for Organizing For America. The agenda for this outfit is to further bho’s programs and spend 12 hours per week doing so. There is also a reading list which includes books by Alinsky and bho and other radicals. When I wrote to suggest this topic to a cable news station I was blown off by the comment that “they decide what is news” not the public.

Have you noticed that when Wallace has liberals on his show, he hands them nothing but soft balls, and when he gets a conservative on, the gloves come off. He is as big of a left wing liberal as his old man was. I will say that Sarah Palin worked him over real nice. This country needs a lot more patriots an Americans that love their country. Chris Wallace was being argumentative intentionally. Otherwise why was he constantly interrupting Sarah Palin and being contentious to her answers, such as why she left the job as Governor. Wallace knows the people who were filing the frivolous lawsuits against her and he still wanted to paint her as a quitter.

With an income of $250 K and her salary as Gov probably $150-200K giving a grand total of 450K, and facing 15 frivolous lawsuits filed by people she unseated in Nome (the Entitled Royals) families who had been running the state for 120 years. The lawyers fees alone would bankrupt someone making a million a year and she knows it, so do we all. That’s why they were all thrown out, because the courts knew who filed them and the malicious intent behind them. Likewise, Wallace was doing his part to try to destroy her. If they can’t do it financially they will destroy her credibility unless she is more shrewd and honest than they are, which she displayed in spaces that she is.

  27. @James: I find myself being very disagreeable this morning. I thought Wallace’s interview was tough but fair. It was her first Sunday show interview and she handled it well. If Wallace had thrown her softballs the interview would have been less interesting.

She showed she can handle the tough questions.

If only the McCain campaign had let her do MORE interviews instead of those two stupid ones with Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric we might have gotten to see the real Sarah Palin earlier before they had a chance to attack her character.

The idiots who ran the McCain campaign couldn’t even devise a media strategy for McCain, let alone a coherent and effective media strategy for Palin.

She does a much better job herself.

Why would anybody put Brown at the top of the ticket? This is the man that appeared from nowhere to up set Martha Coakley. While we are glad that he pulled that off, what do we know abut him?

Palin has been in the media spot light for a good long while now, with all manner of people digging for dirt on her. We have a pretty good idea of just what she is made of. If you like it, then Palin is your girl. If you don’t, then she is not. But Brown, he is a virtual unknown. He could be another stealth candidate, just like the Won (oh, NO!)

You might need to check out Bobby Jindal’s “natural born” status before considering him as a possible candidate. I like him too, but I believe he has a problem. Maybe not – it depends on the law at the time he was born.

Just because the Dems didn’t worry about it on Obama doesn’t mean they won’t use it if it’s a problem with Jindal.

I think Sarah’s support of McCain’s reelection might have something to do with those ” RADICAL ISLAMIC EXTREMISTS “. Romney’s too close to them, in fact lots of politicians are too close to them. Sooner or later it’s gonna be a game of ” cowboys and mooslims “. Palin doesn’t just read newspapers and blogs voraciously ( used to drive her staff a little nuts ), she also pays for professional advice like Randy S. THE LADY HAS A PLAN .

Why should she have a plan or a policy at this point? She has not announced that she is running for any office. She is just talking to people, listening to them, and expressing ideas. Joe, 2012 is a few years away. It is premature to ask for “real policy statements” at this time.

@Dr.D: Completely agree, DrD. 2012 is a long way down the road; so much can happen before the next campaign. For instance…and I’m not sure about this because I have to avert my eyes every 30 seconds…it appeared to me that The Dear Reader was reading either from notes on the podium or a screen on the podium at his “press conference” this morning. Did anyone see BobbleHeadBambi this morning? WoW! Becoming one of the “regular folks” then copying Sarah’s method of delivery. Did anyone check his palm? I’d say that’s Change We Can Hardly Believe In.

In the meantime, Sarah has plenty of time to formulate her policies and positions more fully and polish her delivery. So long as she continues to connect, communicate and finally, fully express her positions she’s got us. My God, look at how her every word is trashed by the Left. No need to feed them more than they need.

“bigmike” said she had a plan so that made it a fair observation that she has said very little about what she would do different. That she needs a note on her hand to list her goals raises legitimate concerns about her ability to speak in something other than a scripted setting. You can make all the teleprompter jokes you want and what he says I might not agree with, but OB holds his own in open Q & A without needing to look at his hand. As a journalism major she should be able to speak extemporaneously and not appear that she needed notes for what appears to have been a planned question or at least one that she knew was going to be asked.

Energy independence is a buzz word that is parroted by both parties. Her mention of Energy policy wasn’t quite two paragraphs and included “all of the above” which I guess means she can take credit for anything done. She speaks to speeding up drilling, that the oil industry has thousands of acres of off shore areas that they can drill in today is never mentioned. That the oil industry if given everything they wanted don’t have the capacity to drill more than they are now. Oil rigs are leased for the next few years. And nuclear power (something I support 100%) that is the sum total of her plan.

She doesn’t need to be reciting policy when she is NOT RUNNING FOR ANYTHING YET 6 PACK. I do believe she is getting some great advice. But why would she spill the beans so Obie and the Demons can steal her thunder? Nope, the lady is on the case. So she wrote a few notes on her hand. I find that refreshing and down to earth. Beats the same ole crap we’ve been getting for candidates for some time now. Honest, hardworking, conservative, not obsessed with power and control and no dirt….hmm, wouldn’t that be a switch.

Anyone think they are using SP as a target to divert from NoBamas ignorance — sinking poll numbers – alienation of former allies – etc. . .of course!!

BTW – Tonight, on the way out of work, I saw a lone co-worker in our dark parking lot looking under a propped up car hood. I stopped to see if I could help/offer assistance and was able to oblige with a pair of jumper cables. However, I couldn’t help but tease him about his ‘milk, bread, hamburger, beer’ inked crib note on his wrist and his Obama sticker on the car bumper…

Maybe the lefties are not just slamming Palin for ‘crib notes’ — maybe Gibbs (Fibbs et al) are mocking everyday Americans . . .in all 57 states!!
