Obama Using Human Tragedy As a Prop Once Again; Eulogizes Woman Buried in Obama T-Shirt

Loading

Dude….seriously? (skip ahead to the 8 minute mark)

At first glance you would swear that this has to be a Onion piece, but no……it’s real

I got a letter — I got a note today from one of my staff — they forwarded it to me — from a woman in St. Louis who had been part of our campaign, very active, who had passed away from breast cancer. She didn’t have insurance. She couldn’t afford it, so she had put off having the kind of exams that she needed. And she had fought a tough battle for four years. All through the campaign she was fighting it, but finally she succumbed to it. And she insisted she’s going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt.

Un-freakin-real.

Remember this?

“I am not a ideologue”

Didn’t take long to smash that assertion.

He has been using people as props for quite sometime so I guess we shouldn’t be surprised:

But come on! Why aren’t the MSM talking heads attacking him for this shameless promotion? You think they would of let Bush off the hook?

Byron York:

Others ask how some of Obama’s statements would have been covered had George W. Bush made them — for example, if Bush had pronounced “corpsman” as “corpse-man” (as Obama did twice at the National Prayer Breakfast). Had Bush mispronounced the word so badly — and he did say some weird things — it’s likely many commentators would have rushed to fit it into their Bush-is-stupid narrative. Now, it’s Obama who’s sounding strange. And even putting aside the “corpsman” gaffe, what does the president’s telling of the “buried in an Obama t-shirt” anecdote tell us about him?

And Ace tells Obama….at least memorize her name:

Memo to Obama: If you’re going to traffic in this sort of crap, at least memorize her name, so her existence as a mere prop in your movie isn’t quite as obvious.

This Obama cult long ago crossed the line into creepiness…just borderline crazy now

Sorry, I can’t give Obama 10:46. Life is too short.

Peng Du-huai was the first Defense Minister of China. The only high ranking Communist Leader who was actually born in poverty. He refused to go to the conventions where young teenage girls, between 13 and 15, were supplied to high ranking Communist Officials for sex. Peng was the only Communist official who complained of Mao’s excesses and blood thirsty methods. He maintained that he chose Communism as a way out of poverty, not as a means of maintaining poverty. For these statements, Mao arranged a slow and painful death by torture for Peng. Just another of the tens of thousands that Mao had tortured to death in his presence.

Our Progressive Marxists of the Democrat party hold these famous Marxists like Mao as beacons to guide us into the new Communist State of Obama.

I invested the 10:46 and was rewarded with this little gem: “We have to insure our economy is never again brought to its knees by outdated and inadequate financial rules or by the irresponsibility of the few.” It was delivered with a straight face by the one responsible for quadrupling the deficit in a year.

As for the anecdote about the breast cancer victim, my guess is that he has not memorized her name because there is no such person. If he used her name it could be checked and either verified or not. This was simply a convenient story shamelessly used for political purposes.

For him to remain somewhat relevand, he must invent anecdotes shrouded in lies.

@Inge:

or, shrouded in a t-shirt. I think he believes this. If there is any inventing, it would be his desperate staff inventing nonsense just to feed the beast……his ego.

He didn’t even have to mention the t-shirt anecdote in his comment to make his point, he did it to again prove that he is worshiped, he’s a really, really, big deal.

Had he a whiff of modesty he would have passed on that last sentence, but, he is just so darn important, the “American people” need to know he is still the one we were waiting for.

How could we deny it? a long suffering supporter took his t-shirt to the grave, probably walking around in heaven wearing it as we speak! He’s just so full of awesomeness and must, must unleash it!

Two years ago my sister lost her job at a mortgage company. She had to use all of her reserve cash for her bills to stay solvent. With no cash left and, of course, no health insurance, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was fortunate to have her required surgery and follow up care thanks to Medicaid. So far she is doing well and has since returned to work. In this case Medicaid worked as a temporary necessity, as it was intended, not as a way of life.

@tappin52:

So good that it worked well for your sister, and she’s back at work! My mother also survived breast cancer. She did have insurance at the time that paid most of it, but, she also had a cancer policy she purchased through her life insurance agent.

Many told her she was wasting her money on that policy, but it paid for everything not covered by her health policy and she had money left over that allowed her a little extra cash during her recovery. It kind of lifted her spirits at a difficult time.

Most people would be EMBARRASSED to relate such a story. And most members of an attending audience would be embarrassed FOR them! But Husseins breathtaking arrogance and self-importance know no bounds. And the drooling MSM worshipers making up his entourage THRIVE on such grotesque self indulgence. What a disgrace. This fool has made the US a laughing stock across the world. Fortunately, fewer and fewer of the dopes who put him in office are hanging on his every “I” word.

I don’t believe that TOTUS intended for him to add that last sentence about the tee burial garb… I suspect that was an Obama ad lib on his own. It was offensive, and unnecessary.

However even the POTUS inappropriate comment was usurped by the reaction. I was floored that the audience laughed at that comment! So I had to see just where he made this latest campaign appearance…

… no surprise. He was addressing the Democratic National Committee / DNC / OFA / Organizing For America.

I’m with Old Puppy here. Everyone who laughed, as well as the POTUS should be embarrassed.

Well, we are now getting details of the sad story.

!. Free mamograms were available in her city, St. Louis, Missouri at St. Anthony Hospital.

2. She had a high deductible health insurance policy.

3. She knew she had a lump but failed to seek treatment before the cancer had spread throughout her body.

4. She was not buried in the t-shirt, she was cremated in it, but it wouldn’t have quite worked as well for the manchild to say “She was cremated in an Obama shirt.” Even the democrats would be forced to agree that that would be ghoulish…..”buried” generated weak applause…..”cremated” maybe stunned silence.

and 5. I had forgotten about the little controversy about waiting til age 50 for mammograms. I think I saw that “Melanie” was in her 40’s, she wouldn’t have been eligible for a mammogram under ObamaScare.

One of the sites where I read about this story was:

http://gatewaypundit.firstthings.com/2010/02/obama-st-louis-campaign-supporter-died-of-breast-cancer-says-she-couldnt-afford-exam-but-breast-exams-are-free-to-poor-in-st-louis-video/

This echoes Obama’s bizarre proclamation during the presidential campaign of “having a bracelet, too” of an unnamed soldier from a military family, following McCain’s remark about being given a bracelet.

Here’s the embarrassing recap I snagged from Newsbusters, posted way back in September of 2008:

Barack Obama has a bracelet, too.

That inartful comeback will likely filter out through the political ether in the days ahead. What might not filter through our partisan press is that shortly after pointing out that, like John McCain, he sports a bracelet given to him by a military family, Barack Obama had to stop and look down find out the name of the soldier he’s honoring.

That soldier is Ryan David Jopek. Barack Obama doesn’t appear to have known that fact.

Here’s his complete line:

“Jim, let me just make a point. I’ve got a bracelet too. From, Sergeant, uh, uh, from the mother of, uh, Sergeant, Ryan David Jopek.”

Had a Republican, say Sarah Palin, made this gaffe, who wants to bet that we wouldn’t hear this clip repeated endlessly during the post-debate spin shows and in the days ahead? How much would the sincerity of our hypothetical Republican politician be called into question.

I didn’t hear it discussed once in the post-debate coverage. Did you?

Since Obama inaugural, Republicans have had to face a series of “cr@p sandwiches” that they have been presented. HCR was just one more.

Besides if HCR had passed the afternoon of the Obama inaugural, Melanie Shouse would still have to wait 3 more years for the benefits part of the legislation to kick in, while her “friends,” the Democrats collected (and spent) taxes and said there was nothing they could do.
