You can see, by using a ruler against these graphs, that both show very steady rates of change. The little things that bump favor up or down are represented in the small peaks. There is a steeper rate of change in extreme feelings (cornered rats vs. the disillusioned), which is buried in the flatter general overall rate of decline. It tells me there is still a big mass hovering around the middle of the opinions sampled, but they are slowly getting chipped off and moving to the extremes, and the picture for him is always trending down, even among supporters. There will be a point, if this keeps up, which will be the famous tipping point, where he loses the middle. We could make a guess based on the amazing evenness of this trend. Bets?
Look at the bright side. Obama has stimulated some businesses. Each time he has told us not to listen to someone or business that someone of business has increased in popularity. Examples: (1) Joe The Plumber (2) Rush Limbaugh (3) Fox News. I am hoping he starts telling people not to listen to me so I can be number 4.
