There are several reasons that the failed Christmas attack stirs Americans. One of them is the Obama Admin’s politically correct approach to war. Another is the political divide people have between admitting there is a global holy war against Americans vs believing Al Queda attacked American in 2001 because they didn’t like George Bush or his invasion of Iraq in 2003. The biggest stir factor, however, is the fact that a moron w explosive underwear was able to get on a plane (despite lots of intel given to the Obama Admin warning of this attack), and the only thing that stopped him was a bad detonator; ie, luck.
Obama’s references to the terrorist as a “suspect” who “allegedly tried to ignite an explosive device.” You can hear the echo of FDR: “Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 — a date which will live in infamy — Japanese naval and air force suspects allegedly bombed Pearl Harbor.”
Obama reassured the nation that this “suspect” had been charged. Reassurance? The president should be saying: We have captured an enemy combatant — an illegal combatant under the laws of war: no uniform, direct attack on civilians — and now to prevent future attacks, he is being interrogated regarding information he may have about al-Qaeda in Yemen.
Instead, Abdulmutallab is dispatched to some Detroit-area jail and immediately lawyered up. At which point — surprise! — he stops talking.
One should wonder not if Obama is defending the American people (he’s not), but rather…when Al Queda gets a good detonator and succeeds in killing Americans, what will Obama’s excuse be? He can’t blame Bush. He can’t say he was taking the threat seriously (he’s not). He can’t blame Republicans who barely have a minority in Congress. He can’t blame American imperialism as he’s practiced the opposite. So, if all those tried and true excuses and conspiracy theories of the past don’t sell….does that mean HE screwed up, and something (anything) that the Bush Admin did to prevent terror attacks was correct? That’s a question that-if answered in the affirmative, collapses the far left nutroots house of conspiracy theory lies.

Scott there is a difference between being politically correct and having sympathies for your enemy and their cause: being politically correct is a sacrificial approach to war, having sympathies for your enemy approaches treason!
Is this White House and Congress Paranoid schziophrenic when it comes to security positions? They’ve devoted more resources toward monitoring small towns in such as Lindsborg, KS (aka Little Sweden), and other locations for domestic right wing threats instead of seeking and destroying real external hostile threats.
I am surprised the 9/12 event on the Captial did not suffer from sabotage attempts by leftist groups posing as TEA party members to, “prove” conseravtive groups like the Tea Party protestors are a physical threat to the Nation.

And yet now, two full branches of the Federal Government eyeballs its domestic citizens (many of which are veterans of Korean War up to current conflicts) for “threats” while turning a blind eye and pandering to the political intrests of the Enemies whom will still follow though with their orders and oaths to ensure the orginal Fatawa declared in 1996 is completed. I’m starting to think that this White House and Congress will still try to appease and pander to the enemy even if a nuclear attack on a major city happens due to how they are acting.
Almost ten years after 9/11/01 and the United States Department of Justice has failed to file any formal charges against Osama Bin Laden, or name him as a suspect. The FBI’s Most Wanted website claims Osama Bin Laden is wanted for “MURDER OF U.S. NATIONALS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES; CONSPIRACY TO MURDER U.S. NATIONALS OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES; ATTACK ON A FEDERAL FACILITY RESULTING IN DEATH.” But there is no mention of 9/11/01…..
Now I don’t support Obama……but at least he’s calling this guy a “Suspect.”
Why are you so hung up on semantics? Don’t you understand that Obama’s job is to conduct war while still convincing the world he’s a bleeding heart….?
A, “suspect” is someone whom is suspicious of a certain illegal act. This guy is not suspicious, but known to have attempted to blow up an aircraft due to the physical damage to his body and the bomb acquired by FBI. The only suspicious part of the man that makes him a suspect is his connections to which Faction had backed this attack.
He (POTUS) can’t really punish the Islamic terrorists since they are a part of his family. You know, blood is thicker than water. Are all terrorists Islamist or are all terrorists black? Seems to be both since the POTUS claims to be black but his ancestors (and his childhood educators) are all Islamist. No wonder all of his background history is hidden from the public.

Not exactly a logical dilemma.
A whole government building teeming with lawyers and no one can fashion a Declaration of War, why ?
Do that and the clown in the big white house on Pennsylvania Ave. will know we are at war, and he will stop sending our Soldiers, Sailors, Airman, Marines and Coast Guardsmen into harm’s way.
Otherwise bring ’em all home so we can defend the Homeland against the actions that this administration’s words and deeds are likely to produce.
